Well, almost. Almost. So, not really, I guess. Not really, just almost. But, though, though.
So, I'm having a great time today. It is Sunday, uh, a day off. Well, almost. I have to work, though. I have to work, though. So, not really, is it? No, I guess not. So, it's almost a day off. I guess so, I guess so. Almost.
And, you know, the spring is here, as I said, the spring, and it's quite warm today. Well, almost. My hands and feet are freezing cold, though. Are freezing cold, though. I don't know why. So, again, warm? Yes. Well, almost.
But still, still, a lot of free time for me, for me, and, oh, almost, almost. I do have a family dinner, though. I have a family dinner, though. So, again, almost, almost.
But then, sure, time to relax, sit back, watch, listen, whatever, have a nap. Though, I should do a bit of workout. So, almost, again.
But then, then, time for myself. Definitely. Hmm... Though I didn't do my language routine today. Though, I didn't do it. Well, I hate that. I hate that.
I'm not worried. I'm not worried, though. I am not worried, though. Because then, all the afternoon. All the afternoon is gonna be just for me. Just for me. Right? Well, almost. Also, time to get ready, though. Time to get ready, though. For tomorrow. For tomorrow. Yeah.

Sick of it, sick of it. I'm sick, I'm sick and also I am sick of this, I am sick of it. Yeah. So when you say you are sick of something, you are sick of it, it is just too much for you and you can't stand it anymore. So you are tired of that and you just hate it.
And me? Well, I am sick of being sick because I'm sick again, I'm sick, oh jeez, I am sick again and I can't stand it. It is not a big deal. so in English when you say it is not a big deal, you mean it is not a big problem, it is not a big deal, but still, still I am sick and I am not quite right.
So I am tired, first of all, I feel tired and well, I keep coughing, I keep coughing, which is not a good thing, not a good thing, I did have a little fever, but not anymore, so that's a good thing, I'm getting better, and I'm having a bit of trouble speaking, you might hear that in my voice. Oh, and oh, also I am sick of that, I'm sick of that too, I have a runny nose, runny nose.
So again, not a big deal, but well annoying, that's what I would say, that's annoying, annoying. And I'm wondering, I am wondering - why do I keep catching a cold, why do I keep catching this horrible cold? Am I doing something wrong here, am I doing something wrong?
People keep telling me that I should boost my immune system, in other words, because that's quite complicated, I'm not a doctor here, in other words, help my body a little bit, defend itself, defend, so that I don't keep getting sick so much. Yeah, so let me have a look at some ideas.
So they say, do you sleep enough, meaning seven, eight, maybe more hours a night? Well I do, I do, I get to seven, I get to seven, sometimes, sometimes even more.
And then, do you eat nutritious food, nutritious? So that's diet rich in, rich in vegetables, fruits, protein and some elements, and I think I do, again I think I do.
Hey, maybe do you exercise regularly, do you exercise? And yes, of course, I love that, I love that, so it must be something else here, it must be, something else.
Do you wash your hands regularly? So do you practice good hygiene, practice good hygiene? Well I'm not bad at that.
So maybe alcohol, smoking, fast food, anything? Nope, nope, I don't do that either, I don't do that either, and still I'm sick.
So how about this, do you supplement, supplement your diet with vitamins, some nutrients, minerals? And yes I do, I do.
So what is wrong here? Well, I'm sick of that. So here comes the last one, are you stressed, and do you take time to relax regularly, take time to relax? Well, I thought I did, I thought, to be honest, I'm not so sure about that.
But I know what I'm gonna do right now. Just sit back, listen to my favorite podcast and do nothing,

Bad day, oh sometimes I do, I do have a bad day, not usually I suppose, not, usually I suppose not. Well I hope not, no definitely not, definitely not. But that was the case, that was the case, well yesterday, yesterday.
So I woke up, I woke up thinking, oh, this is going to be a perfect day, a perfect day. Just look at this weather, look at this weather, it is going to be just wonderful. Well it turns out, it turns out, it turns out, well it wasn't, it wasn't. It was cloudy, I could not see the sun, I could not see their sun at all, so that was disappointing and a bad start of the day. So I got off, got off to a bad start, meaning it started badly.
Yeah I took it as a sign, I took it as a sign, because the whole day was like that. So as usual I wanted to make my breakfast, oatmeal obviously, and to my surprise, to my surprise, it turns out, it turns out, well I didn't have any, I didn't have any, so I couldn't prepare my breakfast, which by the way very rarely happens, very.
Anyway, anyway I still had my coffee, my morning coffee, yeah it won't be that bad, I thought, it won't. Okay, that was my fault, but come on, breakfast and coffee, running out at the same time, on the same day, and the same morning. That was just bad luck,

