Wed, 23 Sep 2026 - 1h 01min - 3226 - Professor Sucharit Bhakdi Unveils a New Theory on Post-mRNA Vaccine Illness
In a surprise addition to the programme, Professor Sucharit Bhakdi, former chair of the Institute of Medical Microbiology at the University of Mainz, chose the UK Column 20th Anniversary On Location audience to present a hypothesis he had not shared publicly before.
Professor Bhakdi begins with his life and career, from his childhood in Bern, Cairo and Bangkok, his medical training in Bonn, to his research at the Max Planck Institute of Immunobiology. He describes how the corona years led him to Gustave Le Bon's work on crowd psychology and to question decades of his own teaching on vaccination.
He mentions books he has co-authored, including a German-language title with Karina Reiss and Klaus Köhnlein, and a forthcoming English edition of a compendium written with former Pfizer toxicologist Helmut Sterz, to be published by Skyhorse.
Professor Bhakdi argues that lipid nanoparticles and the foreign proteins produced after mRNA injection damage small blood vessels and activate the complement system. He suggests this kills oligodendrocytes, the cells that produce the brain's myelin sheaths. Because oligodendrocytes carry unusually few complement-inhibiting proteins, he proposes that this could set off a self-sustaining cycle of demyelination resulting in degenerative diseases such as Alzheimers, Multiple Sclerosis and Parkinsons.He closes by discussing curcumin as a possible complement inhibitor. He cites early anecdotal reports from a Norwegian doctor and from friends who he supports.
Professor Bhakdi presents this explicitly as an untested hypothesis and invites scientists to try to disprove it.

Trump’s Iran war puts enormous pressure on America’s allies. South Korea is caught directly in the middle.
In this episode, Carl Zha joins Jamarl Thomas to break down the growing pressure on South Korea to support the U.S. military operation around the Strait of Hormuz, despite growing public opposition.

To mark the 25th anniversary of 9/11, UK Column revisits this video from our archives. Ted Walters and Marilyn Langlois interviewed scientist Niels Harrit. Ted is the executive director of the International Center for 9/11 Justice. Marilyn is the executive producer of the film Peace, War and 9/11 and a board member of the International Center for 9/11 Justice.Niels Harrit, PhD, was born in 1945. He served as associate professor of chemistry at the University of Copenhagen (1971–2009), and he has published more than 60 peer-reviewed papers. Since 2007, he has been actively involved in the global 9/11 Truth movement, demanding an independent investigation into 11 September 2001. He was the lead author of a scientific paper published in 2009 describing active thermitic material found in the dust of the three World Trade Center skyscrapers that collapsed. He was also a member of the 9/11 Consensus Panel. Dr Harrit has given around 400 presentations globally on the World Trade Center skyscrapers. Since 2020, his work has expanded to cover the false narratives of the so-called Covid pandemic from a scientific perspective.

Carys is one of thousands of mothers in the UK who have had a child stolen by the State. Her daughter was taken on the basis of a false psychiatric report made against Carys when she was a child. Despite clear evidence which demonstrates the report was false, that the psychiatrist struck off, and Carys has raised another happy, healthy child, Carys is still denied contact with her daughter after years apart.
Carys has fought for contact through the Family Courts and the wider judicial system. She is either prevented from presentation of her evidence of innocence, or her evidence is dismissed out of hand. Her reward for the fight to see her child has been continued alienation, denial of access to appeal, and substantial court costs awarded against her. Her response is to speak out publicly with the UK Column to expose the continued gulag of the family courts and child protection system in the UK.

