Eugene shares his thoughts about managing Popoy as a direct report, Dani is frustrated at Popoy too, being the bearer of red flags. Is it character redemption if Billy Crawford saved the day (and possibly their marriage)? They also ponder how much carbs you can really consume if faced with a tower of bread everyday. In this episode, Dani and Eugene may have had too much fun talking about the 2015 romcom ‘Just the Way You Are’. Eugene enumerates this movie’s endless product placements, all set in an idealized alternate reality of what the Philippines could be, while Dani unveils her surprise rating at the end (plus points possibly due to the skyscraper that was Enrique Gil's hairstyle).

Philippine cinema transports us yet again to Japan, but this time to the far-flung city of Sapporo, Hokkaido (yes, apparently you CAN travel there via bullet train from Tokyo). In this episode, we aim to dig up the reasons behind Kita Kita’s emotional appeal for being lauded as a box office hit, what the definition of a simp is, and why stalking is never a good way to get noticed by your crush. Eww, just eww.

Eugene and Dani talk a teensy bit about surviving their own long-distance relationship; while Eugene stresses the importance of key project management skills for being a responsible 'youth of the nation'. Word of the day is ‘palamunin’.

In this episode of Popoy and Basher, we finally talk about the movie that inspired the name of this podcast: One More Chance. We do a pseudo deep dive into the surface-level stuff we've been learning about psychology and attachment theory (we tried) from our favorite YouTuber, Psychology In Seattle; and conclude the episode talking about the John Lloyd Cruz hypothesis.  Oh, don't deprive your girlfriend of fried chicken skin. Just don't.

The interwebs is abuzz with Antoinette Jadaone's #MMFF2020 entry Fan Girl and with good reason. So here we are, releasing this special spoiler-free Christmas episode about Fan Girl, the best, worst, and darkest gift of 2020. We stan this film hard and recommend it "to the whole Philippine nation." Eugene (aka Budget Paulo) is serious when he says he will pay for your ticket to watch it! Do it! (and follow our accounts while you're at it :p).

In this episode we greet you ohayo gozaimasu / konnichiwa / konbanwa as we join Hazeru's escape from her Overly Kontrabida Nanay™ to the idyllic city of Saga, Japan, where she meets Adonis Anderson at a Japanese 'dampa'. Eugene-san recounts his days in Tokyo, while Dani tries her very best to contain her disdain toward this film (she really did). Starring Gerald Anderson and Julia Barretto.

We can't seem to get enough of Aga Muhlach films set in North America. Eugene laments his OFW take on "Vancouver the Movie"; Dani was not 'kilig' with the pairing of the young and vibrant Bea Alonzo and an aging Aga Muhlach. Love conquers all, as long as you have universal healthcare.

We review the feel-good 2018 Star Cinema hit "The Hows of Us", starring reel (and real) life couple Kathryn Bernardo and Daniel Padilla. Eugene thinks Amsterdam is really beautiful and Dani needs to define what trivia means.

We talk for nearly 30 mins about how much we enjoyed Antoinette Jadaone's 2019 film Alone/Together and reminisced UP life as non-UP graduates (feeling lang namin). Starring Liza Soberano and Enrique Gil.