Yeah, so I checked and yes I did, I did, but it turns out, it turns out, while I was opening the box, the tea box, so the box that I keep my green tea in, well, was left open, was left open, and I did that, was left open and while I was reaching, reaching for it out of the cabinet, it fell on the floor, and the tea spilled, spilled all over the place. Oh my. Seriously?
On the same day, just a bad bad day, what else could go wrong here, what else?, I thought, because obviously that was not the end, that wasn't, that wasn't the end.
So later on, later on I had two appointments with furniture people, two separate appointments, and well, yeah, you guessed all right, you guessed it. It turns out that the first one, the first guy, called me and said that he was too busy to come, too busy. And the other one, well, it turns out he didn't even text me, or call me. He just didn't show up at all, so he didn't come.
Yeah, that's what happened. So overall not the best day of my life, I must say,. And you know what, you know what? Turns out, it turns out, Friday 13th is coming up, Friday 13th, and just can't wait to see what will happen on that day, Just can't wait.

Hey, the spring, the spring is here. Oh my God! The spring is sort of here. Not in the calendar, it is not in the calendar. But yeah, it is outside. I can see it right now, I can feel it, I can smell it. Yeah, and I can hear it. Yeah, I can hear it too. It is definitely here, it is definitely here.
That's why, that is why, that's why I do have a lot of energy. Yeah, I do, and I want to use it today. That is why, that's why I am now recording this episode. That's why, that's why I'm doing that.
Yeah, and outside, outside, it is getting warmer. And that's why people spend more time outdoors, outside, outdoors. Yeah, me too, me too. It is getting warmer, that's why people change, change their clothes. Yeah, they change into something lighter, something more springy, summery. Oh, maybe not summery yet, maybe not. But definitely something lighter.

Does it make any sense? Does it make any sense to you what I am saying? Does it make any sense? Well, I really, really hope that it makes sense. It makes a lot of sense because this is the point. This is the point to understand what I am saying and to make sense out of all of that.
Yeah, so make sure it makes sense to you and while doing that, while you are doing that, make sure you are using your senses. Do you know what senses are? Let me explain a little bit to you.
First, use your ears and listen, listen. Can you hear me? Can you hear my voice? Can you? Is it low? Is it high? No, it isn't high. Yeah, not high at all. It sounds low. It sounds low. I'm sure you can hear it.
So that's ears and now open your eyes and look, look, look around. What can you see? Can you see me? I'm right in front of you. I'm right in front of you. You should see me. No, actually you should hear me. Just hear me. So what can you see? Me, I'm looking out of the window and I can see it is raining. It is raining right now. I can see it and I can hear it actually. I'm looking and I can also see that it is getting dark. Yeah, that's right. Actually it looks like a night, but it isn't. It looks like that.
But now, close your eyes and use your nose. Yeah, you heard me right. Use your nose and smell it, smell it. What can you smell? What can you smell? Hey, can you smell me? Yeah, Luke likes the Olympics, Luke likes sports, so also Luke likes the Olympics, the Olympic Games, Summer Olympics or Winter Olympics. It doesn't really matter because it's all fascinating.
Yeah, and when it comes to the Winter Olympics, oh my, this is crazy and awesome at the same time. Crazy because, well, look at those athletes, athletes that show such incredible skills, skills. So it is awesome that at the same time, oh, come on, that is so risky and could be really dangerous, dangerous. Especially some sports, some disciplines, disciplines.
So this time around, the Olympics take place in Milano Cortina, which is Italy. And as you know, the Olympics are held, are held, so take place, are held every four years, every four years. So you have to wait really long for the Olympic Games.
So the athletes from around the world, from around the world compete, compete in disciplines that you might hear for the first time, for the first time in your life. Yeah, this is the beauty of the Winter Olympics.

