Mark Few and the Gonzaga Bulldogs secured a 17 point victory over the LMU Lions on Thursday, despite a sloppy first half and a herculean effort from Will Johnston. The Gonzaga Bulldogs did NOT fall victim to a classic trap game against the Portland Pilots, instead jumping out to a 16-1 lead and never looking back in a dominant performance for Mark Few's program. Braden Huff had 25 off the bench, Anton Watson added 20, and the Zags knocked down 15 three pointers, including nine in the first half, to secure a big win. Huff's confidence boosting performance is key for the Zags, but his defensive limitations still make him a tricky play on Saturday against Kentucky. This is more concerning with Graham Ike's foul trouble, as he only had seven points in this one and was forced to sit most of the second half. The play of Luka Krajnovic was another positive, however, as he has added to Gonzaga's depth in a big way the last few weeks. Mark Few, RJay Barsh, and the Gonzaga Bulldogs coaching staff are heavily pursuing multiple extremely talented high school stars in the 2025 recruiting class, in particular going after 6'5+ guards to give them added size on the perimeter. Isiah Harwell is the top target, and he has re-scheduled his official visit to Spokane after suffering an ACL injury. The Zags are also pursuing a top-ranked wing from Ontario, a 6'11 center from New Zealand, and a guard from Israel in the 2024 class - more proof they are still a major player in the international recruiting market. Gonzaga also has their eye on a local kid, Davis Fogle, a 6'5 guard from Anacortes who has shown interest in Gonzaga and is getting Power-6 interest from Nebraska, Indiana, Clemson, and others while rocketing up the rankings. Nolan Hickman exploded for the Gonzaga Bulldogs on Tuesday, dropping a career-high 24 points in a blowout win over the LMU Lions and Dominick Harris, who struggled in his return to The Kennel. The Gonzaga Bulldogs have looked outstanding the past two games, and much of the attention has gone to Anton Watson, Graham Ike, Ben Gregg, and Braden Huff for their performances against Pepperdine and San Diego. Staton has been rising up recruit rankings and is now No. 39 at On3. He reportedly considers the Zags among the eight schools most involved in his recruitment, a list that also includes Kansas, Arizona, and UNLV. Anton Watson was heroic but he didn't get enough help, and now the Zags are going to be outside the AP Top 25 and almost certainly need to win the WCC Tournament if they want to keep their NCAA Tournament streak alive. Mark Few and the Gonzaga Bulldogs fell to 8-4 on the season with a loss to San Diego State in Spokane on Friday evening, just their 17th time ever losing at The Kennel. With an 0-4 record in Quad 1 games, and very few opportunities left, could the Zags be in danger of needing to win the WCC Tournament to even make the NCAA Field of 68? The WCC is set to add Oregon State and Washington State in 2024-25, and we discuss whether the ESPN deal impacted the decision for the Beavers and Cougars, how this move might reshape the perception of the West Coast Conference, and what potential changes to the WCC Tournament and conference schedule might mean for the Gonzaga Bulldogs. Mark Few and the Gonzaga Bulldogs improved to 9-3 on the year and 6-0 at home with a 100-76 victory over the Jackson State Tigers at The Kennel in Spokane on Wednesday evening. Anton Watson moved into second place in steals behind John Stockton in school history, while Graham Ike dropped 22 points and 11 rebounds and Braden Huff had another outstanding game off the bench. The West Coast Conference is reportedly set to vote to add both the Oregon State Beavers and Washington State Cougars as affiliate members for the 2024-25 and 2025-26 seasons in all sports except football and baseball. OSU and WSU need a home after the Pac-12 became the Pac-2, and now the WCC will get two recognizable brands to bring them up to 11 schools. What does this mean for Mark Few and the Gonzaga Bulldogs? Mark Few and the Gonzaga Bulldogs chugged their way to a 78-40 victory over Mississippi Valley State at The Kennel on Monday, a somewhat listless performance due to fatigue from Saturday night's loss to Washington, and the slow place played by the Delta Devils. Braden Huff was the star once again, dropping 17 points with four rebounds and three blocks, while Graham Ike had 13 on 5-6 shooting. Jun Seok Yeo showcased a little of what makes him such a tantalizing prospect for the Zags, nailing a pair of threes and blocking two shots, but also struggling to score otherwise as he continues to experience growing pains. Luka Krajnovic and Pavle Stosic got run in this game as well, although both are still adjusting to Gonzaga's style. Finally, we close out the show discussing the AP Top 25 poll, which only dropped the Bulldogs from seven to No. 10 - setting up a top ten battle between the Zags and UConn on Friday evening.
