Performing under my artist alias Jay Kobo, this is my contribution to this year’s Illogic Summer Fest, hosted by Illogic Radio in Rome, Italy this past Tuesday. Inspired by the iconic pandemic-era video of an Italian DJ lifting spirits by playing Alice Deejay – Better Off Alone from his balcony which started off a chain of "balcony raves" around the globe during lock downs, I crafted this set as an emotional homage to that powerful moment of resilience, and connection. The mix is a celebration of unity, love, and peace—opening with vocal trance and timeless uplifting anthems that evoke the warm, carefree energy of late summer, then building into a driving techno finale with full-on “let’s rave” energy. Massive thanks to the Illogic crew for the opportunity! This set starts at 140 BPM ends at 150 BPM. Track List: 01. Philippe El Sisi & Sarah Russell - You Are (Steve Dekay Extended Mix)02. Releasing another fan favourite to celebrate my birthday weekend. Crafted as a musical time capsule for my newborn son in 2005, it was a personal project, enhanced by DJ Sheenz’s epic drops. Initially overlooked, it exploded in popularity, with over a million seeding the file for months and countless heartfelt emails from fans worldwide on this specific set for years. It’s humbling to know this set introduced many to EDM and became a soundtrack to positive memories of youth and friendship. For a DJ, there’s no greater honour than crafting a set that resonates and creates lasting memories. Music is a cycle of energy, and I’m grateful to contribute positively to our collective journey. Here’s to reliving those moments and looking forward to new ones!    Track List: 01. Lost Witness feat. Tiff Lacey - Home (Original Mix)02. Nu NRG - Dreamland03. This episode takes us back to the peak of Global Trance Sessions. Originally aired on May 17th, 2009, on Energy 105.1FM Toronto, it features two hours of the best classic trance tracks from 2005 to 2009. Paul Oakenfold was initially scheduled to guest star in this episode. However, he accepted an invitation to tour with Madonna about a week after I sent the invite and couldn’t commit. To make up for it, I packed the first hour with some of the biggest classics in the genre. Marcie Joy, a good friend and a vocalist signed under Oakenfold’s label Perfecto at the time, dropped a congratulatory shout-out in this episode as a consolation. Unfortunately, I don’t have a track list for this episode, but if you love trance from 2005 to 2009, you’ll absolutely LOVE this episode.   ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- You can find Global Trance Sessions on the following streaming portals:
