Sun, 25 Sep 2022 - 66 - S4 Ep 12 | Abortions: Pro Life vs Pro Choice
Roe v. Wade, legal case in which the U.S. Supreme Court on January 22, 1973, ruled (7–2) that unduly restrictive state regulation of abortion is unconstitutional. Roe v. Wade was overturned by the Supreme Court in 2022. The Supreme Court disagreed with Roe’s assertion of an absolute right to terminate pregnancy in any way and at any time and attempted to balance a woman’s right of privacy with a state’s interest in regulating abortion. Abortion in the United Kingdom is legally available through the Abortion Act 1967 in Great Britain, and the Abortion (Northern Ireland) (No. 2) Regulations 2020. Britain’s leading abortion care provider is anticipating “assaults on abortion law in Parliament” following the fall of landmark Roe vs Wade ruling in the US.
In this episode we discuss the two chief positions on the morality of abortion: “pro-life” position vs“pro-choice” . The basic pro-life position holds that induced abortions are morally impermissible (morally wrong, morally prohibited). The basic pro-choice position holds that induced abortions are morally permissible (morally allowable, not morally wrong).Tell us your thoughts on instagram @boldbrownandbritishorVisit our Linktree

I sit down with the girls to discuss what being mindful means to each of us, our qualms about people throwing around phrases like 'raise your vibration' and the life coaches we follow (like the Matthew Hussey's and the Tony Robbins).
In our 'Off the Record' series we record real life (often in person) conversations off the record. These conversations are often recorded not with a podcast in mind, but as free flowing conversations between friends, family and colleagues, and thus will often involve a lot of talking over each other, background sounds and strong individual opinions.

Sat, 23 Jan 2021 - 19 - S2 Ep 3 | Does prejudice exist in the Workplace?
It’s easy to assume that other people experience the world the way we do. More specifically, it’s very easy for Caucasian managers to assume that their colleagues of colour face the same basic set of challenges they do. On one level that’s true: The work itself is the same. Brown managers have to make their numbers, motivate employees, hire and fire, and plan for the future. But on another level, these managers frequently contend with an atmosphere of tension, instability, and distrust that can be so frustrating they lose the desire to contribute fully or do their best work; they may even drop out altogether. I'm joined by Miriam and Nasser to discuss:
what extent does prejudice affect the modern day workplace pub cultureWhy we hate the phrase BAME Why diversity is not the same as inclusion What is and can be done to have a more inclusive workplaceTell us your thoughts on instagram @boldbrownandbritishorVisit our Linktree
