Kari has a special announcement - she’s launched a new show! It’s called This Feels Important and it’s an exploration into the hairy, scary, weird, and sometimes orgasmic journey of navigating our ever-evolving relationships to self, others, and the world around us.
Your hosts, Kari Keating and Tory Dube - along with a lineup of epic guests - open the floor for honest discussions about the taboo feels (sex! money!), the painful feels (miscarriages! divorce! grief!), and the fun feels (psychedelics! sex again!) that are inevitable, necessary and freaking important as we all navigate the highs, lows and in-betweens of the human experience.
To highlight the next evolution of Kari, Work Hard Mom Hard is putting a spotlight on the first episode. In the inaugural episode, Kari and Tory share their inspiration for the podcast (hint: they went through some things), their intentions for this new exploration, and the one thing they hope you will gain from joining them. Let’s start the feels!

Mon, 30 Mar 2020 - 20min - 91 - 91: Six guiding business principles to help you stand out in the crowd!
Let's face it. There is a lot of noise out there. Everywhere you turn there is another program trying to teach you a new strategy to beat the algorithm and have your next 6-figure launch. But what if I told you the key to your success can't be found in the next strategy or system but in you laying a solid foundation into your business infrastructure?
Now more than ever your business foundation matters. When the chaos is high and we’re faced with new situations, having a solid foundation will set us above the competition. Inside my programs, we focus on six guiding principles that are the fundamentals of our business. We've found that when these are in place, the process of uncovering your own unique voice (which is the key to standing out in the crowd!) becomes second nature. We also believe that we are here to do a lifetime’s work, not a season, so laying a strong foundation is the key to having everything we want.
On top of that, focusing on these principles gives us clarity on who we are and how we serve the world in only the way WE can. And when we have that clarity, the confidence comes easy and this business becomes fun!
And isn't that the point? We think so!
Do you want to learn more in a no-stress, no-pressure coaching session? I’ve decided to open up my calendar for the next few weeks for FREE 30 MINUTE coaching sessions. Thu, 05 Mar 2020 - 37min - 85 - 85: Why Collaboration is the Key to Your Success with Women& Inc Founder Lindsay Roselle
In early 2014, after nearly a decade in the corporate world, Women& Inc founder Lindsay Roselle sought out a group of successful, supportive women to connect with as mentors to help her generate ideas and brainstorm solutions to challenges related to her small business. Realizing that few opportunities for that type of connection already existed outside of a personal network, Lindsay had the initial idea for what would later become Women& Inc.
By Spring 2015, Lindsay had shared the idea with several other entrepreneurial women in Fort Collins who all expressed similar desires for connection, so the first event - Women& Whiskey - was planned for late March. Expecting 15-20 women to come, almost 90 showed up, and the organization was officially born. Since then, Women& Inc has hosted connection events every other month focused on bringing women together to learn more about each other, share advice and ideas, and get educated about craft spirits at Social.
In this episode of Work Hard Mom Hard, Lindsay and Kari share their top advice for new moms, a shocking statistic for women-owned businesses (that we can change), why women need to be in a room together, why you shouldn’t play it safe in your businesses, and much more. This episode is a lighthouse in the storm for all you business owners and moms. Fellow boy moms unite!

Katie Saffert joins the second-timers club on Work Hard Mom Hard! Katie and Kari discuss how events and community have shaped their businesses over the last year, why being in the proximity of people’s dreams matter, and how you can better connect with your tribe.
September is about momentum on the podcast, and events can create major momentum for your business and life. Katie describes what building community and being a leader looks like and shares a special deal for listeners to attend her upcoming Build Your Brand Workshop for females only!
This episode will bring encouragement and inspiration to all types of business owners.
Katie is a brand strategist and visionary who has cultivated a community for female entrepreneurs. She has created this community to make space for female-owned brands to be seen and heard for who they are and consult them on how to show up for what they do.
After being an entrepreneur for 12 years, prior to opening Hatched Collective, she realized there was a lack of available resources for how to build a community and how to build a business. Her goal is to inspire women to step into their power and become the leader within their own community.

