South Florida-based singer/songwriter and SEU Worship alum Jenn Chenoweth about her debut EP, Out To Get Me. The autobiographical project released August 29th!

The daughter of a pastor, Jenn was raised with a firm foundation of faith, but she grappled with anxiety and low self-esteem for many years and struggled to view God as a loving father. In addition, in 2019 her jaw unexpectedly locked open while she was eating lunch one day. This triggered constant chronic pain for nearly two years as Jenn received various treatments for TMJ disorder. Through this lengthy healing process, God began to reveal even greater depths of His love for her, rekindling Jenn’s passion to proclaim His goodness through music. The EP title, Out To Get Me, reflects Jenn’s ultimate realization that God wasn’t out to get her like a taskmaster, but He was out to get her and bring her to Him—a loving Father, Shepherd and Friend.

10-year-old Jameson Reeder Jr. survived a shark attack from a 9-foot bull shark while vacationing with his family in the Florida Keys. After losing part of his right leg below the knee he has continued to put his faith in Jesus Christ every day. At the age of seven, Rachael discovered her passion for singing—a gift she attributes to God. Self-trained and a pianist by ear, she quickly developed an ear for harmonies, allowing her to explore her musical talents with ease.

Rachael began her musical journey in church, performing her first solo at ten years old with "Somebody Love Me" by Michael W. Smith. Little did she know, nearly a decade later, she would sing with him on one of his albums.

Rachael’s career gained momentum as she opened for renowned artists such as J. Moss, Salvador, Jars of Clay, and Big Daddy Weave. During the early years of Church of the Highlands’ launch in Birmingham, she also served as one of its primary worship leaders. In addition to her live performances, Rachael lent her voice to commercial jingles for major brands including McDonald’s and Williamson Medical Center in Nashville. She also has been in several music videos for artists such as Brandon Heath “Give Me Your Eyes” and Salvador “What Would It Be Like”.

Relocating to Nashville allowed Rachael to further pursue her dreams. Her contributions to Michael W. Smith’s Hymns album reached fans nationwide. In 2016, Rachael had the incredible opportunity to sing with Carrie Underwood at the CMT Awards. On today's show, we chat with Dan Dean!

Dan Dean’s love for music and performing began when he started taking piano lessons in the third grade. He involved himself musically in his father’s church starting at the age of sixteen and continued to do so until he graduated high school. Upon graduation, he attended Jackson College of Ministries in Jackson, MS before eventually finishing with a BSA from Dallas Baptist University.

Dan started pursuing the call of ministry at a very early age and has been a passionate follower of Christ. His life was greatly influenced by his father, his father-in-law, and his four brothers; all of whom have devoted their lives to ministry. Dan himself has been full-time in ministry for the past 49 years. 

In early 1992, he was invited to join with friends Randy Phillips and Shawn Craig in recording an album for Starsong Records. The first release of their self-title project, Phillips, Craig, and Dean spawned four #1 songs; two on the A/C charts and two on the Inspo chart, and peaked at #13 on the Christian album sales charts. Since that debut project, Phillips, Craig, and Dean have released 13 studio albums, two Christmas albums, and a Hymns and Psalms album. Along the way, the group has garnered 13 Dove Award nominations, and won on four separate occasions, while selling over 2.5 million albums. Their hit single, ‘Revelation Song,’ released in 2009, was certified Gold by RIAA, and they have been honored to see over 20 songs top the charts. 

During this time, Dan has also written or co-written many of the hits recorded by Phillips, Craig, and Dean including ‘Favorite Song of All,’ which was nominated for a Dove Award for Contemporary Christian Song of the Year, and ‘I Want to Be Just Like You,’ which received a nomination for Inspirational Song of the Year.

In January of 2000, Dan and his wife Becky were asked to lead the church they had already been serving for 15 years. In October of 2019, he stepped down from the Lead Pastor role, but continues to be involved in the Heartland faith family. In June of 2025, he and his wife Becky will celebrate 40 years of being partners of Heartland Church.

Today, Dan continues to travel and perform as the lead singer of Phillips, Craig, and Dean, but has also stepped into a new chapter by recording a solo album, entitled More. The new project features 11 songs, eight of which he either wrote or co-wrote. More has also allowed him to return to his country roots, where he feels most at home vocally.  In addition to touring with Phillips, Craig, and Dean, Dan looks forward to sharing this new music with audiences across the country at select solo dates.

Cory Asbury is a singer-songwriter who began his musical journey in church at the age of 14. He became a full-time performer at 21. His influential album, Reckless Love (2018), topped the Billboard Christian Albums chart and earned him two Dove Awards and a GRAMMY nomination. Music has taken Ben Fuller’s life and made it into something he never would have dreamed. Ben grew up in Southern Vermont on his family dairy farm working along-side his father. He'd pass the time by singing classic country tunes as he witnessed first-hand the hard work and dedication it took to run a farm.

The Reeves brothers have taken their hybrid brand of acoustic-grounded storytelling and spiritually-fueled country music to concert venues nationally before being discovered and signed to their first label deal with Centricity Music. A little bit Shane & Shane, a little bit Florida Georgia Line, Band Reeves is forging their own unique path on a patch of back forty dirt where blue-collar living, big family dinners and bonfire worship all converge.

Fusing complementary country and Christian musical genres rooted in life on the farm and the faith that sustains them, Palestine, TX-based Band Reeves brothers Jeramy and Cody release their Centricity Music debut single, “Outrun You", the song was birthed after Jeramy’s transformational encounter with Christ.

Although he made a public profession of faith at age 12, it wasn’t until he was 23 that Jeramy experienced a real relationship with Jesus. “I made a lot of stupid decisions as a teenager,” he admits. “I was walking further and further away from what I knew was true.” 

During his wayward season, Jeramy’s wife had a life-changing encounter with the Lord at 18, the same year they were married. “I just watched God radically change her, and that challenged me in a lot of ways,” the oldest Reeves brother reflects, “in the way she was living and handling our marriage, and in the way she could forgive and move forward.”

When divorce entered the conversation, Jeramy found himself at a crossroads. After digging into the Bible and examining the theology behind different religious schools of thought, he made a personal decision to genuinely follow Jesus.

“I got on my knees at two o’clock in the morning, put my face in the gravel; and I just told God, ‘I don’t know what happened to me when I was 12 years old, but I know where I’m sitting right now,’” he remembers. “I asked God to save me, and when I stood up from that little heart-to-heart with Jesus, God started radically changing me, and He healed my marriage.”

Phil is based in Amarillo, Texas, but his impact as a songwriter and worship leader is felt throughout the industry. His songs have been recorded by Matt Redman, Leeland and Micah Tyler, among others, and he released the duet "Psalm 23 (I Am Not Alone)" with Meredith Andrews in 2023. Another career highlight for Phil was his participation in Focus on the Family’s 2019 pro-life event “Alive From New York.” He and Francesca Battistelli performed his song “Not Forgotten” before 20,000 people in Times Square.

For Melody Noel, music is a life force. Born into a family of mariachis spanning across seven generations — with the earliest musician dating back to the 1870s — Melody forged her own path as the first to create music outside the Mexican folk genre.  Melody began her journey in pop music as a member of teen girl group Runway MMC. The song peaked at no. 72 on the US Billboard Hot 100 and no. 9 on the Digital Songs chart. After feeling the pull to write songs for something bigger than herself, Melody pivoted to the Christian music genre, establishing Influence Music in 2017.
