- 6 - Sandra K. Johnson, PhD.
Sandra K. Johnson is the Founder, CEO & CTO, Global Mobile Finance, Inc., a fin-tech startup company based in Research Triangle Park, North Carolina. It is developing geeRemit, a relationship-driven global remittance mobile app based on blockchain technology and leveraging mobile money.
Dr. Johnson has over 35 years of experience in computing. Her previous roles include CTO, IBM Central, East and West Africa, Business Development Executive and Senior Technical Staff Member, among others.
Chelsey speaks to Sandra about what she's learned as a black female founder coming from the corporate world and the obstacles Sandra has faced starting Global Mobile Finance.

Chantal Emmanuel is a software engineer who builds tools and experiences using modern frameworks like Ruby on Rails and React. Her career continually brings her to the intersection of technology and design. Previously as an Engineer at Red Clay she created a community and project management platform that engaged industrial designers and brands to develop ready for manufacture designs. Most recently, she’s worked for one of the leading consulting firms, SYPartners. There she partnered with clients at a number of Fortune 100 companies, guiding them through their digital strategy.
Most recently, Chantal is the co-founder and CTO of LimeLoop which is re-imagining the packaging experience for the digital age. LimeLoop is a B2B software company that allows customers to rent reusable shippers, track their fleet and gain predictive analytics.