New, new, new things, new places, new people, new, hmm, experiences. Do you like things to be new? Do you like new things to happen? Oh yeah, sure. Oh, that's new, that's amazing, that's exciting. Or do you prefer things to be old? Well, maybe the same and unchanged, unchanged.
A new car, for example. That's good, it's fast, it's modern, modern and, well, reliable. So when you say it is reliable, it doesn't break too often. Reliable. And it is fancy. New car, fancy car, fancy. So people like it, it's nice to look at and maybe a little expensive. Fancy.
An old car, an old car, on the other hand, well, can break a lot, can break down a lot and not so fancy, maybe a little dirty here and there. Also, not so fast, I'm sure and not as economical, economical as the new one either. But, but, yeah, it's familiar, familiar. If it is familiar, we know it very, very well. That's a difficult word for today, superstitious, superstitious. Are you superstitious? When you ask somebody if they are superstitious, you ask if they believe that some events cannot be explained, cannot be explained by science or reason, so in a logical way.
Especially if this event can bring bad luck or good luck. A black cat for example, or breaking a mirror. Do you know what I mean? Superstitious. I am not, I am really not, but, but... So here is what happened.
So the other day, the other day, which means a few days ago, I had this dream that I bought a new car and just got it. Oh that was beautiful, I was so excited and obviously I wanted to show it to my family and friends and share this happiness with them.
So I drove to my family's place and on the way, just in front of the place, just in front, there was a big stone in the middle of the street and I hit it so hard that I ruined, I ruined, so I broke, the wheel of the brand new car,
I was devastated, devastated, so very, very upset. I felt embarrassed, embarrassed, so I felt ashamed because come on, that's a new car and it is already ruined. So I called my brother for help because I can always count on him, I can always count, so he's always ready to help. And then I woke up.
Are you with me so far? Are you with me? Nothing really strange, we all have dreams like that from time to time. So I woke up and went to work as usual. So I did and I was a little late, so I was in a little hurry. And while I was doing that, while I was carrying the shopping bags, our neighbour slipped and fell down in the street, right in the middle of the street. So I rushed, so I ran quickly, I rushed to help her get up obviously.
I must add that the street was very slippery and it was covered with ice, so there was ice on it, it was covered with ice and it was snowing, it was snowing. Pretty bad conditions.
Anyway, I rushed to help her get up and, well, while I was doing that I slipped and fell down just next to her. You can imagine it was quite funny to look at. Comedy. Well, it wasn't a comedy for me because I slipped and fell down on my back and landed straight, well, you might not believe that, I landed straight on a stone, which was part of the street.
I remember I was lying there for a few seconds because I couldn't believe what just happened, next to this poor lady. After some time we got up and we felt quite alright then, but still a little shaken, shaken, so a little shocked, we could say.
But the weird thing, the strange thing, the weird thing is that the stone which I fell on, I fell on and hurt my back so hard, I can feel it right now, was in fact in the exact same place as the stone from my dream.
So, I'm not superstitious, I am not, but weird things do happen. Later I found out that dreaming about a stone means nothing good for your health, that's pretty obvious, but also financial success.
So let's stick to that. I will need it for the doctors.

Happy, happy old year, and the new year too, obviously. Happy new year 2026. But was 2025 a happy year? Was it? I'm pretty sure it was, I hope it was, because I must say that I have asked this question, 'How was 2025 for you? How was it?'
I have asked many people this question, and they all said it was pretty good. It was pretty good, or even awesome. It was awesome. Nobody even said, nobody, not even one person said that it was bad. So, my conclusion is, the next year is always, always better than the previous year. Is it logical? Not really, not really, it's not how it works. But let's say for a moment, let's say it is like that.
And I hope it is, because it means that the next year, and the next one, and the next one, and every year to come is going to be even a little better than the previous, previous one. That would be great, that would be awesome.

And I am telling you all about that because the other day, so not a long time ago, the other day, I was preparing my meal, my evening meal on my stove, on my stove, so the place, the top that you prepare your meals on, and you can heat them.

Do use this word in English, cozy? Yeah, a pretty nice word, which you can use when you feel comfortable and, well, sort of safe. But the most important part is you're feeling warm and relaxed. Cozy. Cozy little place by the fire, by the fire, for example.
So nothing better than feeling cozy on a December afternoon and evening. When it's pretty dark outside and not too cozy, not too cozy when you go out. So staying in and enjoying the cozy atmosphere, which starts, in my opinion, which starts with a hot, hot drink.

Motivation, do you have motivation? Do you have enough motivation? Do you have enough motivation to do that, to do this, to do things? Are you motivated enough? Are you motivated?
Because that's a mystery, so like a secret, and we wonder, was it really is. A mystery. How does it really work? Can you please tell me? Can you please tell me? Why am I motivated? Why am I not motivated enough to do exercise in the morning?
I wake up and I wonder, 'Hmm, I want to do that today.' But yesterday, I didn't really want. I didn't feel like doing that. I didn't want to do that. I didn't feel like doing. Why is that?
Yeah, morning exercise, a mystery. Or to work hard and do your best, do your best, which means to be as best as you can, do your best. Am I always motivated to do this? I don't think so. I would like to be. Yeah, that's for sure.
Or to study, to study every day, to study three times a week, to be more regular. To keep coming back to studying. Are you motivated enough? Yes you are. Sometimes. Not always. But you do come back. You do. You always come back.
So why is that? We struggle. We struggle. I struggle, so I have problems. I have problems doing that, I struggle to do something. To learn sometimes, to make myself do it, make myself do it.
'Oh, not today. Not today. I'm so tired. I don't feel like doing that.' I'm sure you feel like that from time to time as well. But then, for some reason, for some reason, you find motivation, find motivation to do that.

