- 554 - Ep544: Stop Being Controlled By Your Feelings: Exit The Lie #4
In the fourth installment of his Exit the Lie series, Jim Fortin takes on one of the most common beliefs people live by: their feelings. Emotions can influence our decisions, but that doesn’t mean they are always true. Jim explains that sometimes your feelings are more like circumstantial evidence instead of facts. He admits that they are valid, but somewhere along the way, validity became equated with accuracy. That one mix-up lets old feelings make decisions, shape self-worth, and quietly build an identity around stories that were never true. Jim walks through how feelings are made, starting with a trigger from your past. Something as simple as a partner’s look, a silent dinner, or an envelope from the IRS can start the process. He explains that the mind reaches into the past to legitimize the feeling. He shares stories about childhood dread of the principal’s office, constantly thinking that he was in trouble, and his years of dealing with depression, anxiety, and panic attacks. Each experience influenced how he approached new experiences later in life. Throughout the episode, Jim references a metaphor about a storm and the sky. He explains that the sky doesn’t take orders from the storm, just as your soul shouldn’t abide by your feelings. Listeners will learn how to feel an emotion fully without obeying it and how to start making choices from awareness instead. What You’ll Discover in This Episode: (04:50) Valid is not accurate: Jim explains why feelings deserve to be acknowledged but rarely deserve to be believed without question. (09:21) Jim shows how a tone, a silence, or a glance triggers old history, and how a call to the principal’s office taught him to assume he’d done something wrong. (13:56) Jim reveals how the mind collects evidence to justify a feeling until it hardens into an identity like “I’m not good enough.” (18:15) The sky and the storm: Jim asks who or what is noticing your feelings, and explains why that observer is your soul. (22:54) Jim describes when feelings can protect you, and how he digs beneath them before acting. (27:00) Two simple practices: Jim offers a phrase to say out loud and one question to ask in the body that help step outside the story. Listen, apply, and enjoy! Transformational Takeaway A feeling can be completely real and still be wrong about you. The tightness in your chest when the bill arrives, the sting of a partner’s silence, the old voice that says you’re not enough: each one is a storm passing through, often stirred up by something that happened decades ago. You don’t have to fight it or fix it. You only have to stop taking orders from it. The next time a strong feeling shows up, ask yourself whether it’s accurate, then notice who is asking. That noticer is the sky, and the sky has never been harmed by a storm. Let’s Connect: Instagram | Facebook | YouTube | LinkedIn LIKED THE EPISODE? Tue, 03 Nov 2026 - 553 - Ep 543: Throwback to Ep198: How Society Programs You To Be Unhappy, Broke, Overweight, Lonely And Sick!
This is an episode that I’m truly passionate about. The fact that the mainstream world is indoctrinated into mediocre and powerless thinking has long bothered me. The mainstream world keeps people unhappy, broke, overweight, lonely, and sick. Many people find this statement shocking, and they are most likely blind to what’s really happening in the world and to what is being done to them. Want a much better life? Learn to see outside all you have been mentally “fed” in your life. Transformational Takeaway Be in this world, but not of this world. Thu, 29 Oct 2026 - 552 - Ep 542: You Have Never Met Yourself: Exit The Lie #3
Your personality is unique, but what if I told you it wasn’t unintentional? The third installment of Jim Fortin’s series on exiting the human lie answers that exact question. In this episode, Jim takes on one of the most widely accepted beliefs about personality to prove that much of who we become isn’t up to us. He explains that everything around us, including family, culture, and society, molds and shapes our personalities. As Jim puts it, the person you call “me” was built by strangers. Even more compelling, he argues that a great deal of who you are today is simply what you have learned to be. He uses regional accents as an example, explaining that how we speak is directly linked to where we are in the world, just like the way we behave. There’s also the idea of the "old recording,” which Jim says comes from decades of inner training and how it comes into play when we judge ourselves. He shares the first-grade moment a teacher told him he was “just not good at math,” a label he carried until a sophomore geometry class proved otherwise. In this example, he shows why the inner critic is usually someone else’s voice and why decades of conditioning can’t fix present-day problems. Jim invites listeners to question their identity on a deeper level. He leaves them with a simple prompt asking them to get curious about who they are beneath the surface, beyond the conditioning, and under the layers of brainwashing, to meet who they really are. What You’ll Discover in This Episode: (02:49) Jim explains how the personality people call “me” was put together by others, many of whom are no longer alive. (09:10) The generational chain: Jim shows how beliefs about money, guilt, and scarcity get passed from great-grandmother to child, long after the original circumstances are gone. (15:30) Jim recalls the first-grade comment that shaped his identity for a decade, and what finally broke it. (23:13) Jim explains why people have only ever met their programming, and how mystics, shamans, and the Toltecs each named this false self. (27:12) Why the conditioning that created a problem can’t be used to escape it, and why the instructions are always on the outside of the box. (31:18) This week’s homework: Jim offers a simple practice. Every time the thought “I’m the kind of person who…” shows up, stop and ask, “Who taught me this?” Listen, apply, and enjoy! Transformational Takeaway Every “that’s just how I am” was handed over by someone else. The anxiety about money, the voice that says you’re not enough, the belief that life is hard: none of it started with you. You picked it up as a child the same way you picked up your accent, without knowing it was happening. That means it can be put down. The next time a limitation sounds like a fact about you, pause and ask who taught it to you. The one asking that question, the one who can see the programming, is the self you have never met. Tue, 27 Oct 2026 - 551 - Ep541: Throwback To Ep195: What Kind Of Animal Are You?
Are You A Turkey, Otter, Badger, Skunk, or Something Else? In all my time doing the podcast I’m surprised that I’ve never talked in depth about “Animal Medicine.” So, here you go. I was introduced to “Animal Medicine” two decades ago and I have consistently used it over the years for healing and guidance. Many of the students in my transformational program initially had not heard of it and when they start using it they become surprised at the true guidance it can help us within life. In this episode, I talk about how to use Animal Medicine and I share the various engagements I have had over the years and what that has done for me. Almost all of us humans have heard, “We’re all connected” and for most of us, it’s hard to get our mind around that. Let’s go further and it’s not just us people that are connected, all consciousness on the planet is - and that includes the animals. Animals can be incredible guides as they each have different abilities than humans and they are amazing at providing life wisdom/guidance if you just observe and learn from them. I mean, heck, your dog alone, if you have a dog. What could you learn from your dog? Specifically, most of us look at the fact that our dogs are absolutely happy all the time, even when they don’t feel well they most often wag their tails. There is so much to learn from life and in particular the animals and I dig into it in this episode. I talk about the meanings of certain animals that cross your paths and I talk about your lifetime animal totem and that’s what I mean in the headline, “What kind of animal are you?” Transformational Takeaway Let the animals in your life be your guide to higher wisdom, knowledge, and guidance. Thu, 22 Oct 2026 - 550 - Ep 540: The Illusion Of Choice: Exit The Lie #2
Most people believe they are the sole architects of their decisions. But in truth, many factors influence our choices. Whether it’s career-related or a new relationship, outside elements have a tendency to sway our thinking. In this episode, Jim breaks down a belief he calls the brainwashed script. He explains that most people follow pre-programmed prompts without even realizing it. Even when a decision feels spontaneous, he says it can be traced to early childhood moments. Using an early ‘90s children’s Tylenol commercial as an example, he explains that we are often persuaded to do something based on an idea planted in the subconscious mind. In these situations, analytical thinking goes out the window, and a decision is made solely based upon the seed planted. Jim also draws on his work as a former professional hypnotist. He notes that this tactic isn't just common in marketing. The Tylenol commercial is a prime example that shows how people react on autopilot, allowing the brain to invent a story afterward to justify their choice. He compares it to an invisible boundary that keeps the mind gated and limits what a person believes is possible. He also gets into the primary drivers of our decisions, sharing that most people rely on three main elements when choices arise, before explaining why restricting yourself and your thoughts may be the biggest lie of all. If you’ve wanted more in life but keep repeating the same patterns, this episode shows you where the invisible fence came from and how to start stepping past it. What You’ll Discover in This Episode (4:15) The liver and onions test: Jim uses a simple lunch scenario to show how people respond in a nanosecond with no conscious thought behind the choice. (7:15) Jim explains how parents, culture, and society record a psychological track that most people replay for decades without knowing it. (11:49) Jim shares research from the Max Planck Institute showing that the brain chose up to seven seconds before participants believed they were consciously choosing. (17:10) The invisible electric collar: Using his own dogs and property line, Jim describes how learned limitations act as invisible boundaries that keep people from going further in life. (20:22) Jim breaks down a short Tylenol commercial to show how marketers plant suggestions that bypass the critical, analytical mind. (23:57) The three drivers behind 99% of choices: Jim explains how fear, comfort, and repeated neural pathways make most decisions for us, and why the ego fights to keep that hidden. Listen, apply, and enjoy! Transformational Takeaway Every limitation you think you have was learned, and what was learned can be unlearned. The fence feels real only because no one ever told you it was invisible. Start noticing the moments when you react before you think, and ask who installed that choice. That simple question is where reclaiming your power begins. Let’s Connect: Instagram | Facebook | YouTube | LinkedIn LIKED THE EPISODE? Tue, 20 Oct 2026 - 549 - Ep539: Throwback To Ep193: Fear Is The Cure For Fear
Yes, you read the headline correctly. Fear is the cure for fear. Why? Because you’ll not go through fear until you go through your fear, hence, fear is the cure for itself. I could spend hours writing fancy copy explaining this episode but it’s as simple as this: Go through your fear or you’ll never go through your fear and when you go through your fear your higher essence and Spirit will be free to soar. You have probably heard before, “All the things you want are on the other side of your fear.” This is because mostly all the big things you want in life are coming from your desires which are many times coming from your spiritual essence. As long as you entertain your fear you’re going to hobble and hinder your spiritual growth. So many people who listen to my podcast would consider themselves spiritual but on the flip side of the coin, they have tremendous fears. Ask yourself, “How spiritual is it to get into fear, that which hampers my spirit?” In this episode of course I go deeper into this but it’s a short episode because when you really ponder the single phrase, Fear Is The Cure For Fear, and you come to know that, everything changes in life. Transformational Takeaway You’ll not transcend your fear until you go through your fear and it’s one of the most spiritual things that you can do. Thu, 15 Oct 2026 - 548 - Ep 538: Shatter The Illusion: Why Everything You've Learned Hasn't Set You Free: Exit The Lie #1
In this episode, Jim tackles the misconception that learning more is the key to transforming life. Yes, knowledge is powerful. But context is everything. Jim uses common vices, like smoking and dieting, to show that knowing something is wrong isn’t enough to make you change. He also explains why piling on more information only confuses you, and uses his experiences as an example. Like many people, Jim believed that knowing more leads to doing better. He read and researched to learn as much as he could, yet he was still broke and overworked. Becoming a walking encyclopedia led to nothing, and he realized that being, not knowing more, was the key. As the episode continues, Jim breaks down the idea of “decorating the cage" and explains why collecting information makes the human ego comfortable without ever freeing them from it. For his final thought, Jim shares how this understanding led to his next shift and outlines what listeners can expect as the podcast moves into its next chapter. For anyone who has learned plenty and changed very little, this episode explains why and sets the stage for what comes next. What You'll Discover in This Episode: (00:20) Jim asks why smokers, dieters, and doom scrollers keep repeating habits they already know are bad for them. (04:00) Jim revisits the familiar "know better, do better" idea and explains why he no longer believes it. (08:52) Jim describes“decorating the cage” and shows how endless reading and listening can make the cage of the ego more pleasant without opening the door. (13:12) Content versus context: Jim explains why adding information never changes the frame through which a person sees their life. (15:34) Using swimming and his own 2020 near-death experience, Jim draws the line between reading about something and living it. (19:15) Jim lays out the show's new direction and its upcoming name change to Brainwashed: Exit the Human Lie. Listen, apply, and enjoy! Transformational Takeaway Think about how much you learned in the past year. Now think about how much your life actually changed. If the gap between those two answers is wide, another book won't close it. Nobody learns to swim from a manual; they get in the water. So set the information aside for a moment and look at the frame you live from, the belief that you are only human. As Jim puts it, you were never only human. You were taught to be that. Once you see through that teaching, you can't unsee it, and that is where real change begins. Tue, 13 Oct 2026 - 547 - Ep 537: Throwback to Ep184: Living Outside All The Fear And Chaos In The World
This episode was inspired by a current student of mine. Essentially, he wrote me a note and was sharing how he’s feeling hopeless about the state of the world, the future of humanity, and the planet. I can definitely understand his fears; however, from my perspective, I’m not hopeless at all. Actually, I’m quite optimistic about the future. There are a couple of places mentally that I “work from” in life, and for this reason, the state of the world is not creating fear or reaction in me. With so much chaos in the world, millions if not more, are in fear about what the future holds. I am not one of those people. In this episode, I share the paradigm that I have worked from for years. It applies both to the state of the world and as well the relationships in my life, and even to passersby in life. I choose how I want to participate in the world, to some degree physically and to a huge degree, mentally. Perhaps when you ponder what I share in this episode, you too may find more peace and comfort in your life. Thu, 08 Oct 2026 - 546 - Ep 536: The Alchemy Of Absolute Surrender
Most people spend their lives playing defense against the world. Whether it’s health, wealth, or happiness, they’re constantly fighting to survive. That kind of battle isn’t pretty and only leads to exhaustion and hopelessness. In this episode of the Transform Your Life from the Inside Out podcast, Jim gets to the root of this behavior. He explores the spiritual concept of power and how cultural brainwashing keeps people tied to false ideas of trust, leading them to believe that they must make everything happen themselves. Drawing on his years of financial struggle and wisdom from his shaman, Jim explains that most problems stem from external circumstances and the sheer belief that they hold power over us. But what happens when we attempt to let go? As Jim notes, ending the battle isn’t easy, but continuing to fight only fuels the problem. Here, he explains why leaning into consciousness, not effort, can lead to better results. If you’re ready to stop fighting against life, this episode can be the road to reclaiming your spiritual power and peace of mind. What You'll Discover in This Episode: (04:21) Your job is not your source: Why the belief that income comes from clients, business, or a paycheck keeps people trapped in fear and lack. (07:21) Channel vs. source: How recognizing consciousness as the true source of supply ends panic when one door closes. (13:09) Fighting feeds the problem: What Mother Teresa's refusal to march against war reveals about resistance and lost power. (18:08) The power of non-resistance: How withdrawing fear and attention cuts off the energy sustaining a problem, like removing oxygen from a flame. (22:29) The brainwashed "doer": Why the personal ego can calculate and worry but can never create harmony or prosperity. (26:19) The lesson of the cut finger: A simple kitchen moment that proves infinite intelligence is already working through you without effort. Listen, apply, and enjoy! Transformational Takeaway When you cut your finger, you don't sit up all night, willing it to heal. You put on a bandage and forget about it, and by morning the healing has already begun. Life works the same way. Your problems don't need forcing to be fixed; they need less of your energy. Notice where you're gripping, gently pry your fingers loose, and let consciousness do what it has always done. Surrender isn't giving up. It's finally getting out of the way. Tue, 06 Oct 2026 - 545 - Ep 535: Throwback to Ep120: What Pertains To You In Life?
Do you finish your days mentally and emotionally exhausted? Does life wear you out? Do you feel like you have nothing left to give? If so, you’re probably expending way too much energy in life and expanding it on things that do not matter. Let me ask you this: what if you turned on every single light and electrical appliance in your house and you left it on for a month; what would your bill be? It would be outrageous, right? Well, metaphorically, that’s what many people do with both their mental energy….they expend all their energy, akin to leaving every light in the house on, and they wear themselves out. And, how do they do this, easy…they “entangle” in the energy of others, and they make a great deal of what “does not pertain to them, pertain to them,” and it’s taxing. In this episode, I talk about being selective in what you make pertain to you, and I talk about choosing to conserve your energy, your peace of mind, and your mental sanity. Listen, apply, & enjoy! Transformational Takeaway What pertains to you is what you make pertain to you. Thu, 01 Oct 2026 - 544 - Ep 534: The $11 Billion Self-Help Lie That Keeps You Trapped
In this episode of The Jim Fortin Podcast, Jim makes a bold statement about the self-help industry: It’s built to keep you coming back, not to set you free. While personal development should be the goal, Jim explains that sometimes other things take precedence. One thing in particular is boosting the ego. He explains that instead of helping you work through your issues, some programmes focus on short-lived joy. To illustrate this, Jim draws on Plato's allegory of the cave, in which people chained to the wall began to believe their shadows were real. He explains that constantly trying to fix yourself has a similar effect. However, in this case, the idea that you’re broken becomes the reality. To help listeners break free, he offers a simple mantra stating that true freedom comes from understanding that you’re not trapped and recognising the power of your own consciousness. What You'll Discover in This Episode: (00:36) The self-help trap — Jim explains why an industry built on feeling good rarely leads to deep, lasting healing. (05:49) Jim shares how a friend's response revealed that the industry thrives on repeat customers, and why his own measure of success is clients who never need to come back. (14:11) Jim uses Plato's allegory to show how most personal development simply rearranges chairs on the Titanic of the human ego. (16:20) The self-improvement paradox — Jim reveals how wanting to fix yourself telegraphs lack, prompting the universe to keep reflecting it back. (22:38) Jim explains that recognizing yourself as the awareness observing the human identity is where true power begins. (27:53) Jim invites listeners to stop fixing a story that was never theirs and simply learn to be. Listen, apply, and enjoy! Transformational Takeaway You are not your past, your trauma, your bank account, or even your name. Those are labels you learned, and every one of them keeps you searching for the next fix. The moment you stop trying to repair a story that isn't truly you, it loses its grip. There is nothing left to fix because nothing was ever broken. Today, pause and ask yourself what would change if nothing were wrong with you right now, and let that question open the door out of the cave. This episode today is really relevant to what's going on in the world right now. And it's relevant to many of you listening. This episode is about how to stop fear and worry. So if you've gotten into any fear and worry in the past week, make sure that you've listened to this episode, and you share it with your friends and family. In this episode I talk about: [7:36] How fear is the idleness of will [14:47] Why most people are terrified of Death [15:48] How everything happening in this world is temporary [20:40] What is fear? [21:58] What is worry? And, of course, a lot more, and you know that. So the way to stop fear and worry is to recognize that you're not fear and worry, and move your attention. Thu, 24 Sep 2026 - 542 - Ep 532: Do You Truly Want Freedom In Your Life?
In this episode of The Jim Fortin Podcast, Jim examines the quest for freedom and what it means to embark on that journey. He opens the discussion with a familiar story about a bishop in the deli. It was at this moment when Jim first realized how deeply people can become attached to a role or narrative. It showed him how human experiences are often confused with cosmic truth, causing people to adopt roles instead of stepping into their autonomy. Jim explains that real freedom cannot exist inside the container of the 3D ego, adding that doing so only forces you to inherit all the 3D ego’s limitations. Instead, he suggests two simple steps to determine your attachments. The first requires you to identify your fears by naming your three greatest obstacles. The second is to determine what you’re fighting to defend. The exercise reveals how attached you can be to your human identity. Its purpose is to help listeners step into their authenticity as a spiritual being. Along the way, Jim recounts his studies with the being Kyron and shares the daily practice he uses to shift his mindset from being a body trying to fix its circumstances to seeing himself as divine consciousness. For anyone ready to move beyond fixing their life and into truly knowing who they are, this episode offers a clear and challenging place to begin. What You'll Discover in This Episode: (00:11) The bishop story — Jim recalls a moment in 2017 that revealed how deeply people identify with inherited roles. (04:31) The container concept — Drawing on material from the channeled being Kyron, Jim explains that every person lives boxed in by assumptions, fears, and routines. (10:43) Religion, control, and the allegory of the cave — Jim connects Plato's allegory of the cave to organized religion and dogma. (19:49) Two questions worth asking yourself — Jim leads listeners through a short exercise naming their biggest fears and what they fight to defend. (25:40) A daily practice for transcending the container — Jim shares the exact thought he holds each morning to shift from managing his life to witnessing it as divine consciousness. (28:15) A listener's transformation — Jim reads an email from a listener whose life shifted after applying these teachings, and reflects on how many people will recognize themselves in her story. Listen, apply, and enjoy! Transformational Takeaway You are not the container you live in, and you are not the story you were taught. Every fear you carry and everything you fight to defend is simply evidence of how attached you are to a role that was never your truth. Real freedom comes from stepping back from the role and remembering that you are the consciousness witnessing it. The moment you stop trying to fix the container and begin to understand yourself as a soul, the very limitations you believed were permanent will start to fall away. Tue, 22 Sep 2026 - 541 - Ep 531: Throwback To Ep94: How Are You Managing Your Mind And Life?
