- 58 - Ciara and Lisa: Shopping Channel, Lesbian Affairs & CFR
This week on Off Air Talks, we're kicking things off the right way—with a cup of coffee and a splash of Hansen Distillery's delicious new Pumpkin Cream Liqueur. Fall has officially arrived! It's been one of our busiest weeks yet, and we're recapping an incredible stretch of events around Edmonton. Most notable was Brunch & Bubbles at Browns Socialhouse Sherwood Park, where an amazing community came together to raise more than $85,000 for CASA Mental Health. The event sparked an honest conversation about the stigma that still surrounds mental health, why so many people struggle to access support, and also segway's into talks about the heartbreaking reality of addiction and why the period immediately following treatment can be one of the most dangerous. Then we swap some unbelievable stories from our days as servers, sharing the worst customer experiences we've ever had and some of the inappropriate behaviour we dealt with from men while working in restaurants. Meanwhile, Ciara accidentally transforms into a Shopping Channel host as she proudly models a gorgeous hat from Sweet Pea & Grace Boutique before we unveil one of our biggest giveaways yet: an incredible prize package worth more than $1,000 from RejuvaDerm that one lucky listener and follower will take home. Naturally, the conversation takes another unexpected turn when we ask a question that's equal parts hilarious and thought-provoking: How would you even know if your partner was having a lesbian affair? Women often have incredibly close friendships, making for one of our funniest conversations yet. We also recap the fantastic kickoff party at Cook County Saloon for the Canadian Finals Rodeo, talk about the excitement surrounding this year's event, and make our Crystal Ball prediction on whether this could be the biggest and best CFR Edmonton has seen yet. And because no episode is complete without food, we wrap things up with a stop at Meathead, why it's become one of our favourite local spots, and why you might want to order your Thanksgiving turkey there this year. _______________________________________________________________ Sponsored by:Crystal Glass - crystalglass.ca Sorrentino's Restaurant Group - sorrentinos.group Edmonton Elks - goelks.com MeatHead - meatheadinc.ca Pro Co Painting - procopainting.ca Ciara and Lisa's hair provided by Concrete Blonde (ask for Kendra & Sahara) - concreteblondehairbody.com Ciara and Lisa's cosmetic dermatology & laser provided by RejuvaDERM - rejuvaderm.ca Studio podcast chairs custom made by Apex Upholstery and RUUM Concepts Episode lighting, cameras and editing by Grailed Media
Wed, 07 Oct 2026 - 57 - NFL Star Alex Singleton on Beating Cancer, the CFL, Broncos & Why Men need to Get Checked
Former Calgary Stampeders linebacker and current Denver Broncos star Alex Singleton joins Off Air Talks for one of his most personal interviews yet. Lisa MacGregor first covered Alex during his CFL days in Calgary before he went on to build an impressive NFL career. Now entering another season with the Broncos, Alex reflects on his football journey, his continued love for the CFL, and why Calgary will always hold a special place in his heart. The conversation also turns to one of the most difficult chapters of his life. After a routine NFL drug test revealed elevated hormone levels, doctors discovered a cancerous testicular tumour. Thanks to early detection, Alex underwent surgery and is now using his experience to encourage men to take their health seriously and not ignore warning signs. Alex also helps raise awareness about men's health, the importance of regular checkups, and why conversations like these can save lives. While testicular cancer and prostate cancer are different diseases with different screening methods, the message is the same: don't put your health on the back burner and feel yourself! Plus, we chat Broncos football, the start of a new NFL season, his journey from the CFL to the NFL, and what lies ahead this year. If this conversation encourages even one person to book a checkup or pay attention to their health, it's worth sharing.
