    It was my pleasure to interview Dr. Duc Phan. We recorded this episode a couple of months ago and since then, Duc has successfully defended this thesis in Dr. Chris Hughes Lab here at UC Irvine. In this episode, we talk about his upbringing in Vietnam, transitioning from community college to UC Irvine, what vascular biology entails, the "on a chip" technology and his future plans. Huge thanks to Duc for being willing and making the time to sit down for the interview.

    In the first episode of the Life in Science Podcast, I interview Amber Habowski, a 4th year graduate student at UC-Irvine working on her Ph.D in the lab of Dr. Mariam Waterman. She studying RNA processing (how cells incorrectly edit their instructions) in colon cancer. She is heavily involved in activities outside of the lab.