What I talk about in this episode I’ve mentioned before but I talk about it here with a metaphor that hits home for everyone. Honestly, many years ago I used to read tons of books, think positively and thought that I was a good manager of my thinking, but that was far from the truth – despite my belief that it was so. In this episode I talk about: [3:16] The metaphor for the mind and thought management [4:13] The correlation between thinking and outcomes in life [5:09] Why it’s important to be careful with your thoughts [7:08] Why just “thinking positive” is not the answer [9:54] How the universe shows no mercy upon our thoughts [20:11] And, why it’s essential that you become aware of your skill to manage your thoughts. Listen, apply, and enjoy! Transformational Takeaway You’re the “foreman” of your mind, and your life is a reflection of how good of a foreman you are. Thu, 17 Sep 2026 - 540 - Ep 530: Who Says It Has To Be This Way?
In this episode of The Jim Fortin Podcast, Jim challenges listeners to stop fighting their circumstances and instead question complacency. “Look at your life and pick something that you would like to change.” It’s a simple but heavy statement. Jim explains that it’s also the sole reason why we resist change. His argument hinges on the fact that most people’s thoughts and actions are misaligned, causing them to constantly “do more” to fix their problems. However, what it boils down to is a lack of awareness of consciousness. Life doesn’t have to look a certain way, and Jim uses the metaphor of two parallel train tracks to illustrate. One track represents all the work you have to do to reach your goal, while the other represents the person you have to be to do the work. The analysis reveals that being and doing are not the same thing. More importantly, it shows how our consciousness can quietly sabotage our efforts even when we're taking all the right actions. To drive the point home, Jim refers to the classic self-help book by James Allen and a personal story from his own mentor. He uses both to explain that there is power in learning to manage your mind over your behavior. Listen in to discover why your results depend less on what you do and more on who you're being while you do it. What You'll Discover in This Episode: (00:10) The opening question — Jim asks listeners to look at something they want to change. (04:10) Fighting our circumstances — Jim breaks down why fighting without understanding life's mechanisms and a lack of conscious awareness makes change difficult. (06:28) Be, do, have — Jim revisits this foundational framework, explaining why most people skip straight to doing without ever addressing the being. (08:24) The two train tracks — Jim introduces a metaphor of two parallel tracks, one for doing and one for being, that both lead to the same desired outcome. (13:41) When being sabotages doing — Jim explains how frustration, impatience, and resentment on the "being" track can quietly undo all the progress made on the "doing" track. (17:37) Mind is the master power — Jim references James Allen's As a Man Thinketh to make the case that consciousness, not activity, is what truly shapes results. (24:31) The mentor's wisdom — Jim shares a lesson from his mentor Barry: your doing is only ever as effective as the being doing the doing. Listen, apply, and enjoy! Transformational Takeaway Most of us have learned to be excellent doers while ignoring who we are being while we do it. But activity alone cannot outrun a consciousness that is impatient or convinced something is always wrong. The moment you stop collapsing “being” and “doing” into one track, you can start managing your mind and your emotions with the same intention you bring to your to-do list. Your outer results have always been a reflection of your inner state, not the other way around. So the next time you catch yourself pushing harder without progress, pause and ask who says it has to be this way, then check which track you're actually running on. Tue, 15 Sep 2026 - 539 - Ep 529: Throwback to Ep25: Peace: The Single Biggest Thing You Want In Life
I wonder if you’ve noticed how much of your peace you give up and give away? Seemingly not a big deal but what you’re really giving up is your peace-of-mind, which is something you’ve been chasing most of your life. Pretty much everything you want in life you want it because you think it’s going to bring you peace-of-mind. The best example is money. Most likely you don’t want it just to want it, you want it because it’s going to “give” you something: security, social status, freedom and such. When you quiet your mind you become the highest version of your BEing. A quiet mind is your unlimited potential expressing itself. Transformational Takeaway You can’t do anything well without peace-of-mind. Thu, 10 Sep 2026 - 538 - Ep 528: The Illusion of Control: Why Managing Your Life Is Exhausting You
Start Your Transformation Now In this episode of The Jim Fortin Podcast, Jim explores the limitations people experience, focusing on the belief that life must be constantly managed, monitored, and controlled to keep it from falling apart. He explains that control is rarely the answer, and that forcing it only brings the kind of exhaustion most people are trying to escape. Jim describes the idea of the "invisible contract,” and how it controls most entrepreneurs and professionals. He draws on his own experience, running a company with a full staff, to break down how constant control leads to catastrophic collapse. Instead, he offers listeners a different approach, dismantling the illusion piece by piece. He asks listeners what they actually control and reveals that the universe and every living thing in it has always existed without their permission. If pedaling the bike of life has left you worn out, this episode offers a way off the bike entirely. What You'll Discover in This Episode: (03:29) The invisible contract — Jim names the unconscious agreement most high achievers live by. It explains that everything will fall apart if they stop managing everything. (11:42) The hustle culture trap — Jim explains why the belief that success requires constant struggle is backwards and how it violates the “be, do, have” model. (12:44) The cause of exhaustion — Jim explains why the effort to control life is the root of the very exhaustion people are trying to escape. (16:19) What you actually control — Jim walks listeners through the realization that they control neither the economy, the weather, their bodily processes, nor even their own thoughts. (22:31) The failure of mind management — Jim reveals how trying to fix "bad weather" in life validates the illusion of things being broken, and why spirituality is just ego in disguise. (26:08) The unmanaged life experiment — Jim offers listeners a 24-hour assignment and urges them to adopt the phrase, "I am not the manager of this moment." Listen, apply, and enjoy! Transformational Takeaway Exhaustion doesn't come from life being heavy. The real cause is the constant, low-grade effort to govern a life that was never yours to direct. Set down the role of middle manager for a day and see what happens. Use the day to observe your thoughts instead of reframing them. Observe the sensation instead of solving it, and let the universe do what it has always done. You are not the manager of this moment. Just be. Tue, 08 Sep 2026 - 537 - Ep 527: Throwback To Ep306: Set Yourself Free From Life
How often do we find ourselves ensnared by the very things we cling to for comfort and security? This episode peels back the layers of the false illusions we often find comfort in - our careers, relationships, and the societal roles we play. It challenges us to question the very fabric of our existence and what it means to live a life where we aren't imprisoned by external validations. I share stories from my own life, including lessons learned from facing heart failure and a stroke, to highlight the freedom that comes when we detach from the material and societal measures of success. These experiences have taught me that true liberation is found not in the accumulation of achievements, but in understanding and embracing the essence of our soul's journey. Join me as we explore how to navigate the illusions of life that bind us, aiming for a state of BEing that transcends the material and the mundane. We'll examine the traps of defining ourselves by our possessions, our jobs, and even our relationships, and how these attachments can lead to a life constrained by the very things we thought would free us. Listen, apply, enjoy. Transformational Takeaway Learn how to achieve true freedom through detachment from societal success measures. Thu, 03 Sep 2026 - 536 - Ep 526: The Life and Health Paradox
Start Your Transformation Now In this episode of The Jim Fortin Podcast, Jim Fortin unpacks what he calls “the life paradox,” the trap so many people fall into when they try to fix problems in their lives, such as physical conditions, lack of money, or a broken relationship. Jim uses his own 2020 health crisis, a near-fatal heart failure and stroke, as an example. With the wisdom gained from his shaman Don Javier and renowned author Anita Moorjani, he explains how personal struggle can reinforce the very brokenness you’re trying to escape. He also breaks down the frequency of perpetuating deficiency. Jim notes that desperately trying to fix the body, finances, or a relationship actually keeps people stuck in a loop. His solution for listeners is a practical three-step shift and simple technique he calls the three-minute circuit breaker. When paired, he says they will help you step out of that identity and into genuine healing. This episode is a must-listen for anyone caught in the cycle of striving, whether it's around health, money, or love, and ready to understand why letting go is often the real path forward. What You'll Discover in This Episode: (00:15) Jim introduces the life and health paradox, the idea that trying to fix the body only reinforces the belief that it's broken. (02:47) The game-changing quote from Jim's friend AJ explaining the principle that to need nothing is to have everything. (07:43) Why, as a culture, we are obsessed with fixing everything (08:57) Why desperately trying to heal, attract money, or fix a relationship actually projects lack into consciousness and keeps people stuck. (21:31) Anita Moorjani's insight that true healing means stepping completely outside the identity of the one who needs to be healed. (27:18) Jim's three-step shift: separating sensation from story, releasing the need to check for progress, and treating discomfort as background noise. (33:42) Jim’s three-minute circuit breaker: a simple practice for interrupting the fear loop and resting in stillness Listen, apply, and enjoy! Transformational Takeaway Healing rarely comes from fighting harder. It comes from stepping out of the identity of being broken. After Jim's stroke, he didn't force anything. Instead, he trusted the process and sat in silence. His story is a perfect example of how peace often arrives when we stop chasing it. We all experience moments of fear. But forcing change isn't always the answer. As Jim notes, a simple pause and reset can do wonders. You may find that what you were struggling to fix simply needs room to heal itself. Tue, 01 Sep 2026 - 535 - Ep 525: Throwback To Ep242: You Already Know The Secret
Have you ever noticed that when you cut your finger, you probably put a band-aid on it, and then you don’t think twice about it? Have you noticed that you don’t focus on healing your finger? You’re not doing self hypnosis healing, acupuncture, yoga, etc. to heal your finger. Even if it’s a bad cut that does not require stitches, you simply wrap it up, go about your tasks and forget about it. The whole point of this episode is shockingly simple and powerful, and honestly, it’s the key to all manifestation. Yes, health, a cut finger, overall wellness, money, relationships…everything. The reason you don’t focus or worry about your finger healing is because, are you ready? It’s because you already know it’s going to heal. And that is the key…the concept of ALREADY. I stumbled onto this realization by accidental observation in 2020. I had a stroke and heart failure in 2020 and today I am completely healthy and well. In this episode I talk about how a few things. I talk about where we keep our attention, what we create when we work from “need” and the power of already knowing that we can create whatever we want in life. That is a tremendous power we all have, no matter what the circumstances of your life are at the moment. When we work from needing and creating and in particular, when we place high value on what we want, even great health, we often create resistance to getting it. Why do we create resistance? Because the bigger it is the harder it seems and that is challenging for a lot of people. Transformational Takeaway How would you think, how would you feel, what would you do if you ALREADY had _____? Thu, 27 Aug 2026 - 534 - Ep 524: Being At The Mercy of the Universe
Start Your Transformation Now In this episode of The Jim Fortin Podcast, Jim explores what it means to live in what he calls "a universe of no mercy," a concept he first heard years ago from a mentor. He explains that the universe doesn't test people, it reflects them, mirroring back whatever is held in consciousness. Using a real conversation with a longtime friend whose health is declining, Jim illustrates how identifying with a circumstance, whether it's poor health, financial lack, or a struggling relationship, is what causes people to keep experiencing it. Jim breaks down why the instinct to "fix" anything, be it the body, the bank account, or a relationship, actually reinforces the belief that something is broken, creating a paradox where trying harder only digs the hole deeper. He introduces the alternative: retreating into soul consciousness and letting go of the fight altogether, using the simple example of how a cut finger heals without effort once it's left alone. Listeners are invited to notice where they've been fighting their circumstances and to consider what might shift by no longer trying to fix them. What You'll Discover in This Episode: (00:00) A universe of no mercy — Jim introduces the idea that the universe isn’t a brutal space that tests us. Instead, it reflects the frequency of our consciousness back to us. (03:30) The identity trap — Jim shares a real conversation with a longtime friend whose text, "my body is breaking down," reveals how circumstances often become your identity. Jim explains how attempting to fix perceived circumstances keeps you in a loop. (12:00) The paradox of fixing — Jim explains why trying to fix any area of life secretly projects brokenness into the universe, using the metaphor of bailing water instead of patching the hole in the boat. (14:00) The manifestation trap — Jim unpacks why even conscious manifestation efforts can backfire when the personal development industry is broken. (19:00) Getting outside the box — Jim describes the problem with manifestation and why true change requires stepping outside the brainwashing of the human ego identity rather than fighting from within it. (22:00) The way out — Jim closes with the idea that to need nothing is to have everything, and shares how healing happens when we stop trying to heal. Listen, apply, and enjoy! Transformational Takeaway The body, the bank account, and the relationship are not problems to be solved; they are containers reflecting the consciousness held within them. The moment something is declared broken, that very declaration becomes a signal sent into the universe, and the universe answers in kind. True change doesn't come from fighting harder or fixing faster. It comes from stepping back, releasing the identity of lack, and allowing the deeper wholeness that's already present to do what it naturally does. Sometimes the most powerful move isn't to fix anything at all, but to let go and let it heal itself. Mentioned Resources:Dying to Be Me by Anita Moorjani. Tue, 25 Aug 2026 - 533 - Ep 523: Throwback to Ep307: What And Where Is Your Mind?
In this episode, we explore the fascinating difference between the mind and the brain. We challenge the common belief that our mind is limited to cognitive functions and decision-making. Instead, I introduce the idea that our mind extends beyond our brain, connecting us to a universal consciousness. We discuss how the brain acts as a translator, turning the vast potential of our mind into our everyday experiences. This episode encourages you to rethink where your thoughts come from and the true power behind your ability to heal and create. Sharing personal stories, including a life-changing experience after a stroke, I show how near-death experiences can reveal the mind's capacity to operate independently from our physical bodies, highlighting its connection to a greater, divine mind. This episode invites you to reconsider how you manifest, heal, and exist. Thu, 20 Aug 2026 - 532 - Ep 522: How You Were Spiritually Mugged And How To Take Back Your Power
Start Your Transformation Now In this episode of The Jim Fortin Podcast, Jim makes the bold claim that everyone has been "spiritually mugged" before the age of seven. He explains how cultural and systematic brainwashing strip away divine authority in exchange for a corrupted "data package". He adds that this inherited package, made up of inherited fears, beliefs, and limitations, quietly defines who people think they are and what they believe they're allowed to have, keeping most people trapped in a human identity they never actually chose. Using the classic story of fleas conditioned to stop jumping after repeatedly hitting a jar's lid, Jim illustrates how early conditioning can become invisible over time, and why even the personal development industry, his own included, can unintentionally reinforce the belief that something is broken and needs fixing. Instead, he offers a different path: stepping back from the human "character" into the role of observer, and letting infinite intelligence handle what the ego insists on controlling. Listeners are invited to recognize their own data package and begin exiting the human lie that has kept them small. What You'll Discover in This Episode: (00:01) Spiritual mugging — Jim introduces the idea that everyone's consciousness was ambushed in childhood, leaving them trapped in an identity they didn't choose. (03:45) The data package and the flea jar — Jim explains how inherited beliefs work like a corrupted file, using the famous flea experiment to show how conditioning becomes self-perpetuating. (10:58) Why personal development can backfire — Jim reveals how mindset hacks and affirmations can unintentionally confirm the belief that something is wrong with you. (13:14) Anita Moorjani's wisdom — Jim shares the insight that the easiest way to heal is to need no healing at all, and how the harder we work to fix something, the more we reinforce its presence. (19:36) Becoming the observer — Jim teaches how to step outside the human identity and its dramas rather than trying to repair a character that was never truly you. (23:57) Letting infinite intelligence run the show — Using the simple example of a healing cut, Jim shows why surrendering control, rather than forcing outcomes, is the way real transformation happens. Listen, apply, and enjoy! Transformational Takeaway Every fear, limitation, and struggle carried into adulthood was handed down long before there was any ability to question it, a corrupted data package mistaken for identity. The way out isn't to work harder at fixing what feels broken. Real transformation begins the moment the human character relaxes, allowing the observer to step forward, and trusting infinite intelligence to do what the ego never could. The cut heals itself once left alone; so does everything else. Tue, 18 Aug 2026 - 531 - Ep 521: Throwback To Ep194: Who Really Cares Who Pays Attention To You?
So, let me ask you…do you get upset, angry, pouty, and bent out of shape when you feel like people are ignoring you or not paying attention to you? Be honest! Well, if you’re like most of humanity you answer yes, you do get bent out of shape when you feel like others are not listening to you and that is what this episode is about. Many years ago my mentor, a shaman, someone who I greatly admire, and truth be told, I wanted him to pay attention to me – he ignored me for a year. Yes, for a whole year he would “kindly” dismiss me and ignore me. He was not mean or cruel or even disrespectful, he just didn’t give me attention in the way that I wanted it. That was one of the most valuable years of my life because that experience taught me to let go of whether or not others paid attention to me. We get so attached to people paying attention to us and candidly, emotionally, many adults are not any better than children when we’re trying to get some attention from others. As I talk about in the episode, we definitely want attention from our partner but we want healthy attention, not attention that fills in the holes in our lack of self-esteem and self-worth. The big payoff here is that when you let go of the “need for attention” as I discuss it in this episode we then let go of attachment and when we do that we start creating more freedom and liberation in our life!
Thu, 13 Aug 2026 - 530 - Ep 520: The Anti Self-Help Approach To Life
Start Your Transformation Now In this episode of The Jim Fortin Podcast, Jim challenges the very foundation of the personal development industry, revealing why self-help so often keeps people trapped in the very patterns they're trying to escape. He explains that the moment someone tries to "fix" themselves, they are simultaneously telling the universe something is wrong with them, reinforcing the very lack they hope to overcome. Recording just days after an unexpected seizure and hospital visit, Jim speaks with rare transparency about his own health scare and uses it as a real-time example of his message: identifying with a circumstance, whether physical, emotional, or financial, is what causes people to perpetuate it. He introduces the idea of becoming the observer rather than the character, and explains why true healing comes from getting out of one's own way. Listeners are invited to stop managing and fixing their lives from ego, and instead let go into the deeper wholeness already within them. What You’ll Discover in This Episode: (00:00) The self-help paradox — Jim explains how personal development can inadvertently reinforce the belief that something is wrong with us, keeping us trapped rather than free. (02:53) A real-time example — Jim opens up about the seizure and ER visit he experienced just days before recording, and how he's applying his own teaching to the experience. (07:43) The identity trap — Jim breaks down how saying "I am sick" or "I am unhappy" turns a temporary circumstance into a fixed identity that gets perpetuated. (10:39) Becoming the observer — Jim introduces the idea of stepping outside the human "character" to recognize the deeper, universal consciousness observing it. (16:14) The radical act of non-interference — Jim shares why getting the ego out of the way, rather than trying harder to fix things, allows true transformation to occur. (18:39) Healing by letting go — Jim recalls the wisdom he learned after his 2020 stroke: the surest way to heal is to stop trying to heal. Listen, apply, and enjoy! Transformational Takeaway The body is not a broken engine to be fixed, it is simply the container being lived in for a time. Every fear, illness, or struggle is an experience, not an identity. True transformation doesn't come from working harder to improve the container, it comes from stepping back, becoming the observer, and allowing the deeper wholeness already present to come through. Sometimes the most powerful act is not to fix anything at all, but to get out of the way and let it heal itself. Let’s Connect: Instagram | Facebook | YouTube | LinkedIn LIKED THE EPISODE? Tue, 11 Aug 2026 - 529 - Ep 519: Throwback To Ep113: You’re Trapped In Your Beliefs
And, as you read the headline you may have thought, “No, I’m not trapped in my beliefs.” If you said no you’re not trapped in your beliefs and if you don’t have what you want in life then yes, you are trapped in your beliefs. This episode is not a “Rah-Rah, Believe in yourself, You can win” episode. It’s about one thing…what if, what if you didn’t have any beliefs, how would your life be different? Many years ago, my mentor said to me, “Beliefs are archaic. Beliefs are blinding, and with beliefs you have no clarity.”In this episode, I talk about what that means and I talk about a more empowering way to think about your beliefs. Beliefs…such a slippery subject because you even have beliefs about your beliefs, which I talk about in the episode. Yet, our beliefs are unconscious so they generally keep us trapped in life.Ideally, I’d love to offer you a magic wand to erase all your limiting beliefs but I don’t have that power but I do have the power to give you a new perspective on your beliefs. With everything that is happening in the world, look around, people are driven by fear, frenzy, anger, and hysteria. And, all of this is driven by beliefs. On the flip side, some people like me, and maybe you, we’re cool, relaxed, and patient. If you’re this way, you’re being driven by your beliefs. Your beliefs drive your life. What’s important in this episode is that you start realizing that your beliefs come from your identity and they unconsciously trap you, and I want you to start seeing through your old traps by asking new questions in life. Transformational Takeaway Nothing has any meaning except the meaning you give it. Let’s Connect: Instagram | Facebook | YouTube | LinkedIn LIKED THE EPISODE? Thu, 06 Aug 2026 - 528 - Ep 518: Who Are You Beneath The Brainwashing Of Your Human Story And Identity?