Sat, 03 Oct 2026 - 56 - Ciara and Lisa: Adult Sleepovers, Safety Vests & Pickup Lines
This week on Off Air Talks, we're talking fall vibes, hockey season and why adult sleepovers might just be the most underrated night in or frankly what feels as good as a night out. We kick things off with an amazing afternoon at Argos Bar | Bistro, enjoying happy hour tapas, soaking up one of those perfect September days, and embracing everything we love about fall. Ciara also shares the painful story of how a relaxing steam shower turned into an unexpected third-degree burn. With hockey season officially here, we chat about the Edmonton Oilers' home opener, the bright safety vests covering the seats at Rogers Place to welcome fans back, and celebrate the arena's 10th anniversary... while also questioning whether concession prices have reached a whole new level. Then we dive into celebrity gossip after learning Lindsey Vonn is dating a man 11 years younger. Good for her! That leads us into a hilarious conversation about some of the best (and worst) pickup lines we've said. We also share our experience at an incredible hair fashion show at the Art Gallery of Alberta. Feeling nostalgic, we reminisce about the golden era of music videos and how they were once an event you couldn't wait to watch. That conversation naturally spills into one of our favourite nights in a long time—an adult sleepover with the girls filled with great conversations, movies, sushi, old music videos, laughs, and the reminder that sometimes the best nights don't involve going out at all. In Elks Files, we recap another thrilling September win over the Hamilton Tiger-Cats, talk about the team's momentum heading into the final stretch and share what's coming up next. _______________________________________________________________ Sponsored by: Crystal Glass - crystalglass.ca Sorrentino's Restaurant Group - sorrentinos.group Edmonton Elks - goelks.com MeatHead - meatheadinc.ca Pro Co Painting - procopainting.ca Lisa and Ciara's hair provided by Concrete Blonde (ask for Sahara & Kendra) - concreteblondehairbody.com Ciara and Lisa's cosmetic dermatology & laser provided by RejuvaDERM - rejuvaderm.ca Studio podcast chairs custom made by Apex Upholstery and RUUM Concepts Episode lighting, cameras and editing by Grailed Media
Wed, 30 Sep 2026 - 55 - Ciara and Lisa: Fall, 50 Episodes & Nudes
WE MADE IT TO 50 EPISODES! 🎉 This week on Off Air Talks, we're celebrating a huge milestone with candles, treats from the Italian Centre, and Ciara FINALLY back in Edmonton after her European adventure!Ciara gives us the final recap of her trip—including being recognized by Off Air Talks fans at the Rome airport—and we talk about why travelling alone, doing things by yourself, and actually enjoying your own company might be one of the best things you can do. Back in YEG, we've been busy! We recap an amazing Edmonton Chamber of Commerce Golf Tournament, Lisa hits the links again at her brother's course, The Glendale, and she got creative at Pura Botanicals making her own custom perfume. Somehow Lisa's love of sardines also makes its way into the conversation. With fall officially here, we're embracing the reset: fall cleaning, making soup, staying home, getting cozy and all the little things that make this season so good. Then we get into another WILD love story—this time involving a Reddit support group—and ask whether some of the best relationships actually start in the places you'd least expect. In **Elks Files**, we're looking ahead to Saturday's game, while the **Crystal Glass Crystal Ball** has us predicting what will be THE Halloween costume of 2026 while recapping a few questionable ones. And because it's Episode 50, naturally we end up talking about... nudes. 😂 A brilliant Martha Stewart marketing campaign gets us wondering: when you're in your 80's, would you secretly be thrilled if a tasteful photo from your younger years resurfaced? Would you wish you'd taken more? Do either of us even HAVE any? We're classy ladies, after all. Thanks for laughing, watching, listening and growing with us for 50 episodes. ❤️ Here's to the next 50! _______________________________________________________________ Sponsored by: Crystal Glass - crystalglass.ca Sorrentino's Restaurant Group - sorrentinos.group Edmonton Elks - goelks.com MeatHead - meatheadinc.ca Pro Co Painting - procopainting.ca Lisa and Ciara's hair provided by Concrete Blonde (ask for Sahara & Kendra) - concreteblondehairbody.com Ciara and Lisa's cosmetic dermatology & laser provided by RejuvaDERM - rejuvaderm.ca Studio podcast chairs custom made by Apex Upholstery and RUUM Concepts Episode lighting, cameras and editing by Grailed Media
Wed, 23 Sep 2026 - 54 - Ciara and Lisa: ZYNs, Alone Time & Oilers Controversy
