New episodes weekly!
- 81 - Malcolm in the Middle S3 E21 - Cliques
Today on YNM we’re talking about episode 321… CLIQUES! The sibs get a little delirious on this one as we wade through this excellent episode of Malcolm while finding some time to chat about Marvel, homemade weaponry, and some post-vacation reflections that we’ve brought up for the last three weeks. Sorry! We record these all at once! For some reason this is the hardest description I’ve ever had to write. Please enjoy the episode. As always, this episode was recorded at Gotham Production studios in Manhattan. Book a studio here: https://www.gothamproductionstudios.com/
Tue, 08 Sep 2026 - 80 - 'Hal Is Not Insane' Confirms Malcolm in the Middle Writer Eric Kaplan
We bagged another writer on this week's episode of Yes, No, Maybe! Eric Kaplan is the writer of Dirty Magazine, Victor's Other Family, Dewey's Opera, Ida's Dance, Blackout, and Hal Grieves. He has written for many other beloved and hilarious TV shows over the course of his incredible career AND he managed to get PhD in philosophy from UC Berkeley... kinda insane. We were thrilled to get into Eric's take on the Malcolm writer's room, a bit of Linwood lore, philosophical musings on these characters, and more during this episode. HUGE shoutout to his NEW ANIMATION STUDIO Kap Knap, found here: https://www.youtube.com/@Kapknap They just launched their first show "My Friend Coffee", which we talk about in the interview! As always, this episode is a part of the Gotham Podcast Network and was recorded at their production studio in Manhattan. Book a studio here: https://www.gothamproductionstudios.com
Mon, 31 Aug 2026 - 79 - Malcolm in the Middle S3 E20 - Jury Duty
Guilty!! And the charge? Another banger episode of YNM! I love writing descriptions!! Today on YNM the sibs talk about a classic Kwepisode, JURY DUTY, which includes an all-timer Francis subplot and finds Lois in a riff on Sidney Lumet's amazing 12 Angry Men. Love this episode. We hope you enjoy! As always, this episode is a part of the Gotham Podcast Network and was recorded at their production studio in Manhattan. Tue, 25 Aug 2026 - 78 - Malcolm in the Middle S3E19 - Clip Show
It's Oops All Clips this week. And by clips they of course mean cold opens. Lois, we miss you doll. ^^ Complete nonsense sentence to anyone not familiar with S3E19 of Malcolm in the Middle. Ryan and Willa are stepping it UP and recording DOWN in Gotham Production Studios this week and for all weeks to come. It's about damn time we actually look good and sound even better. Willa calls this episode of Malcolm "their most psychological yet" and then immediately backs down. But there is psychology goin' around thanks to guest star Andy "Daly" Richter. Ryan makes at least 2 major mistakes this episode, bonus points if people can point out more in the comments! Love you all; we were incredibly saddened to hear about Hayden Panettiere's passing this week and want to acknowledge her fantastic contribution to this wonderful show we all adore. <3 This show is part of the Gotham Network, you can record your podcast at gothamproductionstudios.com
Mon, 17 Aug 2026 - 77 - Malcolm in the Middle S3E18 - Poker #2
Royal flush (poker term)!! Today on YNM, Willa and Ryan discuss Season 3's "Poker #2," a sequel to the classic Ken Kwapis joint "Poker" from earlier this season! And like every sequel to a perfect object, there's a high bar to clear. Do they do it? Look... I don't know. No. Is that what you want to hear? But it's a fun episode anyway! And a totally bizarre one! Malcolm fires a live pistol into his family home and nearly kills Abe! Willa and I are sort of all over the place this ep, but in fairness it was 1000 degrees when we recorded it. Please enjoy! Recorded at Gotham Production Studios in Manhattan. Book a recording space here: https://www.gothamproductionstudios.com/
Mon, 10 Aug 2026 - 76 - Eric Nenninger on Why Cadet Eric's Life Was Absolute Hell
