  • 138 - Nancy Howard-The Harrowing Tale of Murder for Hire and Living to Tell About It

In this week's episode, we are discussing Nancy Howard, who was shot in the face by a man who was hired by her husband. She survived the almost fatal wound and was able to have her day in court. This is a tale of betrayal, greed, deception and ultimately attempted murder.  This episode was recorded live at Henry's Majestic in Dallas, TX on May 2, 2024. We did enjoy a Chardonnay from Horshoe Bend along with grilled Chili-Lime Chicken Skewers accompanied by Cilantro Lime Pearl Couscous and a refreshing Jicama salad.

  • 137 - James & Jennifer Crumbley - The Oxford School Shooting

This week we discuss a controversial ruling in the Court that held James and Jennifer Crumbley criminally responsible in the Oxford School Shooting in Michigan. Their son, 15-year old Ethan Crumbley, killed four students on November 30, 2021. The gun Ethan had hidden is his backpack, was purchased four days earlier by his father. Do you agree with the Court's ruling? Has a precedent now been set to make parents more aware of gun safety in their home? This is the story of James and Jennifer Crumbley.

  • 135 - Ebby Steppach - Little Rock

Thank you to the Female Mentor Podcast for having me as a guest and discussing the Ebby Steppach case. Ebby was 18-years old when she was senselessly taken from her family. Ebby is reported missing in October 2015, and in 2018, her body is found only 60 feet from where her car was parked. The medical examiner classified her death as a homicide. This case remains unsolved. What happened to Ebby Steppach?

Ebby, happy heavenly birthday. Your family and the community will never stop looking for the person that took you from this earth.

  • 134 - Scott Peterson - the disappearance and murder of Laci Peterson

This week we discuss the disappearance and murder of Laci Peterson. Her husband, Scott Peterson,  was convicted of killing Laci, and their unborn child, Conner. Laci was 8 months pregnant when she was reported missing on Christmas Eve, 2002. Her stepfather reported her missing after Scott Peterson called the family after 4 PM on Christmas Eve. Four months later, Laci and Conner's bodies wash up on the shores of San Francisco Bay.

The LA Innocence Project has picked up Scott's case and wants new evidence tested. He has always maintained his innocence. It will be interesting to see what comes out of these hearings, and what new evidence will be revealed.
