In this episode, we’re joined by Ann Barnes, Access and Participation Analyst, Academic Services, and Dr Keith Parry, Head of Department in the Department of Sport and Event Management. More nurses are leaving the profession than are entering it, with around 40,000 reported vacancies in substantive nursing posts across England. A Bournemouth University project, in collaboration with Royal Bournemouth and Christchurch Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, explored the key reasons why nurses leave the profession and what interventions might encourage nurses to stay.
