Soma - BodyTalks

Dana Biechonski

Step into my somatic world. I'm Dana. since 2008, I move, study, and work in the somatic field. I'm a chronic symptom thriver, as I like to say it. I suffered from chronic pain for 15 years, and that was my door and curiosity that brought me into this world and profession. In this podcast, I invite my teachers, colleagues, and people to talk about it and about themes in the field - our bodies, pain, emotions, posture, movement, relationships, nervous system, trauma, and much more. Welcome, I'm happy you are here.

  • 11 - You ask I answer - How to manage a moment of trigger?

I got this question recently from a client and I thought it was worth sharing it here as well.

My answer is partly based on The Bodyknot - a communication module from the Bodynamic system I simply love,

It made so much order and sense in my personal life and experience, and I use it, in many ways, with my clients.

  • 9 - Moving Authentically with Gina Ora Yoli

I'm thrilled to share with you all this talk.

Gina has been a significant step in my own personal journey in the somatic field and the one that turned it into a professional journey.

Gina Ora Yoli studies dance/ performance/ choreography (B.A) and completes a Master in Expressive arts and dance movement psychotherapy. (M.A BC-DMT). She has been an art and movement psychotherapist for 30 years and facilitating Authentic Movement since 2000.                   Gina's work has included psychiatric (Harvard teaching hospital, McLean), educational, and social service settings. She has been in private practice since 2009.

Gina's passion led her to explore how movement, expression, healing, and spirituality converge. This led her to the island of Java, Indonesia where she studied with meditation and movement masters. The practice of Authentic Movement provided Gina the perfect container in which to explore embodied consciousness within the freedom of movement.

Gina is an ongoing student of Non-Dualism and Shamanism, integrating into her body of work.

She was born in the U.S, raised in Jerusalem, and is currently a resident of the Fruska gora, Serbia.