Start Your Transformation Now In this episode of The Jim Fortin Podcast, Jim shares one of the most personal stories he's told on the show: the near-death experience he had during a 2020 stroke, and what it revealed to him about the difference between consciousness and the identity people mistake for themselves. He explains why the awareness he touched in that experience has reshaped not only his understanding of who we are, but the direction of his own work. Jim distinguishes between the "surface identity," the body, the ego, the human story, and the deeper reality of consciousness beneath it. He explains why self-improvement keeps people trapped in an endless cycle of fixing the container, while self-recognition, knowing oneself as awareness rather than the body, is what actually dissolves fear, anxiety, and limitation at the root. Listeners are invited to question what in them remains untouched by circumstance, and to begin recognizing themselves as the awareness beneath the human identity rather than the identity itself. What You’ll Discover in This Episode: (00:00) Free will isn't free thinking — Jim reminds listeners they are spiritual beings having a human experience, and that fear and anxiety signal operating from ego rather than soul. (03:50) A near-death experience reframed — Jim describes the stroke that briefly took him out of his body in 2020, and the awareness of "nothingness" he's only now come to understand. (10:30) Surface identity versus deeper reality — Jim explains why self-improvement keeps people chasing a better container, while transformation comes from recognizing consciousness itself. (15:53) Identity creates limitation — Jim shows how identifying as the body means inheriting its fears and limitations, citing people who transcend disability by refusing to identify with it. (19:11) Why Jim stepped away from TCP — Jim opens up about ending his signature coaching program, since fixing the ego container isn't true transformation. (25:30) The question beneath the story — Jim leaves listeners with a simple practice: asking what in them remains untouched by circumstance. Listen, apply, and enjoy! Transformational Takeaway Every fear, worry, and limitation carried in life belongs to the container, not to the self. The body is not who a person is, it is simply what a person lives in. Beneath the human story and the human identity is a deeper awareness, untouched by circumstance and unshaken by the world. Recognizing that awareness, rather than trying to fix or improve the container, is where real transformation begins. Let’s Connect: Instagram | Facebook | YouTube | LinkedIn LIKED THE EPISODE? Thu, 30 Jul 2026 - 526 - Ep 516: Why You Have Free Will, But You're Not A Free Thinker
Start Your Transformation Now In this episode of The Jim Fortin Podcast, Jim dismantles a belief most people never question: that having free will makes them a free thinker. He reveals how identity, goals, fears, and limitations are installed early in life — long before a person is old enough to consent to them — and shows how this "brainwashing" quietly directs choices people believe are entirely their own. Using the metaphor of a smartphone loaded with pre-installed apps, Jim illustrates how culture, parents, and early environment download default programs into the mind by around age seven. He distinguishes this work from traditional subconscious reprogramming, explaining that real freedom comes not from managing the brainwashing but from transcending the identity it was built on. Listeners are invited to question where their choices really come from — and to consider what it would mean to exit the illusion entirely rather than simply rearrange it. What You’ll Discover in This Episode: (00:00) Free will isn't free thinking — Jim introduces the episode's central paradox: having the ability to choose doesn't mean your choices are actually your own. (02:54) Your limitations were given to you — Jim explains how identifying with a limitation ("I am broke," "I am stuck") keeps a person trapped in something that was never truly theirs. (05:45) Brainwashing is salesmanship, not just coercion — Jim redefines brainwashing using the smartphone metaphor, showing how default "apps" from childhood shape identity without consent. (09:12) The sleepwalker's pride — Jim reveals how what feels like free choice, like an attraction to a certain home, is often just early programming playing out unnoticed. (12:04) Transcendence, not transformation — Jim describes moving his work beyond fixing the ego to helping people recognize themselves as consciousness rather than the human identity. (18:00) You're a hostage to the body, not your circumstances — Jim reframes the real prison as the belief that a person is the container they walk around in, not their external life situation. Listen, apply, and enjoy! Transformational Takeaway Every limitation carried in life, financial, physical, relational, was installed, not chosen. True freedom doesn't come from managing or rearranging those programs; it comes from recognizing them as brainwashing and stepping beyond the identity that holds them in place. The self was never the container. It was always the consciousness within it. Everything else remains unchanged. Let’s Connect: Instagram | Facebook | YouTube | LinkedIn LIKED THE EPISODE? Tue, 28 Jul 2026 - 525 - Ep 515: Throwback To Ep49: Using Your Subconscious Mind To Tap Into Who You Need To BE To Create The Life Of Your Dreams
Start Your Transformation Now You’ve heard me talk about the power of dreamtime and using your subconscious mind to problem solve and in this episode I go further and talk about how to make dreamtime work even better for you. Relative to “who you need to be,” I’m often asked….“Jim, if I’ve never been a millionaire before, what ways would I need to be in my mind to make it happen?” Even when I give people ideas, they many times struggle finding the right way of being to help them create the life they want. So….in this episode I talk about:[1:57] Of course, about dreamtime[7:39] A recapitulation of the fact that your identity drives you[15:19] Who you have to be to have the exact experience of life that you want[15:40] Your primary and secondary identity[26:04] Why I trust dreamtime guidance more than my analytical mindAnd, the specific question you can ask your unconscious mind for deeper understanding. As well, I talk about “setting your intention” to maximize your mind’s direction during dreamtime. Not only do I talk about asking your subconscious mind for assistance, I go deeper and share how to ensure your answers come to you. Listen, apply, and enjoy! Thu, 23 Jul 2026 - 524 - Ep 514: Who Told You That You Are a Body?
Start Your Transformation Now In this episode of The Jim Fortin Podcast, Jim challenges one of the most basic assumptions people carry: that they are their bodies. He asks listeners to ponder a simple but destabilizing question — who told you that you are a body? — and reveals how every limitation a person experiences, from health fears to financial lack, traces back to this single point of identification. Jim unpacks how conditioning from parents, culture, science, and society trains people from childhood to identify as the body rather than as the awareness inhabiting it. Using examples like family-inherited illness and Angelina Jolie's preventative mastectomy, he shows how this identification keeps people trapped in the body's limitations — and offers a series of deliberate questions designed to shift that identity toward consciousness, life, and source instead. Listeners are invited to sit with each question Jim poses and let a lifetime of body-based conditioning begin to loosen its grip. What You’ll Discover in This Episode: (00:00) Who told you that you are a body? — Jim opens with the central question of the episode, introducing the idea that the body is only a container, not the true self. (02:57) Change starts with awareness, not effort — Jim explains that focusing on "fixing" yourself keeps you trapped in the identity you're trying to leave, and that real change begins with a shift in awareness. (05:52) Your body is only an assumption — Jim breaks down how what you believe about your body, including inherited illness or limitation, is conditioning rather than truth. (08:48) The body is a container, not you — Jim introduces the core distinction between the body as vehicle and the life force, soul, and awareness that inhabits it. (12:12) Life doesn't need the body — Jim explains that consciousness is the cause and the body is the effect, and that identifying as life instead of body dissolves the limitations tied to illness, fear, and lack. (17:53) You are not confined to the body — Jim explores how consciousness isn't limited to physical space, touching on dream time, astral travel, and remote viewing as evidence. Listen, apply, and enjoy! Transformational Takeaway Every fear, illness, and limitation a person carries exists because they've identified as the body rather than as the life animating it. The body is simply the vehicle; the truth is consciousness, awareness, life itself. Letting that identification shift — even slightly — is where real freedom begins. Start Your Transformation Now Are you one of those people who believe that money and spirituality are incompatible? Do you believe it’s OK to make money and be rich? As you know, I’m a “spiritualist” and I’ve also learned that one of the most powerful things we can do for the world is to become rich, then use that as a tool and we can better the world. In this episode, I have a guest, James Wedmore, and he’s a good friend. Not only that, but his business also attracted $9.4 million dollars last year.In this episode, we talk about Spirituality, Business, and Prosperity, and specifically, we talk about guiding principles that have helped him to become financially successful. James is very spiritual and he lets his spiritualism guide him in business. I do the same, and working from this place has been financially good for both of us. Thu, 16 Jul 2026 - 522 - Ep 512: Why Taking Sides Is A Huge Source of Inner Conflict
Start Your Transformation Now In this episode of The Jim Fortin Podcast, Jim explores why conflict isn't something that exists "out there" in the world, but is instead created the moment a person takes a side. He argues that all division — political, religious, personal — is a product of the human ego identifying with a single, limited interpretation of reality, and that true peace only returns when a person stops defending a position and remembers themselves as consciousness rather than the body or the belief. Jim illustrates this with a personal story about getting scammed by a fake towing company, his upbringing around fundamentalist preachers in Texas, and a Coca-Cola versus Pepsi metaphor he uses to describe "mastering neutrality." He also examines how this same dynamic shows up in parenting, where trying to control or judge a adult child's choices is really just another form of taking sides. This episode offers listeners a practical way to recognize when they've fallen into righteousness or division — and how to return to peace instead. What You’ll Discover in This Episode: (00:00) Where conflict actually comes from — Jim explains that disharmony isn't a lack of peace in the world; it exists because people don't know themselves as source rather than ego. (07:38) Why institutions divide — Jim points to preachers, politicians, money, and religion as forces that split humanity by disguising ego and dogma as morality. (11:02) The Coke and Pepsi metaphor — Jim introduces "mastering neutrality," showing that both sides of any argument are simply two versions of the same illusion. (13:53) Whatever you fight weakens you — Using a Mother Teresa quote and Wayne Dyer's tree metaphor, Jim reveals how opposing anything grants it power and traps a person in conflict. (20:00) Why the "correct side" winning never brings peace — Jim challenges the belief that healing the world means making one side win, and reframes what true unity requires. (27:45) Peace as a realization, not a result — Jim closes with the truth that divine mind has never been divided or taken a side, and neither should the listener. Listen, apply, and enjoy! Transformational Takeaway Every time a person declares one side right and the other wrong, they step out of consciousness and into the ego's illusion of division. Peace was never meant to come from winning an argument or fixing the world outside — it comes from remembering that the listener, at their core, is the same undivided source as everyone they're tempted to oppose. Letting go of the need to be right isn't weakness; it's the doorway back to harmony. Let’s Connect: Instagram | Facebook | YouTube | LinkedIn LIKED THE EPISODE? Tue, 14 Jul 2026 - 521 - Ep511: Throwback To Ep110: This Is Your Greatest Advisor
Start Your Transformation Now You’re already thinking, “What is my greatest advisor?” Let me get to the point and be blunt, your own death is your greatest advisor. We, humans, spend a large part of our lives avoiding the one thing that is inevitable in our lives, our own transition of the planet, or what we call death. The truth is this, when we embrace the totality of our being and we accept our “death” we can then use it as our “life advisor” and we can use it to understand what’s important to us and how best to live our lives. Most of us persist in seeing our lives from the smallest “part” of ourselves and that keeps us blind. Listen, apply, and enjoy! Transformational Takeaway How would your ascension advise you? Thu, 09 Jul 2026 - 520 - Ep 510: How You're Brainwashed Like A North Korean And You Don't Even Know It
Start Your Transformation Now In this episode of The Jim Fortin Podcast, Jim opens a new series comparing North Korea's overt, state-mandated ideological conditioning — its real "Ten Principles for the Establishment of a Monolithic Ideological System" — to the covert brainwashing many Westerners experience through consumerism, nationalism, and religion. The difference, he argues, isn't whether brainwashing exists, but how visibly it's enforced. Jim details North Korean practices like mandatory portrait care and weekly self-criticism, then shows how Western consumerism and the need to feel "good enough" condition people just as thoroughly, only without coercion. His goal: separating listeners' true identity — their consciousness — from the conditioned "container" of the body and ego. This first episode in a multi-part series is an essential starting point for anyone ready to question who they really are. What You’ll Discover in This Episode: (00:00) The hidden link between North Korea and the West — Jim reveals that the only real difference between a brainwashed North Korean citizen and most Westerners is the name and method of the conditioning. (05:18) Who gave you your thoughts? — Jim challenges listeners to question who actually taught them their fears, preferences, and even their own name. (14:31) Inside North Korea's Ten Principles — Jim details real mechanisms like mandatory portrait care and weekly self-criticism as a mirror for subtler Western conditioning. (19:49) Consumerism as covert brainwashing — Jim traces his own teenage desire for Polo shirts to a culture that uses advertising to convince people they're incomplete. (28:22) Who chose your reality? — Using a scene from The Devil Wears Prada, Jim shows how decisions we believe are our own were often shaped long before we could choose them. (30:17) You are consciousness first — Jim reveals the series' foundational truth: listeners are consciousness that inhabits a body, not a body that has consciousness. Listen, apply, and enjoy! Transformational Takeaway Most of us believe we are free-thinking, autonomous beings, but the truth is that nearly every thought, preference, and fear we carry was downloaded into us by family, media, culture, and society long before we were old enough to question it. Recognizing this isn't a cause for despair — it's the first step toward real freedom. The body is a container, conditioned and shaped by the world around it, but the listener is not that container; they are the consciousness, the life force, that inhabits it. Reclaiming that truth is where authentic power begins. Let’s Connect: Instagram | Facebook | YouTube | LinkedIn LIKED THE EPISODE? Thu, 02 Jul 2026 - 518 - Ep 508: You Have No Birth Date
Start Your Transformation Now In this episode of The Jim Fortin Podcast, Jim explores a provocative idea: the listener has no birth date. While the body has an incarnation date, the soul — the true source of power — never dies and therefore was never born. Jim explains that most people live exclusively from their 3D, mechanistic identity, completely disconnected from the continuous soul-consciousness that is the actual source of all power, peace, and creation. Jim unpacks why chasing external power — money, status, recognition — is an outdated model of consciousness that is rapidly collapsing as humanity evolves into higher levels of awareness. He reveals the single word that secretly sabotages most people's ability to create what they want, and offers a radically different way to relate to desire itself. This episode challenges listeners to stop chasing and start remembering who they truly are. What You’ll Discover in This Episode: (00:00) You have no birth date — Jim introduces the central idea that while the body has an incarnation date, the soul is continuous and was never born, and explains why this is the seat of true power. (03:24) Continual vs. continuous — Jim distinguishes between the body's continual, repeating incarnations and the soul's continuous, unbroken existence, and why identifying with soul changes everything. (10:13) There is no point A and point B — Jim dismantles the manifestation myth that separates a person from their desire, using the metaphor of a small wave and a big wave both being made of the same substance. (15:56) Old power structures are crumbling — Jim explains why external forms of power (money, politics, status) are an outdated 3D model collapsing as consciousness evolves into a 5D paradigm. (23:15) The hidden danger of "I need" — Jim reveals how the word "need" instantly creates separation from the thinking substance that creates all things, and why this keeps people stuck. (27:10) To need nothing is to have everything — Jim shares the epiphany that anything available to others is available to the listener, and closes with a final truth meant to be felt rather than analyzed. Listen, apply, and enjoy! Transformational Takeaway The body has a birth date, but the soul does not — and remembering this is where real power begins. Most people sabotage their own desires by living from "I need," a word that instantly creates separation from the one substance that all things, including the listener, are made of. There is no point A and point B, no chasing, no struggling to close a gap that was never truly there. The invitation in this episode is simple but profound: stop relating to life from need, and start relating to it from wholeness. To need nothing is to have everything. Tue, 30 Jun 2026 - 517 - Ep 507: Throwback To Ep29: Why Are You On The Planet?