And also no worrying that you're gonna be late and no worrying that you're gonna miss an appointment or forget about something important. No things like that. Sunday.
Sleeping in, so sleeping a little longer. Then having breakfast a little later. Taking your time because nowhere to go. Listening to some music, to a podcast, maybe using social media a little, just taking your time, with your coffee. Just relaxing, sitting comfortably in an armchair. No need to hurry.
No thinking about anything really. No thinking about problems, no problems on this day. Then the noon, maybe a little walk outside, taking your dog out for a longer walk, a longer stroll in the park. Slowly, without hurrying, looking around, noticing things.
Noticing the weather and the nature. It's pretty cold and rainy, but no worrying about that, no worrying about that today. It's Sunday, no need for that. Then a little reading or watching or listening. Nothing really important, just fun stuff, easy.

So I am at work, I am working, I am working really hard. I shouldn't, I shouldn't be working because this is my day off. And it is my time off, so the time when I don't have to work, but I do, I do. And to be honest with you, to be honest with you, I quite hate that.
So let me explain, let me explain. I am working, and well, there is a lot of paper around me, a lot of paper. And this is paperwork. Yeah, do you know what that is? Paperwork. Well, that's documents, forms, bills, and other pieces of writing. Well, documents in general, that you really, really, really have to do from time to time. I'm so sorry.
Fortunately, I do not have to do that a lot, and I am trying to do this as quickly as possible, and come back to enjoying my life again. Oh, but not this time, not this time. Because you see, I got this piece of writing and documents, yeah, which I don't quite understand.
Okay, but anyway, I got this document saying that I have to pay this car insurance. Oh, and I'm okay with that. I know that. I do that all the time. We do this all the time. And the point is, the point is, the point is, I have already done it. I have already done it. I have paid, and still I get this piece of writing.
Yeah, and that's the moment I really, really don't like, because it really slows down the work. And as I said before, I don't want to be doing that. I want to be as fast as possible, and now I have to deal with that, so when you say deal with something, you have a problem, and somehow you have to find a way to get around this problem, deal with the problem, so that you don't have it.
And this is what I was trying to do. I was trying to deal with this problem, and I called the insurance company. Well, it didn't work. It didn't work, because I couldn't find a real person to talk to about it. And the ideas they gave me over there didn't work, didn't work at all, didn't work.
That's not the end. I had to go and see the insurance agent to help me with the problem, and what did he do? Well, he tried to call the same number and deal with this problem, as I did before, and he got the same result. We could say he failed, so he didn't get what he wanted. I failed, he failed. Oh, we both failed. So we failed to deal with the problem, we could say.
So here I am, here I am, and I am trying to find a way, and I still have two solutions to try. One, try and explain everything in an email, and hopefully somebody will read it and react.
And second, well, I'm going to take my car, which, by the way, is fully insured, and drive 600km to see somebody from the company, and, well, and say, 'Hey man, are you mad? Are you out of your mind? Why are you doing that to me? You made a mistake, and I have to pay for that?!' And to make things worse, to make things worse, I have to waste the whole day driving here. 'Come on, leave me alone, leave me alone!'
I hope I won't have to do that, but I guess you know what I mean. So I'm stuck here on my day off, dealing with work, paper work.

And I have made, I have created 100 episodes ... 99 episodes, this is the 100th one,
But yeah, you have learned, you have learned, hopefully, hopefully, so I really hope you have learned something, and even a little more than that.
Oh, it has been a long, long run, it has been a run because the idea, the idea behind this podcast is to give you the basis, the basis to listen, to communicate and to use, to use English better and better.
And I have tried to do that in 10 steps. Let's have a little recap, recap, so let's go back in time.

Yeah, I'm not really into a lot of things, and when you say you are not into, you are not into something, you don't really like doing that, and you are not a fan, a fan. So let's find out, find out more about that.
Board games, board games. Yeah why not, why not, I am into board games, but I must say not a very very good player. Especially when it comes to chess. Wait, that's a board game right? Yeah, so I am into playing chess but need to get better, definitely better. Sure it is a lot of fun when a lot of people can join in, so do it together, join in.
Cars. Oh, that's so funny, that is so funny. Okay, I am told, so my parents tell me, I am told that when I was a child, I was so so into cars, and I would cry, cry a lot if a book didn't have a picture of a car, or the story was not about cars. Yeah, and now, when I think of cars, I think, 'oh my goodness, what now, what do I have to repair now?' Oh, yeah, but alright, to be honest, overall, I don't mind, I don't mind, which means I am okay with that, I am okay with cars.

