During this week's podcast we're joined by Jermaine Rhudd to discuss the exciting real estate opportunities in the beautiful island of Antigua.  Jermaine Rhudd is a Property Lawyer, Investor and Entrepreneur whose passion for real estate and fascination with technology was the inspiration behind him co-founding JMVI Realty. JMVI Realty is the Caribbean’s first property start up to use both web-based and mobile applications to promote a real Estate Marketplace and a virtual Auction House from the convenience of a smartphone. Having attained his Bachelors of Law from the University of the West Indies Cave Hill, Campus in 2010 and later reading Law at the Hugh Wooding Law School in Trinidad, Mr. Rhudd was then called to the Bar of Antigua & Barbuda in November 2012.  Mr. Rhudd then spent the next decade of his professional life practicing as a Conveyancing Attorney followed by active service with the Government of Antigua and Barbuda as the Country’s Deputy Registrar of Lands.  Armed with a wide range of Real Estate experience from both public and private sectors coupled with his Entrepreneurial pursuits in founding and managing JMVI, Jermaine Rhudd is now a household name and a go-to resource in the Real Estate space having helped hundreds with housing whether from a Legal, Governmental, Consultancy or Sales perspective. Jermaine is also a proud Rotarian and continues to give back to his Alma Mata, the St. Joseph’s Academy through service on the Board of Directors.

Selwyn is a marketing and brand strategist by profession, with more than two decades of regional and international experience in the communications and marketing industry and have been credited with multiple American Advertising Federation Awards.Selwyn has a passion for developing and driving initiatives to provide support to the regional startup community. This passion led to the creation of a business accelerator for startups, a co-working facility and innovation hub to bring entrepreneurs and corporations together in one space to work on solving industry challenges and the establishment of the Source Code Developer Academy, committed to nurturing more relevant tech talent coming out of the region.

    Welcome to another episode of the Caribbean Real Estate Podcast! Today our host and international real estate investor Dan Merriam is joined by Jamaican home contractor and builder Andre Allen. In episode 3 of the Caribbean Real Estate Podcast, Andre shares what it's like growing up in Jamaica, his start in the construction and architectural industry and how he leverages his skills to fulfil his passion for providing affordable housing solutions for Jamaicans. Andre is currently the CEO of AJAWI Construction leading a team of architects, structural engineers and quantity surveyors to curate and create world-class communities for returning residents of the Jamaican diaspora. Andre first conceptualized the AJAWI Architectural & Construction Group in the final year of his studies at the Heart Trust NTA Vocational Training Development Institute. He envisioned a company that provided architecture support to Architects, Engineers, Developers, Homeowners, and other players within the industry, both in Jamaica and across the Caribbean. Additionally, On the island of Jamaica Andre is a local celebrity and is recognized from the popular TV show The Innovators (season 5). Allen entered his small business AJAWI Construction into this small business competition and was voted the winner in 2014. Since then he's created a popular YouTube channel called AJAWI_TV where he assists returning residents to get well-needed advice on construction by industry professionals.
