  • 1956 - SEC Post Spring Roundup with Chris Marler, Who Impressed? Who Surprised? Who Looks a Bit Overrated?

On today's show, we are doing some post-Spring evaluations with our buddy Chris Marler, as the Spring Transfer Portal has closed - are we surprised there weren't a ton of headline names transferring schools? We get Marler's thoughts on safety Tony Mitchell leaving Alabama, Georgia adding QB Jaden Rashada & more. We also run through a few teams that pleasantly surprised us in the spring, including Arkansas with Bobby Petrino back calling plays for new QB Taylen Green, Mississippi State who has very low expectations for Jeff Lebby in Year 1 but QB Blake Shapen is good enough to pull off an upset, and Florida has a brutal schedule but still has talent on the roster with Graham Mertz and DJ Lagway. And we touch on a few teams that may be a little bit overrated heading into this season. The Texas Longhorns will be very good, but are we overlooking all the talent they just lost to the NFL Draft? Does Mizzou take a step back this season, how big will the loss of RB Cody Schrader be for them? Could we be overrating Alabama a bit in Year 1 of Kalen DeBoer, and ignoring the losses on the defense?

Also, we bring you sound from Texas Longhorns head coach Steve Sarkisian as he met with the media on Wednesday at the Touchdown Club of Houston, addressing a number of offseason topics, including how he ensures his roster doesn't drop off from last year, how he's grown as a head coach, how he handled the Transfer Portal, preparing to enter the SEC this offseason and much more!

  • 1954 - SEC Post-Spring Power Rankings Breakdown, Last Few Spring Transfer Portal Names

On today's show, as the Transfer Portal closes, we catch you up on the latest names in the portal, as Alabama safety Tony Mitchell jumps in along with Ole Miss RB Kedrick Rescano, and Texas LB Kendrick Blackshire. And Mississippi State adds to their backfield with Utah State RB Davon Booth. Also, we run through 24/7 Sports' Brad Crawford's Post-Spring SEC Power Rankings, going from 16 to 1, and how Brad ranks them, in contrast to how we would rank them. Are Georgia and Texas the two clearly best teams in the SEC? Are we too low on teams like Arkansas, Florida and South Carolina? We'll run through them all. In addition, we replay a portion of our interview with Mike Griffith of Dawg Nation as he talked about some of the Georgia guys getting drafted, while the Bulldogs haven't had the same success with defensive backs in the NFL like Alabama has, and his thoughts on expectations for Carson Beck this season and if he could be the top QB drafted in next year's NFL Draft. And lastly, a few more SEC basketball names through the portal as Arkansas is adding FAU transfer guard Johnell Davis, while Kentucky adds Oklahoma State transfer center Brandon Garrison.

  • 1953 - Transfer Portal is Closing, Bama Adds a Safety While Arkansas Loses a RB, Revenue Sharing Coming Soon?

On today's show, it's the final day to enter the Transfer Portal before it closes for good this spring. We've got the latest as Kalen DeBoer and Alabama add a safety from Charlotte in Kameron Howard, while they lose early enrollee DB Peyton Woodyard. Arkansas loses veteran running back Dominique Johnson, while Ole Miss loses WR Zakhari Franklin, and Tennessee loses DB Cristian Conyer. We also touch on the big story from ESPN that there are deep discussions relating to a legal settlement that could give revenue sharing to student athletes. It comes on the heels of an NIL antitrust class action lawsuit, and if the NCAA decides to settle, there could be a reality where schools & conferences are sharing revenue with student athletes in the very near future, with some projecting top end revenue sharing around $20 million per school. And we hit on the Transfer Portal latest with men's basketball as John Calipari and Arkansas add Tennessee big man Jonas Aidoo, Alabama closes in on Kentucky big man Ugonna Onyenso, Nate Oats gets forward Grant Nelson back for another season, and Mark Pope and Kentucky add Wake Forest's Andrew Carr.

Kentucky looks to add Michigan DB DJ Waller, while losing out on Louisville RB Peny Boone over an academic issue. We've got 2025 recruiting additions for Texas A&M, Mizzou and Ole Miss, while LSU hopes to hold on to the top WR for next season. And like every year, the SEC leads the way with the most drafted players in the NFL Draft with 59 this year, Jim Harbaugh can't beat out Kirby Smart for most players drafted in a season, and Nick Saban watches as Will Reichard gets drafted as he got a player drafted at every single position on the football field while head coach at Alabama.