This week, the siblings (us) got to talk to one of our absolute favorite Malcolm in the Middle actors: Eric Nenninger. He plays none other than Cadet Eric Hanson, a sensitive yet misguided boy who is unfortunately linked to one of humanity's most desperate creatures: Francis. We had a hoot chatting with Eric about his time on Malcolm, and what it was like to return to the show that shaped him. Finally we get to the bottom of questions like: is Francis popular? Why is Eric in military school? Have you seen the Bernard Unit in person? This and so much more in our exclusive interview with Eric Nenninger. Big thanks to Eric for taking the time to chat with us!! ENJOY. This podcast is part of the Gotham Network. Record your podcast at gothamproductionstudios.com
Thu, 06 Aug 2026 - 75 - Malcolm in the Middle Composer Talks Iconic Soundtrack, Candyman, and They Might Be Giants
Today on Yes No Maybe we are joined by the illustrious CHARLES SYDNOR, the composer and music editor for Malcolm in the Middle. This episode is focused on two things: NUTS. AND BOLTS. We get into the specifics of Charlie’s job, working with They Might Be Giants, arranging the iconic Candyman sequence, and conceptualization/execution of a personal favorite episode, OPERA. Charlie gives insight into the music department of MitM, working with Linwood, and how the whole dang sausage is made. This is a pretty special, very nerdy episode of Yes No Maybe and we had such a great time chatting with Charlie. Check out Charlie’s current music under the name Maxi Waterbear! Mon, 27 Jul 2026 - 74 - Malcolm in the Middle S3E17- Dewey's Dog
Dewey's Dog. Dewey is Dog. Dog is Dewey. Dewey is God. You understand? We don't. Willa and Ryan tackle, but fail to push over, episode 17 of season 3. A fantastic ep that reminds us just how horrible Reese and Malcolm can be, and just how good a dog can stink. Hal and Lois attempt to rekindle the spark in their marriage that was brutally extinguished by Hal saying the all-too-common phrase "bye guy" and SPANGLER returns one last time to seek revenge on the insolent Francis. Writers Glouberman and Orenstein knock it out of the park and director Bob Stevens puts the cherry on top. Mmm cake. <3 you all, love you Marshmallow, and Ohhh Hallll This podcast is a part of the Gotham Network. Record your podcast at Gothamproductionstudios.com
Mon, 20 Jul 2026 - 73 - 316 - Hal Coaches
RED CARD! That's right folks, Hal's teaching Dewey's soccer team, and your favorite sibs are back to unpack the whole dang thing. This episode, Reese blackmails an elderly man, Piama threatens the life of Lavernia's parakeet, and Malcolm's virtual self drinks himself to death. Meanwhile, Willa and Ryan get into such topics AS playing imaginary, Willa's inability to freestlye, our family therapist Bob, and SO MUCH MORE! really fun ep. I'm editing this from Italy which should say a lot about my dedication to this podcast and to you, the viewer. Do NOT take that for granted. Ever. This podcast is part of the Gotham Network. Mon, 13 Jul 2026 - 72 - INTERVIEW: Ken Kwapis Returns! (Director)
The Kwap is back. And this time? It's personal. Well, this time it's about the revival and we can talk spoilers, but potato potahto. Ken Kwapis is the legendary director of classic Malcolm eps like Hal Quits, If Boys Were Girls, Family Reunion... the hits keep coming. Which is exactly why he was tapped to direct the Malcolm in the Middle Revival series Life's Still Unfair. We recorded this interview a few weeks after the Revival dropped, so we were able to dig deep into the storylines with Ken. This is the cherry on top of our Revival-Palooza: getting to talk to the man who directed the return of this series and who has such a profound connection to the world of Malcolm. I'll say it in this podcast description for the whole world to see, We're in love with Ken Kwapis. Thank you to Ken for chatting and to Jeff for organizing this epic sequel. We hope you all enjoy! Tue, 07 Jul 2026 - 71 - 315 - Hal's Birthday
HAPPY BIRTHDAY HAL! We hope you enjoy your gift: your three sons max out your credit card while the electrical company is threatening to shut off your power and your oldest son has gotten married in secret. Today the sibs discuss a great episode of MitM -- written by friend of the pod Alex Reid, no less -- which has a KILLER cold open and follows it up with a pretty damn strong episode. We discuss: plans for Hal's birthday, O'Teilly Jackson, and.... some other stuff that is escaping my mind at the moment. We cover a lot. This show is part of the Gotham Network Record your podcast at Gotham: https://www.gothamproductionstudios.com
