Detroit Lions 2024 Draft Results In this episode of the Detroit Lions Podcast, Chris and Jeff are back to react to the Detroit Lions 2024 NFL Draft! The city of Detroit hosted the 2024 NFL Draft this past weekend (to record breaking attendance we might add), and made everyone proud. Despite the silly Detroit sign that received its share of mockery, the city shone brightly as the host of one the the biggest NFL events of the year, and the largest draft attendance in history. It was an amazing event for NFL fans everywhere, and people from around the country got to see what a city on the rise, and full of hope, looks like. The Detroit Lions Players have proven that they know how to play as a team, for each other, how to support and communicate and how to win when the odds are stacked against them. Most of all, they've proven that they have grit. Some think that term is a bit played out, but as Peter Drucker said, "Culture eats strategy for breakfast." The Detroit Lions are like no other team that has been to the brink and lost. I can't think of another team that I was so sure would do it again, but next time take it all the way. There's a lot of discussion about the tragic officiating that the Detroit Lions and Dallas Cowboys experienced in their match-up in Dallas. Brad Allen and crew were terrible throughout the game, missing, and miscalling, multiple penalties. The most egregious was the confusion on Allen's part regarding who was eligible to receive the pass, his announcing the wrong player as eligible, not throwing the flag in any sort of timely manner, and then penalizing the Lions for his mistake. We'll bring Dean Blandino onto the show to discuss all of the issues surrounding this, and try to get to the bottom of where the issue lies.