Episode 49: Worldwide! 🇨🇦🇮🇹 This week on Off Air Talks, we're recording from two countries as Lisa checks in from Edmonton while Ciara joins us from beautiful Florence, Italy, fresh off her brother's unforgettable wedding in Tuscany. Of course, it wouldn't be a family wedding without a story or two. She shares how everyone, including the bride jumped in the pool and then the unbelievable tale of the entire wedding party coming down with food poisoning. Back home, we dive into one of the biggest stories in hockey: the Edmonton Oilers' controversial signing of Alex Formenton and the conversation surrounding it, plus, our Crystal Glass Crystal Ball returns with predictions on how this decision could unfold. We also recap the Elks' dominant blowout win, their impressive winning streak, and what it means as they officially punch their ticket to the CFL playoffs. Lisa recaps an incredible evening at Sorrentino's Mushroom Harvest Wine Dinner, one of our favourite local events of the year. Then both discuss why Zyn pouches seem to be throw everywhere, how vaping is catching on across Europe while traditional smoking remains a huge part of everyday life, and why Italy's slower pace, incredible food, and emphasis on enjoying life have Ciara seriously questioning whether she wants to come home. Meanwhile, Lisa shares stories from a fun week of dinners, dates, and nights out around Edmonton—including performing a rather unexpected "operation" on one of her chickens. We wrap things up by reflecting on how much we miss each other, but also how grateful we are to be able to record our podcast from opposite sides of the world. We talk about the importance of spending time on your own, embracing independence, slowing down, and giving yourself space to think, grow, and recharge. _______________________________________________________________Sponsored by: Crystal Glass - crystalglass.ca Sorrentino's Restaurant Group - sorrentinos.group Edmonton Elks - goelks.com MeatHead - meatheadinc.ca Pro Co Painting - procopainting.ca Lisa and Ciara's hair provided by Concrete Blonde (ask for Sahara & Kendra) - concreteblondehairbody.com Ciara and Lisa's cosmetic dermatology & laser provided by RejuvaDERM - rejuvaderm.ca Studio podcast chairs custom made by Apex Upholstery and RUUM Concepts Episode lighting, cameras and editing by Grailed Media

Mon, 07 Sep 2026 - 50 - Ciara and Lisa: Boots & Hearts, Overpriced Menus & Hitting Reset
We’re back from Boots and Hearts with stories! From meeting artists, festival chaos and more. We’re recapping the weekend — including Ciara’s connection to Zach McPhee from growing up and a huge thank you to Jules for lending us the camera that helped make it all happen! Halloween stores are already here, is it too soon? And after our Moose Jaw episode questioning whether men from Mannville are where it's at… we actually meet one at a golf tournament who heard about it on our recent podcast. The Nation Golf Tournament also comes into discussion about the evolution of booze and wildness at golf tourneys. We’re also talking about the absolutely insane prices popping up at bougie restaurant menus. We’re not naming and shaming, but we ARE giving some honourable mentions to the Edmonton spots where you can still go out, have a great experience and not question every life decision when the bill arrives. Plus, the Crystal Glass Crystal Ball 🔮 prediction from last week may have been right — summer isn’t over yet but are people using September as a reset?! We’re also looking ahead to Bubbles & Brunch on October 4, a special event we’re hosting in support of CASA Mental Health. Grab your tickets and come hang with us! 🥂 And speaking of things that never seem to end… construction 🚧 We get into another project coming to 121 Street and Yellowhead, connecting with St. Albert Trail, and what drivers can expect. ______________________________________________________________________ Sponsored by: Crystal Glass - crystalglass.ca Sorrentino's Restaurant Group - sorrentinos.group Edmonton Elks - goelks.com MeatHead - meatheadinc.ca Pro Co Painting - procopainting.ca Lisa and Ciara's hair provided by Concrete Blonde (ask for Calsea & Kendra) - concreteblondehairbody.com Ciara and Lisa's cosmetic dermatology & laser provided by RejuvaDERM - rejuvaderm.ca Studio podcast chairs custom made by Apex Upholstery and RUUM Concepts Episode lighting, cameras and editing by Grailed Media
Wed, 02 Sep 2026 - 49 - Ciara and Lisa: Dolly, the 90's & Cuffing Season
This week on Off Air Talks, we're talking Dolly Parton, nostalgia, seasonal dating and everything that comes with the changing of the weather. Ciara is back with a whole new look after getting 24 inches of extensions at Concrete Blonde, and she's officially Europe-ready as she prepares to celebrate her brother's wedding overseas. We take time to reflect on the incredible legacy of Dolly Parton—why she's so beloved, her unmatched songwriting, generosity, and the lasting impact she's had on country music and beyond. Then we recap our unforgettable experience at the CPKC Women's Open at Mayfair Golf & Country Club, from the tournament itself to a memorable encounter with a charming caddie, shuttle adventures, and why events like this are so much fun to experience in Edmonton. Feeling nostalgic? So are we. We dive into why the '90s and early 2000s just hit differently—from