Mon, 29 Jun 2026 - 70 - 314 - Cynthia's Back
Well gents, we're about as respectful as we can be given the subject matter of this episode. I'm frankly very proud of us. Cynthia is BACK and she's got 80085. That's a little joke for those of you who ever had a calculator. We have fun here don't we? One of the best Lois/Hal interactions ever is in this ep, and also my boy Hal flies a kite. Reese is a total pig and it disappointed us big time. This show is part of the Gotham Network. Record your podcast at Gotham: https://www.gothamproductionstudios.com
Tue, 23 Jun 2026 - 69 - INTERVIEW: Kiana Madeira (Tristan)
Today on YNM we had the honor of speaking with Kiana Madeira, aka Malcolm's girlfriend Tristan from Life's Still Unfair. We cover the whirlwind that was getting cast in the revival as a lifelong fan of MitM, what it was like to work with this incredible cast, and of course we had to unpack the whole Titty Titty Bang Bang situation. Huge THANK YOU to Kiana and her team for being so cool, this was a really fun conversation. As always, this podcast is supported by the Gotham Podcast Network.
Tue, 16 Jun 2026 - 68 - INTERVIEW: Alex Reid (Writer)
BUCKLE UP. We're talking to the wonderful and brilliant Alex Reid, writer of CLASSIC episodes like Lois's Birthday, Family Reunion, Carnival, Bully, Book Club, Clip Show, and more. He won an Emmy for penning the episode Bowling, and went on to write or direct for shows like the Mindy Project, Brooklyn Nine-Nine, and Young Sheldon. He's an absolute chiller, as all the people who helped make Malcolm in the Middle are. We grill Alex about life in the Linwood writers room and get into how these episodes were put together: from outline to final script. Alex gives insight into things we didn't even realize to ask about, like whose feet are ACTUALLY being rubbed in Old Mrs. Old? And who is doing the dang rubbing?? This, and more, in our fabulous chat with The Reidster. He doesn't know I just called him that. Enjoy! Mon, 15 Jun 2026 - 67 - 313 - Reese Drives
Rrrrrreese Drives! (engine noise) ... Today on Yes No Maybe, the sibs talk about episode 13 of season 3, in which Francis spins an intricate web of false promises, Malcolm builds an audiovisual palace with Craig, and Reese kidnaps a girl in his godless pursuit to obtain a driver's license! Bit of a shorter episode this week, but dense with tantalizing insights and laugh-out-loud-funny moments. As always, this show is produced by the Gotham Podcast Network.
Mon, 01 Jun 2026 - 66 - 311 + 312 - Company Picnic
Company Picnic Part 1 AND Part 2? In one episode? Written by the dog himself Al Higgins? Strap in YNMers. Willa and Ryan had to close the window due to the noise of planes flying overhead so the room RAPIDLY increased in temperature while their commentary RAPIDLY decreased in coherence. This is the Superbowl episode folks. And it shows. Hal desperately tries to avoid Stephen Root while Susan Sarandon menaces Lois leaving a helpless candy addict Dewey to relapse which makes Malcolm yell GARY SPINDLER? in the woods where Reese sticks close to his big guy George. Oh, and Francis is living in hell of course. Don't believe me? Watch the damn episode. ENJOY! This show is part of the Gotham Network Record your podcast at Gotham: https://www.gothamproductionstudios.com
Tue, 26 May 2026 - 65 - 310 - Lois' Makeover
Willa and Ryan make a triumphant return to finally talking about an actual episode again. Man does it feel good. In this poignant and bitingly funny episode, the siblings cover an episode where Francis kills rats, Lois gets a hideous makeover, and Hal plays dirty in basketball. Topics include: the gross leftover parfait in the cold open that Ryan thinks looks good, our geography teacher Rob who Willa thought was hot, and our pitches for some tweaks we'd make on this episode. Wow. Good to be back. Yes No Maybe is a part of the Gotham Podcast Network.
