Keith Parker was IU’s second Black student body president and a member of the Black Panther party. During his time in office, he was approached by a local KKK leader who was an IU truck driver, investigated by the FBI’s Counter Intelligence Program and the target of frequent death threats. Vivian Bridgwaters and Keith Parker, former IU student body president and Black Panther, discuss the aftermath of the Black Market bombing in Bloomington. Vivian was a high school student in Bloomington when the shop was firebombed by two men affiliated with the Ku Klux Klan on Dec. 26, 1968. Keith was a college sophomore living in Indianapolis. Vivian Bridgwaters attended IU in the 1970s, but moved to other states for the majority of her professional life due to a lack of opportunities for Black Bloomington residents. Many of her family members, including her aunt, Frances Marshall Eagleson, the first Black female graduate of IU, were also unable to find jobs in town that met their qualifications. Loftman started at IU in 1963 and was elected student body president on the Progressive Reform Party ticket in 1967. He was a founding member of IU’s chapter of Students for a Democratic Society. Mitchell attended Arlington High School in Indianapolis starting in 1967, the first year Black students were bused there to integrate it. Elizabeth Bridgwaters grew up during segregation. She later became the first Black elected official in Bloomington as a member of the school board. IDS basketball reporters Matt Cohen, Phil Steinmetz and Caleb Coffman are back in studio after a big week of IU men's basketball. Katie, Matt, Stef and Dylan break down the latest drama, who was right and who was wrong. They look at the two strange one-on-one dates and Stef discusses the departure of his favorite contestant, Mykenna.

The Four Thorns are back in studio for a huge week of "The Bachelor." There are two episodes this week: one on Monday and one on Wednesday. Monday's episode was three hours long. It started with Alayah being sent home, followed by a trip to Costa Rica. Sydney and Kelley got one-on-one dates. New drama spiked with the women after Alayah left, as they continued to make accusations about each other to Peter.

IU men's basketball is in a three-game losing streak. It's a streak that began with a collapse against Maryland on Jan. 26 followed by two poor performances on offense. IU scored its lowest point total of the season against Penn State on Wednesday. Against Ohio State on Saturday, IU struggled with its rebounding and frontcourt play, two areas that have been strengths all season. IU doesn't play again until Saturday at home against Purdue. Between the end of "Champagne-gate," the beginning of drama between Sydney and Alayah, a one-on-one date with Victoria P. and a quite odd group date, there was no shortage of content on this week's episode.

The Old Oaken Bucket has made its way back to Bloomington for the first time since 2016. Caleb, Jack, and Will argue over how to properly prepare hotdogs, break down the bucket game and give their picks on potential bowl locations for the Hoosiers. Just remember, everything is civilized until you put ketchup on a hotdog.

It’s a party on the podcasts this week as we bring on two special guests, Theo Mackie from the Michigan Daily and Cam Drummond of the Ft. Wayne Journal Gazette.
