- 6320 - Birds of a Hypocritical Feather Flock Together - Full Show
3 - Catch and Kill! It is not illegal to have an extramarital affair, so why is that on trial in the Trump case? It is not election interference to hide things from the electorate. Would people really have changed their vote knowing the guy who has been married three different times had an affair or two? If so, why has he not lost the evangelical Christian crowd?
330 - A correction. Joe Biden received “4 Pinocchio’s” from the WaPo for his repeated lie that he was arrested protesting for civil rights back in the day on Woke Howard Stern’s Show. Isn’t this the guy who palled around with “The Seggies” talking to the guy that would do blackface skits? Birds of a hypocritical feather flock together.
350 - Rich is mad about the whole premise of the trial, including the taxpayer money going to the daily protection of Donald Trump as he has to keep appearing in court. Let’s get a poll going on who would’ve changed their vote based on these allegations.
4 - Continuing on Trump’s Trial as we are prosecuting him for election interference that he has not won once in two separate elections. Where is the evidence that the outcome would have changed?
420 - Matt is off today, but that doesn't mean he wasn’t complaining.
430 - Philadelphia’s own Dr. Victoria Coates, Former Deputy National Security Advisor & the Vice President of the Davis Institute for National Security and Foreign Policy at The Heritage Foundation, joins us to discuss the political protests of the conflict in Israel. Dr. Coates discusses the security detail she had to have to even speak at UPenn on ideas that shouldn’t be very controversial. How are things in the Middle East? How serious is the accusation that Israel is committing genocide against Gazans?
4:55 - Did Fauci get his 6 foot distancing rule from the movie Contagion?
5 - Drive @ 5 - Another Friday, another chat with Dr. Wilfred Reilly, Professor of Political Science at Kentucky State University & Author of “Lies My Liberal Teacher Told Me.” Is mood contagious? How do we feel about canned laugh tracks vs. letting the audience decide what is funny? A Baltimore High School Athletic Director used AI to frame his school’s principal for racism in order to get him fired. As the author of Hate Crime Hoax, how does Dr. Reilly feel about this story? He argues this is the first AI hate crime hoax, and many more may be on the horizon. The conversation shifts to other AI hazards, such as revenge deepfake porn and staged conversations. Are schools out in Kentucky participating in these protests like the coastal elite schools? Rich and Dr. Reilly wrap up with discussion of Trump’s case in New York.
540 - Rich discusses his differences with other legal scholars over the handling of the Trump case. We listened to Trump’s comments after court today. Rich continues to detail just how weak the case against Trump is.
6 - Zeoli Show In-house Economist Dr. EJ Antoni joins us once again to discuss the new economic numbers. Yes people are earning more now, but the rising costs of things has rendered these wages useless. But we thought inflation was transitory? Yeah, transitioning higher and higher. The two also discuss the non-compete contracts being voided, for now. What happens if we finally abolish The Fed?
620 - Anytime, anywhere. Biden says he’ll debate Trump on Woke Howard Stern’s Show. Will he though? He also spouted more lies, like being arrested during civil rights protests, being the runner -up in “state scoring” in football, and receiving salacious pictures from women during his time as Senator in the 1970’s. A special montage of Biden’s comments on race.
650 - A replay of Rich’s exclusive interview with President Trump.

4:10pm- Eric Boehm of Reason writes: “Tech companies and First Amendment groups are calling attention to a provision in a domestic spying bill that they say would significantly expand the federal government's power to snoop on Americans' digital communications—potentially by forcing employees of private businesses to become informants. The Information Technology Industry Council (ITI), a global trade group that represents major tech companies including Google and Microsoft, is calling for last-minute changes to the Reforming Intelligence and Securing America Act (RISAA), which could get a final vote in the Senate on Friday. The bill's primary purpose is to extend Section 702 of the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act (FISA), which allows U.S. intelligence agencies to scoop up communications between Americans and individuals abroad. But the bill also includes a provision that ‘vastly expands the U.S. government's warrantless surveillance capabilities, damaging the competitiveness of U.S. technology companies large and small, and arguably imperiling the continued global free flow of data between the U.S. and its allies,’ the ITI said in a statement this week.” You can read the full report here: https://reason.com/2024/04/19/how-the-fisa-reauthorization-bill-could-force-maintenance-workers-and-custodians-to-become-government-spies/