Start Your Transformation Now Have you ever asked yourself why you’re on this planet? I don’t mean “what is your purpose while you’re on the planet, but the bigger question is…why on this planet? I attempt in this episode to get you to start thinking from a much higher perspective about the nature of your existence here on Earth. Most people search for a lifetime looking for their “purpose,” and they spend their life like a dog chasing his tail looking for this answer. When people think about their purpose, they are mostly thinking about how that gives their life meaning relative to others, but have you ever thought about the bigger cosmic purpose of you coming to this planet? In this episode I talk about:[4:12] How most people see life only in the context of time on the planet[5:39] How do you grow and evolve beyond your perceived time here?[7:09] How we are all born into a world that traps us in a small reality[11:53] Where is your predominant focus on your life right now?[17:27] And, the two biggest reasons you are on this planet. The point of this whole episode is this. Are you living fully into the duality of self and have you evolved into someone who lives from the higher value, meaning and purpose of your cosmic self or have you lived for the sustenance and convenience of your 3D ego? Listen, apply, and enjoy! Transformational Takeaway Do you live to serve and make the world a better place and do you live to serve and EVOLVE your higher self as much as you can? Thu, 25 Jun 2026 - 516 - Ep 506: How Amazon and Henry David Thoreau Can Help Deliver Your Dreams
Start Your Transformation Now In this episode of The Jim Fortin Podcast, Jim draws on an unexpected pairing — Henry David Thoreau's timeless wisdom and the mechanics of Amazon's fulfillment system — to reveal why most people never advance confidently in the direction of their dreams. The culprit isn't a lack of ambition or effort — it's the deeply ingrained belief that one must know how to create an outcome before taking the first step. Jim illustrates how the moment someone clicks "buy now" on Amazon, they hand the process over to an intelligent system they don't understand, and trust it completely. Yet when it comes to their own desires, most people do the opposite — worrying, strategizing, and attempting to micromanage a delivery they were never meant to orchestrate. This episode offers a paradigm shift that could change everything — and a single affirmation listeners can begin habituating today. What You’ll Discover in This Episode: (00:00) The Thoreau challenge — Jim opens with Henry David Thoreau's call to advance confidently in the direction of one's dreams, and poses the central question of the episode: why don't most people actually do it? (02:53) The real reason dreams stall — Jim identifies the core obstacle: not knowing how to create a desired outcome. When people can't see the path, they stop moving — and this episode dismantles that pattern entirely. (06:18) The Amazon metaphor — Jim uses the mechanics of ordering on Amazon to show how effortlessly people trust an invisible, complex system to deliver results — and why they should extend that same trust to the universe. (10:36) Stop micromanaging the delivery — Jim humorously illustrates what it would look like to try to control every step of an Amazon delivery, making plain how absurd — and counterproductive — it is to do the same thing when pursuing a life goal. (15:06) It's not your job to know how — Jim shares his own shift from being "the king of how" to trusting that the universe is far more capable of orchestrating outcomes than the analytical mind ever could be. (22:17) Action + trust, not action + worry — Jim explains why taking physical action while simultaneously worrying and strategizing cancels out results, and what it looks like to act from a place of aligned consciousness instead. Listen, apply, and enjoy! Transformational Takeaway Most people abandon their desires not because the dream is too big, but because they can't see the path and have mistakenly made it their job to map every step. The universe doesn't need help figuring out how to deliver — it only needs to know what is wanted. Jim offers this affirmation to begin habituating: I do not know how [my desire] will come, and that is fine with me. The universe has channels I cannot see, and I am open to all of them. Tue, 23 Jun 2026 - 515 - Ep505: Throwback To Ep109: An STD Just For You
Start Your Transformation Now OK, OK, so you read the headline and you were probably thinking, “Jim, what the heck is wrong with you?” I totally get it and I don’t want you to have the kind of STD that most people dread, I want you to have another kind, well, the acronym with the letters – STD. What does STD stand for? Easy: Surrender, Trust and No Doubt and that’s the topic this week. In this episode I talk about:[1:16] What my definition of surrender, trust and doubt are[4:23] How control is woven into not wanting to surrender[5:19] Your greatest cause of unhappiness[7:30] Accepting what “is” in life[8:37] The energy waste of “fighting” one’s self[19:08] Allowing yourself to trust your unconscious mind[24:58] Why you can trust your unconscious mind and the universe[33:02] Trusting all is well and not doubting yourself[35:45] And, letting go of the illusion of control I’ve never been a “control freak,” per se but I used to get into my share of control, and it’s toxic and debilitating. You probably already know that it’s just a complete energy drain and it exhausts you. In this episode, it’s my intent to ask you to take a look at yourself and to look at the ways you’re trapped in control and maybe don’t even know it. When you live from the paradigm I propose in this episode, STD, life becomes so much easier and free. Listen, apply, and enjoy! Transformational Takeaway Control is an illusion and when you get into the illusion of control you are controlled by the illusion of control. Thu, 18 Jun 2026 - 514 - Ep 504: Separation Is The Cause Of Your Pain
Start Your Transformation Now In this episode of The Jim Fortin Podcast, Jim explores one of the most overlooked truths behind human suffering: the belief that we are separate from source. He unpacks how centuries of conditioning have led most people to operate as mechanical beings — doing things to create outcomes — rather than recognizing themselves as the consciousness that is the source of all creation. Whether it is money, love, or health, the struggle to achieve these things stems not from lack of effort, but from a fundamental misidentification of who and what we truly are. Jim traces this separation from René Descartes' mechanistic worldview to childhood lessons about earning and doing, showing how deeply the belief that we must work to deserve is wired into the human psyche. He also draws a sharp distinction between dogmatic religion, which reinforces separation from the divine, and the direct knowing that each person is not a human having spiritual experiences, but infinite consciousness inhabiting a human form. This episode is an invitation to stop trying to be human and start recognizing the truth: you are source, you are consciousness, and everything you are seeking is not something to attract — it is something you already are. What You’ll Discover in This Episode: (00:00) The origin of pain — Jim connects the pain of money, loneliness, and health to a single root cause: the belief in separation from source, and why most people never close that gap despite intellectually agreeing we are all one. (02:44) Descartes and the mechanistic lie — Jim traces how René Descartes' mechanistic worldview conditioned humanity to operate as doing machines, separating action from consciousness and setting the stage for a life of polarity and struggle. (06:06) Consciousness vs. mechanical behavior — Jim explains why effort alone rarely produces the desired results, and how the real issue is the mismatch between what someone is doing and the consciousness they carry while doing it. (09:31) The brainwashing of religion and childhood — From Southern Baptist fire-and-brimstone to a dime earned cleaning flower beds at age five, Jim illustrates how early conditioning and institutional religion quietly sever people from their true identity as source. (15:19) You are not human — you are consciousness — Jim makes the case that most people have it backwards: they believe they are humans with consciousness, when in truth they are infinite consciousness that has taken on a human form — and that distinction changes everything. (20:12) The transformational question — Jim closes with a powerful question to sit with: What would be true if I were pure consciousness having this human experience? — inviting listeners to explore it not analytically, but as a felt, living awareness. Listen, apply, and enjoy! Transformational Takeaway You are not a human being trying to find God, abundance, or peace. You are consciousness — infinite, whole, and complete — temporarily inhabiting a human form. Every struggle and every painful pattern traces back to the moment we forget that truth and begin identifying with the container instead of the consciousness within it. Stop trying to be human. Start recognizing yourself as source. Sit with the question Jim offers, let it move beyond the analytical mind, and allow the awareness to settle in. That shift — from doing to being — is where transformation actually begins. Let’s Connect: Instagram | Facebook | YouTube | LinkedIn LIKED THE EPISODE? Tue, 16 Jun 2026 - 513 - Ep 503: Throwback To Ep91: Your Life Has No Meaning, Except…
Start Your Transformation Now No matter what happens to you, it has no meaning except the meaning that you give it. The very same thing can happen to two different people and it’s obvious that each person will give it a different meaning…and reaction/response.The concept isn’t new however, so few people live by the power of this concept. In this episode I talk about:[1:18] Various scenarios that each of us give different meaning to[4:09] Why you give everything meaning[6:05] The fact that you’re a “meaning-making machine”[7:57] The implications of living from external meanings[9:25] When people are judging you they are simply giving meaning to you[15:48] What it means when people “die”[21:46] Why good/bad meanings lead to indecision And, like I say in every episode synopsis…a lot more. This concept has the absolute power to literally transform your life, yet, we have to integrate this concept and start working from it. This concept will set you free from the ups and downs of life. Thu, 11 Jun 2026 - 512 - Ep 502: Escaping Practical Attachment
Start Your Transformation Now In this episode of The Jim Fortin Podcast, Jim explores the concept of practical attachment — not as an abstract spiritual idea, but as a very real, everyday force that quietly steals joy and peace of mind. Inspired by his own experience of packing up and moving on from the stunning Sedona home he spent 39 months building, Jim takes listeners on a journey through the many forms of attachment: possessions, relationships, jobs, success, identity, and even deeply held beliefs about reality. The Buddha once said that the root of suffering is attachment, and Jim makes that truth impossible to ignore by grounding it in ordinary life. From designer clothing and Rolex watches to soul-sucking jobs and controlling relationships with adult children, Jim walks through the subtle and not-so-subtle ways people cling to things — not because of the things themselves, but because of the meaning and identity they project onto them. He shares personal stories, including the half-million-dollar loss he accepted without hesitation to finally move on, his brother's intentionally homeless life, and what it felt like to live at both ends of the financial spectrum. The real insight emerges: attachment is not about the object — it is about the energy spent protecting what we believe defines us. If there is anything in life causing unhappiness, there is an attachment hiding beneath it — and this episode is the invitation to find it. What You’ll Discover in This Episode: (00:00) The root of suffering — Jim opens by framing attachment not as a spiritual buzzword but as a practical, everyday pattern, challenging listeners to honestly ask: what am I actually attached to, and how much is it costing me? (08:46) Attachment to things — From homes and cars to designer clothes and family heirlooms, Jim explores how we attach to physical possessions and the emotional weight that comes with protecting them, even long after they are gone. (15:04) Attachment to people and relationships — Jim examines how attachment to partners, children, and even adult kids can quietly become a form of control — and how one TCP student's breakthrough came when she finally released her grip on her 23- and 24-year-old children. (19:43) Attachment to jobs, fear, and identity — Jim unpacks why people stay in miserable jobs, how attachment to success and achievement is really about what others will think, and why peace of mind must rank above all other currencies. (26:59) Attachment to beliefs and ideology — From MAGA to money to self-importance, Jim explains how the more we are attached to an idea, the more we must defend it — and how mistaking our perceptions for ultimate reality is one of the greatest sources of inner conflict. (30:00) The transformational reframe — Jim closes with a grounding reminder: we are born with nothing, we own nothing, and any lack of happiness is a signal pointing directly to an attachment waiting to be examined and released. Listen, apply, and enjoy! Transformational Takeaway You were born with nothing — and in truth, you own nothing. Every possession, relationship, job, and belief you cling to becomes a source of suffering the moment you mistake it for your identity. Attachment is not just about things. It is about what you have decided those things say about you. When you stop and ask, "What am I attached to right now?" — especially in moments of unhappiness or fear — you take back the one thing no possession can ever give you: peace of mind. That is the ultimate currency. The moment you can release your grip, even just a little, is the moment life stops being a prison and starts becoming a journey you are actually free to enjoy. Tue, 09 Jun 2026 - 511 - Ep 501: Throwback To Ep132: Five Random Thoughts To Change Your Life – Volume 3
Start Your Transformation Now Here’s another in the “Five Random Thoughts” Series. OK, full transparency, I was pressed for time this weekend and traveling so I put another random thought episode, and given the feedback, it appears many of you guys are loving these. So, the five random thoughts this week are:1) When you run your life by emotions you’ll find yourself in the ditch.I used to find that it was hard for me to follow through and one of my coaches pointed out, “You don’t follow through with your commitments because when your feelings change so do your commitments.” This was a huge life-altering ah-ha moment. And, if you’re not following through in life perhaps you are the same as I once was? 2) Your life is this way or that way because you tell yourself life is this way or that way.Life is a reflection of you. Kahlil Gibran once said, “Words are but simple dripping from the mind.” So, how do you tell yourself that “life is.” Exactly as you tell yourself will be your experience of life! 3) Mastery Is repetition and sacrificeThese are all simple and this one is as simple as the others but so simple many of us miss. What have you “mastered” in life? We live in a world of mediocrity and most of us have “mastered” little. Most of us just get by in life. The title is obvious, to create mastery in anything it requires repetition, and most of us get that yet what most of us don’t like is that it also requires sacrifice. For everything in life, there is a price. And to be masterful at anything you must pay the price for it. 4) Changing your life is very simple but requires devotionChange is easy. Becoming who you are now was not hard. You didn’t fight to become who you ARE, you learned it. Like the last random thought, you become who you are with repetition. It’s EASY to do most things with repetition and where and what is your repetition? 5) If I don’t have humbleness I lose everything. It took me MANY years to get this. I got it when I tried to quote what I was taught. “The common man is hooked to other men, the spiritual warrior is hooked to infinity. “ MEANING: If I lose mySELF in my ego and I then am not humble I then lose “who” I am, which is a spiritual being. There is obviously a lot more and humbleness is not thinking less of yourself, it’s thinking of yourself less. And, it requires that you place you either above or below anyone. Listen, apply, and enjoy! Transformational Takeaway 1) When you run your life by your emotions you’ll find yourself in the ditch. 2) Your life is “this way” or “that way” because you tell yourself life is this way or that way. 3) Mastery is repetition and sacrifice. 4) Changing your life is very simple but requires devotion. 5) If I don’t have humbleness I lose everything. Thu, 04 Jun 2026 - 510 - Ep 500: How To Cure Your Money, Health, And Life Challenges
Start Your Transformation Now Most people absorb personal growth content with genuine desire to change — yet the moment they stop listening, they slip right back into the same patterns, the same struggles, and the same quiet belief that something is fundamentally wrong with them. Jim Fortin has heard it countless times: I must be broken. This just doesn't work for me. In this episode, Jim dismantles that belief entirely. The problem is never the person — it is the direction. Nearly everyone is approaching life from the outside in, trying to fix visible problems with visible solutions, and wondering why nothing sticks. Jim draws on decades of coaching and his own personal history with money and health challenges to explain why the cure for what ails us — financially, physically, relationally — cannot be found in the 3D world. The body is not who you are. Your bank account is not who you are. These are conditions being experienced by a soul temporarily housed in a human form, and when you misidentify yourself as the condition, you stay trapped inside it. The real shift happens when you stop fighting what's wrong and start opening to the divine consciousness that has never once been sick, broke, afraid, or broken. You are not damaged goods. You have simply been looking in the wrong direction. It is time to turn around. What You’ll Discover in This Episode: (01:26) The outside-in trap — Why most people keep repeating the same struggles despite consuming endless books, programs, and motivation, and how misidentifying with the body locks you into its limitations. (04:23) You are not your body — Jim reframes the common language of illness and lack, explaining that saying "I have rheumatoid arthritis" or "I have no money" keeps the soul trapped inside a 3D identity that was never the full truth of who you are. (07:19) The part of you that has never been broken — There is a dimension of you — your soul, your consciousness — that has never been sick, never been afraid, and never been touched by any illness or lack. Jim challenges listeners to think and identify from that place instead. (11:44) The three-minute morning practice — A simple, practical protocol Jim learned from a shaman: sit quietly, breathe, and gently hold the sentence I am open to being loved by something greater than my fear — no forcing, no agenda, just openness. (15:55) Why silence is the cure — Using the analogy of cutting a finger and simply putting on a bandage, Jim illustrates how healing flows naturally when we stop the noise of analyzing, fixing, and fearing — and step into the quiet space where divine mind can be heard. (19:43) You are not alone — Referencing the parable of Footprints in the Sand, Jim reminds listeners that the same consciousness carrying every breath they take is fully capable of handling money, health, relationships, and everything else they are struggling to control. Listen, apply, and enjoy! Transformational Takeaway You are not broken — and you never were. The money challenges, the health struggles, the loneliness — these are not evidence of a flawed soul. They are evidence of a soul that has been looking outward for answers that can only be found within. Your soul has never been sick, never been broke, never once been touched by fear or limitation. When you stop fighting the condition and start opening — just three quiet minutes a day, no agenda, no expectation — you create the space for divine consciousness to move. Like rain soaking into the ground, you don't have to force it. You only have to stop blocking it. That is the cure — just the willingness to remember what you actually are. Tue, 02 Jun 2026 - 509 - Ep 499: Throwback To Ep124: The Seven Cosmic Laws
Start Your Transformation Now These days all kinds of “spiritual authors” have all kinds of books about “spiritual laws.” However, most people mix and match “laws” that tend to validate their model of reality. In this episode I quickly cover the “Seven Cosmic Laws” brought to the world by Hermes Tresmegistus and though the laws were just published around 100 years ago, the manuscript is believed to be over 10,000 years old. These are the laws that govern as laws and as you’re listening to this episode you’ll find two things: one, it will be obvious why your life has unfolded in the way that it has and secondly, you’ll start to see just how powerful you are. The Seven Cosmic Laws are known as Hermetic Wisdom and in this episode I lay out all seven for you.The Laws…1. The Principle of Mentalism:The All is mind; The Universe is Mental.2. The Principle of Correspondence:As above, so below; as below, so above. As within, as without; as without, so within.3. The Principle of Vibration:Nothing rests; Everything moves; Everything vibrates.4. The Principle of Polarity:Everything is dual; Everything has poles; Everything has its pair of opposites; Like and unlike are the same;Opposites are identical in nature, but different in degree; Extremes meet; All truths are but half-truths;All paradoxes may be reconciled.6. The Principle of Rhythm:Everything flows, out and in; Everything has its tides; All things rise and fall; The pendulum swing manifests in everything; The measure of the swing to the right is the measure of the swing to the left; Rhythm compensates.7. The Principle of Cause & Effect:Every cause has its effect; Every effect has its cause; Everything happens according to law’ Chance is but a name for law not recognized’ There are many planes of causation, but nothing escapes the law.8. The Principle of Gender:Gender is in everything; Everything has its masculine and feminine principles; Gender manifests on all planes. Listen, apply, and enjoy! Transformational Takeaway Our lives are governed by cosmic laws and when we know these laws we then have the “scepter of power.” Mentioned Resources: The Kybalion The Secret Of The Ages by Robert Collier Episode 9: How The Law Of Attraction Repels The Money And Abundance You Want Disclosure: Some of the links above are affiliate links, meaning, at no additional cost to you, I will earn a small commission if you make a purchase. Thu, 28 May 2026 - 508 - Ep 498: Why Your Fear Is Unnatural
Start Your Transformation Now Fear is not who you are, it is what you have been taught. In this episode of The Jim Fortin Podcast, Jim dismantles one of the most deeply held illusions people carry: that fear is natural and unavoidable. Through vivid examples, from the moment of birth to decades of economic conditioning absorbed at the dinner table, Jim makes it undeniable that the fears running most people's lives were never theirs to begin with. They were handed down through media, culture, and a world obsessed with scarcity. And the reason these fears feel so real is because they have been running unquestioned for so long. Jim draws a clear distinction between managing fear and transcending it. The real issue is forgetting. Forgetting who and what you truly are. When someone loses that connection to source, they automatically slip into victimhood, competition, and the grinding weight of what Jim calls a "beast of burden." That is not the human condition. That is the conditioned human. You are not broken. You have simply forgotten. And it is time to remember. What You’ll Discover in This Episode: (02:15) The illusion behind every fear — The fears people carry about money, health, and collapse are not reality but imaginary threats — hallucinations born from inherited conditioning that most people have never stopped to question. (07:18) You were born trusting — then taught to fear — Jim uses the image of an infant in the birth canal to illustrate that fear is a learned behavior, not a built-in one, and that the natural human state is deep trust and knowing. (13:34) The media machine feeding your anxiety — Daily consumption of news and social media conditions the brain into perpetual anxiety — and why Jim personally stepped away from most of it entirely. (20:06) Source is greater than any obstacle — The soul — not the body or personality — is the ultimate power in any situation, and recognizing yourself as a reflection of source changes the entire framework through which you experience fear. (27:31) It is not about managing fear — it is about knowing yourself out of it — Fear is not a problem to be fixed. It is a symptom of forgetting, and the only true solution is reconnecting to who you really are. (31:26) The seven-day detox challenge — A full seven-day fast from news, social media, and all negativity inputs, designed to clear the space so that the voice of source can finally be heard again. Listen, apply, and enjoy! Transformational Takeaway The fears you carry were never yours. They were absorbed in childhood, amplified by media, and repeated so many times they came to feel like truth. But a fever is not your natural state. When it breaks, the body returns to health automatically, because health was always there. The same is true of you. You are not a small, struggling human fighting for scraps. You are the intelligence of the universe. The same source that beats your heart and heals every wound without a single conscious thought. The moment you stop consuming the world's narratives and reconnect to source, the fear does not need to be managed. It simply has nowhere left to live. Start Your Transformation Now In this episode, you’re not going to get some “rah rah” motivational advice to perform at your highest. Instead, you’ll learn that living your highest potential is not external, it’s internal. It’s all about quieting the mind and mastering your silence. When you stop your internal dialogue you become so much more powerful and when you quiet the internal noise you create silence of mind, and that’s where the answers come. In this episode I discuss:Why mastering your silence is the answer to finding your highest potentialExternal silence vs internal silence (and why we need both)How to quiet your mind by using a variety of different techniques (Download PDF for a list of resources) When you learn to stop talking to yourself, ANYTHING becomes possible for you. Thu, 21 May 2026 - 506 - Ep 496: You Were Born Into A Life Experience You Didn't Create pt. 2
