C14 Israel Debrief

Beyond the noise. Beyond the headlines. Israel Debrief cuts through the international media narrative to reveal what's really happening in Israel. Each episode features in-depth conversations with military leaders, geopolitical experts, and voices from Israel's heartland, exploring the stories international media won't tell. From sovereignty in Judea & Samaria to the post-October 7 reality, from biblical archaeology to security challenges, C14 asks the tough questions that matter most to Israel's future. This is Israeli perspective, unfiltered.
- 28 - Boycotts, Borders, and Wine: Inside Israel's 'Settler' Economy | C14 Israel Debrief
"When people come out here, they think it's Yellowstone." Aaron "AY" Katsof, founder and winemaker behind Settlers Winery, speaks to Sophia Tupolev about planting his vineyard in 2011 overlooking the Jordan Valley in Israel's heartland — and how he sees the business as inseparable from a larger mission: land, community, agriculture, and an unapologetic case for Jewish presence in Judea and Samaria.
Location: Settlers Winery in Esh Kodesh, Binyamin region, Israel (which you may erroneously call 'The West Bank')
As the UK and other European governments threaten sanctions on Israeli 'settlements,' Katsof argues boycotts hurt the people they claim to help first: he says 'Palestinian' workers in Israeli-owned businesses across the region earn three to four times what they'd make under the PA, with benefits — sick days, pensions — the PA doesn't offer.
Before October 7, he estimates roughly 80,000 'Palestinians' worked this way, each supporting several extended families. On the "settler" label, Katsof rejects the negative framing outright, pointing to American towns and businesses that use the word proudly — it means pioneer, not occupier.
He answers critics with an old Hebrew proverb: "when the convoy drives by, the dogs bark" — if you're moving forward, you'll draw noise, and the mistake is stopping to argue with the dogs instead of driving on. He's got a sharper line for activism from abroad, too: "boots on the ground" versus "keyboard warriors."
The conversation covers the Green Line as Katsof sees it — a 1949 armistice line, not a border, one he says most Israelis crossing it can't even locate — and the property law underneath it all: land photographed as cultivated in 1948 belongs to whoever farmed it, automatically, no deed required; everything else is state land, which is also why most 'settlements' sit on hilltops rather than valleys - there was nothing on the hilltops when they got there. He also revisits Jordan's 1970 Black September massacre, roughly 3,000 'Palestinians' killed by Jordanian forces, which he argues has been erased from 'Palestinian' memory of that era.
In 1967, Israel achieved a decisive military victory over British-backed Jordanian occupiers that had held the land since 1948. Today, Israel's heartland — 20% of the country — is home to nearly 1,000,000 Jews cultivating the land and building vineyards, agriculture, and community from it.

Sun, 20 Sep 2026 - 22min - 27 - How UK and EU Train 'Palestinian' Terrorists in Ramallah | Security & Legal Scholar Maurice Hirsch
Lieutenant Colonel Maurice Hirsch of the Jerusalem Center for Security and Foreign Affairs joins Sophia Tupolev and Asaf Nissan on the C14 Israel Debrief to break down what he calls the Palestinian Authority's transformation from a 12,000-member civilian police force under the Oslo Accords into a 70,000-strong armed body, trained in part by British, European, and American officers, even as the UK moves to sanction Israel.
Hirsch, former Director of the Military Prosecution for Judea and Samaria and architect of the Israeli law that strips citizenship from terrorists paid by the PA, lays out how foreign funding, unenforced Oslo provisions, and what he calls Israel's own incoherent policy have let this force grow unchecked.
The show covers the PA's freedom of movement inside Jewish-controlled Area C, the success of the economic pressure campaign led by Minister Smotrich, the case for how and why to cut off European funding, and why Hirsch argues the Palestinian Authority should be designated a terrorist organization outright.