Are you saying that we are not going to watch anything and just sit like that in silence? Is it really possible to do that? Oh, come on. Let's just at least put on some music. You will take up, take up something new. So start doing something new that you might like. Who knows, maybe this is something that you always wanted to do, like photography or gardening, DIY, like making new furniture by yourself.
Or maybe finally you just want to have some peace and quiet, have some rest.

Hey, do you know what I realized? What I realized just now Well, that pretty much all the time, okay, not all the time, most of the time, so pretty much most of the time, every day, during the day, in the morning, in the evening I listen to stuff. I use my headphones for that. Oh, it depends, it depends, so whatever the situation is, it depends.
Anyway, I listen to a lot of, a lot of stuff. Now, this is mostly podcasts in different languages. And different reasons so why I listen to them, reasons, but it used to be, it used to be a little different because that used to be mostly music.
Yeah, I realized that it changed a little. And I am wondering if this is because of me, because I changed or because, well, the situation changed and the times changed as well. But whatever the reason, whatever it is, I still like music. Come on, who doesn't?
And today, for example, I just remember it how much fun it is. How much fun it is to listen to some music you enjoy and, and, and this is really, really fun to explore, explore new music. I just love this feeling when you can find something totally, completely new. And you can't get enough of that. You just keep coming back and listen to that over and over again.
I used to do that a lot when I was a teenager and later on in my life. And I remember back then, back then, I didn't need much more than that.Really, just me and my music. That was it. And now, okay, I don't want to say that. I don't have enough time for music.That just..., no, I will not say that. Now I just choose to listen to podcasts more than music.
And when do I listen to music? Well, definitely when I do sports. I put on my earbuds and off we go. It makes the experience much, much more enjoyable this way. Enjoyable, so a lot of fun, enjoyable. Well, and I do not need to say that it gives a lot of energy. And I feel more motivated, motivated, yes, I do have motivation to keep going, just keep going. And obviously, this is more of an energetic upbeat, energetic upbeat, so quite fast music.

So again, again - Do I want to do it? Do I want to do it? Or do I like? Do I like doing it? Want to/Like. Obviously, I like doing it. We will see. Let's go.
I like studying languages. I like studying, studying languages. And I love studying languages. And I enjoy studying languages. All of that. No surprises here.
So, I like studying, I love studying, and I enjoy studying languages. Well, I enjoy doing other things too. And I love other things too, like I love playing with my dog. Yeah, let's leave it at that.
But also, I hate doing a lot of things. Oh, the list can be very long here. I hate doing paperwork. I hate doing paperwork. It means I hate doing all the office work and documents, things like that. And I can't stand, I can't stand. Oh, I know. I can't stand waking up early morning. I can't stand doing that. Yuck. And I prefer, I prefer waking up a little later.

Summer time. Summer time is great. That's a great, great time. And it is even better when you get to have some free time for yourself. Well, not everyone can have it, unfortunately. But still, still, it is an awesome, fantastic time.
How do you spend that time? I'm sure you are travelling, get to know new places, and get to do new things. Oh, that's nice - try and experience, experience. So in English, when you say you experience new things, you, well, you just do them, maybe for the first time, and you will remember what it is like to do it and try it. Pretty cool. Good for you, good for you.
And me? Well, I have my sports. Yeah! So if someone asked you, 'what would you do if you had some free time? What would you do then?' Would you meet your friends? Maybe. Would you travel? Yeah, definitely. Would you get some rest and watch something? Maybe go out and see people. Yeah, all of them are great ideas. I'm sure.
But me? I do sports. Well, and languages. I am crazy about that too. Today, for example, I got to play basketball. About two hours, two hours, outdoors, and that was amazing. I felt really good. Now I feel tired, but at the same time, I feel happy because this is what I get from basketball.
And I used to, used to play volleyball as well, volleyball. It is not very popular in every part of the world, but some countries play volleyball a lot, quite a lot. And this is a lot of fun. Yeah, I used to play on a team at school, but I had to choose between basketball and volleyball. That was just too much. But then I also played with my friends, very regularly, regularly. Oh, wow, that's a difficult word to say in English. Rregularly. So I did, and I still would like to do that.
What else? I need to tell you that all my family is a little crazy about sport. So they are all runners. For example, my younger brother and my older sister are right now actually at a runners' camp in the mountains. Imagine that! And they get to run pretty much all the time, I suppose. But from what they tell me, this is a morning practice and an evening practice.
And in between, there are some sessions, meetings and workshops, so the time when they instruct them, how to get better at the technique, technique. And believe me or not, there is a lot of technique involved, involved, so about it. yeah, involved, a lot of technique.
Yeah, and my older brother used to swim a lot. He used to be a swimmer, and he took part, he took part in competitions, sports competitions, at school, at school, obviously. And he rides a bike a lot, he runs as well. Like my father, my mum is also very active, and my cousins, all of them. So it is very natural, natural for me to do sports.