movies, growing up without smartphones to simpler times, unforgettable trends, and all the things we wish would make a comeback. Lisa also shares the exciting news of her documentary award nomination, and with summer coming to an end, we chat about back-to-school season, September resets, fresh routines, and yes... cuffing season officially being upon us. ______________________________________________________________________ Sponsored by: Crystal Glass - crystalglass.ca Sorrentino's Restaurant Group - sorrentinos.group Edmonton Elks - goelks.com MeatHead - meatheadinc.ca Pro Co Painting - procopainting.ca Lisa and Ciara's hair provided by Concrete Blonde (ask for Calsea & Kendra) - concreteblondehairbody.com Ciara and Lisa's cosmetic dermatology & laser provided by RejuvaDERM - rejuvaderm.ca Studio podcast chairs custom made by Apex Upholstery and RUUM Concepts Episode lighting, cameras and editing by Grailed Media

Episode 45 is here, and this week we're recording from two provinces! Ciara is back home in Moose Jaw while Lisa checks in from her backyard oasis, complete with a sort of thriving garden, free-range chickens, and plenty of summer updates. In Elks Files, we relive an incredible weekend as the Edmonton Elks dominated on the field. We recap the electric tailgate, the amazing fans we met, and tease some exciting behind-the-scenes content. Plus, don't miss another ticket giveaway for this weekend's Friday Night Lights Country theme game! Then it's time for the Crystal Glass Crystal Ball, where our friendly competition continues as we predict who will capture the CPKC Women's Open title in Edmonton. Will World No. 1 Nelly Korda take it? Can defending champion Brooke Henderson repeat? Or will Lydia Ko or Hannah Green steal the spotlight? More importantly... can Lisa extend her winning streak, or will Ciara finally close the gap? We also recap a weekend of highs and lows around Edmonton—from beautiful patio weather at Black Pearl and the Fairmont, to the marathon chaos that left thousands of runners frustrated amid construction and road closures. Finally, we dive into one of our favourite conversations yet: Is technology making us forget the basics? We debate whether today's generation can still read cursive, spell without autocorrect, drive a standard vehicle or read a paper map. Plus, with summer winding down, we share what's still left on our August bucket lists before the season comes to an end. ______________________________________________________________________ Sponsored by: Crystal Glass - crystalglass.ca Sorrentino's Restaurant Group - sorrentinos.group Edmonton Elks - goelks.com MeatHead - meatheadinc.ca Pro Co Painting - procopainting.ca Lisa and Ciara's hair provided by Concrete Blonde (ask for Calsea & Kendra) - concreteblondehairbody.com Ciara and Lisa's cosmetic dermatology & laser provided by RejuvaDERM - rejuvaderm.ca Studio podcast chairs custom made by Apex Upholstery and RUUM Concepts Episode lighting, cameras and editing by Grailed Media

Thu, 13 Aug 2026 - 45 - Ciara and Lisa: Sour Puss, Construction & Love is Blind
This week on Off Air Talks, we kick things off with a big thank you to our family at Concrete Blonde for the best weekly blowouts and nails in the game. We also talk about the sun finally making an appearance, enjoying Meathead burgers, soaking up the best Edmonton Folk Fest weather in years, and, of course, discovered the Funicular still wasn't working after a bike trip home. Plus, Sour Puss is making a nostalgic comeback thanks to our beloved friend and camerman Jules! We also tee-up the Bridge Physio Charity Golf Tournament, supporting the University of Alberta Golden Bears men's soccer team happening Friday, then it's on to reality TV, as Love Is Blind Canada is officially on the way. Would we ever sign up? Probably not... but Bachelorette or Farmer Wants a Wife? Now we're talking. The city was buzzing as the NHL Coaches' Conference rolled into Edmonton and the Hlinka Gretzky Cup, so the JW Marriott Lounge became the place to be. We also spotted one of our favourite sights of the weekend - many dressed up for Edmonton's Anime Convention. In Elks Files, we preview Family Day at Commonwealth, this Saturday and this weekend's tailgating festivities. We also promote the upcoming Sorrentino's Mushroom Harvest Wine Dinner, show off our new Off Air Talks letter bracelets from Finn & Co., and wrap things up with this week's Crystal Glass Crystal Ball, where we're making predictions about Edmonton's never-ending construction season. _______________________________________________________________ Sponsored by: Crystal Glass - crystalglass.ca Sorrentino's Restaurant Group - sorrentinos.group Edmonton Elks - goelks.com MeatHead - meatheadinc.ca Pro Co Painting - procopainting.ca Lisa and Ciara's hair provided by Concrete Blonde (ask for Calsea & Kendra) - concreteblondehairbody.com Ciara and Lisa's cosmetic dermatology & laser provided by RejuvaDERM - rejuvaderm.ca Studio podcast chairs custom made by Apex Upholstery and RUUM Concepts Episode lighting, cameras and editing by Grailed Media