U.S. Rep. Randy Fine (R-FL) joins C14's Sophia Tupolev a day after the UK announced sanctions on Israel, said to be joined by eleven other countries. Fine explains how Florida's 2018 anti-BDS law, which he authored as a state legislator, will automatically bar any company tied to a boycott of Israel from doing business in the state, and why he expects British firms to feel the pain of the impact once the sanctions take effect.Fine breaks down:How Florida's anti-BDS law works, and how it forced Airbnb to reverse a 2019 boycott decisionWhy the UK's sanctions carry a six-to-nine month delay before taking forceHow 38 US states with similar laws could compound the economic pressureWhy he expects any federal response to come from the White House rather than CongressHis work with the Sharia Free America Caucus#Israel #Florida #RandyFine #AntiBDS #C14

Thu, 20 Aug 2026 - 28min - 23 - Land, Guns, and Law Enforcement: On the Brink of Israeli Sovereignty
Across the Middle East, sovereignty has become the defining word of the year. Lebanon wants control of its land and its guns. Syria wants control of its territory and its minorities. And in Israel, one of the country's most prominent sovereignty influencers says the same three pillars apply at home: land, guns, and law enforcement.
Nadia Matar, co-founder of the Sovereignty Movement, joins Sophia Tupolev on the Israel Debrief to make her case for why nearly 60 years of military rule in Judea and Samaria should end, why she sees the Oslo Accords as a foundational mistake, and why she believes full Israeli sovereignty, not just settlement growth, is the only path to lasting security.
Watch the full conversation for her take on the 'Palestinian' Authority's military buildup, the recent shift of civilian law enforcement from the IDF to Israeli police, and what she calls the true scale of the war Israel is fighting.

Mon, 17 Aug 2026 - 28min - 22 - Investigation: The 'American' Arab Town in Israel's Heartland | Sophia Tupolev
Israel: A Muslim town of 1,500 in 1967 should have 1,800 residents today. Instead it has 8,000, and up to 90% hold American citizenship.A new Regavim investigation traces how Turmus Ayya became a hub for naturalization, birthright citizenship, and chain migration on a scale nobody in Washington has scrutinized. Two US-based 'activists' tied to the village, one photographed with Mahmoud Abbas, one flagged for praising Hamas and Hezbollah, helped shape four Senate letters and a bill with 100+ co-sponsors.The timing matters. In June the Supreme Court struck down Trump's first executive order limiting birthright citizenship. This month he signed a narrower one targeting the loopholes that ruling left open. The fight over who counts as American, and how far that status stretches, is happening right now, and this report lands right in the middle of it.It also comes as Secretary of State Marco Rubio cracks down on Islamist infiltration in the US, and days after Sen. Ted Cruz's Senate hearing, "Hidden in Plain Sight," spotlighted Muslim Brotherhood-linked networks on American soil.Regavim is calling for an immigration investigation, entry denial of the individuals named into Israel, and a FARA review in the U.S.
Sun, 16 Aug 2026 - 03min - 21 - Minister May Golan: 500M NIS for national security. The mob. Settler security belt | Sophia Tupolev
Hours after visiting Gilad Farm, the Jewish community torched in a suspected arson attack this weekend, Sophia Tupolev sits down to talk national security with Israel's Minister of Social Equality and Advancement of the Status of Women, May Golan (Likud).
Golan defends her 500 million shekel program to fight Arab organized crime, and levels an explosive accusation: that Mansour Abbas, the "real boss" of the former Bennett-Lapid government, knew a 30 billion shekel plan he controlled was funding the crime organizations behind a wave of murders in the Arab sector.
She lays out why she sees a direct line between Jewish presence in Judea and Samaria and preventing "the next October 7th," why she believes the Gaza disengagement was a mistake, and why she thinks Oslo should be canceled.
On "apartheid" claims and democratic legitimacy, Golan turns the accusation back on critics, and argues the real threat to Israeli security isn't on the ground, it's in the courthouse.

