The life and films of the German-French actress Romy Schneider (1938-1982) were full of romance and drama. She became known for the Austrian Sissi film trilogy from the 1950s. But her career after that was further broadened and deepened, especially in France. Between 1970 and 1980 she starred in 25 mainly French films. In this podcast music from the soundtracks of 7 of them, by composers such as Philippe Sarde, Ennio Morricone, Georges Delerue. [Nederlandse versie op Nacht van de Filmmuziek]

  • 2 - The US-Arab trilogy of Alexandre Desplat.

Between 2005 and 2012 french composer Alexandre Desplat created and conducted the scores of 3 films that are dealing with the tense relationship of the United States of America and the Arab region: Syriana in 2005, Argo in 2012 and Zero Dark Thirty in 2012. There's something special about the scores I discovered in 2014 when I asked Alexandre Desplat about it in a Q&A in London. This podcast is the english version of 'Nacht van de Filmmuziek'.