Start Your Transformation Now Picking up directly from Part 1, Jim Fortin goes deeper into the conditioning that has quietly shaped everything people believe about themselves. Through striking examples — from North Korea's culture of total indoctrination to a Ku Klux Klan grandmother holding her grandchild — Jim makes it undeniable: the beliefs, fears, and limitations most people carry were absorbed before they ever had the capacity to question them. Whether it is money, relationships, health, or identity, what feels like personal truth is almost always inherited — a map someone else drew that has been steering the course of an entire life. Jim challenges listeners to see themselves as a marionette whose strings were attached at birth — and to start asking who has been pulling them. Rather than a small, struggling being grinding through life alone, every person is universal intelligence expressing itself in human form. The real work is not hustle or strategy — it is consciousness. And the first crack in the prison wall begins the moment someone realizes they are not the hand, not the body, but the awareness running through it. If you have ever wondered why effort alone never seems to be enough, this episode offers the answer most people have never been given. Listen closely. What You’ll Discover in This Episode: (02:24) You inherited a map you never drew — How beliefs about money, religion, race, and relationships are absorbed automatically in childhood, leaving most people navigating their entire lives through someone else's version of reality. (05:47) The fish that doesn't know it's in water — Why the most dangerous conditioning is the kind that feels completely natural, and how the inability to see the brainwashing is itself proof that it worked. (09:09) Your healing power was taken from you — How society's conditioning around illness and medicine has disconnected people from the body's innate ability to heal — and why Jim tuned out his own doctors after his 2020 heart failure and stroke. (15:51) Rich people dream of staying rich, poor people dream of staying poor — How the financial reality a person is born into becomes the subconscious blueprint they keep recreating — and what it takes to break the cycle. (22:15) The universe is doing the heavy lifting — you've been brainwashed to forget it — Why the belief that you must struggle alone is itself the conditioning, and how reconnecting with universal intelligence is what actually returns your power. (25:11) You are not the body — you are the awareness of it — The identity shift that changes everything: recognizing that the "I" inside you is not the physical container, but the consciousness running through it. Listen, apply, and enjoy! Transformational Takeaway Everything you have been told about who you are, what you can heal, what you can earn, and how hard life has to be — that was someone else's story. You were handed a map you didn't draw and have been following it your whole life. The fears are learned. The limits are inherited. The struggle is conditioning, not law. You are not a small being fighting to survive — you are the intelligence of the universe expressed in human form, the same intelligence that beats your heart and heals a cut without a single conscious thought. The moment you stop identifying with the body and recognize yourself as the awareness within it, your power begins to return. Tue, 19 May 2026 - 505 - Ep 495: Throwback To Ep188: Welcome Into My World With A Shaman Sorcerer
Start Your Transformation Now I was thinking a few weeks ago, “What do I want to talk about this week on the podcast?” and I had a flood of ideas and topics pop into my mind and none of them were calling to me at that time and I thought, “So many people ask about spirituality, why don’t I dig further into and talk about my experiences with a shaman?” So, in this episode, I pull the curtain back a bit and share one of my most memorable experiences with a shaman/sorcerer. I could share many of these but that would be overwhelming so it’s better to just start with one and we’ll see how it goes. What I’m sharing in this podcast is a non-ordinary event and at the very least an event that may be a good story if nothing else. More than anything, my intention with this episode is to get you to start thinking about the world of the non-ordinary and the world that exists that you cannot physically observe with your sight or sound. My intention is to get you to really start thinking about the power you wield as a “cosmic being.” Think about the world of physics, energy, and what’s real and not real. Science shows that we can only observe about 3% of what exists on the electromagnetic spectrum which means we miss most of like and what’s available to us. Perhaps this episode can get you to start thinking about the world and your world of the non-ordinary and what’s really all around you. Listen, apply, and enjoy! Thu, 14 May 2026 - 504 - Ep 494: You Were Born Into A Life Experience You Didn't Create
Start Your Transformation Now In this episode of The Jim Fortin Podcast, Jim Fortin delivers an unflinching look at a truth most people never stop to examine, that the life they are living was not one they consciously chose. Drawing on decades of work in subconscious transformation, Jim makes the case that every belief a person holds about who they are, what they deserve, and what is possible was handed to them before they could ever question it. From family and religion to government, media, and the school system, Jim breaks down how every major institution has a vested interest in keeping people small, compliant, and dependent. Using the striking example of North Korea, where citizens are so conditioned they don't recognize they are living in a prison. Jim draws a direct parallel to the invisible walls most people in the Western world inhabit without ever seeing. The most dangerous prison, he argues, is the one with no walls at all. And the deepest form of this conditioning isn't political or religious — it is ontological. It is the lie that you are a small, limited physical being, when the truth of who you are is something far more vast than you have ever been allowed to believe. If you have ever felt stuck without knowing exactly why, this conversation is where understanding begins. Listen closely. What You’ll Discover in This Episode: (01:53) You were born into a story you didn't write — How the beliefs and limitations most people carry were already running before they took their first breath, inherited from family, culture, and institutions they never chose. (05:52) The most dangerous prison has no walls — Why the conditioning that keeps people trapped is invisible from the inside, and how defending the very system that brainwashed you is one of its most telling signs. (09:46) The illusions keeping you trapped were engineered — How governments, religions, corporations, and media share a common interest in keeping people obedient, dependent, and cut off from their own sovereign power. (17:56) The most damaging brainwashing is ontological — Why the deepest lie is about the very nature of your being, and how you were conditioned to believe you are far smaller than you actually are. (26:06) The core lie that keeps you playing small — Why every major system runs on one central belief that you are small, and why escaping it requires awareness, not techniques. Listen, apply, and enjoy! Transformational Takeaway You did not choose the story you were handed. The beliefs running your life — about money, your body, what you deserve, and what is possible — were given to you by systems that needed you to stay small. That is not your truth. It never was. The work is not to fight the brainwashing or shame yourself for having been in it — every single one of us has been. The work is simply to become aware of it. Because the moment you can see the prison, you are already standing outside of it. Let’s Connect: Instagram | Facebook | YouTube | LinkedIn LIKED THE EPISODE? Tue, 12 May 2026 - 503 - Ep 493: Throwback to Ep106: How To Have Peace of Mind In The Chaos All Around You
Start Your Transformation Now How To Have Peace of Mind In The Chaos All Around…that’s huge right? I mean,it would be amazing. And, I want you to know, it’s possible. I’ve decided to change the content format of the podcast. I want to bring a more “spiritual” approach to the podcast and I start that this week. (Bear with me as I fumble a bit trying to find my content and delivery style for this new approach.) In this episode, I talk about how to have peace of mind in the midst of what’s happening in the world and I approach it from a “spiritual” aspect. In this episode I talk about:[11:47] How all the fear in the world is all “3D ego”[15:47] Reinforcement of the Be Do Have theme in the podcast and look at your BEing[21:15] How you’re responding to the world[22:50] What you’re learning about yourself in the world in the midst of this all[26:17] Taking advantage of the change in the world[27:32] Shamanism and letting a part of your ego “die”[29:15] Leaving your old life and routines for a new life[31:16] Letting your old “reality” die And, overall, I talk about who you have to be and what you have to do to cultivate POM (Peace of Mind) through this huge life transition we’re all going through. Listen, apply, and enjoy! As I’m shifting content and thinking about what I want to share, again, bear with me and overall this whole episode is about you leaving the old you behind you as the result of this global situation. Transformational Takeaway Without fear you have POM. Let’s Connect:Instagram | Facebook | YouTube | LinkedIn LIKED THE EPISODE? Thu, 07 May 2026 - 502 - Ep 492: Eliminating The Illusion Of Fear
Start Your Transformation Now In this episode of The Jim Fortin Podcast, Jim Fortin reveals a perspective on fear that most people have never considered — one that doesn't require techniques, hacks, or willpower. Drawing on decades of work with his shaman mentor Don Javier, Jim makes the case that everything most people do to fight fear — affirmations, breathing exercises, reframing, even sheer determination — is the very thing keeping fear alive. The real problem, he argues, isn't fear itself. It's the illusion that fear is real. Jim breaks down why fear has no place in the present moment, why it is always a story about a future that hasn't happened and likely never will, and why resisting fear is like throwing gasoline on a fire. From the neuroscience of the amygdala to ancient Buddhist wisdom, Jim draws a clear and practical distinction between being consumed by fear and simply observing it — and explains why that single shift changes everything. This episode doesn't offer a better way to fight fear. It offers something far more powerful: a way to see through it entirely. Listen closely. What You’ll Discover in This Episode: (03:51) Fear lives in the future, not the present — Why fear almost never exists in the actual present moment and how most people are unknowingly living now from something that hasn't happened yet. (08:16) Most of what you fear will never come to pass — The sobering truth that the vast majority of things people catastrophize about never materialize, and why suffering through fear is always optional. (10:12) Fear is a story, not a fact — How recognizing fear as a self-generated narrative — rather than an objective reality — is the moment it begins to lose its grip on you. (13:07) Why techniques and hacks make fear worse — The neuroscientific reason that fighting fear through tools and strategies actually amplifies it, and what Jim calls the resistance trap. (17:21) Observation dissolves what resistance amplifies — The Buddhist practice of naming and witnessing fear as an outside observer, rather than being consumed by it, and why this creates genuine freedom. (29:26) Surrender is not weakness — it's the only way out — Why accepting what is in the present moment, rather than trying to control an outcome that can never be guaranteed, is the true path to eliminating fear for good. Listen, apply, and enjoy! Transformational Takeaway Fear is not your enemy — it is a story your mind has been telling you so convincingly that you forgot it was a story at all. Every fear you carry is a thought about the future, lived as if it were a fact right now. And the harder you fight it, the more real it becomes. The way out is not force — it is observation, surrender, and the quiet recognition that right now, in this breath, you are okay. The next time fear comes knocking, name it. Recognize it as a story. You are not the fear. You are the awareness watching it arise — and that is exactly where your freedom lives. Let’s Connect: Instagram | Facebook | YouTube | LinkedIn LIKED THE EPISODE? Tue, 05 May 2026 - 501 - Ep 491: Throwback To Ep119: (Attention) Please “Get It” About Money
Start Your Transformation Now Money, money, money…it’s what 80% of my listeners struggle with and it’s the thing that’s easiest to attract, really. So, at least 80% of you can relate to my opening line and the rest are either doing “OK” or well and would like to do better. Thu, 30 Apr 2026 - 500 - Ep 490: What The Hopi Knew, And What It Means For You Right Now
Start Your Transformation Now In this episode of The Jim Fortin Podcast, Jim Fortin explores the ancient wisdom of the Hopi people and its startling relevance to the world unfolding right now. Drawing from a personal conversation with his shaman mentor Don Javier—sparked by the appearance of Atlas, a rare interstellar object—Jim unpacks centuries-old Hopi prophecies that describe exactly the kind of world we are living in today: materialistic, imperialistic, and spiritually unmoored. Far from a doomsday warning, these prophecies are, as Jim frames them, a map—patterns that ancient peoples observed, documented, and passed down to guide future generations. Jim traces humanity's journey through four worlds, each destroyed by the collective disregard for spiritual teachings, and zeroes in on the Hopi's most critical teaching for this moment: the choice between the path of two hearts and the path of one heart. The two hearts path—the upper path—is the zigzag of chasing money, ego, and external identity. The one heart path—the lower path—is the path of divine essence, peace, love, and stewardship of the earth. Every ancient prophecy Jim references, from Nostradamus to Edgar Cayce to Baba Vanga, converges on this same crossroads humanity faces right now, in 2026. This is not a moment for passivity. It is, as Jim calls it, go time—not in a frantic way, but in a deeply intentional, spiritually grounded way. Listen closely. What You’ll Discover in This Episode: (02:53) The Hopi: peaceful stewards of consciousness — How the Hopi built an entire culture around a single purpose: maintaining balance with the earth and with consciousness itself. (05:47) Two worlds diverging right now — Humanity is splitting into two distinct paths—one driven by money, ego, and greed, and the other by heart, soul, and spiritual stewardship—and both are visible in the world today. (09:09) The fourth world and the patterns we keep repeating — How the Hopi described our current world as ruthless and materialistic, and why ancient prophecies from Cayce, Nostradamus, and Baba Vanga all point to this same moment in history. (14:58) The Hopi's two paths for the end of the fourth world — A closer look at the upper path (two hearts) and the lower path (one heart), and why outsourcing your identity to material things keeps you in disharmony with the energies shifting on the planet. (17:53) Purification, not annihilation—and why now is go time — The Hopi were not predicting destruction; they were prophesying purification, and why spiritual evolution is the most urgent work any of us can do right now. (20:50) The fifth world is an inner state available to you today — The next world the Hopi envisioned isn't a geographic destination—it's a consciousness that becomes accessible the moment you choose the path of one heart. Listen, apply, and enjoy! Transformational Takeaway The Hopi knew. Across centuries, they mapped the patterns of human civilization and left a clear message for this exact moment: the world does not change until the individual does. You are standing at the crossroads of two paths—one leading outward toward noise, hustle, and identity built from status and distraction; the other leading inward toward soul, peace, and consciousness that helps heal the planet. You don't have to renounce the material world. You simply have to stop letting it define you. The fifth world isn't coming someday. It is available right now, in the next choice you make. In this episode I dig deeper and take a look at your life’s purpose from a much higher perspective. For most people, they have never thought in this way. They’ve never expanded the level from which they see and experience their lives. In this episode I talk about:[5:38] “Where you’re living from”[9:59] Looking at your life in a bigger context[10:45] Why your purpose is internal and not external[13:28] Why your external purpose is not your real purpose[24:54] And, how working from your highest potential will help you connect with your real purpose Listen, apply, and enjoy! Thu, 23 Apr 2026 - 498 - Ep 488: How to Believe It Before You See It
Start Your Transformation Now In this episode of The Jim Fortin Podcast, Jim Fortin explores one of the most powerful and overlooked truths about how reality is actually created: the invisible always precedes the visible. Using examples from the Wright brothers to everyday farmers planting seeds, Jim makes the case that everything in the physical world — money, health, relationships — begins as an invisible declaration made in the mind, long before it ever shows up as evidence in the external world. The real question isn't whether you have the ability to create what you want — it's whether your declarations are working for you or against you. Most people live by the motto "I'll believe it when I see it," unknowingly trapping themselves in a cycle where they can only affirm what already exists. Jim challenges this deeply ingrained habit head-on, explaining that saying "I want" something is simultaneously a declaration to the universe that you do not have it — and the universe simply delivers on that declaration. The episode reframes the concept of "having" entirely: what you declare, you speak into existence. If you've been waiting for visible proof before allowing yourself to believe something is possible, this episode will permanently shift the way you think about your own power to create. What You'll Discover in This Episode: (00:00) Why "I'll believe it when I see it" keeps you stuck — Jim opens with the foundational truth that invisible precedes visible, and explains why waiting for evidence before believing is the very thing that prevents what you want from ever appearing. (09:11) Your declarations are creating your life — Jim reveals that everything you have is a direct reflection of what you've declared yourself to have, and that most people unknowingly broadcast lack to the universe on a constant loop. (15:00) You already have access to infinite supply — Jim explains that you are part of the same universal consciousness that contains everything, meaning the abundance you seek already belongs to you — you're simply not tuned into it. (20:54) The shift from "wanting" to "having" — Jim demonstrates the energetic and neurological difference between declaring "I want" versus "I have," and why working from the emotional state of having is the key to changing your reality. (27:12) The six-peg declaration practice — Jim teaches a repeatable exercise using five known truisms plus one object of desire to train the brain to accept the invisible as real and elevate frequency in the process. (34:00) Declare it, then leave it alone — Once you speak your intention as truth, trust the universe to handle the how — just as a farmer plants a seed knowing the crop will come. Listen, apply, and enjoy! Transformational Takeaway Everything you have in your life is the result of what you have declared yourself to have. And everything you don't yet have is simply invisible — not absent. You've been broadcasting from lack and want, and the universe has been delivering exactly that. So declare differently. Speak your life into existence from supply, not scarcity. Say "I have" with the same certainty you feel knowing you have a roof over your head. Declare your five truisms, add the sixth, then leave it alone — because the moment you plant the seed and walk away, you're already telling the universe you believe the crop is coming. Tue, 21 Apr 2026 - 497 - Ep 487: Throwback To Ep22: Q & A – Would You Say It’s Best To Look At Things As They Are Or How You Want Them To Be?
Start Your Transformation Now I answer this question in two parts because it can be answered two ways.First, one of the biggest causes of unhappiness is that people refuse to accept life as it is at the moment. Most people are living in the past or the future and complaining about where they are not. The “space” between where you are and your story about where you think you should be is what I call the “unhappiness gap for many people. We have to accept “what is” so that we can change and transform what is. Secondly, about seeing things as we want them to be. Einstein said, “Your imagination is your preview of coming attractions” in your life. Whatever you imagine, consistently, is what you program your unconscious mind with. Research demonstrates that poor people imagine staying poor and rich people imagine and daydream staying rich, hence, programming that manifest as behavior. Listen, apply, and enjoy! Transformational Takeaway Accept life as it is in the moment and be grateful for all your blessings in life and next, focus on what you want, not on what you do not have. Thu, 16 Apr 2026 - 496 - Ep 486: Use Your Imagination to Get Anything You Want
Start Your Transformation Now In this episode of The Jim Fortin Podcast, Jim Fortin reveals one of the most profound and underutilized powers available to every human being: the imagination. Far more than a place to daydream, imagination is what Jim calls the language of God — the invisible force that quite literally shapes every circumstance, relationship, and outcome in life. Drawing on wisdom from William James, Henry David Thoreau, and Ernest Holmes, Jim makes the compelling case that everything in the external world — money, health, relationships — is simply the effect of what has already been created in the imagination. Most people spend their lives reacting to appearances — the bank balance, the body in the mirror, the job they've outgrown — and treating those appearances as fixed facts. But Jim challenges that assumption entirely. Your circumstances are not facts. They are temporary effects. And the cause of every single one of them traces back to your imagination. The question is no longer whether you're using your imagination — you already are, constantly. The question is whether you're using it consciously, deliberately, and in your favor. If you've ever wondered why certain things just won't change no matter how hard you try, this episode gives you the missing piece — and a step-by-step practice to start using your imagination to get anything you want. What You'll Discover in This Episode: (00:00) Imagination is far more than daydreaming — Jim opens with a foundational reframe: imagination isn't fantasy, it's the God power within you, and every act of thinking is simultaneously an act of imagining. (09:34) Your circumstances are effects, not facts — Jim explains that the bank account, the body, and the bank balance are all temporary effects of a deeper cause — and that cause is always the imagination. (14:54) The critical difference between thinking of and thinking from — Most people imagine their desires from a place of lack and distance, when the key is to imagine already living from the fulfilled reality. (20:13) Why wanting something keeps it away — Jim reveals the counterintuitive truth: telling the universe you want something simultaneously tells it you don't have it — and the universe simply agrees. (25:34) How to bring your imagination to life with sensory detail — Jim walks through layering in sound, smell, touch, and physical sensation to make imagined realities feel real, and shares a powerful healing story from a student in his Transformational Coaching Program. (29:33) The bedtime practice that programs your subconscious overnight — Jim explains how the theta brainwave state just before sleep is the most powerful window to impress your desires onto the subconscious mind — and why what you "take to bed" can change everything. Listen, apply, and enjoy! Transformational Takeaway Your imagination is not a luxury — it is your salvation. Everything you currently have in your life was first created in the theater of your imagination. That means you are not a victim of your reality. You are its author. Know exactly what you desire. Create the mental scene as if it is already fulfilled. Give it texture — smell it, hear it, feel it. Hand it to your subconscious mind, especially in those precious moments just before sleep. Stop imagining from a place of lack and longing. Start imagining from the life you are already living in your mind. Your external world has no choice but to catch up. Tue, 14 Apr 2026 - 495 - Ep 485: Throwback To Ep 221: The Psychology of Doing The Impossible
Start Your Transformation Now Have you ever wondered how truly powerful your mind is? We all hear different stories about the “Power of the Mind” but have you experienced that in your own life? Personally, I used my “mind” to heal from a stroke and heart failure, all of which happened in a single year, 2020. And, as I was healing I was searching Youtube for inspirational videos and stories. I had never even taken so much as a prescription until my ordeals and I was wondering and searching for, “How do I heal myself beyond what modern medicine says I can do? I came across a video by a man named Bob Cafaro and it was titled, “The Psychology Of Beating An Incurable Disease.” The title sucked me in immediately and the video did not disappoint. As a far of matter, it was the single most impactful video that I watched. Bob healed himself from an incurable disease, Multiple Sclerosis. You read that right. He headed himself 100% using the power of his mind. I’m ecstatic because I’m visiting with Bob in this episode and he shares the specific activities that healed him. Before I talked to him, I was blown away because as we were talking, he shared how he “did the impossible,” literally. So, how does the interview apply to you and help you live a better life? Easy, if you’re in any way physically ill listening to this podcast episode can do one of the most important things you ever do and if you’ve never been in such circumstances, Bob demonstrates the power of doing the impossible. Thu, 09 Apr 2026 - 494 - Ep 484: Escape Your Exhausting Mind
Start Your Transformation Now In this episode of The Jim Fortin Podcast, Jim Fortin breaks down one of the most misunderstood distinctions in human experience: the difference between the brain and the mind. While the brain is organic and biological, the mind is something far greater. And yet, most people allow an overactive brain to run the show — generating endless cycles of fear, worry, and mental noise they believe they are powerless to stop. Jim makes the case that overthinking is not intelligence — it's misplaced trust. Every time we over-analyze or mentally manage our lives, we are telling the universe we don't believe it can handle things without us. But here's the truth Jim returns to again and again: your life is not sustained by your thinking. And once you understand who is actually doing the thinking — and who is watching it happen — everything changes. If your mind never seems to quiet down and peace feels out of reach, this episode will give you one of the most liberating realizations available to any human being. What You'll Discover in This Episode: (00:00) The critical difference between your brain and your mind — Jim opens with a foundational distinction most people have never considered: the brain is organic and biological, but the mind is non-organic, and conflating the two is the root cause of most mental exhaustion and fear. (07:05) Overthinking is misplaced trust — Jim introduces a game-changing reframe: every act of overthinking signals to the universe that you don't trust it — and recognizing that truth is the first step toward reclaiming your peace and power. (14:15) Your life is not sustained by your thinking — Drawing on the wisdom of Don Javier, Jim demonstrates that universal intelligence — not the analytical mind — is what actually sustains life, and why you can stop white-knuckling your way through it. (18:36) You are not your thoughts — you are the awareness observing them — Jim delivers the episode's central breakthrough: you are the consciousness that observes your thoughts, not the fearful, noisy thoughts themselves, and that distinction is where freedom begins. (24:19) The trap of identifying with the physical self — Jim walks listeners through why identifying with the body and individual mind is the source of so much suffering — and how shifting into pure awareness breaks that trap. (29:11) Silence is not the absence of thought — it's the recognition of noise — Jim reframes what true silence means: not a perfectly quiet mind, but the awareness of how active the individual mind is — and why that awareness alone delivers peace. Listen, apply, and enjoy! Transformational Takeaway The mind is not the self — and the moment you grasp that, something shifts. All the worry, the fear, the frantic mental management of your life — none of that is you. It is noise from an organic brain doing what brains do. You are the awareness behind it. Just as your hands are not you, your thoughts are not you. You are the consciousness observing them. Trust the I am over the me. Universal intelligence already knows what you desire. Your only job is to get still, recognize the noise for what it is, and let something far greater than your individual mind do the work it was always meant to do. You are not a prisoner of your thoughts. You are the awareness that sets you free. Thu, 02 Apr 2026 - 492 - Ep 482: Do Spiritual People Worry?