Tue, 23 Jun 2026 - 29min - 15 - Every day that they're not being pounded, a gift to Iran regime: Nat'l Security Advisor John Bolton
John Bolton, Former U.S. Ambassador to the U.N., sits down with Ben Yaniv to discuss the US-Iran negotiations, the ceasefire, the future of the Strait of Hormuz, and the limits of Trump's second-term Middle East strategy.Bolton argues that the Iranian regime is not negotiating in good faith and never has, that every day of the ceasefire is a gift to Tehran, and that the only durable path to peace and stability in the region runs through regime change.
He lays out what he believes Trump is actually optimizing for, namely gas prices at the pump and the November midterms, and explains why that political pressure is producing what looks like strategic confusion in Washington.
On the Strait of Hormuz, Bolton makes the case that the United States should seize control of the waterway, blockade Iranian oil exports while letting Arab oil flow, and break the leverage Tehran is now building. If the situation is allowed to evolve in Iran's direction, he warns, Tehran will treat the Strait like a light switch and the Gulf Arab states will live at its mercy.
On Judea and Samaria, Bolton says Gulf states are quietly telling Trump not to recognize Israeli law at this stage, and that the prospect of an expanded Abraham Accords is the reason. On the United Nations, he argues the body is now mostly a damage-control exercise, but that forcing Russia and China to cast public vetoes on Iran-related resolutions still has value in shaping world opinion.

Tue, 26 May 2026 - 34min - 13 - Mark Levin on Iran, Netanyahu's Trial, and Tucker Carlson
Mark Levin sits down with Channel 14's Lital Shemesh for a wide-ranging interview on the war with Iran, the future of the Netanyahu government, the Israeli judiciary, and the rise of antisemitism on parts of the American right.
Levin argues the Iranian regime must be destroyed, not contained, and lays out a three-part strategy: finish the military job, choke the Strait of Hormuz, and arm the Iranian people in the spirit of the Reagan Doctrine. He warns that if the regime survives, Hezbollah and Hamas survive with it, and the weakest elements of Israeli politics could ride that failure into power.
On Prime Minister Netanyahu's trial, Levin, a lawyer who sat through three and a half hours of proceedings in Tel Aviv with his wife, calls Israel's court system a laughingstock in the United States, points to former Chief Justice Aharon Barak as the architect of the damage, and says President Herzog should pardon the Prime Minister. On Tucker Carlson's appearance on Israeli Channel 13, Levin is blunt. Carlson is not a conservative, not a Republican, and has been excommunicated from the American political mainstream. Platforming him in Israel, he says, was a mistake.

Thu, 02 Apr 2026 - 26min - 8 - Jasem Aljuraid | How political Islam infiltrated Kuwait; but why it's next up for Abraham Accords
Jasem Aljuraid is a Kuwaiti political refugee now living in Canada. A former senior columnist at Al-Qabas, Aljuraid was forced to flee after advocating for peace with Israel and running for parliament on an anti-radical Islam platform. His enemies accused him of being a Mossad agent. In this conversation with Libby Alon, Jasem dismantles the conventional narrative: Kuwait doesn't see Israel as an enemy, he explains - it sees Israel as an occupier. The real colonizers, he argues, are the Arabs - who spread across 54 countries spanning North Africa, the Levant, and beyond. "Who is the colonizer?" he asks.Jasem traces how Muslim Brotherhood ideology and Saudi Wahhabism infiltrated Kuwait's once-secular society starting in the late 1970s, riding the wave of Khomeini's expansionism. He describes how Kuwait has actually faced more Iranian attacks than Israel - over 200 more - and why Iran's assault during Ramadan, a month forbidden for fighting in Islamic law, exposes the theological bankruptcy of the IRGC's ideology. On the future of the region, Jasem is direct: Kuwait is the easiest candidate to join the Abraham Accords. He points to Kuwait's new constitution project as signs of a country quietly repositioning itself. Saudi Arabia, by contrast, raises harder questions - wavering between pragmatism and ideological preservation, backing the Brotherhood in Yemen and Al-Qaeda-aligned factions in Syria. The episode closes on a personal note: Jasem's mother raised him in a home with no hate for Israel. His recent DNA test revealed Yemenite Jewish ancestry. He still can't go home, but he's helping Kuwait change from a distance, and he believes his moment is coming.
