One morning, they decided to go out on a fun hike, one from which they never returned.

In a small apartment complex in Finland, one morning, a man was going down to the cellar of the building when he found the body of Susanne Lindholm, and no record of how she got there.

In Australia, 2014, William was dressed in a spider-man costume while playing hide-and-seek with his older sister. His foster mom went inside for five minutes to make tea, and when she returned, he had disappeared.

In Beijing, 2005, the high-class hostess of the most elite nightclub was found in her home, beaten and strangled to death. Whispers about the powerful politicians connected to Liang Hailing began making their way to the police, where it seems someone paid a lot of money to throw the investigation off course.

In Germany, 1922, there was a farm, with six people living on it. An elderly couple, their daughter, her two children, and the new family maid who was staying her first night. When the family didn’t show up for church, and one of the children didn’t show up for school, neighbours began to worry, and searched the home. All six household members were found bludgeoned to death.

In South Africa, January of 1995, bodies began dropping at a rapid rate. Women were being found in and around three different towns. When the crimes began escalating into a pattern, the media pressured the police into considering the homicides to be a single perpetrator, and the chase with the serial killer began.

In New Zealand, On January 24, 2010, Leo was in a fragile state of mind as he left his flat to go for a drive. When he didn’t return home the next day, his flatmates began to worry, and called his parents. They couldn’t get ahold of him either. This was the beginning of a seven-year-long mystery.

In Switzerland, January 28, 2011, Matthias Schepp picked up his twin daughters, Alessia and Livia. He was to return them to their mother, Irina, two days later, at 5:00pm. When Matthias didn’t show up for the drop off, Irina went to his house to look for them, only to find a handwritten will from Matthias, and no girls. Join us this week in the terrible search across France and Italy for the missing twins.

In this special International Transgender Day of Visibility episode, we dive into the grossly unreported case of a woman. During 2003 in America, Nireah Johnson and her friend, Brandie Coleman, pulled into a gas station to talk to some male friends. Nireah and one of the men exchanged numbers, and they began talking. Nireah and Brandie go to meet up with these men about a month later, and that same night, their bodies are discovered on fire in the back of a car.

During the 1950s in the Netherlands, Sybille Niemans lived a double life. By day, she volunteered all of her time to charity and rented out properties to make some money, but by night, Blonde Dolly worked as a prostitute for high-class businessmen and politicians. When she’s found dead in her home in 1959, the rumours begin to circulate that one of her clients had killed her after she discovered some crucial information she wasn’t supposed to know.

In Colombia, Luis, his date, and their mutual friend all went to a costume party on October 30, 2010. The night went well, with the three dancing and having fun. As they left the party and went to get hotdogs, something went very wrong, and Luis never got to return home. The death was ruled as a suicide. But when the body was recovered and a second autopsy was done, questions were raised about this ruling.

In this special episode in honour of women’s day being yesterday, we talk about the murder of an award winning biologist - Suzanne Eaton. While she’s attending a conference in Greece to share her research with her peers, she doesn’t show up for her presentation, and she’s not in her hotel room. A huge search is conducted, and six days after she disappeared, her brutalized body was found.

Ever hear of the hit show “Dexter”? What if we told you there was a real-life version of him? Today, we’re delving into the case of Pedro Rodrigues, a man who only kills criminals. We follow his journey through Brazil as he seeks revenge for the dead, doing just about anything to help them.

In the small province of Newfoundland, Canada, a young mother goes missing after getting in her abusive ex-boyfriends car, breaking the peace bond she had against him. Cortney Lake has not been found since.

In 1997, Spain, Eva Blanco asked for her curfew to be extended so she could go out to a disco party. At 11:45pm, her and her friend split up to walk home, and she was only 700m away. When she didn’t make it home by 12:00am, her father and a couple of friends go out and search for her. The next morning, her body is found, and the 18-year-long search for a killer begins.

Back in 1892, Argentina, fingerprinting evidence was not yet being used to convict criminals, and it was still being newly researched. This begins to change when a fingerprint is found at the scene of the murder of two children and the attempted murder of their mother. In this twisted case, the first criminal in the world is convicted using fingerprint evidence.

In Denmark, Emilie Meng was having a regular night out with her friends. She posted on Instagram before heading back to her city with her group of friends. When she chooses to walk instead of taking the taxi with her friends, she never makes it home.

From 1998 to 2000, five young girls were found after being brutally murdered in Belize. Sherilee Nicholas. Jay Blades. Jackie Fern Malic. Erica Wills. Noemi Hernandez. To this day, these five girls have not found justice, and this 23-year-old case has gone stone cold.