Start Your Transformation Now In this episode of The Jim Fortin Podcast, Jim Fortin tackles a question that cuts to the heart of modern spiritual life: can you truly call yourself spiritual if you're consumed by worry? Jim draws a sharp line between identifying with spirituality and actually living from it — and reveals why so many self-described spiritual people are still trapped in cycles of fear, anxiety, and control. He challenges listeners to look honestly at their own behavior and ask whether their inner life matches the spiritual identity they claim. Jim unpacks the fundamental incompatibility between worry and true spirituality, making the case that worry is, at its core, an act of distrust — a signal to the universe that you don't believe in its power to deliver. Rather than offering another technique or mindset hack, Jim redirects listeners toward the only real solution: getting still, merging with universal mind, and releasing the ego's compulsive need to control outcomes. If you've ever wondered why your spiritual practice hasn't quieted your anxious mind, this episode will show you exactly why — and what to do instead. What You'll Discover in This Episode: (00:00) Why identifying as spiritual doesn't make you spiritual — Jim makes the critical distinction between spiritual interest and spiritual being, and why so many people have unknowingly turned their spirituality into just another form of dogma. (06:33) Spirituality isn't about talk — it's about how you live — Using vivid real-world examples, Jim illustrates how people can walk the spiritual walk on the surface while being completely untethered from it in their moment-to-moment behavior. (13:49) Worry is an attempt to control — and control is the opposite of trust — Jim introduces a game-changing reframe: if you're worrying, you're trying to control something — and true spirituality requires surrendering that control to the power of universal mind. (21:08) You are not a being that has consciousness — consciousness has you — Jim shares the wave-and-ocean metaphor to explain why you are already inseparable from the ultimate power in the universe, and why that realization makes worry not just unnecessary, but illogical. (25:40) When you worry, you're telling the universe it isn't enough — Jim reveals the hidden message behind every worried thought: a declaration to universal mind that it is not sufficient to create what you need — and why that belief keeps you stuck. (30:34) How to stay in inspired action without the fear — Jim outlines the practical alternative to worried doing: staying in movement while simultaneously remaining connected to divine mind through presence, silence, and surrender. Listen, apply, and enjoy! Transformational Takeaway Worry is not a personality quirk or a harmless habit — it is a declaration of disconnection. Every time you worry, you are telling the universe that you don't trust it, that you believe you have to force your reality into existence through sheer physical effort. But here's the truth Jim wants you to sit with: you are not a separate little being trying to connect to something greater. Like a wave that is already the ocean, you are already one with consciousness — with the ultimate power in the universe. The moment you recognize that, worry loses its grip. Get still. Five minutes. No phone, no agenda, no affirmations. Just silence. That silence is where you merge with divine mind, and divine mind — which already knows your desires through your frequency — can finally do its work. Stop micromanaging the universe. Let go. And watch how quickly things begin to move when you get out of the way. Let’s Connect: Instagram | Facebook | YouTube | LinkedIn LIKED THE EPISODE? Tue, 31 Mar 2026 - 491 - Ep 481: Throwback To Ep55: I Am Not Who You Think I Am, You Are Who You Think I Am. Let Go Of The Fear Of Judgement
Start Your Transformation Now Every time you judge someone, you are not judging them, they are reflecting you back to yourself. This episode is about how we’re mirrors for each other and how when people judge you, they are not judging you, they are just reacting to who they think you are, based upon who they are. You’ve heard me say before, most people’s two biggest fears are the fear of being abandoned and the fear of inadequacy. These fears keep most people trapped for a lifetime, it’s time to release them. In this episode I talk about:[3:50] How many times your fear is rooted in personal insecurity[5:32] How people judge out of personal insecurity[9:36] How many times you judge people for judging you[12:05] How you judge yourself when others judge you[12:52] Why people judge[16:36] Why drives the fear of rejection And, like I say in every episode recap, much, much more… In this episode I talk about a few different ways to start BEing so the fear of judgement by others no longer bothers you. When you change how you interpret judgment, the fear of judgement goes Away. Listen, apply, and enjoy! Transformational Takeaway People are not judging YOU, they are telling you who they are. Thu, 26 Mar 2026 - 490 - Ep 480: Why Your Affirmations Are Keeping You Stuck, Unhealthy, Lonely, and Broke
Start Your Transformation Now In this episode of The Jim Fortin Podcast, Jim Fortin dismantles one of the most widely practiced habits in personal development: affirmations. Jim makes the case that affirmations — far from attracting what you want — are actually a confession of lack. Every time you affirm a truth, you're telegraphing to the universe that you don't yet believe it's real. And the universe keeps delivering exactly that: the absence of what you want. The real power lies not in projecting lack through affirmation, but in cultivating a quiet, receptive consciousness — one rooted in faith and knowing, not hoping and asking. Divine intelligence already knows your deepest desires. It doesn't need your reminders or morning rituals. It needs you to get out of the way. If you've spent years working hard at manifestation only to feel like you're running in place, this one's for you. What You'll Discover in This Episode: (00:00) Why affirmations are actually confessing what you don't have — Every time you affirm something, you're broadcasting to the universe that it isn't already true — and the universe mirrors that energy right back to you. (05:48) Your affirmations are ego insurance policies, not acts of faith — Most people affirm out of insecurity, not conviction. Repeating affirmations is the ego's way of feeling like it's doing something — and divine mind doesn't need your input. (09:06) The apartment story: what happens when you get out of the way — Jim shares a vivid personal story illustrating how surrendering to the consciousness of knowing — without effort or affirmation — delivered exactly what he desired. (17:46) The shift from projecting to receiving — Jim introduces quiet receptivity as the alternative to affirmations, and explains why it carries a fundamentally different energetic charge than projecting lack. (21:10) The question that replaces affirmations — Instead of affirming, ask: "What is God expressing right now about ___?" Then sit in silence and let supply do the heavy lifting. (25:58) Three-step noise audit to identify your hidden confessions of lack — List your top affirmations, ask whether you'd still do them if your desire were already 100% true, then take the silence test — five minutes without an agenda — to hear how loudly the ego is interfering. Listen, apply, and enjoy! Transformational Takeaway Every affirmation you've ever done was a well-meaning confession — a signal to the universe that you do not have what you want. The shift Jim offers isn't a new technique or a better script. Stop screaming at the universe through the megaphone of your ego and start sitting in the quiet knowing that universal intelligence already has it handled. You don't need to remind divine mind of what's in your heart. Every time you feel the urge to fix, force, or affirm — label it as noise. Get still. Get receptive. And let the universe do what it has always been doing: taking care of everything. Tue, 24 Mar 2026 - 489 - Ep 479: Throwback To Ep39: Do You Have It In You?
Start Your Transformation Now When people say, “Do you have it IN you,” they're usually talking about resolve and grit and the fortitude to accomplish something. I’m going a different direction with this episode. The Dalai Lama said, “If there is no anger in you, you cannot be angry.” The same applies to every area of your life. What’s in you is what you create. Poverty, wealth, health, poor health… it’s all created by what’s “in you” mentally! In this episode I talk about:[9:25] Identity[10:57] Identity[24:17] Identity Yes, I intended to state the word “IDENTITY” three times. What’s in your unconscious identity is what’s in your life. Sun Tzu said, “Victorious warriors win first and then go to war, while defeated warriors go to war first and then seek to win.” Anything you want in life you must first be in your internal world. Thu, 19 Mar 2026 - 488 - Ep 478: Brainwashed: Exit the Lie
Start Your Transformation Now In this episode of The Jim Fortin Podcast, Jim Fortin launches a new series called Brainwashed: Exit the Lie — a deep dive into the conditioning that keeps us small, stuck, and struggling. After 30 years of teaching transformation, Jim has arrived at a profound shift: the goal is no longer transformation, but transcendence — not fixing the self, but rising above the very identity that created the obstacles. Drawing from his own turbulent 18 months of personal and professional upheaval, Jim reveals that the source of our limitations isn't circumstance — it's the brainwashing we've absorbed our entire lives. At the heart of this episode is one paradigm-shattering insight: the reason your mental and spiritual work isn't fixing your life is because you are trying to fix your life. Using the vivid metaphor of the Blue Monkey, Jim unpacks how the desperate need for outcomes is the very thing that repels them — every plan, every "but how?" is ego-driven brainwashing telegraphing lack to the universe, keeping you locked in a cage you're unknowingly holding shut yourself. This episode is the beginning of a journey that promises peace, freedom, and power when you finally stop living in the lie and recognize yourself as the ultimate source in the universe. What You'll Discover in This Episode: (00:00) The shift from transformation to transcendence — Jim introduces the series and explains why true freedom comes from transcending the ego-self that created your limitations — not transforming it. (05:48) Why working on yourself keeps you stuck — Jim delivers a major epiphany: the very act of trying to fix your life signals to the universe that you don't yet have what you want. (09:03) The Blue Monkey and the Brainwashing — Using the legend of the Alchemist, Jim introduces the Blue Monkey to illustrate how our conditioned doing, planning, and needing is the exact force blocking the gold we're trying to attract. (17:45) The need that repels what you want — Jim breaks down how desperation for abundance, love, or health creates the energetic repulsion that keeps those things out of reach, because consciousness responds to state — not want. (24:08) To need nothing is to have everything — Jim shares a personal turning point: the things that showed up most powerfully in his life came when he held them as already on their way — without desperation or the Blue Monkey in charge. (29:00) There is no dualism — the exit is dropping the ego — We are not a physical body and a soul — we are one — and the brainwashing that keeps us living as separate from Source is the only lie we need to exit. Listen, apply, and enjoy! Transformational Takeaway You have been brainwashed by a lifetime of conditioning that taught you that life is hard and you must do in order to have. But every time you desperately reach for the outcome you want, you send one clear signal to the universe: I don't have it yet. That signal is the Blue Monkey — and it is the only thing standing between you and everything you desire. The exit isn't a new strategy or another affirmation. It's the recognition that you are not apart from Source — you areSource. Stop digging up the acorn to check on the universe. The gold isn't something you have to force or fix your way into. It's already yours — the moment you stop needing it. Tue, 17 Mar 2026 - 487 - Ep 477: Throwback To Ep59: Money Doesn’t Come From Hard Work
Start Your Transformation Now If you’re like me you’ve heard it a million times growing up… “You have to work hard” to have a great life, get ahead, have financial security, etc, etc.Right? It was drilled into our heads by society and our parents and family, and here’s the thing, it’s just not true. After all, you see people working hard for a lifetime and they have little to nothing to show for it. In this episode I talk about:[1:13] Why working hard mostly likely won’t make you rich[9:58] How physics demonstrates that we don’t have to work hard to attract wealth[16:59] Why physics applies to your life and your money[19:41] How science and ancient wisdom merge in this area[20:02] Why worrying about money actually repels itAnd three powerful books that will actually help you develop your wealth and prosperity consciousness. The truth is this, great abundance does not come from hard work, it comes from your money consciousness. Many of the motivational speakers and internet personalities are yelling all day long about “hustle, and hard work and grind” and none of them have a clue that that approach generally repels the very wealth that you want. Listen, apply, and enjoy! Transformational Takeaway You will not be rich until you feel rich. Thu, 12 Mar 2026 - 486 - Ep 476: Why You're Afraid Of Silence and Don't Even Know It
Start Your Transformation Now In this episode of The Jim Fortin Podcast, Jim Fortin explores one of the most overlooked forces shaping our lives: the fear of silence. Inspired by watching visitors in Sedona bury their faces in their phones rather than soak in the stunning surroundings, Jim dives into the science behind why we're addicted not to our devices, but to avoiding ourselves — unpacking dopamine loops, variable rewards, and how constant scrolling has become a tool for escaping self-reflection. Jim reveals that the average person spends just three minutes a day in genuine self-reflection yet two and a half hours on social media. That imbalance isn't just a time problem — it's an identity problem. Every major spiritual tradition, from Buddhism to shamanism, points to silence not as a practice but as a natural state of being. The noise of our devices keeps us living on the outside, cut off from the authentic power within. This episode is a call to stop running and start listening — to yourself. Jim offers one simple, powerful challenge that can begin your transformation today. What You'll Discover in This Episode: (00:00) The phone addiction hiding in plain sight — Jim opens with a striking scene in Sedona and reveals that our phone obsession isn't about devices — it's about avoiding the silence and depth of our own inner world. (05:51) Dopamine, doom scrolling, and the slot machine in your pocket — Jim breaks down the brain science of variable rewards and why we're wired to keep scrolling, chasing the next dopamine hit the same way a gambler pulls a lever. (11:09) Silence triggers the default mode network — Why the brain literally interprets stillness as danger, and how burying ourselves in social media is a way to sidestep self-reflection, anxiety, and unresolved emotions. (18:24) Social media steals your soulful identity — Constant stimulation keeps us trapped in a 3D external identity, disconnected from the higher, more powerful essence of who we truly are. (25:30) Every spiritual tradition points to silence — From Buddhism to shamanism, the path to wisdom and transformation has always run through stillness — not apps, algorithms, or content. (32:00) The 60-second practice that starts it all — Jim's practical challenge: before you scroll, pause for one minute and notice what arises — because what surfaces in that silence is exactly what you've been avoiding. Listen, apply, and enjoy! Transformational Takeaway You are not addicted to your phone — you are addicted to avoiding yourself. Every scroll is a retreat from your own power and wisdom. The silence you've been running from isn't empty; it's full — full of the answers your analytical mind can never find. The next time you reach for your phone, pause for 60 seconds. The discomfort that rises isn't a signal to scroll. It's an invitation to evolve. Stop digging the hole. Get quiet. The power you've been seeking externally has been inside you all along. Tue, 10 Mar 2026 - 485 - Ep 475: Throwback To Ep76: Q & A – How Can I Be Rich And Spiritual At The Same Time?
Start Your Transformation Now I personally don’t get it, seriously, what is the negative relationship between spirituality and wealth? It’s interesting that so many people think that spirituality and wealth are incompatible. So, in this episode, I talk about this archaic belief and also about self-worth as it relates to money and wealth. Unlike the person who asked this question I hold the opposite belief, and that is, money and spirituality are absolutely compatible and you can easily have both. In this episode I talk about:[1:26] Why spirituality and money are not diametrically opposed[3:38] Why to be spiritual MEANS we can have and attract money[5:27] How all of life, which is “spiritual,” is about expansion and not contraction[10:32] How your self-worth determines your wealth[11:50] Why money is not a measure of self-value[21:43] How you can help more people become wealthy And, like I say in just about every episode synopsis, I’ll talk about a lot more. The world you live in will give you ANY amount of money you want, but only based on the value you hold for yourself. Listen, apply, and enjoy! Transformational Takeaway How can you be rich and spiritual at the same time? Easy, be rich and spiritual at the same time. Thu, 05 Mar 2026 - 484 - Ep 474: The World Is Your Mirror, Stop Fighting Your Reflection
Start Your Transformation Now In this episode of The Jim Fortin Podcast, Jim Fortin reveals that the external world is not the cause of our experience — it is the reflection of it. Every bank balance, health diagnosis, and relationship outcome mirrors the identity we carry within. We don't need to fight our circumstances; we need to change what we're projecting. Jim explains why so many people stay stuck — not because life is against them, but because they keep trying to change the reflection without changing the face looking into the mirror. The shift he's calling listeners toward is moving from a 3D human identity defined by limitation to a spiritual identity rooted in divine mind, universal consciousness — what Jim simply calls God. Stop punching the mirror. This episode offers the awareness and tools to finally change what's being reflected back. Listen and let it shift something. What You'll Discover in This Episode: (00:00) The world is your mirror, not your enemy — Jim opens by reframing the foundational premise: our environment is not the cause of our problems but a reflection of our inner identity and consciousness. (05:51) You can't change the mirror with the same identity — Why fighting your external circumstances only reaffirms the very identity that created them, and why the senses report reality rather than create it. (11:09) Spiritual identity vs. 3D identity — Jim invites listeners to move beyond religious dogma and human limitation by asking: what if you identified as the ultimate power in the universe — as divine mind, as God? (16:28) You are never at the mercy of your circumstances — A powerful distinction: we are never at the mercy of our circumstances, only at the mercy of our identity — and identity is something we can change. (22:47) Think from the end, not to the end — Jim introduces the transformational question: "If this were already resolved, how would I feel right now?" — shifting consciousness from the problem to the resolution. (29:37) Who are you willing to be before the evidence shows up? — The ultimate takeaway: begin conditioning yourself to identify as one with divine mind, working from that identity before the physical reality confirms it. Listen, apply, and enjoy! Transformational Takeaway Your circumstances are not your truth — they are your mirror, created by a past version of you. Stop reacting to the reflection. Ask: if this were already resolved, how would I feel? Hold that feeling, think from the end, and begin identifying as divine mind — as the ultimate power in the universe. Change what you project, and the mirror has no choice but to change what it reflects back. Let’s Connect: Instagram | Facebook | YouTube | LinkedIn LIKED THE EPISODE? Tue, 03 Mar 2026 - 483 - Ep 473: Throwback To Ep2: Who Are You And What Is Your Identity?
Start Your Transformation Now In this episode we look at your identity and why you do what you do. You’ll learn that it doesn’t matter what you think you want and it doesn’t matter what you do because you only create in life what you are. Your identity is created from experiences in your life, then you create an interpretation from those experiences and then you tell yourself a story about it for the rest of your life. So, in order to change your identity, you must first ask “What would be the identity of someone who already has what I want?” Look for someone who already has what you want. Listen to the entire episode to learn about changing your identity! In this episode I discuss:How your identity is formed when you’re a small childHow you have created an identity loop and it’s keeping you stuckHow to determine what identity you have (hint look at your environment)Discovering your internal barometerWhat identity do you want? Thu, 26 Feb 2026 - 482 - Ep 472: Today Is A Good Day To Die, part 2.
Start Your Transformation Now In this follow-up episode of The Jim Fortin Podcast, Jim Fortin returns to the provocative theme of ego death introduced in Part 1, this time going deeper into the mechanics of ego identification and why most people remain trapped inside it. Drawing from shamanic teachings, brain science, and deeply personal stories—including the moment a doctor told him he was in heart failure—Jim explains that fear is not a personal flaw but the energy of separation, a byproduct of the ego. Every limitation, every story of "I'm not good enough," every belief system that keeps us small, is rooted in ego. And all of it, Jim insists, was learned. Jim distinguishes between transformation and transcendence, sharing why he is now calling himself and his listeners toward something even deeper: moving beyond the identity of ego altogether. He revisits the habits of the mind that keep the ego alive, explains why love itself gets hijacked by ego, and offers a powerful shamanic reframe—that the soul is the witness, the parent watching the child, the light that dissolves the darkness of the ego. The episode also introduces Soul Forge, Jim's new program designed to help people identify and dissolve the ego's grip on their subconscious patterns. If Part 1 opened the door, Part 2 walks you through it. Listen and let this one sit with you. What You’ll Discover in This Episode: (02:53) Fear is not personal—it's the energy of separation Why every fear you entertain is ego-based, not soul-based, and how understanding this distinction begins to dissolve fear's power over your life. (05:47) The habit of knowing yourself as ego How we become so deeply conditioned to identify as our ego that we forget there's a soulful being underneath—and why recognition is the first step to breaking the cycle. (09:13) Identity, ego, and the question "Who would I be without me?" Through a powerful client story, Jim illustrates how ego identity quietly runs our lives and why releasing it doesn't leave you empty—it makes you present. (12:04) Awareness is the light that dissolves ego Why your ego cannot survive scrutiny and observation, and how shifting from ego to soul as your primary vantage point changes what's possible for you. (18:03) The soul as parent, the ego as child A vivid metaphor for understanding the soul's role as observer—watching the ego's drama without being consumed by it and gently calling you toward expansion. (24:30) You don't need a birthday—you have an incarnation date Why recognizing that you've never truly died shifts your operating frequency from ego fear to soulful power, and what it really means to become more spiritual. Listen, apply, and enjoy! Transformational Takeaway You don't need to destroy your ego. You need to stop believing that it is you. Every fear, every limitation, every "I'm not good enough" belongs to the ego—a learned identity formed in childhood that no longer serves you. You are the soul observing the ego, present and aware, knowing everything is going to be fine. You have an incarnation date, not a birth date. You have never truly died. Stop fighting the ego. Simply become aware. Awareness is the light. Flip the switch. Mentioned Resources: https://www.jimfortin.com/soul Part 1 Let’s Connect: Instagram | Facebook | YouTube | LinkedIn LIKED THE EPISODE? Have you ever wondered why you try and try and try to change but nothing changes? If so, you’re not alone and it’s not your fault, it’s your brain keeping you trapped in your old subconscious identity. In this episode, I delve into the BE-DO-HAVE model of performance which you’ve probably heard me talk about over and over and I talk about why some people still fail with it. I share with you how to up-level and make the BE-DO-HAVE strategy of performance work for you! In this episode I talk about:[1:43] How your current subconscious identity keeps you trapped[7:48] How your reptilian brain does not want you to change[12:22] How predictability keeps you trapped[13:48] Why anxiety sets in when you’re trying to change[18:43] How “Resistance” is not your friend[20:33] Why there is no time but NOW to work from[23:12] And, how your brain tries to protect you but keeps you trapped If you’ve ever wondered, “WHY, why do I want to change so badly but I keep finding myself right back in my old patterns” then this episode is for you. In this episode, I dig into brain-based function as well as the psychological aspects of change and transformation.