Thu, 11 Jul 2019 - 1h 01min - 57 - 57: Nourishment for the mind, body and soul with Hannah Johnson
Hannah Johnson is a children and infant health advocate, a family nourishment speaker, a mom to 2 boys, and most importantly, a work in progress. She has a degree in business and a background in nutrition, strength training and physical fitness.
While managing a household, being a wife and a mom, she found herself lost in what she was beyond those roles. With a deep understanding of what it means to nourish our bodies, having children made her realize exactly where that practice begins. So with two little human teachers at her side, she is diving deep into creating connection and education for parents that want to find high quality nourishment for their whole family (belly, body and brain) in the most convenient fashion.
She is incredibly passionate about helping children get the absolute best start in life and empowering their parents to bring intentional guidance to raising resilient children.
One of my favorite conversations to date, this conversation has so many practical and inspiring takeaways for the struggling mom. From dealing with screen time to eating healthy to different parenting styles, you will leave this episode feeling supported, understood, and loved. And that even applies to the non-parents!

Thu, 20 Jun 2019 - 1h 06min - 54 - 54: Mindset Monday - Should you quit your day job?
I used to be the girl who would have one too many tequilas at a party and tell all my friends to quit their jobs and follow their dreams. I would map the whole trajectory of their business and tell them how amazing they would be. Naturally, they would just laugh at me and then tell me I was crazy. But I loved my naivety and willingness to dream.
Now after having been an “entrepreneur” for four years and have practiced what I preach, I’m singing a different tune.
That doesn’t mean I think you shouldn’t quit your day job, but I do believe there are some fundamental things you should focus on before you do. And in this episode, I dive into them!
Highlights for this mindset:
1:25 - The truth of the Instagram quote cards
3:49 - How I got lucky when I started as a coach
5:21 - You should not burn the ships and quit your job.
7:34 - What I would have done if I could do it again.
8:05 - Two things to do now to prepare to take your side hustle full-time
10:56 - Why it's better to build your dreams on anticipation
14:04 - Okay, but how will I know when it's time to really quit?
About me:

Mandy Sciacchitano is a certified life coach and speaker who specializes in helping over-giving, service-driven women avoid burnout and love themselves and others better through boundaries, worthiness and personal power work.

As many of you know, I’ve been going through a massive shift over the last month or two. After losing my cousin, I took some much-needed time off from work and social media and just allowed myself the space to really be where my feet are.
There was so much I learned from creating that space. I was able to re-calibrate a lot of the things I was working on, and most importantly, just realign how I was spending my time. I was able to tune into the subtle pieces of feedback I was receiving from my clients and the people surrounding me. And ultimately what I realized is that I need to make some changes.
I started to realize that the mastermind that I had created wasn’t the right container for my clients to be working in. I asked for even deeper feedback from my clients and my audience and my mentors. I was willing to say “Hold up! Something doesn’t feel right here.” and actually take a hard look at what would feel right. And so I decided, in the middle of the program, to change everything.
In this episode, I go into the depths of what it looks and feels like in the middle of a pivot. As you can imagine there was a lot of fear changing my mind but knowing that it was coming from a space of truly wanting to get my clients the results they are seeking is what makes the fear, the uncertainty, and everything else so worth it!
Highlights:
1:08 - Why it’s time for a massive pivot
5:46 - Reevaluating your plan
7:07 - Surprising outcome from social media detox
9:45 - Creating the life you want
13:21 - Create the space to hear feedback
14:18 - Be brave enough to act and willing to assess feedback
About me:
I’m Kari Keating, mom of 3 young boys, that ditched a 17-year, 6 figure corporate career to go after her dreams. Thu, 11 Apr 2019 - 41min - 41 - 41: Finding your people and fueling your passions with Generation.Mom co-founders Lara Schulte and Jenn Rout
Bleary eyed with newborns and messy hair, yearning for connection and parenting help, Lara and Jenn found themselves (and met each other!) in a new mom group. After 3 months of conversation about the angst surrounding tummy time and Velcro swaddles, they took their conversation to a more personal level over red wine with their kids in ergos.
Gradually, the conversations increased to nighttime texts over teething, sleep challenges, and how to navigate the transition to solids. As Jenn and Lara began to get their footing together in their new role as moms, they created the space for real conversation over adult dinner to finally talk about themselves, as women and as friends, not just how they were moms. Over this dinner, they both realized that there was a need and space for something big and exciting in each of their lives. Lara was ready to pivot her business away from the corporate world, and Jenn was looking for greater connection and honest conversation within the greater Mom community.
From there the idea to create a podcast and a supportive, authentic and thriving Mom community was born. This podcast is the story and lessons learned so far from Generation.Mom.
Highlights of our conversation:
4:05 - The origins of Generation.Mom
8:20 - Why aren't more talking about modern motherhood?
14:44 - What does the Generation.Mom community look like?
18:02 - The top themes that Jenn and Lara see in their community
22:19 - The next evolution for this community
25:13 - Words of encouragement for the mother in the middle of it
27:24 - Life as a mother and businesswoman - what it looks like right now
30:58 - How Lara and Jenn managed to act on their idea
34:02 - Deciding on the most important parts to work on
36:36 - Tips on creating a thriving Facebook group
42:44 - What are Jenn and Lara most excited about
46:02 - Pushing past the fear of sharing your message
51:04 - The future for Generation.Mom
53:19 - Managing the frustration of motherhood and business
56:12 - Everything is feedback
57:20 - Advice we wish we had from the beginning

Thu, 04 Apr 2019 - 1h 06min - 40 - 40: Mindset Monday: 3 lessons I learned on my social media break
Some of you may or may not have noticed that I took a last week completely off. After the passing of my cousin, I decided to take a break from social media and work. It was a much-needed pause on almost everything in my life, except of course, for mothering. I threw myself into it as much as I possibly could.
I had been feeling the pull to take a social media break, specifically Instagram, for a while now. But I had a lot of fear in pausing as Instagram is a huge part of my business. But for some time now I had been feeling like it was getting super noisy and I was having a hard time really sharpening my message and utilizing the platform and the little influence that I must really make a difference.
So, I took a break. A much needed one. And I learned a lot during this time, but I wanted to break down my three biggest learnings I had.
Highlights:
0:46 - A word of gratitude
2:35 - Lesson 1: Notice
8:01 - Lesson 2: Space
11:00 - Lesson 3: Fun
15:08 - The ultimate goal

Thu, 21 Mar 2019 - 49min - 38 - 38: Mindset Monday - You aren’t doing it wrong!
Last Wednesday Facebook and Instagram crashed for the day, and I have to say it felt incredibly freeing. I love using social media as a tool to grow my business, but the reality is that it doesn’t always feel like that’s happening. Instead I feel like I’m just getting more noise in my head about how I should be running my business and parenting and dressing myself and ALL THE NOISE!! And for the day I let go of the feeling of needing to check my stuff and just hung out with my kids and thought about how I would get my medicine to more people if Facebook and Instagram weren’t around.
And that got me thinking...if I am feeling like this then there MUST be more people out there feeling this way too. And what would I say to my bestie if she was telling me that all this noise was in her head? I would look her in the eye and say DELETE the app and start creating your life and business without all the noise and remember, you aren’t doing it wrong! Stop second guessing that amazing idea of yours and just start asking people if they think it’s awesome too!
Highlights for this episode:
1:28 - Whether in parenting, business - ANYTHING - you are...
2:22 - Things outside my control show me something I've been craving
3:36 - Try doing this with people's opinions