3:05pm- On Friday, a man set himself on fire in Collect Pond Park right outside of the Manhattan Criminal Courthouse where Donald Trump’s “hush money” trial was unfolding. Wed, 17 Apr 2024 - 6279 - Will Speaker Johnson Work with Dems to Pass Ukraine Aid?
The Rich Zeoli Show- Hour 1:
3:05pm- On Tuesday, Congressman Thomas Massie (R-KY) requested that Speaker of the House Mike Johnson (R-LA) resign—after Speaker Johnson announced he plans to hold a vote on Ukraine aid funding later this week. Massie joins Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) as Republican members of Congress now vocally opposed to Johnson remaining in power. Working with a slim Republican majority in the House (218-213 with 4 vacancies), is Johnson now in serious jeopardy of being removed as Speaker? On Wednesday, Sen. Rand Paul (R-KY) said “Republicans need real leadership” and seemed to suggest Johnson should be replaced in favor of someone who is more fiscally responsible.
3:20pm- Annie Karni of The New York Times writes: “Speaker Mike Johnson’s elaborate plan for pushing aid to Ukraine through the House over his own party’s objections relies on an unusual strategy: He is counting on House Democrats and their leader, Representative Hakeem Jeffries of New York, to provide the votes necessary to clear the way for it to come to the floor.” You can read the full article here: https://www.nytimes.com/2024/04/17/us/politics/johnson-democrats-ukraine-aid-plan.html
3:30pm- The Wall Street Journal writes: “Seven jurors for Donald Trump’s hush-money case were selected quickly Tuesday afternoon after a sluggish start, a pace that could clear the way for trial testimony to begin next week. Three women and four men have been chosen so far for a jury that will be the first ever to decide criminal charges against a former president. The jurors, all Manhattan residents, include a charter-school teacher, a software engineer, a salesman, a corporate lawyer and an oncology nurse.” You can read the full report from Corinne Ramey, James Fanelli, and Alex Leary here: https://www.wsj.com/us-news/law/jury-for-donald-trumps-hush-money-trial-takes-shape-an-oncology-nurse-a-software-engineer-a-teacher-5a65e772?mod=hp_lead_pos4
3:40pm- While speaking with Wolf Blitzer on CNN, former federal prosecutor Ankush Khardori expressed concern about the anonymity and safety of the jurors serving on the Trump “hush money” trial. Khardori explained: “Now, this is not the fault of the media…Responsibility to guard all of the very specific information that we’re learning [about the jury] resides with the D.A.’s office and with the judge. I’m a little surprised that we are learning all of this because I do not think this jury is going to remain anonymous, necessarily, if they keep this up.”

Through a seemingly innocuous change to the definition of ‘electronic service communications provider,’ the bill vastly expands the universe of U.S. businesses that can be conscripted to aid the government in conducting surveillance. Under current law, the government can compel companies that have direct access to communications, such as phone, email, and text messaging service providers, to assist in Section 702 surveillance by turning over the communications of Section 702 targets. Under Section 504 of the House intelligence committee’s bill, any entity that has access to *equipment* on which communications may be transmitted or stored, such as an ordinary router, is fair game. What does that mean in practice? It’s simple…Hotels, libraries, coffee shops, and other places that offer wifi to their customers could be forced to serve as surrogate spies. They could be required to configure their systems to ensure that they can provide the government access to entire streams of communications.” You can read her full statement on X: https://twitter.com/LizaGoitein/status/1734249938333167889

