Late Nite Harp

A lovely, delicate, positive piece which reminds me of friends sharing joy together. Those moments when you look into each other's hearts and souls and realise that you're home, you're loved and you're laughing and smiling with joy, just by being in their company. It's a beautiful, giggly, wonderful feeling. Let's all be joyful mirrors for each other.

Simple, soothing harp melodies for people wanting to de-stress and feel unburdened. The rhythm is slow and steady, like a heartbeat in the cosmos. It's going to take you on a magical journey up into the stars. Settle in and relax into this watery soundtrack.

This harp music ebbs and flows like the waves. Its mood changes, as does its rhythm. It's calming and meditative and explores a range of melodies and chord progressions. I find it so healing to listen to. It's a hug, a safe space, a place to fly.

My music ministry takes me into Trinity Hospice, where I meet people one week, who aren't there the next. Sometimes they pass away quickly. I met lovely Richard last week. We were going to have a jam session this week with his guitar and my harp, but over the weekend he passed away. So this song is for him. Travel well dear Richard, it was nice meeting you. God bless.

The rains have returned here in the north of England. This piece is inspired by raindrops. There's a relaxing pitter patter of harp strings. The music is dreamy, delicate and calming. Sometimes the sun comes out. Coupled with the music is a gorgeous rain soundscape. I love the sound of the rain, especially when I'm snuggled up inside. Enjoy this pensive, tranquil piece.

Listen out for the sound of my F string breaking. It only happens once every ten years, so I was lucky to be recording at the time.

A flowing, rhythmical piece, where I imagine someone on a swing, breeze in their hair, relaxed and swinging in the air with a big smile on their face. It's a chance to reset from the chaos of the day and feel the flow of fun again.

I imagine a bird taking flight, when I listen to this music. Wings outstretched, ready to soar high. It's a bright and shining little piece. Listen for an uplift and to reignite your day with joy.

A sweet, shining piece, with some melancholy too. I imagine someone leaving home to go on a voyage of learning, self discovery and adventure. Like the hobbits did! Through lush countryside and a valley of birdsong, over green hills and across babbling brooks, this harp journey brings you into your heart.

Sweeping harp, full of energy and vigour plus delightful birdsong to help you start your day with happiness and joy. These birds were recorded in the Yorkshire Dales at dawn. May your day be filled with love.

Drift up and fly amongst the sparkling stars, it's dreamy up there. It's peaceful and soft. You are weightless, relaxed and you have nothing to worry about. Hopefully you will be taken off into the land of sleep sometime soon.

This special piece is dedicated to Victoria, a lovely lady, who I played harp for, a few days before she passed away after a long battle with cancer. She was young and left two daughters behind as well as a loving husband and family. It's her funeral today and I'm sending loving prayers to all those grief stricken with her passing. She was an angel. God bless you Victoria.

I love this piece of music so much. It's bright yet meditative and has some gorgeous scale progressions helping you to soar and fly. Listen for sacred connection and for relaxation and meditation. Recently, I visited The Cotswolds, an area of outstanding beauty, in the rolling, green hills of England. There was so much exquisite birdsong there. Here is an early morning robin, I recorded, along with some melodic harp music to brighten your day. They go so well together. It's one of my favourite pieces.

This harp music is slowed down by half to create a more ambient sound. It arrives in deep, melodic waves and I imagine the golden sun rising over green hills. Glorious birdsong accompanies the piece. There are so many songbirds singing. How many different birds can you hear? I hope you feel energised and yet peaceful by its close.

I can hear many things as I listen to this morning wakeup music; rolling waves, the sun as it rises, a choir of angels, the breeze in the trees, a dawn chorus. It's full of energetic sparkly bits and bright melodies. Listen for an uplifting start to the day.

An ethereal piece of music with lots of soft, soaring melodies taking you up to the stars. I'm imagining the aurora dancing in the sky as snowflakes fall and a soft blanket of snow covers the ground. It's a place of peace and tranquillity here. 

Flowing, soaring, magical harp, which builds and flies and sends you up to celestial realms to be with angels. Go seek out a place full of love and support. I'm feeling nourished by morning sunrays beaming onto me on a cold, colourful, autumnal day.

I was called to pour my heart out into this music, after hearing about the death of Mikayla Raines from Save a Fox.

Mikayla was a bright soul, with a young daughter, a husband, and countless animals, who relied upon her. She touched my heart and the hearts of millions and I am at a loss over her tragic passing and feel so completely broken for all those affected by her death, both human and animal.

This music is for all those who have lost and are dealing with grief. May her spirit continue to shine brightly and her family feel comforted by angels. How utterly devastating it is. No words can express this loss, so I put it into music.