Thu, 14 Mar 2019 - 53min - 36 - 36: Mindset Monday - The Fastest Path to Forgiveness
I had the honor of sharing my story this past weekend at The Bliss Project. It was such a beautiful space full of women - 500 of them - who were ready to let go of the things that were holding them back from living an incredibly abundant life.
I shared some of the traumas that have happened to me over the past few years and how I’ve moved through them. I recently shared on this podcast my biggest lessons while navigating these traumas. My talk was so well received, and it was surprising how many women could find themselves in my story.
But after I spoke, I had probably 20 women come up to me after and ask, “How do you forgive people when they’ve done something so hurtful to you?”
I heard so many stories and situations of real trauma, and I could see the pain in these women’s eyes. Yes, pain from the actual situation, but more so pain from just wanting to move on and not really knowing how to.
When I really sat with it and asked myself how I forgave and moved on, the realization that I had was that I was able to remove me from the equation. I know that other people's actions and words have nothing to do with me. They are just projections of their own insecurities. By taking myself out of the equation, I’m able to remove my emotion from it and allow myself the space to see things a bit more clearly. It doesn’t take away the pain of the action that was done, but it allowed me the space to move on.
Highlights for this episode:
0:58 - The truth behind my personal meditation time
2:16 - What does forgiveness have to do with mindset?
2:52 - I recap The Bliss Project weekend
5:08 - How do you start to forgive?
7:06 - A personal, family example to help you see your story in my own
9:58 - One mindset to help you move towards forgiveness
11:52 - An invitation

Thu, 07 Feb 2019 - 45min - 26 - Episode 26: Mindset Monday - The different faces of fear
There has been a lot of talk in the WHMH community about fear lately. I think so many people came into 2019 ready to really start tackling their goals and strategizing about how to make them happen, but once they started moving, ALL THE THINGS came rushing back in. The excuses, procrastination, anxiety, anger, guilt, frustration, etc. You name it, these nasty feelings started creeping in.
Some of you are quick to recognize that it’s just an old pattern wanting to hold onto you and keep you small, while others are letting it take you out. Nope. I’m not going to let that happen this time.
The FASTEST way to bust through this wall is to identify what you must believe about yourself in order to make it happen. These patterns are just there to show you that there is something uncomfortable ahead, and it’s a new space. So the only way to build your courage muscle is to change your belief.
Highlights for this episode:
1:00 - The why behind Mindset Monday's
2:21 - How fear hides itself
5:32 - How you can break the walls of your fear
7:27 - Every next level of your life will demand a different you

Mon, 28 Jan 2019 - 09min - 23 - Episode 23: A conversation with your soul with Tania Jane Moraes-Vaz
Tania Jane Moraes-Vaz is a woman of many hats, personally and professionally. Born with an entrepreneurial spirit, Tania knew the 9-5 grind is no place for her free soul. A creative maven and visionary at heart, Tania is a three-times best-selling author, founder of The PCOS Thrive Collective, and Fleeting Moments By Jane Photography & Creative. She also is Developmental and Managing Editor at Golden Brick Road Publishing House, and host of The Holistic Warrior Life Podcast. Her PCOS diagnosis seven years ago and her journey into motherhood two years ago catalyzed her first steps into what would become a multifaceted business.
Her PCOS "doc"nosis as she lovingly calls it, forced her to create and design a whole new lifestyle for herself built on a foundation of being passionate, positive, fierce, kind, and relentless about wanting change for oneself on a holistic level. Through her wellness journey, she noticed the sheer lack of awareness around women’s hormonal health and realized her purpose and passion was to spread PCOS awareness by mentoring and empowering women through 1:1 mentorship and mastermind programs to live a holistic lifestyle through mindset and lifestyle changes.
She has been featured on multiple podcasts, on Radio Mango Toronto, published in Synergy Magazine, and is a featured artist in the 2019 R.A.W Natural Born Artists - Toronto "Reflect" Showcase. Thu, 24 Jan 2019 - 1h 05min - 22 - Episode 22: Engaging with the Hard
So much of my client work has nothing to do with business.
Creating a strategy is the easy work.
What becomes challenging is the actual expansion. People don’t realize that becoming the person who can create successful programs and lasting success requires you to look in every crevice and corner of your life. From your relationship with yourself, your spouse, your friends, your family, your business partners, your past, your vision and pretty much everything in between.
It’s not easy work. Behind the tiny squares on Instagram, it’s not always pretty work. And some days, like the day this photo was captured, there are lots of tears (https://www.instagram.com/p/BsrW3TUhOOu/). But take it from me, this work is so incredibly worth it.
Facing your fears, facing the gaps in your belief, facing your past can inform your future and you can create from it an empowered and inspiring space. This work is so necessary.
So to all of you who came into 2019 HOT and are now feeling the energetic whiplash, I see you, I’m with you, and more importantly, I want you to keep pushing through. Take it from me, what’s on the other side is MAGIC.
Highlights for this episode:

