The many languages that exist coupled with the presence of colonial masters in Nigeria caused the need for a unifying language.
The beauty of this was that people from different states and ethnic groups could communicate effectively. The downside to it has, however, over time come to light as most people now term the speaking of our native languages as vernacular.
The question, therefore, is "Are you proud of your native language?

Any mother would worry about her child not eating well. An African mother takes it a step further from worrying about it to doing something about it - Force feeds the child.
This method though effective comes with some dangers.
On this episode, we'd be considering the pros and cons of force-feeding.

The concept of naming in Nigeria is vital because, for most people, it does more than just differentiate one person from another. It is believed to also tell a story about a person, the family they come from and sometimes even their destiny in life.
For some others, a name is just a name.
On this episode, my guest and I would be looking at the concept of naming and why/why not people often give their children (or themselves) names that are not native to them.

The job title "Social Media Influencer" is one I'm sure none of us saw coming. But it is here, and it is a thing.
And so, while some people see the concept of being an influence on others, this episode opens us up to the reality of the fact that you don't need the title to be an influence.
You. Just. Are. In your little way, in your activity or inactivity, you are influencing someone to either do, or not do something, in a certain way.

The world is facing a pandemic right now that has put a lot of sectors in a lot of countries on hold. One of such is the educational system in Nigeria. Due to the pandemic, most countries have switched to an online learning system to keep education going but this hasn't been the case in Nigeria. Our schools are shut down and only a handful are running using the online system.
Join me as my guest and I talk about the effect of the lack of an online learning system on the Educational sector in Nigeria.

Over the past weeks, there have been protests in the US over the death(s) of black people.
And even here in Nigeria, we had people storm the streets of Lagos with placards and even threats to the US president to do something about the situation ASAP.
The actions of these people who led a protest in Lagos over an incident which took place in the US has been met with a lot of criticism. Mostly from people who felt that most of the protestants were guilty of pretty much the same thing, only in their case, it was Tribalism.
My guest and I talked about how similar or dissimilar Tribalism is from Racism.

Due to COVID-19, the world was introduced to an all-new way of life that kept us indoors.
Activities that we thought could only be done by physical meetings suddenly became possible because people had no order options.
Simply put, life continued.