3:05pm- The Washington Post reports: “The FBI has opened a criminal investigation focusing on the massive container ship that brought down the Francis Scott Key Bridge in Baltimore last month—a probe that will look at least in part at whether the crew left the port knowing the vessel had serious system problems.” You can read the full report from Katie Mettler, Devlin Barrett, Danny Nguyen, and Peter Hermann here: https://www.washingtonpost.com/dc-md-va/2024/04/15/balitmore-key-bridge-criminal-investigation/
3:15pm- On Saturday, Iran launched an estimated 170 drones and 150 missiles at Israel. Thankfully, most of the attack was blunted by Israel’s missile defense system resulting in only minimal damage inside of Israel.
3:20pm- Reacting to Iran’s attack on Israel, White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre said it was necessary for Congress to pass a foreign aid bill that not only sends money to Israel but also tens-of-billions of dollars to Ukraine.
3:30pm- According to a concerning report from Reuters, “Iran informed Turkey in advance of its planned operation against Israel, a Turkish diplomatic source told Reuters on Sunday, adding that Washington had conveyed to Tehran via Ankara that any action it took had to be ‘within certain limits.’… The Turkish source, speaking on condition of anonymity, said Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan had spoken to both his US and Iranian counterparts in the past week to discuss the planned Iranian operation… ‘Iran informed us in advance of what would happen. Possible developments also came up during the meeting with Blinken, and they (the US) conveyed to Iran through us that this reaction must be within certain limits,’ the source said.” Did the Biden Administration negotiate the severity of the attack against Israel? You can read the full report here: https://www.reuters.com/world/middle-east/iran-informed-turkey-advance-its-operation-against-israel-turkish-source-2024-04-14/
3:40pm- In response to Iran’s attack on Israel, Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump told supporters at a rally in Schnecksville, PA that “the weakness that we've shown is unbelievable and it would not have happened if we were in office. You know that. They know that. Everybody knows that. America prays for Israel, and we send our absolute support.”
3:55pm- Organized protests in major cities across the globe—including New York City and Chicago domestically—are taking place in hopes of stifling the global economy as part of a bizarre form of support for Palestinians. The demonstrations are purposefully clogging busy streets and bridges.
Mon, 15 Apr 2024 - 6268 - House Passes FISA Reauthorization. Is Mike Johnson’s Speakership in Jeopardy?
The Rich Zeoli Show- Full Episode (04/12/2024):
3:05pm- Charlie Savage and Luke Broadwater report that on Friday, the House of Representatives “passed a two-year reauthorization of an expiring warrantless surveillance law that had stalled this week amid G.O.P. resistance—but only after narrowly rejecting a bipartisan effort to restrict searches of Americans’ messages swept up by the program. The bill would extend a provision of law known as Section 702 of the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act, or FISA, that is set to lapse next Friday…Grasping to salvage the measure before the law expires, Speaker Mike Johnson put forward a shorter extension than its originally envisioned five years, persuading hard-right Republicans who had blocked the bill to allow it to move forward. The final vote was 273 to 147, with both parties split. One hundred and twenty-six Republicans joined 147 Democrats in favor, while 88 Republicans and 59 Democrats were opposed. The legislation still must be cleared by the Senate and signed by President Biden. But the main obstacle has been in the House.” You can read the full article here: https://www.nytimes.com/2024/04/12/us/politics/surveillance-bill-fisa.html

However, there are now reports that the DNC contributed $1.5 million for lawyers and fees related to a federal investigation into Biden’s mishandling of classified documents. 4:30pm- Luke Broadwater and Charlie Savage of The New York Times write: “Right-wing House Republicans on Wednesday blocked legislation to extend an expiring warrantless surveillance law that national security officials call crucial to gathering intelligence and fighting terrorism, dealing Speaker Mike Johnson a stinging defeat after former President Donald J. Trump urged lawmakers to kill the bill. In an upset on the House floor, the measure, which would extend a section of the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act known as Section 702, failed what is normally a routine procedural test. On a vote of 228 to 193, 19 House Republicans, most aligned with the ultraconservative House Freedom Caucus, joined Democrats in opposing its consideration.” You can read the full article: https://www.nytimes.com/2024/04/10/us/politics/fisa-trump-johnson-house.html
4:50pm- Dustin Volz and Lindsay Wise of The Wall Street Journal note that “absent congressional action, [Section 702 of the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act] will expire in April. But [Speaker of the House Mike] Johnson might have an out, as some experts say the law could potentially continue for another year because of how and when the secretive court that oversees the program grants annual approval for the categories of intelligence collection it allows. Those annual certifications were recently granted by the FISA Court, according to Biden administration officials.” You can read more here: https://www.wsj.com/politics/policy/kill-fisa-trump-creates-new-headache-for-speaker-johnson-over-spy-powers-vote-96ead8a8?mod=hp_lead_pos3

