Film vs Film Podcast
This is a film podcast where we pick our favourite film topic, like a director, actor or genre, any subject related to film. Martin the host and Boaz or sometimes a guest, each pick a film to discuss from that topic. We discuss them in three different aspects of each film, Directing, screenplay and acting. Then we rank each aspect out of ten. Plus we pick our favourite shot or scenes, lines and performances. At the end we tally the points and see who wins.

  • 176 - Dune Part Two Spoiler Special, with the Movie Bonerz

It's Spoiler Special time again and we couldn't not do an episode on DUUUUNNNE. Hm hm, sorry Dune Part Two. Yes you might be able to tell I'm quite excited about this movie and what a movie, This is definitely one of my most anticipated movies of the year and frankly ever since the news broke that Denis Villeneuve was attached to direct the first film way back when. Of course I can't talk alone and I'm joined by the brilliant Movie Bonerz podcast, Jake and Dustin. On this one we talk about all the characters, and man this is a stacked cast! We talk about how this stays pretty character driven and doesn’t fully rely on big spectacle for the sake of it, naming no Major Cinematic Universes. We talk about the complex messiah themes running right through this story. Plus we talk about worm piss. IMDB page

Andrews pick from The Revisionist's Almanac ultimately went with arguable Denis Villeneuve's best science fiction film and arguably the best science fiction film of last decade, Arrival. On this one we talk about how this film is Denis Villeneuve's least inspiring film visually but we explain why thats the point. We talk about how intricate and frankly incredible the screen play is with it's big questions it asks at the end.