Thu, 19 Feb 2026 - 480 - Ep 470: Today Is A Good Day To Die
Start Your Transformation Now In this episode of The Jim Fortin Podcast, Jim Fortin unpacks the provocative statement "today is a good day to die"—not referring to physical death, but to the death of the ego. Drawing from shamanic wisdom and decades of personal evolution, Jim reveals how every fear, shame, anger, resentment, and struggle in life stems from ego identification. The masks we wear in different situations—at work, home, social events—aren't who we truly are, yet most people have forgotten they're even wearing them. Jim explains that transformation isn't about becoming better or acquiring more; it's about removing the illusion of who we think we are and recognizing the soulful being beneath the ego. Throughout the episode, Jim shares personal stories and observations about how the ego plays out in everyday life—from road rage incidents to political divisions to relationship conflicts. He explains why the ego, formed hundreds of thousands of years ago as a survival mechanism, still drives our reactions today. The key isn't eliminating ego (which is impossible), but recognizing when it shows up and choosing how we want to demonstrate it. When we stop identifying with our ego and start seeing ourselves and others as soulful beings temporarily wearing masks, everything shifts. If you've been struggling with fear, conflict, or feeling stuck in life, this episode offers a profound reframe that can help you see beyond the mask and reclaim your true self. What You’ll Discover in This Episode: (05:14) Why we wear different masks in different situations How the masks we learned as children for survival still run our lives decades later, keeping us small and inauthentic. (09:03) The power of separating ego from soul A parking lot encounter that demonstrates how recognizing someone's ego behavior—rather than taking it personally—creates instant peace. (13:25) How your ego was formed and why it persists Understanding the ancient survival mechanisms that created the ego and why fears of rejection and judgment still control modern behavior. (18:41) Why reacting to someone's ego with your own ego keeps you stuck How judging people for being assholes makes us the asshole, and what to do instead to break the cycle. (23:28) The choice between being right and being kind Why wanting to be right in relationships is pure ego, and how shifting this one pattern transforms conflict into connection. (26:55) Seeing every person as a soulful being The train metaphor that helps us recognize everyone—even the "bad" people—are on the same journey home, just at different locations. Listen, apply, and enjoy! Transformational Takeaway Today is a good day for your ego to die—not your physical body, but the mask you've been wearing that was never truly you. Every fear, shame, anger, and struggle in your life is ego-based, not soul-based. When you recognize that you are a soulful being having a human experience, and that everyone else is too, everything changes. The antagonists in your life aren't assholes—they're souls wearing masks, just like you. Stop judging their ego with your ego. Instead, choose to see beyond the mask. You'll never eliminate ego completely, but you can decide how you want to demonstrate it. Will you choose being right or being kind? Will you react from fear or respond from soul? The mask you wore as a child to survive no longer serves you. It's time to remember who you truly are beneath the illusion, and when you do, you'll discover that transformation isn't about getting more—it's about releasing what was never you in the first place. Thu, 12 Feb 2026 - 478 - Ep 468: If You Serve Two Masters, You'll Be Lost and Stuck In Life
Start Your Transformation Now In this episode of The Jim Fortin Podcast, Jim Fortin explores why so many people feel lost, stuck, or overwhelmed in life—not because life is difficult, but because their attention is divided. Drawing from consciousness-based principles, Jim explains that when attention is split between inner truth and outer circumstances, progress stalls. Wherever attention goes, consciousness follows—and whatever consciousness serves becomes the master shaping results in health, money, and relationships. Jim unpacks how most people unknowingly give authority to the world of appearances—bank accounts, symptoms, relationship dynamics—while claiming to trust spirituality or higher intelligence. This inner contradiction creates tension, fear, and exhaustion. By learning to manage attention and live from consciousness rather than conditions, listeners begin reclaiming personal power and peace of mind. If you’ve been trying harder but feeling more frustrated, this episode offers a profound reframe that can help you stop serving the wrong master and start creating from alignment instead. What You’ll Discover in This Episode: (02:50) Why divided attention creates divided results How focusing on both fear and faith at the same time keeps people stuck. (08:45) The real role of attention in creation Why where you place your attention determines what you experience in life. (12:11) Why circumstances are effects—not causes How health, money, and relationships reflect consciousness rather than define it. (17:49) The hidden mistake spiritual seekers often make Why trying to use spirituality to fix a life you still identify with doesn’t work. (26:53) The true measure of progress in life Why peace of mind—not improved conditions—is the real sign of transformation. (29:30) Two questions that reveal who you’re serving A simple self-check to see whether consciousness or circumstances runs your life. Listen, apply, and enjoy! Transformational Takeaway You are not stuck because life is against you—you’re stuck because you’re serving the wrong master. When circumstances dictate your peace, they control your life. But when you reclaim authority over your attention, conditions lose their power. Shift the cause, and the effects must follow. Master your attention, and you master your experience from the inside out. Mentioned Resources: http://Jimfortin.com/soul Let’s Connect: Instagram | Facebook | YouTube | LinkedIn LIKED THE EPISODE? Thu, 05 Feb 2026 - 476 - Ep 466: Wealth Through Consciousness
Start Your Transformation Now In this episode of The Jim Fortin Podcast, Jim Fortin reframes wealth from a radically different perspective—one rooted in consciousness rather than effort, hustle, or external conditions. Against the backdrop of economic uncertainty, Jim explains why money is not something to chase, earn, or force into existence, but something that flows naturally from the state of being a person occupies. By shifting attention from form—bank accounts, markets, and bills—to consciousness itself, listeners are invited to rethink everything they believe about financial security and abundance. Jim breaks down four powerful reframes that dismantle the cultural conditioning around money: that wealth exists outside of us, that hard work guarantees financial success, that numbers define worth, and that current circumstances reflect present truth. Instead, he reveals how wealth is a state of consciousness first—and how money is simply a delayed echo of past thinking. When consciousness changes, form must follow. If you’ve been working harder but feeling stuck, anxious, or at the mercy of external forces, this episode offers a grounded yet expansive perspective that can permanently change how you relate to money, supply, and yourself. What You’ll Discover in This Episode: (02:50) The lie that money exists outside of you Why chasing money keeps it out of reach—and how wealth actually takes form through consciousness. (08:58) Why wealth is a state of being before it’s a number Jim explains why focusing on bank balances and markets keeps people trapped in the “shadows.” (14:45) The cause-and-effect truth behind financial reality How consciousness creates money—and why trying to fix effects never works. (18:06) Why you are supply itself, not separate from it A powerful reframe that dissolves lack by reconnecting identity to Source. (24:11) Why your finances reflect past consciousness, not present truth How to stop treating money as a verdict and start using it as feedback. (29:57) A simple phrase that rewires your relationship with money Jim shares a practical internal shift that changes how you respond to bills, fear, and lack. Listen, apply, and enjoy! Transformational Takeaway Money does not define who you are—it reflects who you have been. When you stop reacting to appearances and start identifying as consciousness itself, the struggle dissolves. Wealth is not something you earn someday; it is something you embody now. Shift the cause, and the effect must change. When you stop waiting for proof and begin living from knowing, supply aligns naturally—and life responds accordingly. Thu, 29 Jan 2026 - 474 - Ep 464: Your Belief and the Problem Is The Problem
Start Your Transformation Now In this episode, Your Belief and the Problem Is The Problem, Jim Fortin challenges one of the most deeply ingrained assumptions in personal growth—that problems are something to be fixed. Drawing from shamanic wisdom, neuroscience, and lived experience, Jim reveals that what we call “problems” are often creations of the ego, sustained by the belief that something is wrong in the first place. When identity is rooted in the ego, struggle feels real and persistent—but when awareness shifts, problems lose their power. Jim goes deeper into how focusing on healing, money, love, or solutions can actually reinforce the very conditions people want to escape. He explains why techniques, hustling, and even prayer can unintentionally affirm lack, separation, and struggle when they come from ego-based identity. Instead, Jim invites listeners to recognize themselves as consciousness first—and to allow universal intelligence to work through them rather than forcing outcomes through effort. If you’ve been working hard to “solve” your life but still feel stuck, this episode offers a powerful reframing that can change how you experience challenges altogether. What You’ll Discover in This Episode: (02:01) Why believing you have a problem is often the real problem Jim explains how problems exist primarily because the ego believes they do. (06:45) How focusing on healing, money, or love can reinforce lack Learn why trying to fix conditions from ego-based identity keeps them alive. (11:58) Why prayer, visualization, and techniques can backfire Discover how effort-based approaches affirm separation from Source. (17:01) The identity shift from ego to consciousness Jim breaks down the difference between having consciousness and being consciousness. (23:45) Why stopping the struggle allows life to realign Understand how silence, presence, and service open the door to effortless change. (32:55) A simple sentence that dissolves ego-based problems Jim shares a practical way to separate who you are from what you’re experiencing. Listen, apply, and enjoy! Transformational Takeaway The moment you stop identifying as the condition and recognize yourself as the one experiencing it, everything changes. Problems don’t disappear because you fix them—they dissolve when you stop feeding them with belief, fear, and effort. When you shift from ego to consciousness, life no longer pushes against you. It moves with you. Let go of the struggle, return to awareness, and allow transformation to unfold naturally. Tue, 27 Jan 2026 - 473 - Ep 463: Throwback To Ep67: There Is No Such Thing As Mind-Boggling.
Start Your Transformation Now We’ve all heard it before, “Wow, that blows my mind, it’s mind boggling.” The truth is this, anything mind boggling is something that simply exists outside your personal model of reality. We humans work from tiny models of reality and most of us stay trapped in our small models of the world. St. Germain said, “If humans knew how the laws of the universe worked they’d cease to believe in miracles.” When we learn to think outside our models of reality, life opens up for us.In this episode I talk about:[9:13] The importance of stopping internal dialog[9:45] Why “100% Possible – 100% Of The Time” is liberating[10:50] How your entire world is a 3D interpretation[13:00] How you give up your true power when you’re born[15:25] Why when you “stop thinking” you become pure possibility[25:05] Why working from evidence is a trap And, as you know, I tend to cover a lot of ancillary ideas in each episode. If you’re wanting to stop working from circumstances you’re probably going to really like this episode. Listen, apply, and enjoy! Thu, 22 Jan 2026 - 472 - Ep 462: Breaking The Illusion Of You
Start Your Transformation Now In this powerful first installment of a two-part mini-series, Jim Fortin explores one of the deepest causes of human suffering: the illusion of identity. He explains how most people unknowingly live from a limited, ego-based sense of self—and how this illusion quietly shapes fear, lack, struggle, and disconnection. Jim begins guiding listeners toward a more profound understanding of who they truly are beyond the human identity they’ve learned to accept as “self.” Jim goes deeper into what it means to be consciousness having a human experience, rather than a human trying to become spiritual. He breaks down how identifying with the 3D ego creates separation from inner power, and why most problems don’t need to be solved—but seen through. Listeners are invited to shift from operating inside the illusion to recognizing the awareness behind it, where true transformation begins. This episode sets the foundation for a radical identity shift that changes how life, challenges, and possibilities are experienced. If you’ve ever felt stuck despite doing “all the right things,” this conversation opens the doorway to a completely different way of living. What You’ll Discover in This Episode: (02:10) Why most suffering comes from misunderstanding identity Jim explains why people struggle not because life is hard, but because they don’t truly know who they are. (05:48) The hidden trap of the 3D ego identity Learn how identifying with race, roles, history, and labels creates the illusion of separation and fuels fear and lack. (11:41) What it really means to be consciousness first Jim introduces the identity “flip” that shifts life from effort and struggle to ease and alignment. (17:00) Why ego problems don’t get solved—they dissolve Discover why trying to fix life from the ego is like rearranging furniture on the Titanic. (23:08) How prayer and begging reinforce separation Jim explains how traditional prayer often reinforces the illusion instead of reconnecting us to our inherent power. (27:11) The one realization that ends the ‘beast of burden’ life Understand why identifying as consciousness first restores power, peace, and clarity. Listen, apply, and enjoy! Transformational Takeaway The greatest illusion you can break is the belief that you are the human identity you’ve learned to be. When you stop trying to fix your life from the ego and begin recognizing yourself as consciousness having a human experience, struggle loses its grip. Problems no longer define you—and often dissolve entirely. True transformation begins not with effort, but with awareness. Shift your identity, and your life follows. Tue, 20 Jan 2026 - 471 - EP 461: Throwback To Ep31: What Is Your Purpose?
Start Your Transformation Now How often have you asked yourself this question: “What is my life’s purpose?” If you’re like almost all people, you’ve asked yourself this question over and over and you still haven’t found your answer. In this episode I dig deeper and take a look at your life’s purpose from a much higher perspective. For most people, they have never thought in this way. They’ve never expanded the level from which they see and experience their lives. In this episode I talk about:[5:38] “Where you’re living from”[9:59] Looking at your life in a bigger context[10:45] Why your purpose is internal and not external[13:28] Why your external purpose is not your real purpose[24:54] And, how working from your highest potential will help you connect with your real purpose Also, I talk about meditation and why this is so important. The easiest way to work from higher purpose is to quiet your mind and connect at the deepest levels of who you are. Listen, apply, and enjoy! Thu, 15 Jan 2026 - 470 - Ep 460: Interview with Gary Zukav
Start Your Transformation Now In this profound and far-reaching conversation, Jim Fortin sits down with Gary Zukav, author of The Seat of the Soul, to explore what he calls an unprecedented shift in human consciousness. Gary explains that humanity is moving beyond a five-sensory, fear-based way of living into a multisensory awareness rooted in love, responsibility, and authentic power. This transformation, he says, is not a future possibility—it is happening now, within each individual. The discussion dives deeply into what authentic power truly means: the alignment of personality with soul. Gary contrasts external power—control, manipulation, and fear—with authentic power, which comes from emotional awareness and conscious choice. He offers practical guidance on how to recognize frightened versus loving parts of the personality and how everyday emotional experiences are actually gateways to spiritual growth and personal evolution. If you’ve ever wondered how inner change can affect the world, how to move beyond fear, or how to live with greater meaning and integrity during uncertain times, this episode offers both clarity and direction. What You’ll Discover in This Episode: (02:58) The New Human Consciousness Why humanity is undergoing a rapid, historic shift from five-sensory awareness to multisensory perception. (04:20) External Power vs. Authentic Power How control and manipulation differ from soul-aligned power—and why the old model no longer works. (13:57) Love and Fear as Choice Points How every moment presents a decision between fear-based reactions and love-based responses. (18:59) Emotional Awareness as a Tool How physical sensations in the body reveal frightened or loving parts of your personality. (41:59) Temptation and Conscious Choice Why temptation is a spiritual gift and how it serves as a rehearsal for growth—or karma. (51:30) Creating Change from the Inside Out Why transforming yourself is the only way meaningful change happens in the world. Listen, apply, and enjoy! Transformational Takeaway True transformation doesn’t come from fixing the world outside of you—it begins by turning inward. As Gary Zukav reminds us, the frightened parts of your personality are not obstacles, but doorways to deeper awareness, compassion, and authentic power. When you learn to recognize fear, choose love, and act from alignment with your soul, you step into a life guided not by reaction, but by conscious creation. Thu, 08 Jan 2026 - 468 - Ep 458: Shaman's Tips for an Amazing 2026, part 11
Start Your Transformation Now In this compelling continuation of the 2026 series, Jim expands on Don Juan and Don Xavier’s teachings by bringing listeners into a grounded, practical conversation about economic cycles, human evolution, and spiritual preparedness. Drawing from decades of shamanic guidance, global economic patterns, and his own experience as an investor, Jim explains why the coming years—especially 2026—represent a crossroads for humanity. This episode breaks down how global shifts affect your energy, your frequency, and your personal stability, and why your spiritual posture determines the quality of your life amid large-scale change. He dives deeper into economic realities rarely discussed in spiritual circles, including debt cycles, the weakening U.S. economy, the rise of China, precious metals, inflation dynamics, and the BRICS movement. Jim explains these not to alarm listeners but to help them think clearly, prepare wisely, and avoid unnecessary suffering. With insight from Don Juan's teachings on becoming “immune” to collapse, and prophetic references from Hopi Kachina, Nostradamus, Edgar Cayce, and others, he shows how spiritual alignment, not fear, is the stabilizing force in uncertain times. This episode encourages listeners to become more conscious participants in their financial lives, understand what is unfolding globally, and begin preparing in ways that elevate—not constrict—their frequency. What You’ll Discover in This Episode: (01:02) Why external world changes impact your inner world Jim explains why he’s choosing to address economics on a spiritual podcast—and why energetic resilience matters when global structures shift. (05:40) Economic warning signs most people overlook From inflated markets to unsustainable debt and misleading narratives, Jim outlines the indicators pointing toward major global restructuring. (10:08) 2026 as humanity’s crossroads Drawing from ancient prophecies and shamanic teachings, Jim describes why consciousness is diverging and why your choices determine which path you follow. (16:45) How to think about becoming “immune” to economic turmoil Jim clarifies Don Juan’s definition of independence—living with minimal debt, stabilizing your life, and grounding your frequency regardless of circumstances. (22:10) Why investors are shifting into precious metals With gold at historic highs and global banks hoarding reserves, Jim explains why metals preserve—not grow—wealth during instability. (30:22) Preparing spiritually while learning financially Jim outlines how to explore experts like Ray Dalio, Warren Buffett, and Mark Moss to strengthen your understanding, all while maintaining a high spiritual frequency. Listen, apply, and enjoy! Transformational Takeaway The world is changing, but fear doesn’t prepare you—consciousness does. Your greatest protection in uncertain times is the combination of grounded financial awareness and elevated spiritual frequency. When you reduce unnecessary debt, stay curious, and stay awake to what’s unfolding around you, you begin to navigate life from strength rather than scarcity. And when you pair that with spiritual discipline—presence, clarity, and higher choice—you become resilient, stable, and empowered no matter what the external world is doing. Tue, 06 Jan 2026 - 467 - Ep 457: Throwback To Ep196: Get Unstuck In Life
Start Your Transformation Now In the past, I have often said, “Being stuck” in life, no such thing. Cars can get stuck, things can get stuck but people cannot get stuck. Why, because they have the ability to change things and do different things. So, in this episode I talk about – “Something” leads to something and what does that mean? It’s so simple that most of us miss the power of this simple phrase. Oftentimes in life, we are stuck or directionless when in fact the answers are in front of us all the time, yet we are too busy being stuck to see the obvious answer. I myself, years back, have found myself “stuck.” In particular, I remember 2014 when I was burned out, tired, and in limbo as to what I wanted to do with the rest of my professional life. I remember one day when I was pacing the den the answer came to me. The answer of how to get “unstuck” and to change my life came to me in a flash and had this answer not hit me I seriously doubt I’d even be doing this podcast today. This epiphany I came to, it’s available to everyone and it’s pretty much free, we just have to act upon it and when we do, I promise, something will lead to something. And, when new things come into our awareness then so do possible new opportunities. Be sure to listen to this episode, after all, before you listen to it you have no idea what it’s going to lead to, right? Well, after you listen you’ll perhaps have a new way to “get yourself” unstuck in life. As I said before, we’re never stuck. It’s just often that we have run out of creativity and action. And, when we add creativity and couple that with action, magic can happen. Listen, apply, and enjoy! Transformational Takeaway You’re Never Stuck In Life. Something Leads To Something. Thu, 01 Jan 2026 - 466 - Ep 456: Shaman's Tips for an Amazing 2026, part 10.