You can learn more about Congressman Perry here: https://perry.house.gov
5:25pm- Rupa Subramanya of The Free Press writes: “Filmed above Baghdad, from a U.S. military Apache helicopter, the grainy black-and-white video opens with a voice instructing the pilot to ‘light ’em all up.’ Then, there’s open fire: a torrent of bullets flying into a small group of people on the ground. The pilots believed that two of them were carrying weapons over their shoulders. As it turned out, the pilots were mistaken: what they thought were guns were actually cameras, carried by a photojournalist and his assistant. Employees of Reuters, Saeed Chmagh and Namir Noor-Eldeen, were among the at least eight civilians killed by this attack in July 2007. That month, the news agency issued a Freedom of Information request for the footage taken from the helicopter, but it was ultimately blocked by the Pentagon. 3:05pm- In new editorial published by The Free Press, Uri Berliner—a Senior Editor and Reporter at National Public Radio—writes: “It’s true NPR has always had a liberal bent, but during most of my tenure here, an open-minded, curious culture prevailed. We were nerdy, but not knee-jerk, activist, or scolding. In recent years, however, that has changed. Today, those who listen to NPR or read its coverage online find something different: the distilled worldview of a very small segment of the U.S. population.” He also notes that as of 2023, “only 11 percent [of NPR listeners] described themselves as very or somewhat conservative. 21 percent as middle of the road, and 67 percent of listeners said they were very or somewhat liberal.” Consequently, NPR is “losing moderates and traditional liberals” in favor of far-left progressives. 5:05pm- Last month, while appearing on MSNBC’s Morning Joe, University of Maryland Professor Thomas Schaller discussed his book and claimed that white rural voters are “racist, xenophobic, anti-immigrant, anti-gay” and pose a “threat” to the country. In response to these claims, Nicholas F. Jacobs—a political scientist at Colby College—rebutted Schaller’s findings. Jacobs writes: “I’m an academic who studies rural Americans and lives in rural Maine. My job and passion is to pore over reams of data, including some of the largest surveys of rural voters ever conducted. Sitting on my computer are detailed responses from over 25,000 rural voters that I have conducted over the last decade and used to publish a range of peer-reviewed and widely cited research. And I’ve done it all largely to make sense of why rural voters are continually drawn to the Republican Party. But the thing about rage—I’ve never found it.” You can read the Jacobs’s full article here: https://www.politico.com/news/magazine/2024/04/05/white-rural-rage-myth-00150395

6:05pm- According to a report on NBC Nightly News, Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump now leads President Joe Biden among voters aged 18 to 29 by 18% (58% to 40%). Interestingly, Biden won the demographic outright in 2020. On Monday, the Biden Administration announced a new plan to forgive student loans for up to 30 million Americans. Could this be a strategic attempt to appeal to young voters?
6:15pm- In a new editorial for the Wall Street Journal, co-founder of Susquehanna International Group Jeff Yass writes: “Every child deserves access to a quality education. For several decades my wife and I have tried to make that ideal a reality by concentrating our philanthropy and political donations on advancing school choice. We want children to have a chance at success—and, if necessary, to be able to leave schools that aren’t allowing them to meet their full potential. Often solving public-policy challenges is complicated, but in this case it isn’t. School choice is the answer.” He concludes that President Joe Biden is the “worst” candidate for school choice. But what the bill will look like—and who will support it—remains unsettled…The Senate passed a $95 billion package for Ukraine, Israel and Taiwan in February with bipartisan support. 4:05pm- Michael D. Shear of The New York Times writes that on Monday, while speaking from Madison, Wisconsin, President Joe Biden “announced a large-scale effort to help pay off federal student loans for tens of millions of American borrowers, seeking an election-year boost by returning to a 2020 campaign promise that was blocked by the Supreme Court last year. Mr. Biden’s new plan would reduce the amount that 25 million borrowers still owe on their undergraduate and graduate loans. It would wipe away the entire amount for more than four million Americans. Altogether, White House officials said, 10 million borrowers would see debt relief of $5,000 or more.” You can read more here: https://www.nytimes.com/2024/04/08/us/politics/biden-student-loans-debt-relief.html
4:20pm- While appearing on CNN, Rep. Altogether, White House officials said, 10 million borrowers would see debt relief of $5,000 or more.” You can read more here: https://www.nytimes.com/2024/04/08/us/politics/biden-student-loans-debt-relief.html

Johnson has resisted calls from defense hawks of both parties to simply bring the Senate bill up for a vote in the House, saying his chamber will move forward with its own bill that would add ‘some important innovations’ not included in the Senate version.” You can read the full report here: https://www.wsj.com/politics/policy/mike-johnson-us-ukraine-aid-package-a3bac384?mod=hp_lead_pos2

Matt refuses to look at the sky because he doesn’t trust the quality of the glasses Henry acquired via Amazon.