Mon, 18 May 2026 - 64 - INTERVIEW: Tracy Katsky Boomer (Executive Producer)
Tracy Katsky Boomer Intro GONE WRONG!!! That's what this episode SHOULD be called because Willa whiffed the beginning of what is otherwise a beautiful and insightful podcast episode. It's okay Willa, we still love you. And boy do we love Tracy for sitting down with us to talk about the immense impact she has had on this series. You reading this may not know all that she has done for the Malcolm universe, but you WILL and you will be like HOLY SHIT. Tracy has also just personally been incredibly gracious and welcoming to Ryan and I, we owe her a lot and are so grateful for her friendship. Now enough sappy crap. Listen to the ep. Mon, 11 May 2026 - 63 - INTERVIEW: Linwood Boomer (MitM Creator)
Ladies and gentlemen, we got him. Today on an incredibly special episode of Yes No Maybe, Ryan and Willa sit down with the creator of Malcolm in the Middle and ask him every question we've ever wanted answered. Topics include: Linwood's inspiration for Malcolm in the Middle, a life-changing drug trip, that episode where Hal makes Lois fat, and whether Malcolm has a future in politics. This was a totally surreal and amazing experience. Still can't believe it happened. We got Linwood!!!! Thanks to the Gotham Podcast Network for helping produce the show! This episode was recorded at Gotham Podcast Studio in Manhattan.
Mon, 04 May 2026 - 62 - INTERVIEW: Vaughan Murrae (Kelly)
The child that was promised. The final NoLastName kid. KELLY. Ryan and Willa had the pleasure of sitting down with the unbelievably lovely Vaughan Murrae who plays the last of Hal and Lois's kids, Kelly. We talk Life's Still Unfair, fandoms, dark Sims deeds, and a very memorable audition experience. Big thank you to Vaughan and their team for making this happen. We feel like we have a much deeper understanding of who Kelly is and what went into bringing them to life after this interview: and you will too! Vaughan clearly has a bright exciting career ahead of them. We'll be able to look back at this interview someday and say... damn we had VAUGHAN MURRAE on the pod?? Enjoy!! Mon, 04 May 2026 - 61 - Life's Still Unfair: Ep 3 + 4 (SPOILERS)
Willa and Ryan go in depth on the final two episodes of LIFE'S STILL UNFAIR, which they both agree are the superior episodes in an overall killer revival. Craig's a DJ, Leah's crush is a creep, Lois is critically injured in a car wreck, and Malcolm finally gets a weight off his shoulders. What a ride! Hope you guys enjoy the ep. Sun, 26 Apr 2026 - 60 - Life's Still Unfair: Ep 1 + 2 (SPOILERS)
You've seen it, we've seen it, let's talk about it. Willa and Ryan go in depth on Life's Still Unfair Episodes 1 and 2. Malcolm is a hot mess (unsurprising), Reese is using Hal for internet fame (typical), and Stevie has a gay ableist husband (tough). At least one thing is clear: Willa was right about "Homeo". Please enjoy our unfiltered thoughts on the Revival. We feel so lucky people care enough to listen. Everyone will have different opinions on this series, and that's okay! Check out our new Subreddit started by a fabulous fan at r/YesNoMaybePod, keep an eye out for some insane interviews dropping soon, and stay sexy like Newey (New Dewey). Mon, 20 Apr 2026 - 59 - INTERVIEW: Bryan Cranston
Guys... we did it. Today on Yes No Maybe we sat down with the legend himself BRYAN CRANSTON to talk OG Malcolm in the Middle, the revival, and everything in between. HUGE thank you to Bryan and his team for being so generous with their time and setting the bar really high for where we go from here. I mean... how did this even happen? We honestly don't know. We knew this guy was charismatic but WOW were we rattled by his charm. I mean come on. It's Bryan Cranston. And he's talking to US!! We're idiots!! Thank you to the Gotham Podcast Network for producing the episode. This episode was recorded at Gotham Production Studios in NYC. Couldn't have done it without them.
