If you or a loved one has suffered from severe illness, you know that recovery isn’t always as joyful as it sounds. Tue, 02 Jun 2026 - 38min - 208 - The one skill you need to succeed in your career in a turbulent world - by Adam Grant | from Radio Davos
"We don't live in a stable world anymore. We live in a rapidly changing, turbulent world. And in a dynamic environment, intelligence is not just your ability to think and learn, it's your capacity to rethink and unlearn."
Adam Grant, organizational psychologist, podcaster, and author of the bestseller "Think Again", tells us why we are wrong in many of our assumptions about today's world, and why we would all benefit from tackling our own biases - not least the "I'm-not-biased" bias.
And he explains why the wrong sorts of people too often get promoted or elected to positions of power.
Adam spoke to Radio Davos at the World Economic Forum's Annual Meeting 2026 in Davos, Switzerland.

Tue, 26 May 2026 - 32min - 207 - How Adam Grant uses data and intuition to make life decisions | from WorkLife with Molly Graham
Most of us assume data-driven people make data-driven decisions. Not quite. Adam Grant has built a career helping others think more clearly — but when it comes to his own career, the most important calls he’s made didn’t have clear data behind them. So how did he decide? In this first episode of WorkLife with Molly Graham, Adam joins Molly to talk about how he actually navigates uncertainty — the four questions he asks before committing to any big project, what he calls “deliberate then dive”, and how he measures success when the numbers don’t tell the whole story.
WorkLife is a podcast from TED where host and company builder Molly Graham and her expert guests talk through the messy feelings we all experience at work. Ambition and failure, joy and burnout, confidence and self-doubt — this show digs into it all to help you build a career without losing yourself. Listen now:https://link.mgln.ai/BVK6Sn

Tue, 04 Nov 2025 - 44min - 177 - Joy Harjo on Poetry and Pursuit of the Common Good (from No Small Endeavor)
Sharing an episode of the No Small Endeavor podcast. These days, our culture is marked by political unrest, polarization and anxiety. Beauty and art feel like a luxury, or even a distraction. In a special series, No Small Endeavor is asking: What if art, beauty and poetry are exactly what we need to face the crisis at hand? Can poetry help us protest, pray, lament and even hope? Host Lee C. Camp talks to poets like Haleh Liza Gafori, a poet, musician, and acclaimed translator of the Persian poet Rumi; and Pádraig Ó Tuama, poet, theologian, and host of Poetry Unbound. Their conversations evoke thoughtfulness about how to fight for beauty in the current culture, and how to make it through the fires of our time together. In this episode, Lee talks to Joy Harjo, a musician, author, and three-term U.S. Poet Laureate. Camp and Harjo explore how poetry can act as a form of justice, a practice of self-development, and a tiny experiment in healing.

Tue, 24 Dec 2024 - 41min - 131 - Befriending your impostor syndrome with Iceland's president Halla Tómasdóttir
When Halla Tómasdóttir lost her bid for the Icelandic presidency in 2016, she wasn't sure she wanted to run again. But after battles with self-doubt, encouragement from her supporters and an epiphany about leadership, she ran again this year — and this time, she won. Halla joins Adam to discuss dealing with impostor syndrome, why leadership is worth the effort and how listening and asking questions can build trust with constituents and make you a stronger leader. The two also dig into the story behind Halla's "scarf revolution," Iceland's history of solving problems with creativity and Halla’s approach to leading her campaign — and presidency — with optimism.
