  • 34 - Season 2, Episode 5: Jessica Wongso & Mirna Salihin: The Cyanide Coffee Case

In this episode of Murder Murder on the Wall, Stacey and Kelly dive into one of Indonesia’s most notorious true crime cases: the death of 27-year-old Mirna Salihin and the conviction of her former college friend, Jessica Wongso. In January 2016, Mirna met Jessica and another friend at Olivier Café inside Jakarta’s Grand Indonesia mall. She took a sip of Vietnamese iced coffee, said it tasted terrible, and was dead less than an hour later. Police said the coffee contained cyanide and accused Jessica of poisoning her—but almost immediately, questions emerged. There was no full autopsy, the chain of custody was messy, and CCTV never captured Jessica actually putting anything into Mirna’s drink. Jessica was convicted of murder and sentenced to 20 years in prison, but the case—later examined in the Netflix documentary Ice Cold: Murder, Coffee and Jessica Wongso—remains deeply controversial. So what actually happened to Mirna Salihin? And was Jessica Wongso guilty beyond a reasonable doubt? Before the cyanide coffee, Kelly brings us an amuse-bouche featuring Taylor Frankie Paul, MomTok, The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives, The Bachelorette and enough toxic friendship drama to make poisoned coffee seem almost refreshing. Plus, we answer a listener question about the beauty products, treatments and trends everyone else swears by—but we’re still side-eyeing. • 33 - Season 2, Episode 5: Cari Farver: The True Story of Stalking, Catfishing and Murder

Season 2, Episode 5: Cari Farver: The True Story of Stalking, Catfishing and Murder  In this episode of Murder Murder on the Wall, Stacey and Kelly dive into the shocking true crime case of Cari Farver, a Nebraska woman whose disappearance became one of the most disturbing stories of stalking, catfishing, obsession, identity theft, and murder in recent memory. What begins as a seemingly ordinary dating relationship quickly spirals into years of harassment, manipulation, and deception that left investigators—and everyone involved—struggling to separate fact from fiction. Before unpacking the tragic murder of Cari Farver, we take a detour into the latest Bravo drama, breaking down the tangled relationship dynamics between Ciara Miller, West Wilson, and Amanda Batula from Summer House. Consider it the amuse-bouche before one of the most unbelievable love-triangle cases ever covered on the podcast. Plus, all this discussion of people not being what they seem has us taking a hard look at some recent beauty purchases and asking an important question: are these products delivering on their promises, or are we being catfished, too? • 32 - Season 2, Episode 4: Ian Watkins (Lostprophets) | One of the Most Disturbing True Crime Cases

Ugh, beauties—this is your warning: this episode is extremely dark. This week, we cover the case of Ian Watkins, former lead singer of Lostprophets, and the shocking crimes that went unchecked for far too long. It’s a devastating look at celebrity, power, and how systems can fail to act—even when warning signs are repeatedly reported. This is one of the most disturbing cases we’ve ever covered, involving serious crimes against children. Listener discretion is strongly advised. If this topic is too much, we completely understand—feel free to skip ahead to our beauty segment at 1:21:44 (yes, it’s a long one). • 31 - Pom Pom Mom-The Texas Cheerleader Murder Plot

Episode: The Pom Pom Mom – The Texas Cheerleader Murder Plot What happens when competitive cheerleading, small-town status, and obsessive parenting collide? In this episode of Murder Murder on the Wall, Stacey and Kelly dive into the infamous true-crime case of Wanda Holloway, the Texas mother who tried to hire a hitman to kill another mom — all to secure her daughter’s spot on the middle school cheerleading squad. Known nationwide as the “Pom Pom Mom,” Wanda Holloway’s shocking plot turned a local Texas story into a national media spectacle in the early 1990s. What began as intense cheerleading rivalry in Channelview, Texas spiraled into a bizarre murder-for-hire scheme involving wiretaps, undercover recordings, and one of the strangest parental scandals in American true-crime history.  Before we get to the crime, we do our best to unpack the mom-group drama that unfolded in Ashley Tisdale’s viral essay about being excluded from a celebrity mom group. Why does motherhood sometimes bring out such intense social competition - ie the worst in us? And how does that pressure spiral into behavior that feels straight out of middle school? Buckle up, moms. • 30 - Re-release of MMOTW Episode 21 The Port Arthur Massacre

MMOTW Episode #21 Port Arthur Massacre We are re-releasing this episode in light of the horrific events at Bondi Beach in Australia and Brown University in Rhode Island.  We first released this episode in March of 2025. Since then, there have been approximately 330 mass shootings in the United States.    We are headed way down under to Australia today. Tasmania, to be exact. According to all my Google images, this island off the southern end of Australia is stunning, with beaches, bays, and quorkas. We are not a travel podcast, so we are not covering all of Tasmania’s tourist destinations, but we will talk about a horrific day at one of them. Port Arthur, where on April 28th, 1996, a man committed the worst mass murder in Australian history. We will also tell you why that doesn’t happen anymore. Hint: It’s gun laws. We don’t have those in America.    It is not all dark and dreary on MMOTW. We get into some real blah reviews of some Oscar Glam. YAWN and awful. Don’t worry, we were in our sweats while judging.  Stacey will explain what mummification means, and then we have some banging beauty tips. All by women-owned beauty brands for Women’s History Month! Don’t forget to keep making history! Now, more than ever.   Sources: Stanford study Casefile Podcast  Wikipedia Port Arthur Massacre Britannica Wikipedia NFA Sydney Morning Herald Criminal Minds Wikipedia Martin Bryant   News and Beauty 1:07 Gene Hackman Betsy Arakawa Katie Jane Hughes KJH Make-up Spectrum Brushes Pat McGrath Red Lip SuperGoop MMOTW Episode #21 Port Arthur Massacre   We are headed way down under to Australia today.