Wed, 12 Aug 2026 - 44 - Ciara & Lisa: Big Valley Jamboree
One RV. Four days. Countless country stars. Zero sleep. This week, we’re recapping our wild adventure at Big Valley Jamboree in Camrose, Alberta. Trust us… it did not disappoint. Before we even made it to the festival grounds, we somehow found ourselves at a paint night hosted by Fletcher at A SuperRare Gallery, featuring artist Ashley O’Neil. There may have been a little too much wine for a Wednesday, but it ended up being one of the coolest experiences. Then the festival magic began out of town. We share how Canadian Camper completely saved the day with an unbelievable last-minute RV, why Hansen Distillery became our campsite MVP, and the incredibly thoughtful surprise from an Off Air Talks fan who hand-delivered cinnamon buns and perogies from Aunty Joan’s Porch Pick-Up and Goat Coffee from Camrose. There were random acts of kindness everywhere—including Kalvin from Camrose buying us a round of drinks, great visits with fans Pam then Selena and Marty, along amazing local artists we think deserve way more attention, campsite feasts thanks to Meathead, and hanging out with our buddy Jacks from CISN. Then came the festival chaos. Why couldn’t Cameron Whitcomb even land at BVJ? Keith Urban getting cancelled due to weather again and what on earth happened during Gavin Adcock’s absolutely unhinged performance that involved six beers, Jack Daniels, a shirtless crowd jump, and one of the wildest things we’ve ever heard yelled from a stage! Meanwhile… while that was happening, Lisa had her own unexpected backstage reunion with a Raya match. Plus, we look ahead to an incredible private chef experience with Chef Mike Edgar in support of the Alberta Cancer Foundation and Kimberley Homes, celebrate the Edmonton Elks’ highest attendance of the season as fans finally start believing again, and wrap things up with another Crystal Glass Crystal Ball, predicting whether Mother Nature will cooperate for this weekend’s Edmonton Folk Music Festival. _______________________________________________________________ Sponsored by: Crystal Glass - crystalglass.ca Sorrentino's Restaurant Group - sorrentinos.groupEdmonton Elks - goelks.com MeatHead - meatheadinc.ca Pro Co Painting - procopainting.ca Lisa and Ciara's hair provided by Concrete Blonde (ask for Calsea & Kendra) - concreteblondehairbody.com Ciara and Lisa's cosmetic dermatology & laser provided by RejuvaDERM - rejuvaderm.ca Studio podcast chairs custom made by Apex Upholstery and RUUM Concepts Episode lighting, cameras and editing by Grailed Media
Wed, 05 Aug 2026 - 43 - Ciara and Lisa: RV Fallout, YEG Closures & Chosen Sisters
The countdown to Big Valley Jamboree is on… and then disaster strikes. Just two days before BVJ, the RV we were counting on completely falls through, sending us into full panic mode. We kick off the episode with the chaos, the laughs, and our desperate search for a Plan B. It also inspires this week’s Crystal Glass Crystal Ball prediction: where on earth will we end up staying or in what ha?! The Edmonton Elks are absolutely rolling, and we break down their incredible run as they prepare for a rematch with the Saskatchewan Roughriders after last week’s thriller. Plus, why Commonwealth Stadium might be one of the best entertainment bargains in the city, whether you’re heading to a football game or a concert. We also dive into the heartbreaking wave of business closures happening across Edmonton. From downtown businesses struggling through construction, crime and changing conditions, to local shops devastated by recent storms and flooding, it’s a reminder that many of our favourite local businesses need our support now more than ever. Lisa and Keiko also pay one final visit to the iconic Greta Bar before it closes its doors, squeezing in one last night of ski-ball and memories at a true Edmonton favourite. Then it’s on to the lighter side as we realize something funny about our friend group: almost all of us grew up with brothers instead of sisters. Is that why we’ve become each other’s chosen sisters? We get into friendship, family, and the unique bonds that have shaped us. There's also been a bizarre theft at Sorrentino's! You'll want to stick around for that story and investigation ;) We wrap things up with more stories from Ciara’s trip home to Moose Jaw, Lisa’s whirlwind weekend around Edmonton, the wild summer weather we’ve all been dealing with, and a look ahead to everything coming up at Big Valley Jamboree. _______________________________________________________________ Sponsored by: Crystal Glass - crystalglass.ca Sorrentino's Restaurant Group - sorrentinos.group Edmonton Elks - goelks.com MeatHead - meatheadinc.ca Pro Co Painting - procopainting.ca Lisa and Ciara's hair provided by Concrete Blonde (ask for Calsea & Kendra) - concreteblondehairbody.com Ciara and Lisa's cosmetic dermatology & laser provided by RejuvaDERM - rejuvaderm.ca Studio podcast chairs custom made by Apex Upholstery and RUUM Concepts Episode lighting, cameras and editing by Grailed Media