3:50pm- According to reports, the Federal Bureau of Investigation visited the home of a Muslim woman in Oklahoma after she shared pro-Palestinian posts on Meta-owned social media platform Facebook. 4:30pm- Dr. Victoria Coates—Former Deputy National Security Advisor & the Vice President of the Davis Institute for National Security and Foreign Policy at The Heritage Foundation—joins The Rich Zeoli Show to discuss her recent editorial for Fox News, “The Way to Cuba’s Heart is Through the Internet.” She writes: “Cuba’s repressive Communist dictatorship relies on more than brute force to oppress its people. The Castros and their successors keep Cubans in line by controlling what information they can receive and transmit. That’s why, when demonstrations against shortages of food and other necessities began on March 17, the regime cut the state-provided internet to stop the protesters from coordinating online, and from sharing their videos worldwide…SpaceX’s Starlink has famously been providing reliable satellite-based internet access to Ukraine in a war zone for more than two years. Given the contracts SpaceX has with the U.S. Department of Defense, DoD can direct the company to provide the service to partners in distress such as Ukraine. Surely, America would also want to help the people of Cuba marching for their freedom. Which then begs the question: Why is this direction not coming from the Biden administration?” You can read the full editorial here: https://www.foxnews.com/opinion/way-cubas-heart-through-internet. Dr. Coates is the author of “David’s Sling: A History of Democracy in Ten Works of Art.” You can find her book here: https://www.amazon.com/Davids-Sling-History-Democracy-Works/dp/1594037213.
4:50pm- Richard Fausset and Danny Hakim of The New York Times write: “Lawyers for former President Donald J. Trump and eight of his co-defendants in the Georgia election interference case asked an appeals court on Friday to take up their challenge of a judge’s ruling that allowed the prosecutor Fani T. Willis to stay on the case. With their application to appeal, the defendants are once again pressing their argument that Ms. Willis, the Fulton County district attorney, created an untenable conflict of interest by having a romantic relationship with the special prosecutor she hired to manage the Trump case.” You can read the full article here: https://www.nytimes.com/2024/03/29/us/trump-appeal-georgia-fani-willis.html
5:00pm- Dr. Wilfred Reilly—Professor of Political Science at Kentucky State University & Author of “Lies My Liberal Teacher Told Me”—joins The Rich Zeoli Show to discuss an incredible story about Vanderbilt University students calling 911 over a tampon during a ridiculous protest inside an administrative building on campus. Officer Diller, 31-years-old, was fatally shot during a traffic stop earlier this week in Massapequa, NY. Speaking from outside the wake, Trump said “this is a horrible thing and it’s happening all too often”—noting that the man accused of killing Officer Diller had been previously arrested on numerous occasions, and yet was allowed to go free each time.
5:45pm- Earlier this month, the House of Representatives voted in favor of the Protecting Americans from Foreign Adversary Controlled Applications Act—a bill that would force TikTok’s parent company ByteDance to divest its ownership in the social media application, citing its ties to the Chinese government. If they did not divest, the application would be banned in the United States.

3:40pm- Earlier this week, Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump announced his newest venture: selling bibles! Of course, members of the media are melting down in response—including CNN’s Ashley Allison who suggested this violates separation of church and state.
4:05pm- On Thursday, former President Donald Trump attended the wake of fallen New York City Police Officer Jonathan Diller.

Francis Collins has acknowledged his error of singularly focusing on Covid without considering collateral damage to education and non-Covid health outcomes. That’s the honest thing to do, and I hope this honesty will reach Harvard. The public deserves it, and academia needs it to restore its credibility. Science cannot survive in a society that does not value truth and strive to discover it. The scientific community will gradually lose public support and slowly disintegrate in such a culture. The pursuit of truth requires academic freedom with open, passionate, and civilized scientific discourse, with zero tolerance for slander, bullying, or cancellation. My hope is that someday, Harvard will find its way back to academic freedom and independence.” You can read the full article here: https://www.city-journal.org/article/harvard-tramples-the-truth

5:45pm- In their recent Wall Street Journal editorial, Jonathan A. Lesser and Mark P. Mills write: “Widespread adoption of EVs will require an unprecedented and staggeringly expensive expansion of local electrical grids. This will require a huge increase in the production of electrical transformers, along with more power plants and transmission lines to produce and deliver energy. This overhaul must include upgrading local grid distribution at the roughly 3,000 electric utilities across the country—the wires, poles and transformers that line our streets. There are 60 million to 80 million distribution transformers in neighborhoods, designed for existing loads. Around one million new ones are sold annually, two-thirds of which replace aged-out transformers. That replacement rate isn’t close to meeting the EPA’s dreams. Millions more—and heavier—transformers will be needed to handle higher power levels and more frequent use, even if many EVs are charged overnight. This will also require replacing many of the existing utility poles to handle new transformers’ extra weight.” You can read the full editorial here: https://www.wsj.com/articles/can-we-power-the-epas-ev-fantasy-electrical-grid-energy-vehicles-a786d535?mod=opinion_lead_pos6

Shanahan explained: “There is only one moment in time and one candidate that I would step into this capacity for. That time is now. And that candidate is Robert F. Kennedy, Jr.”
3:10pm- Is Robert F. Kennedy Jr.’s vice presidential selection far-left? 6:20pm- According to a report from Katie Rodgers of The New York Times, “President Biden is making regular calls to former President Barack Obama to catch up on the race or to talk about family. But Mr. Obama is making calls of his own to Jeffrey D. Zients, the White House chief of staff, and to top aides at the Biden campaign to strategize and relay advice.