It's summer time. It is summer at last. Well, not at last, but it's the middle of July right now. The middle of, the middle of July. So it must be summer, it must be summer time, at least in this part of the world, in this part of the world, of course.
And here is a question: What is summer best for? What is summer best for? Is it best for holidays? Yeah, sure it is, but not that. Is it best because you have a lot of rest? Yeah, a little bit, yeah, but not that. Oh, I know, I know. It is best because you get plenty of sun. Yeah, we do like the sun, but no, it's not that.
It is best because you get to do, so you have a chance to do. you get to do whatever you like, whatever you like. This is at least how I see it, so this is my opinion, I think so. I see it this way. And to be honest, I see it every year with me. And I ask myself, what do I like?
And I like languages. You just must know it by now. But what I noticed, so I saw it, I noticed, is that somewhere around summertime, every year, I get this new energy to listen, read, talk, and explore so that I can't get enough of that, I cannot get enough. Oh, I love this feeling.
Especially when I get to explore something new. And surprise, surprise, not a surprise for me, this happens regularly, I must say. So here is what happened actually.
So the other day, the other day, which in English means not long time ago, a few days ago, so the other day, I was talking to one of my students and her family lives in Portugal. And very often, actually, we were wondering, 'Hmm, how do you say this in Portuguese?' Or 'Hmm, what is this in Portuguese?' 'How do you say that in Portuguese?'
I think you know what happened next. Aha, Portuguese happened. Now I want to know everything about it. To read, to listen, to understand, to be able to say a few words, a few sentences. To know 'What is this in Portuguese?', 'What is that in Portuguese?'
And the fact that we can do that together makes it so much fun and much, much easier. So we use some materials, apps and obviously podcasts, which is an amazing help. So we focus, focus on listening and, well, trying to figure out, which means to understand, try and understand, to figure out what it really means and how it really works.
Yeah. And you know what? I have no idea where this is going. I have no idea. And people often keep asking me, so ask me a lot, a lot, keep asking me, in general about languages, but for example, Portuguese, 'Hey, Luke, you're learning Portuguese, right? Why are you doing that? Do you want to go there?' Hmm, maybe. But I'm not planning to. 'Maybe you want to work there?' Hmm, not really. I'm not thinking of that at the moment. 'So why on earth would you do that? Why on earth would you learn it?'
And I don't really know what to say and how to react because the answer is so obvious to me. The goal is not to go there or to work there or even to be able to speak fluently, fluently, so speak very well. I realized, I realized that the goal is something different.
Learning and exploring. That is the goal. That is the goal. And why? For one thing, it makes me happy, but it is also because I'm obsessed. And I'm a maniac. And I love it.

It is a good day today, it is sunny, it's a really beautiful weather, and even better was yesterday. A great day, a great day for sports, outdoors. I love it, very, very hot, but still, that's just perfect weather for me to do sports outside.
And so I did, so I did. And what happened? Well, an injury happened, injury. Do you know what it is? An injury, get injured. It happens when you do something to your body, by accident usually, when you fall down, for example, or you make a sudden, a quick, sudden movement. And that's what happened to me.
But let me tell you all about it from the beginning, from the beginning. So, I couldn't wait for the great weather to come, and so it did yesterday, and well, I was so excited to play tennis, to play tennis, but at the same time, I felt that my arm, my right arm, wasn't feeling very well. I didn't know what it was, but something was wrong with it, something was wrong.
I was not injured at the time, but I was not one hundred percent, I can say, I was not, but still, so excited that nothing could stop me, nothing. And now I'm injured. Yeah, I felt it just after I finished playing. It was a pain in my elbow, and it was getting worse and worse, so that at night, I actually woke up at night, and had to move it a little bit, move my arm a little, because it hurt so much.
And the next day, I felt that it is really bad, it is really bad. If you look at it, you can't say that something is wrong with it, but when I want to lift things, so lift, pick up heavy objects, for example, when I want to lift something, I cannot do that. And even the smallest things.
So that's an elbow injury, I suppose, and it's definitely, definitely, because of playing too much with my right hand, that's how I do that. I'm hoping for the best, but I'm also worried that I will need some treatment, treatment, and rehab after that.

I don't get injured that much, so I think it's quite normal, it happens. It's one of those things, one of those things that happen from time to time. So the plan is that I will wait and see, I will wait and see.