Welcome back to the Silk and Steel Chinese History Series.
In this episode, Carl Zha and JJ return to 206 BC, in the chaotic aftermath of the collapse of the Qin Dynasty.
The great rebel commander Xiang Yu has divided the former Qin territories among rival generals. He believes he can keep his potential enemies divided and under control. Liu Bang, meanwhile, has been effectively exiled to the remote Sichuan and Hanzhong region with a dramatically reduced army.
Xiang Yu has made a critical mistake.
He has underestimated Liu Bang. More importantly, he has failed to recognise the extraordinary talent of a 22-year-old former wanderer named Han Xin.
Han Xin's early life did not suggest a future military genius. He struggled to feed himself, was mocked as a coward after he crawled between the legs of a local bully, and was repeatedly ignored by powerful commanders.
Yet Xiao He recognised something nobody else could see.
When Han Xin deserted Liu Bang's army, Xiao He personally chased him down and convinced him to return. Xiao He then persuaded Liu Bang to make this virtually unknown 22-year-old the Grand Commander of the Han army.
What happened next would change Chinese history.
Han Xin identified Xiang Yu's weaknesses, exploited Liu Bang's advantages, and helped transform a supposedly exiled force into a massive army.
The Qinling Mountains appeared to be an enormous logistical obstacle. But Han Xin found a way through.
The Han army eventually surged out of Sichuan with vastly superior numbers, overwhelming the divided Three Qin kingdoms. Zhang Han — once one of the most formidable commanders of the Qin — was isolated and besieged.
Meanwhile, Xiang Yu was distracted by rebellions and rivalries in Qi, Zhao and elsewhere.
Within a remarkably short period, Liu Bang conquered almost all of the former Qin heartland and marched east.
The episode also examines the famous Chinese saying “明修栈道，暗度陈仓” — commonly understood as "appearing to repair one route while secretly moving through another." We question how much of the traditional story may have been embellished by later sources.
Most importantly, this episode explains why Liu Bang succeeded where later commanders such as Zhuge Liang struggled.
The difference wasn't simply clever battlefield tactics.
Liu Bang knew how to delegate.
Zhang Liang handled strategy.
Xiao He handled logistics and administration.
Han Xin commanded the army.Xiang Yu had created a divided political landscape that was supposed to protect his power. Instead, that division gave Liu Bang the opportunity to grow stronger.
With Liu Bang now moving east, the stage is set for the eventual showdown between Liu Bang and Xiang Yu.

A little while ago, Reiner Fuellmich was able to call Brian Gerrish from prison to talk about his case and the possibility of his release.
Reiner spoke candidly about the Corona Investigative Committee finances, his actions to try and protect the donations from the state, and the resulting events which led to his imprisonment. Reiner stresses that whilst others still have the money he was accused of stealing, his actions to protect the CIC finances by buying gold have ensured the funds are still protected. Upbeat in the conversation about a positive outcome to his appeal for an immediate detention review, his hope for release from prison was to be dashed by a Court announcement on 18 August 2026. The appeal was effectively refused. Strangely, the Court used its decision dated 17 March 2026, a decision not previously announced, to justify the refusal.

When Liu Bang arrives in the Qin capital, he unexpectedly follows a remarkably restrained policy: he seals the imperial palace, protects the population and waits for Xiang Yu.
But Xiang Yu sees Liu Bang as a potential rival.
What follows is one of the most famous episodes in Chinese history: the dangerous banquet in which Xiang Yu's advisor Fan Zeng wants Liu Bang killed. Xiang Yu hesitates. A staged sword dance becomes an attempted assassination, and Liu Bang ultimately escapes through a combination of political maneuvering, loyalty and sheer nerve.
The episode would become legendary — to include the Chinese idiom “Xiang Zhuang performs the sword dance while aiming at Liu Bang.”
The larger story is even more consequential.
Why did Xiang Yu divide China into competing kingdoms rather than simply replace the Qin imperial system?
Why did he isolate Liu Bang in the Sichuan Basin?
Why did Xiang Yu eliminate or weaken so many former rulers while he rewarded his own generals with kingdoms?

From the rebellion of Chen Sheng and Wu Guang to Xiang Yu's new political order, the old aristocratic hierarchy begins to break down.
While Xiang Yu believes he has successfully contained Liu Bang, he has unknowingly created the conditions for his greatest rival to return.

Brad Miller graduated from the United States Military Academy at West Point in 2003 and served 19 years in active duty.
His career took him to Afghanistan, Honduras, South Korea, and various locations throughout the US.
Brad tells Charles about the pivotal moment he chose to resign after being relieved of battalion command for refusing the military’s Covid injection mandate.
His 19 years, three months, and 15 days of service officially came to an end on 15 September 2022.
In January 2024, Brad became a signatory to the Declaration of Military Accountability, an open letter and pledge initiated by over 200 active-duty US service members and veterans.
Since then, he has been dedicating his intellect and energy into holding power to account.
He is also actively involved with the Military Chapter of Children's Health Defense.

David Skyman is a Neurolinguistic Programming (NLP) Master Trainer with more than 20 years of experience in the field. In this conversation, David talks about the power of NLP and how the therapeutic process can be used to shape our lives.
Our government in Westminster boasted in its 2010 Cabinet Office document 'MINDSPACE:Influencing Behaviour through Public Policy' that it now had the power to change the way people thought and behaved. This claim was true, and the Government had initially developed these manipulative psychological policies within its Behavioural Insights Team (BIT).
In 2015, Brian Gerrish warned of the political dangers of Neurolinguistic Programming (NLP) in his article ‘From Magic to Madness — The Government's NLP Assault on Our Minds’. At that time, he was a lone voice warning of the risks.
Some ten years later, Brian has now had an important discussion on the Government's malicious use of political applied psychology and hypnosis with NLP Master Trainer David Skyman. David warns that “[The behavioural] manipulation is not just coming through news — it's coming through programmes, it's coming through sitcoms, it's coming through cartoons and everything. So stop watching the TV, and start watching things that make sense”.
Particular emphasis is placed on how governments and businesses use NLP to control belief and behaviour — especially how it was used during the Covid years.
With his decades of experience, David also argues that NLP can be used for good. Using the gun analogy, he suggests that NLP itself is not necessarily a problem; it’s the person or institution using it.
This is an interview for anyone interested in the human mind and why those in power are so determined to control it.

Veteran journalist John Helmer is the longest continuously serving foreign correspondent in Russia. He has lived and worked in Moscow since 1989. In this wide-ranging conversation with Mike Robinson, Helmer dismantles the Western caricature of Vladimir Putin as a master strategist. Putin never played chess and, contrary to the rhetoric of the likes of russophobes like Chris Donnelly, does not play Go either. He is, instead, a balancer of factions — above all the oligarch lobby created in 1996.
That balancing act, Helmer argues, is now failing under the combined weight of war, recession and inflation ahead of Russian elections. He sets out the escalation options open to the Kremlin, none of which require nuclear weapons, and explains why Sergei Karaganov's calls for tactical nuclear use are a deception operation rather than serious doctrine.

Quiet-spoken Martin Brighton made contact with Brian Gerrish over twenty years ago. An email and telephone call led to a meeting where an exchange of information showed two cities, Sheffield and Plymouth, mired in corruption as a result of the secret networks of Common Purpose.
When Martin's wife was intimidated by the city council, his investigations lifted the lid on millions in European funds that were used fraudulently within the wider Labour administration, which brought about a whitewash of the whole affair by the EU's anti-fraud office, OLAF.
Martin experienced threats and intimidation which strengthened his resolve for justice. His research, which started with corruption, then unearthed the cover-up of child abuse. Ultimately, his investigatory efforts were to result in a South Yorkshire police raid on his home and the theft of substantial evidence which the police should investigate.

Jose Vega returns to UK Column after more than a year, ahead of the US midterms where he again challenges Ritchie Torres in the Bronx.
This time his campaign took a two-pronged approach, to run in the Democratic primary and on the general election ballot. Once again he gathered more than 15,000 signatures to do it and took six percent in the June primary.