Tue, 18 Dec 2018 - 56min - 15 - Episode 15: Masterminding into 2019
Is money everything? Nope. But if you aren’t making money in your business then you don’t have a business, you have a hobby.
If that statement just hit you in the gut and made you ask yourself some serious questions, then what I’m creating for 2019 might just be your game changer to help you go from hobby-lady to boss-babe faster than you can say B A N A N A.
Sister, it’s time to cut the cords of the anchors that are holding you down and holding you back from spreading your wings.
This experience won’t be right for everyone, but if you are ready to fly, I invite you to schedule a breakthrough call today to see if it is right for you.
A breakthrough call with me might be for you if:
* you are done spinning your wheels doing ALL THE THINGS and want to know the fastest and most soul-fueled way to your dreams.
* you are craving community with like-minded women who are on a similar path.
* you want your business to be equal parts strategy and equal parts soul.
* you are done trying to “fit the mold.”

Tue, 04 Dec 2018 - 51min - 11 - Episode 11: The first step in healing your relationships
Last week we talked about changing our expectations on what we can accomplish during the holiday season. Making small changes to our schedule and to our ideas of what success looks like not only creates more spaciousness in our lives and business but allows our days to be filled with more joy.
What if we apply that same concept to our relationships? What if we let go of how we think people should show up and just appreciated them for who they are, what they do, and the role they play in our lives? How much lighter does that make you feel simply thinking about it? And what do you think happens when we expect NOTHING? We get SO much more than what we even wanted.

Tue, 27 Nov 2018 - 1h 00min - 9 - Episode 9: How to Prepare Your Heart for the Holidays
The transition to the holiday season seems to come on fast and furious. We go from finally settling into our routines with the kids and school and business to a swift time change followed by holiday breaks and being inundated with excitement and chaos. Even for someone who doesn’t manage multiple schedules, clients and businesses this time of year can be extremely stressful, but layer on all the chaos that we as working mama’s have and it’s EXTRA.
So, dear friends, how do we manage it? My suggestion - lower our expectations of being able to get it all done.
1. Prioritize the 1-3 things that you need get done in the week.
2. Adjust your schedule.
3. Adjust what your idea of success looks like this week.
4. Turn your expectation into appreciation.
Follow these simple steps to a more spacious and joyful holiday season!

This is the first episode of my new podcast, Work Hard / Mom Hard. In the inaugural episode, I share my experience growing up as a minister's daughter, why I started working at 13, how I hustled in my corporate career until finally realizing what I thought I always wanted wasn’t what I actually wanted.
After a life-changing decision to ditch my corporate career I found myself raising 3 babies while trying to get 2 businesses off the ground. I was hanging on by a thread and after having some deep and insightful conversations with successful Moms who had already “made it” not only was I given the insight and energy I needed to keep going, but I was also given the idea to launch this podcast and start having that same conversation with all of you.
We will use this space to dive deep on giving you tips, tools inspiration and motivation to help you get out of your head and into action, so you can bring your vision to life!
