A few weeks ago...I was in London. I walked into an immersive experience called David Bowie: You Aren't Alone. I expected great music. Great visuals. A walk through one of rock's greatest careers. What I didn't expect...was to walk out thinking about the bands I play every week. Because somewhere along the way...it hit me. David Bowie didn't just write incredible songs. He gave generations of musicians permission... to change. To evolve. To ignore expectations. To become whoever they wanted to become next. Tonight... we're following those footprints. From Bowie...to the artists still breaking the rules today. This is The Original Rule Breaker.

So... before tonight's show, I was talking with my sister. She listens every week. And she said something that stuck with me. "Your show is really good... if I can get past all the screaming." Fair enough. So... I accepted the challenge. People hear "hard rock" or "metal" and assume it's all aggression. All volume. All chaos. But that's only part of the story. What they don't always hear is the songwriting. The melodies. The emotion. Some of the best songs in modern rock don't need harsh vocals to hit hard. They hit because they're honest. So this hour is for my sister... And maybe for anyone who's ever thought hard rock wasn't for them. And who knows... by the end of the hour, I might even make a new hard rock fan. Let's turn it up.