It's Sunday today, it's Sunday, it's beautiful, it's beautiful, but this wind, oh god, it is very, very windy. I don't know why, I have no idea. Well, how should I know? How should I know? So, what I do know, what I do know is that first, my plants don't like that, don't like that at all. And second, no tennis and no basketball outdoors today either. Life.
Either way, either way, so anyway, either way, either way, I'm having a pretty good day, a pretty good day. It's summer and Sunday after all, after all, so I should not complain about anything, but sometimes everything should be fine, but for some reason, reason, for some reason, you don't feel all that well, all that well.

Well, this is windy today. Oh my goodness. I thought I could play some basketball outside, outdoors, outside. But no, no, that's not going to happen. It is a little cold, sure, but also this is so annoying, annoying when you do that in the wind. So no, I'm not going to do that to myself today, maybe tomorrow.
Anyway, anyway, I'm here, recording, recording, and I found out, I found out, well, nothing good, actually, nothing good. My friend is going to have a surgery, surgery.
So in other words, in other words, she is going to go to a hospital and doctors are going to put her on the table, open her body and fix, fix her hip. Because this is a hip surgery.
Do you know what a hip is? Hip, hip, hip, like hip hop. No, nothing to do with music this time. Nothing to do, nothing to do with music. This is the top of your leg, of your leg that connects to your waist. Yeah, this is as close as I can explain that. So we all have two hips, the left one and the right one.
And the problem with her hip, the problem with her hip started quite a long time ago, I can remember that. So we can say she has a lot of issues, issues, so problems, issues with her hip. And first she felt uncomfortable, just uncomfortable, but then it became worse and worse so that she couldn't sleep at night. And that's a real issue when that happens.
So what do you do? Well, first of all, you take painkillers, painkillers to kill the pain, to manage the pain. And this is what she did, what she tried. A lot actually, a lot. Didn't help much, didn't help much.
So what else can you do? You can look for help. So she made a lot of appointments with a lot of doctors. She had a lot of tests on her hip and on her leg. Because it turns out, it turns out it is all connected. It's not a surprise actually that one issue is connected with another one. It's all connected.
She also tried physiotherapy, physiotherapy, so treatment on your body from a physio, from a physio, like massage and special exercises. Didn't help, didn't help unfortunately. So finally, finally after all this time, she is sure she has to have a hip surgery. There is no other way. Yeah, that's what we can say here. No other way than a surgery.
So she set the date, set the date and it will obviously take place at a hospital. It will not take a lot of time actually, around one, two hours maybe. Well, I'm not sure about that. But the day after that, after the surgery, she will have to start recovery, recovery, recovery time.
So she will have to get back to normal, get back to normal. She will stay at a hospital for a few days and then another stage, so another step, another stage will start, the rehab, rehab stage. So it means she will try and move, move her leg a lot and after a few weeks, come back to her regular activities, regular, everyday life.
Which is optimistic actually, because now she might be worried and she is, she tells me, she is in a lot of pain, in a lot of pain and she cannot live like that anymore.
But after that time of surgery, recovery and rehab, she will start a new, a new, a new life and this is very uplifting, uplifting.
So she must remember that, the good days are coming.

So I'm almost there, I'm almost there in Lisbon, in Lisbon, but still have to book the place. Oh gosh. So help me out here, help me out please. I'm down to three apartments to choose from. I'm down to three apartments to choose from and I don't know which one to choose.
Here it is, apartment number one. One bedroom, one double bed and one living room and one sofa bed over there. And that's an entire apartment for two people, that's 20 square metres.
Okay, and it is situated, situated in Lisbon City Centre, that's good. All the attractions nearby, I'm not sure about that, if all of them, but alright. That's fully equipped kitchen and modern appliances.
Alright, let me have a look. Okay, looks pretty standard, not very modern I have to say. Oh, the kitchen appliances could be a little better, looks a little old. And let's look outside. Oh, that's a wonderful view off the city, I love it. You can see red roofs from here, very nice old building, I think I love this one.
But let's have a look at apartment two. One bedroom apartment, one bedroom, large double bed and living room, sofa bed. Entire apartment, that's 25 square metres, that's enough.
Alright, and let me have a look at the pictures. Oh, the building looks very pretty. It looks definitely more modern than the previous one, more modern. All facilities, all facilities are very modern and look at this kitchen, yeah, modern appliances and the bathroom looks fantastic, very clean. Oh, I really like it there.
What are other facilities? Oh, here they are. There's lift, a lift and air conditioning. There's a coffee machine and dishwasher, everything here. It's a little more expensive, okay. And the facilities, the facilities over there include spacious kitchen, so a kitchen with a lot of space, that's cool. With all the appliances, very modern, a flat screen TV, free Wi-Fi obviously. There is a work space area here, that's very convenient, but not for holiday. And there's a balcony, which overlooks, overlooks the big square, which is quite pretty.