Hey darlings, this new piece came to me yesterday. I think it's really special. It's about grief and resilience, coming to terms and striving forward. Sometimes, it can be one step forward and two steps back, when it comes to life. We are living and struggling and succeeding together. The winds grow cooler but the sun is still warm. Autumn approaches, dancing with us and with her leaves. I love this combo of harp, effects and birdsong. The music gives a powerful pop as the harp flies through the key of C Major/A Minor. How many different birds can you hear? 🎶

It's a place to feel set free and held. I love how emotive and pensive it is. Brooding and cascading. Like we can be. This harp journey came to me after five challenging weeks in Scotland. The difficulties and solitude I experienced were coupled with experiences of magical sunsets and seashore walks. So much beauty and so much sadness all rolled into one. Wow. This piece is in the Romanian Scale - D Dorian, which is the fourth mode of A Harmonic Minor.

A deep, emotive piece. In A Harmonic Minor. The first I've recorded since spending five weeks in Scotland, in challenging circumstances. The magic abounds up there, the sunsets are divine, the air fresh and healing. This piece is about nostalgia, confronting chaos, over coming troubles, then flying free. Without the dark we cannot truly appreciate the light. 

This little piece is set against a backdrop of exquisite birdsong - in particular, a wren and a song thrush. This glorious birdsong was recorded by myself in Yorkshire when I was on holiday there recently. I just love how the sounds meld together - it's a cacophony of magical melodies, happy harmonies, and riveting resonance.

This piece is in the mysterious E Harmonic Minor. Let it awaken your senses. There are a couple of minutes of pure birdsong to finish.

A piece in D Harmonic Minor. Mysterious, full of fortitude and reverb, I use this in an affirmation track I made about trusting oneself and the flow of life. You can listen to it here. It's passionate, with a fast tempo and I'm grateful to have found these melodies. Enjoy.

A relaxing, enchanting little piece about droplets of magical, healing water. Come bathe in their glorious embrace. Open your arms to a warm rain shower. Dance in their happy vibrations. Flourish and rejuvenate like a lovely flower. Feel refreshed and cleansed by a bit of melodic harp love. 

This lush, tropical harp journey is a relaxing, wonderful ride. Soar up to the treetops in this magical world, dance in the rain, and listen to insects chirp, birds sing and frogs croak. There may even be a monkey or two. Reset and bathe in natural sounds. Feel rejuvenated and fill yourself up with pure, vibrating, heavenly melodies.

This is a short harp reset using two chords in the key of F# Minor. Nourishing vibrations and resonance echo out with the harp strings. Take it all in. It's ethereal, celestial and helps refresh your senses and attitude by focusing on two simple chords. Get out of your mind and flow with the soft, enchanting music. Life can be so complicated so reset your mind to simplicity.

I love this harp journey featuring a wolf soundscape. The harp melodies and ethereal wolf howls intertwine so beautifully together. It's like they were always meant to be connected.

Happy Friday! This is a gloriously sweeping harp journey full of joy and vibrancy. It ebbs and flows and has an uplifting energy to it as it dances across the strings. It's also pensive and emotive and offers you a warm, wise embrace. Listen to connect with your inner flow. Enjoy swimming in this ethereal cathedral in a far off realm. An exploration of the C Major modes. 

This harp journey was recorded on the Summer Solstice 2023. It's a vibrant, joyful offering (in E Major & its modes) with some incredible birdsong to accompany it. The birdsong was recorded by me, out of my window, at 3 am in Glasgow City, a couple of years ago Amazingly, even in the city there can be wonderful, peaceful, natural moments. And seagulls! Lots of seagulls. They make an appearance, laughing a little but the blackbird takes centre stage as its exquisite melodies echo off the buildings. I loved my time in Glasgow and this was one of the dawn highlights.

This is a soothing piece of music, which will lull you into relaxation like the waves of the ocean. It's a lament so it's pensive and emotive. What is this mermaid lamenting I wonder? Is she yearning for someone, does she feel completely free? You decide. This delicate harp song is a special offering of healing for you.

Happy Saturday! I love recording my harp practises because I'm relaxed, exploratory and less tense. Wrong notes don't matter, they're encouraged. In fact, as new melodies spring out of accidental notes the looser, more intrigued I become. Here's a little practise from tonight. I'm experimenting with strong, cosmic reverb (which I usually leave for my Cosmic Harp tracks)- it has super duper spacey resonance. Most of the time I'm just trying to tame this reverb because often it gets out of control so I have to temper my playing and the decay. I like this practise sound, I'm going with it.

This piece was inspired by a healing session I held about miracles, divine intervention and the serendipitous magic we experience at times in our lives.
 
It's in F# minor/A major and weaves in and out of the modes in that key. It's angelic, mystical and glorious. It's got excitement and emotion. The reverberation has serious majesty.
 
The cover was a miraculous moment. A swan, a harp, a forest and I, all meeting together for a graceful rendezvous.
