In this heartwarming episode, I crossed paths with Doug at a freeway exit where he held a sign, hoping to make it back to Champaign, Illinois. As I got to know Doug and his wife Melanie over a few weeks, I decided to lend a helping hand by transporting them in my truck and trailer.