Also there are some kitchen appliances, so kitchen equipment, appliances, like obviously the fridge, the most important piece of furniture in your flat, the freezer where you can freeze products, there is a dishwasher here and also some smaller appliances and stuff like that.
Oh and obviously there is a small table which is a kitchen island, kitchen island in the middle, with two bar stools, bar stools to special chairs for having your daily meals. It's not that big, but it's quite convenient because it has plenty of drawers so a lot of storage space.
And now let's move on to the living room area over here. Here is a nice coffee table in the middle. Here on the left there is a nice small sofa, two seater, two seater, so far for two people, and one comfortable armchair, love this armchair, here in front, and on the right a small footstool, a footstool, so a place where you can put your feet up when you're sitting, a footstool, or ottoman, yeah.

Alright, and the last room, which is bedroom, is situated on the opposite end of the flat. It's all very light and simple. There is a big bed in the middle and two bedside tables on the sides, bedside tables, quite simple and cosy, cosy.
Here again there is a balcony door and a second balcony. It's smaller than the first one which offers plenty of shade on summer days.
Alright, that's pretty much it. Oh, there is also a bathroom, there is also a bathroom here across the hallway, with a big mirror and the wash basin in the centre part that lights up, lights up. So there is light around the mirror, which is cool. And here on the right shower and on the left the toilet obviously and also a washing machine and some cabinets for cosmetics and towels.

Well, dressed, well-dressed, well-dressed? Dressed, dressing, getting dressed, that's very, very confusing in English. It is confusing to get dressed in English, I suppose, get undressed, because you get dressed first, you get dressed, so you put on, put on your clothes and then you wear them, you wear them all day long, you take off your clothes, you get undressed and you want to dress nicely every day, every day. Very confusing, too many words and too many dresses. Dress is a very different thing.
So how about we clear this, clear this up a little, clear this up with a few personal questions?
Here we go, so question number one - do you think a lot about your outfit before you get dressed, get dressed in the morning?
So the question is very simple, I spend sometimes a little time, but mostly I try to spend as little as I can, so no I don't spend much time before I get dressed.Simple.
Question number two - do you put on special shoes around the house and do you take them off when you leave?

So get dressed, put on your shoes, wear them around the house, take them off if you want and dress casually the whole week, that's the whole story.

And I think I'm ready to get into trouble today. I think I'm ready to get into trouble because I thought, hmm, what do I talk to you about? What do I talk to you about today? Because I want to talk about clothes, about clothes.
Well, I have this little risky game, little risky gam. So it goes like that. I pick one item, a piece, an item of clothes, and I decide, is it for men? Is it for women? How about this? How about this? Let's play and let's get into trouble. With that, I'm sure I will get into a lot of trouble because of that. And that's so great, I love trouble. Let's go.
Oh, here is the first one. That's sweats, sweats, sweatshirt, or sweatpants. That's for men. Yeah, I would say that's for men. Obviously women too, but yeah, I would say that's for men. I have to, I have to, I have got to, I really have to, definitely, yeah, right now, I have to, I have to do this, I have to do that, I have to, I have to, I really, really have to. Wow, so a lot of things that I have to do, a lot of stuff.
I have to get ready for tomorrow, get ready for tomorrow. Definitely, I have to do that. I have to print, print some materials, print some materials for my students. Oh, what else, what else? I have to revise, revise, look one more time, revise my languages, my languages, I have to revise what I am learning.
Oh, I also have to eat, that's a good idea to eat, I have to eat. But not yet, not yet because I still have to, ah, yeah, I have to read those emails I got, I have to read those emails. And then, well, I have to, oh yeah, walk my dog, I have to walk my dog. I don't have to do that every day, fortunately, fortunately but today it is my turn. I have to walk the dog, and then I also have to feed him, feed him, it's a he, I have to feed him.

But now I have to do stuff.
So as my mum says, yeah, she always says, I will rest when I die, I will rest when I die. Now I have to do stuff. So I have to do stuff as well, I have to do stuff as well. Yeah, sometimes I sell, I sell things. I should sell, I should sell things. So I don't always buy stuff, but sometimes it is a good idea, it is a good idea to sell things so that you don't have too much, too much. Because, hmm, less is sometimes more, less is sometimes more, as they say, less is more. And I think so too, I think so too.
So it is a good idea to get rid of, get rid of, get rid of some items, some things. And for me it is a lot of things, I have to say, a lot of things. Probably too many, too many. Perfect.
What else can I sell? Only my things, only my things. Not other people's things, I don't do that. Probably I could sell some books, I could sell some books. I don't usually do that, I usually buy books and very often used books, used books. Because I believe this is a little, a little waste of money if you buy a new one, especially, especially when it comes to, when it comes to language books, language books, for English, for other languages.
