Although Midnight is a bit reserved when you first meet him, you'll soon see that he is a gentle soul with a kind heart. Midnight enjoys those quiet moments-- soft whispers of affection, the touch of a caring hand. Midnight will quietly and deeply love the family members who choose to share their home with him. Midnight's foster home includes dogs and other cats, so he is accustomed to sharing a home with other well-socialized pets. Meet Kyan...he is just a big softie! This sweet boy came to us as a stray. Kyan loves to go for walks, and does pretty well on a leash! He has just enough energy to get some playtime in, but not so much that he is overwhelming with his size. Kyan doesn't mind other dogs, and he enjoys snuggles with his favorite people. He weighs around 75 pounds, is neutered, vaccinated, heartworm negative, and microchipped. We estimate him to be 1-2 years old. Our Friday Furry Friend is Sasha. Sasha is a really special girl, who needs a special owner. She is loved by staff and volunteers, but needs an experienced dog owner ready to work with this high drive girl. Sasha has a lot of energy that needs to be directed towards a job, and we can tell you that she would eagerly do any job! Sasha is very obedient, and learns new commands very quickly, and is very food motivated and eager to please. She needs a lot of exercise, and we know she loves playing with the herding ball that we have in our play yard. We are not sure of Sasha's breed, but due to her beautiful black and tan fur we are thinking Doberman, Rottweiler of Beauceron mix. We'd love to see a DNA test! Sasha is 2 years old, 78 lbs, with a docked tail and natural ears. Sasha would do best as the only dog, or with someone very experienced with managing more than one. Sasha is spayed, up-to-date on vaccines, microchipped, and will be at the BOSS Services adoption event. Friends of Berrien County Animal Control will also donate 2 private training sessions with K9 Teamwork to support Sasha's adoption.

Meet Grant, a stunning one-year-old pure breed Doberman Pinscher! This very handsome boy is good with other dogs, plus he is crate trained and house-trained. Grant is a sweet and affectionate pup who loves to cuddle-up with his human companions. He also enjoys going for walks and playing in the yard, but knows how to unwind after a long day. Your Furry Friend this week is Bailey from Berrien County Animal Control. Bailey came to us as a skinny and pregnant young dog. She was a great mama and all of her puppies have been adopted, so now it's all about Bailey! Bailey has a gray coat and is sleek and well muscled, weighing in at around 60 pounds. We think she is house-trained! Bailey gets along with most other dogs, loves to run with friends in the play yard, and is very treat motivated. Through the end of March, all of our adult dogs-- including Bailey --are just $17.00 to adopt! Spayed/Neutered, micro-chipped heartworm tested (Bailey is negative!), and up-to-date on vaccines. Muffin is a 2-year old female mini Pit Bull Terrier mix. Muffin only weighs 35 pounds and she is absolutely adorable! She came to us as a stray and warmed up to people instantly, showing us what a sweetheart she is. Muffin loves to play ball and will take as many treats as you will give her. We're unsure of how Muffin will be with other dogs, but she doesn't seem to mind the dogs here at the shelter. Muffin is the kind of girl who will be happy to go everywhere with you, but also enjoy hanging out on the couch. Valentine’s Day has just passed but there are still a lot of people out there looking for love! If you’re still looking for the perfect companion, we have just the dog for you! Katie is a 46lb, 3–5 year old Pit Bull Terrier mix who is the biggest lover in the world! She’s got a funny little foot, but doesn’t let that slow her down one bit. The only thing this volunteer favorite wants to do is lie with her head in your lap and be right by your side! Katie makes a terrific road trip buddy, but also is happy to hang out in her bed while you do laundry or the dishes. She's 100% housebroken; she keeps her kennel spotless!