Start Your Transformation Now In this powerful continuation of the Shaman’s Tips for an Amazing 2026 series, Jim shares three timeless lessons drawn from decades of teachings from Don Juan and Don Javier. These insights—distraction, dedication to spiritual work, and preparing for economic shifts—are delivered with clarity and urgency, helping listeners understand how their attention, discipline, and frequency shape the reality they experience. Through personal stories, hard-won wisdom, and real examples from his own life, Jim demonstrates how spiritual alignment becomes the stabilizing force in a chaotic world. He goes deeper into how modern distractions steal our ability to live present, centered, and aware. Jim explains why most people unintentionally invest their energy into meaningless noise rather than spiritual evolution—and how this keeps them out of alignment with their purpose. He also introduces a lesson from 2002 that feels more relevant than ever: economic disruption is coming, and spiritual independence, not fear, is what will carry us through. If you’re ready to step into 2026 with more clarity, presence, and personal power, this episode invites you to slow down, pay attention, and reclaim the energy that creates your future. What You’ll Discover in This Episode: (02:58) The hidden cost of distractions Don Juan’s teaching reveals how much of life we miss because our attention is consumed by modern noise rather than presence. (08:46) How distraction drains your power and purpose Jim shares real examples—from doom scrolling to social media addiction—showing how easily we give away the energy needed for growth. (17:58) Why most people never give 50% to their spiritual work A candid teaching from Don Juan that exposes the gap between “wanting transformation” and actually committing to it. (24:08) Pain as the catalyst for profound spiritual change Jim shares how the challenges of 2024 became the foundation for massive evolution, illustrating why discomfort is often the doorway to growth. (28:26) The energetic price of living in the 3D world Learn how attention, discipline, and alignment—not circumstances—determine how grounded and empowered you feel. (32:15) Preparing spiritually for global economic shifts Jim introduces a decades-old prophecy from Don Juan and explains why frequency—not fear—is the key to navigating future instability. Listen, apply, and enjoy! Transformational Takeaway Your attention is your life. When you give it to distractions, fear, or the external world, you weaken your power, your frequency, and your ability to create. But when you reclaim it—through presence, spiritual discipline, and self-awareness—you begin to rise above circumstances rather than collapse under them. The world may shift, but your inner world can remain steady, clear, and strong. Start giving more of your energy to the evolution of your spirit, and you’ll experience a 2026 shaped not by chance, but by consciousness. Tue, 30 Dec 2025 - 465 - Ep 455: Throwback To Ep160: Go Beyond Your Limits
Start Your Transformation Now I take a couple of different angles in this episode. Specifically, I talk about the socially learned human limitations we are taught, the handicap of qualifying life and that “living up to your potential” is not about potential, it’s about your subconscious identity. It’s hard for most of us to grasp but 99% of our limitations are learned. This takes me back to a story I want to share. If I asked you if you think a 56-year-old man, two weeks out of the hospital with a heart attack and zero training and preparation could run 75 consecutive marathons, what would you say? Would you say, “No way” he could do that? Or, do you think that he could? I answer that question in this episode. It dawned on me a few years back that I lived my life through “quantification.” I “counted” things to determine what was good and bad in life. What was acceptable and not. What was a good measure of success and achievement, etc. A while back I learned this is a failed strategy as it keeps us on the merry-go-round of life quantification. Meaning, we’re good enough when we achieve certain things and to certain degrees and we’re falling short when we’re not achieving those numbered quantifications. It’s my attempt in this episode to get you to start letting go of that universally ingrained thinking that keeps us trapped. Has there ever been a time you did something and you initially thought that there was no way you could do it? Most people can say yes to this. Well, it’s not that you can’t do something, it’s that you have “perceived” that you can’t do that and we explore that in this episode. As well, we look at a few real-life scenarios from my own life where either I or someone I knew thought we could not do things, and we actually did them when we stopped “quantifying them.” To add a different perspective on quantification, the Navy Seals have what they call the Rule of 40% and what that means is when you think you’re tired, worn out, exhausted and you have nothing left in you, you still have 40% more energy in you to use and to keep going. We explore that a bit in this episode. And, we wrap up with the fact that you achieving in life has nothing to do with your potential but with the perceptions of your potential. You’re unlimited with unlimited ability, it’s your perceptions about what you cannot and can do that determines that ability. Listen, apply, and enjoy! Transformational Takeaway You’ll never know what you can do until you go beyond your limits because they are not your limits they are your perceived limits! Thu, 25 Dec 2025 - 464 - Ep 454: Shaman's Tips for an Amazing 2026, part 9.
Start Your Transformation Now In this intimate continuation of the Shaman’s Tips for an Amazing 2026 series, Jim opens up a collection of personal notes from his 2019 conversations with Don Javier. These notes—raw, spontaneous, and deeply insightful—offer a rare look into the lessons that have shaped Jim’s own path of spiritual evolution. Unlike previous episodes that centered on a single teaching, this installment weaves together multiple wisdom threads: reciprocity, sacred geometry, authenticity, energetic protection, and the lifelong journey of coming into union with the divine. As Jim breaks down each teaching, he highlights how our struggles often stem from being out of balance with life itself—whether through taking more than we give, disconnecting from our spiritual essence, or living behind masks that keep us out of alignment. Through vivid stories, including powerful examples involving sacred geometry, energetic boundaries, and lessons learned in his own home, he shows how these shamanic principles apply directly to abundance, well-being, and personal power today. If you’re ready for deeper self-honesty, renewed alignment, and a different way of walking through the world, this episode will encourage you to pause, reflect, and follow the inner nudges that are already guiding you toward a more empowered 2026. What You’ll Discover in This Episode: (02:23) Why being “out of well-being” means being out of reciprocity Jim explains how Ayni—the ancient principle of sacred reciprocity—reveals whether we're giving and receiving in balance in money, health, and relationships. (04:41) What broken “geometry” really means You’ll learn why Don Javier teaches that everything is geometry—and how being misaligned internally keeps your outer world from working. (06:41) How real-world examples reveal energetic alignment Jim shares a powerful story about a child completing a torn image, illustrating why inner alignment always creates outer alignment. (10:31) Why so many people live out of union with the divine Hear how modern life drags us into 3D consciousness and how reconnecting with the divine opens the door to abundance and clarity. (17:33) The energetic risks of sharing your life publicly Jim reveals shamanic teachings on personal power, influence, energetic exchange, and why not everyone should have access to your private world. (21:20) The importance of authenticity in a world of masks Discover why people hide behind personas—and why true peace and power come from dropping the mask and living transparently. (25:13) How your home—and its energy—shapes your spiritual path Jim discusses sacred geometry, feng shui, and energetic hygiene, using real examples of spaces holding powerful residue from past events. Listen, apply, and enjoy! Transformational Takeaway This episode invites you to slow down and truly listen to what your inner world is telling you. Whether it's a call toward sacred geometry, a pull to clean up your energetic environment, or an urge to live more authentically, these nudges aren’t random—they’re your soul leading the way. Instead of dismissing them, follow them. When you honor the quiet invitations of your inner self, you begin restoring reciprocity, alignment, and union with the divine. And when that happens, life shifts—internally first, then externally in ways you could never force through effort alone. Let’s Connect: Instagram | Facebook | YouTube | LinkedIn LIKED THE EPISODE? Tue, 23 Dec 2025 - 463 - Ep 453: Throwback To Ep7: How To Overcome The Fear Of Judgement
Start Your Transformation Now I’m sure you’ve already made dozens of judgments today about yourself and other people and people have already judged you about what you’re wearing or how you’re acting or what music you’re playing. Heck, you’ve probably judged this podcast! That’s because that’s what humans do. We judge. We are meaning-making machines! In this episode, you’ll discover that judging people and being judged is a part of the human experience and the most effective way to eliminate the fear of being judged is to accept it. I provide some key questions to ask yourself surrounding fears of abandonment and rejection that you won’t want to miss if you want to start living a fuller and more freedom-filled life. In this episode I discuss:Abandonment and Rejection—the two biggest fears we haveHow to get over people judging you for goodAre you judging yourself on externals? If so you’ll never be happy. Do this instead! Questions to ask yourself to finally eliminate the fear of judgment and rejection Listen, apply, and enjoy! Transformational Takeaway When people are judging you, how do you know to the exact degree that you’re being judged? 10%? 100%? The truth is you don’t know. If you’re not putting yourself out there yet, at what degree of judgment can you take action anyway, despite the judgment? When you’re only in a 100% judgment-free zone? Can you take action when you have 20% judgment? How will you know when to stop being in the fear of judgment? Hint: Now is a good time to let go of that fear. No matter what you do you’ll be judged. Thu, 18 Dec 2025 - 462 - Ep 452: Shaman's Tips for an Amazing 2026, pt. 8
Start Your Transformation Now In this profound continuation of the Shaman’s Tips for an Amazing 2026 series, Jim dives into the core teaching behind spiritual seniority—our true source of power, clarity, and creation. He explains why most people unknowingly give their seniority away by living entirely from their 3D identity and absorbing noise from the external world. Through stories, shamanic teachings, and real-life examples, Jim shows how forgetting who we are at the soul-level disconnects us from guidance, peace, and our ability to create an extraordinary life. Jim goes deeper into how the modern world has pulled us out of our center: social media, the 24/7 news cycle, hyperstimulation, and constant mental activity hijack attention and weaken our spiritual awareness. He shows how reclaiming seniority begins by stopping “the world”—reducing external input, grounding, getting quiet, and reconnecting to the silent intelligence within. This is the foundation for aligning with your spiritual essence and shaping 2026 from a place of inner authority. If you're ready to step out of mental chaos, reclaim your power, and access deeper guidance, this episode will help you return to your true nature. Seniority isn't something you earn—it’s something you remember. And when you remember it, everything in your external life begins to change. What You’ll Discover in This Episode: Why most people can’t access their spiritual seniority (02:49) Jim explains how identifying with the ego and 3D identity blinds us from experiencing our soul and its higher guidance. The two identities you’re living from—only one of them is real (09:01) You’ll learn the difference between your human container and your spiritual essence, and why confusing the two keeps you stuck. How modern life erodes your spiritual awareness (14:48) Jim breaks down how news, social media, overstimulation, and constant noise disconnect you from the inner silence needed for seniority. The shamanic mandate to “stop your world” (18:06) Discover Don Javier’s teaching on stopping the external world so you can change your internal world—and why this is the gateway to spiritual power. A 30-day practice to reclaim your seniority (20:59) Jim outlines a practical reset—removing social media, limiting news, grounding, and practicing silence—to help you reconnect with your soul. How silence reconnects you with divine intelligence (27:08) Hear why even five minutes of genuine stillness activates healing, clarity, and access to higher awareness. Listen, apply, and enjoy! Transformational Takeaway Your seniority isn’t lost—it's simply buried under noise, distraction, and over-identification with your 3D identity. When you stop the external world long enough to sit in silence, you open the door to guidance, healing, and deeper truth. Reclaim your power by turning inward. Remove the noise for 30 days, reconnect with the stillness within you, and you’ll rediscover the spiritual authority you’ve carried across lifetimes. From that place, 2026 becomes a year you create—not a year that happens to you. Let’s Connect: Instagram | Facebook | YouTube | LinkedIn LIKED THE EPISODE? Tue, 16 Dec 2025 - 461 - Ep 451: Throwback To Ep118: Getting Over Being Liked And Seeking Approval
Start Your Transformation Now Nothing sucks your life away like spending your days trying to be liked by everyone you meet, everyone in the office and people all around you. Without even recognizing it, many people will not engage in many things, like speaking up…because they want to be liked by others and they think if they speak up they will not be liked. The need to be liked plagues the planet at epic proportions and it’s one of the biggest things that debilitates lives. In this episode I talk about:[1:25] Why it’s so important to be liked[3:02] Why people hang onto it so dearly[9:37] Why people liking you is not about you[10:44] The illusion of being liked[20:50] No matter who you are, you’re not going to be liked by all[36:58] What it’s costing you to seek everyone’s likingAnd, much, much more… As you’re going to hear in this episode, no matter what you do, at least 30% of people you meet just aren’t going to like you. No matter what you do, there are some people who aren’t going to like what you do, so as you can see, trying to be liked by everyone is an illusion! Listen, apply, and enjoy! Transformational Takeaway Just be you. Those who like you will, and those who will not, will not. Thu, 11 Dec 2025 - 460 - Ep 450: Shaman's Tips For An Amazing 2026, pt.7
Start Your Transformation Now In this powerful continuation of the Shaman’s Tips for an Amazing 2026 series, Jim reveals why suffering is never random—and never caused by the world outside of us. Drawing from shamanic teachings, personal stories, and decades of transformational coaching, he explains that suffering always comes from one place: non-acceptance of the present moment. When we resist “what is,” attach to old identities, or expect life to match our internal model of how it should be, we create our own pain. Jim goes deeper into the role of attachment, identity, brain-based patterns, emotional habits, and inherited beliefs. He shows how these unconscious attachments keep people stuck in struggle—while believing the struggle is happening tothem. Through personal anecdotes, reflections on Don Javier’s teachings, and real-life examples, Jim helps listeners see how suffering dissolves the moment they stop resisting what’s here now. If you’re ready for a more peaceful, grounded, and empowered 2026, this episode will help you release the weight you’ve been carrying. When you understand how to accept your now—and consciously create from it—you step into true freedom. What You’ll Discover in This Episode: Why suffering is a choice—even when it doesn’t feel like one (02:52) Jim explains how all suffering comes from attachment and non-acceptance of the present, not from external circumstances. How identity keeps you stuck in old patterns (09:14) You’ll hear why your brain clings to familiar identities—even painful ones—and how this neurological wiring prevents change. Why you keep reliving the stories you grew up with (09:50) Jim breaks down how childhood conditioning around money, struggle, and self-worth becomes an unconscious template you repeat for decades. The real reason people resist change (12:13) Learn why the brain prioritizes predictability over happiness, and how this survival mechanism keeps you attached to what you say you don’t want. Why living in the past or future creates suffering (15:09) Jim shows how perceptions—not events—create emotional pain, especially when we compare the present to a different imagined reality. The freedom of living fully in the now (18:04) Discover shamanic perspectives on presence, including why Don Javier never takes photos—and how presence dissolves suffering instantly. Why “it is what it is” is a spiritual power tool (20:56) Jim explains how acceptance opens the door to creativity, peace, and personal freedom. How to stop fighting life and start creating from the present moment (23:16) You’ll learn how acceptance empowers you to change anything you don’t like—without attachment or emotional resistance. Listen, apply, and enjoy! Transformational Takeaway Suffering doesn’t come from your job, your past, your circumstances, or the world—it comes from resisting the present moment. When you accept your life exactly as it is, without judgment or attachment, you reclaim your power. From that place, you can create anything. Acceptance is not resignation; it is the gateway to transformation. When you stop fighting “what is,” you stop suffering—and you open the door to a wiser, freer, and more authentic version of yourself. Tue, 09 Dec 2025 - 459 - Ep 449: Throwback To Ep73: Are You A Cosmic Being?
Start Your Transformation Now You’ve probably heard people say, “We’re not human beings having a spiritual experience. We are spiritual beings having a human experience.” My challenge with this statement is that many people get trapped in the dogma of being “spiritual.” (Which is an episode in itself.) The way I experience life is that we are infinite cosmic beings who incarnate into bodies and in those bodies we learn to embrace dogma that keeps us blind and trapped for a lifetime. In this episode I talk about:[1:57] Why you’re not a spiritual being[3:42] Where you were before you got here[5:02] How you are not your body[7:29] The fact that we forget who we are after we’re born[8:40] How we become “domesticated” to life on the planet[12:04] How we get trapped in our 3D illusions of life[17:04] And, how the littlest part of us controls the totality of us. The majority of us are consumed with life experiences and situations that are driven by the smallest part of our being and we relinquish all our power to the smallest part of ourselves. Until we start working from the larger part of our cosmic and infinite selves we’re working against the nature of who we are and life can be very challenging. Listen, apply, and enjoy! Transformational Takeaway You are a cosmic being and all the daily stuff you get trapped in IS inconsequential and a waste of your life force and energy. Thu, 04 Dec 2025 - 458 - Ep 448: Shaman's Tips For An Amazing 2026, pt.6
Start Your Transformation Now In this episode of The Jim Fortin Podcast, Jim continues his Shaman’s Tips for an Amazing 2026 series with Part 6, and this time he dives into one of Don Javier’s most direct teachings: you only get the results in life when you pay the price. Drawing from decades of spiritual apprenticeship, personal stories, and ancient energetic principles, Jim unpacks what “paying the price” truly means—not just mechanically, but energetically, emotionally, and spiritually. Jim explains why most people never get what they want: not because they lack ability, but because they refuse to exchange the energy required for the outcome. He reveals how convenience, inconsistency, unfocused attention, emotional waste, and old identity patterns keep people stuck—despite their intentions. Whether talking about money, health, relationships, or spiritual evolution, Jim shows that reciprocity governs everything in the universe. If you’re ready to understand why effort alone is not enough—and how to align your energy, attention, and intention to truly receive what you seek—this episode offers profound clarity and practical direction. Listen in to discover why nothing changes until you change your energetic exchange. What You’ll Discover in This Episode: Why nothing works without energetic reciprocity (01:18) Jim explains that every outcome—material or spiritual—requires an exchange of energy, and why people fail when they try to bypass this universal law. The real reason most people don’t pay the price (04:32) You’ll learn how convenience, emotional resistance, and fear of discomfort sabotage progress long before physical effort even begins. The difference between mechanical effort and energetic effort (09:50) Jim breaks down how intention, attention, emotions, and identity play a bigger role than “grinding,” and why results depend on the energy behind your actions. Why consistency is the true spiritual price (13:45) Discover why starting strong but quitting early is a neurological pattern—not a personal flaw—and how consistency becomes the key spiritual currency. How younger spiritual seekers get stuck (16:58) Jim shares Don Javier’s observations about “the new kids on the block”—highly gifted but unwilling to do the internal work required for advancement. Managing your energy like a shaman (22:30) Learn how energy leaks—news, social media, emotions, addictions—drain your spiritual power and block your ability to create. Jim reveals how shamans conserve energy to expand their influence. Listen, apply, and enjoy! Transformational Takeaway Everything in life requires an exchange—materially, emotionally, and spiritually. You cannot receive without giving, and the universe never bypasses reciprocity. When you learn to master your attention, your intention, your emotions, and your energy, you begin paying the real price for the outcomes you say you want. The moment you stop looking for convenience and start managing your energy wisely, you unlock the path to the spiritual expansion, abundance, and freedom you’ve been seeking. Start Your Transformation Now You’ve heard it since you were a kid, “Be responsible,” however, have you ever sat with that concept and fully explored its meaning in your own life?Responsibility is a master key in life and what you create is what you’re 100% responsible for creating or not. One of my clients once said, “Wow, when I live from being 100% responsible for my life I feel like I can do anything.” He embodied the characteristic and he 10 X his business growth in 3 years. And, what he did, you can do! In this episode I talk about:[5:55] Where you’ll be next year is 100% contingent on what you’re being responsible for[12:22] To what degree are you responsible for your own personal evolution[14:04] Why blame is victim mentality[16:09] The relationship between success and responsibility[19:05] What victim mentality looks like And, what 100% responsibility looks like. Harry Truman said it best, “The buck stops here,” and when you embody that characteristic and way of BEing, your life will change dramatically. Listen, apply, and enjoy! Thu, 27 Nov 2025 - 456 - Ep 446: Shaman's Tips For An Amazing 2026, pt.5
Start Your Transformation Now In this episode of The Jim Fortin Podcast, Jim continues his Shaman’s Tips for an Amazing 2026 series with Part 5, focusing on one of Don Javier’s most powerful teachings: the illusion that keeps you powerless. Building on previous episodes, Jim breaks down how we unknowingly give away our power—bit by bit—to the noise, expectations, and opinions of the world around us. Jim explains how most people want change but refuse to change themselves, and how true transformation begins when you “stop your world.” Through personal stories, real-life examples, and profound Toltec wisdom, he reveals how fear, external validation, and inherited beliefs create a collage of other people’s expectations—leaving many feeling empty, stuck, or disconnected from their true desires. If you’re ready to reclaim your intentions, stop living by illusions, and return to your inner power, this episode offers a clear, practical path forward. What You’ll Discover in This Episode: Stopping your world to transform your life (02:10) Jim unpacks Don Javier’s core teaching that all meaningful change begins by pausing long enough to see how you’re giving away your personal power. Why fear keeps you stuck (05:01) Learn why most people cling to the familiar—even when it’s painful—and how fear of the unknown prevents true evolution. How you unknowingly give others your power (09:32) Discover the subtle ways you hand over your desires, choices, and direction to the “tribe,” social expectations, and cultural conditioning. The illusion that shapes your reality (17:28) Jim explains how illusions are nothing more than thoughts—and how invisible, inherited beliefs quietly control your life. Choice: your greatest spiritual tool (22:44) Explore why choice, not circumstance, determines your freedom, and how remembering this immediately shifts you from victim to creator. A five-minute practice to reclaim your power (27:40) Jim shares a simple daily exercise for stillness that reconnects you with divine mind, clarity, and your true inner guidance. Listen, apply, and enjoy! Transformational Takeaway To change your world, you must first stop your world. When you pause long enough to see the illusions running your life—old identities, labels, fears, and external expectations—you awaken the power to choose differently. Every moment of silence brings you back to your true self, and from that place, transformation becomes not only possible, but inevitable. Tue, 25 Nov 2025 - 455 - Ep 445: Throwback To Ep241: “Are You Excessively Spending Or Investing Your Life?
Start Your Transformation Now When you think of spending and investing, what do you think of? Most of us think of investing as a good and smart thing, and spending, especially excessively, as a bad thing. Right? How about we put this into a new perspective? How about your thoughts, thinking, and emotions? What if we put the old-fashioned “swear jar” on the counter, as a metaphor? With the “swear jar,” each time you said a bad word you have to put a dollar into it. And, of course, this means there is a cost to using bad words. Actually, there is a loss of that dollar from your pocket. Now, what about your thoughts? What if all disempowering, fearful, and negative thoughts cost you? And, the reverse, all positive thoughts were an investment in a better quality of life? What if every time you had a negative thought and got into fear you spent your life and when you were positive in your thinking you were investing in your life? In this episode, I talk about a few strategies to interrupt your negative thoughts. These steps are: AwarenessConscious choice to move your attention Where to move your attention and moving it GratitudeAnd, Repetition When you practice what you’re going to learn in this episode it can make a huge difference in your life.