Tue, 14 Apr 2026 - 58 - Revival Reactions! (SPOILER-FREE)
We've seen it. ALL OF IT. Ryan and Willa were lucky duckies and got sent the revival episodes a few weeks ago. Aren't they amazing at keeping a secret?? All the characters you know and love are in TOP form across this series and there will be MUCH to discuss once we can really talk about it, but for now? Here are our initial thoughts and feelings after seeing Lois, Hal, Malcolm, Dewey, Reese, Francis, Piama, Jamie and many more once again. Now here's something that's also new: This show is part of the Gotham Network. Record your podcast at Gotham: https://www.gothamproductionstudios.com
Thu, 09 Apr 2026 - 57 - 309 - Reese's Job
Reese has entered the working world. Dear God have mercy on us all. Dewey's keepin' a fish alive against all odds. Malcolm meets a worthy opponent in the form of a 9 year old. And Stinky Pete orders a bride. Dude, they should hire ME to write the summaries of these eps wtf. Ryan and Willa chat about exciting YNM developments and dive deep into the psychology of Herkabee. Enjoy!!
Mon, 30 Mar 2026 - 56 - 308 - Poker
ROYAL FLUSH! (poker term) ... this week the sibs talk about episode 8 of season 3, titled "Poker," in what has to be the worst episode of this podcast we have ever released. Maybe "worst" is a strong word, but boy are we loose in this ep. Listen in as we do a complete disservice to this very strong episode of Malcolm in The Middle! And be sure to stick around until the end, where Ryan has to leave during the recording so Willa takes the last 15 minutes of the episode solo. If that sounds bad, I can assure you it's worse than you're thinking!! Just kidding, this is a fun one. But yikes.
Mon, 23 Mar 2026 - 55 - 307 - Christmas
HO HO HO! Christmas came early this year! And by that I mean the newest episode of YNM in which the sibs cover Season 3 episode 7 of Malcolm in the Middle, entitled "Christmas." Had you there for a second. This week the sibs talk about the Christian faith, pissing your pants, and whether or not Santa is real, as we cover another BANGER episode of MitM. These episodes refuse to stop hitting. And neither does our podcast, which gets markedly better episode by episode. Check it out!!
Tue, 17 Mar 2026 - 54 - INTERVIEW: Steve Welch (Editor)
The final storyteller. The surgeon. The editor. This episode we talk with editor Steve Welch, who shaped MitM's look and feel since the very beginning. We're officially Welch-heads. Steve had incredible insights to share about the process of creating Malcolm and weighed in on comedy editing more broadly. He's basically done only banger projects like Walk Hard, New Girl, Mr. Show, Barb and Starr go to Vista Del Mar, and much more. What a guy, what a chat, what a tv show we are covering here on Yes, No, Maybe! Love you guys! "The fact that editing is supposed to be invisible... is what makes it such a great craft." — Su Friedrich
Mon, 09 Mar 2026 - 53 - 306- Health Scare
Hal is very sick. Or is he? Lois and Hal await medical news. Bernard the hamster makes his iconic debut, cementing his legacy for years to come. Francis and Lavernia battle it out in Alaska (top left corner of the USA , but not attached, for reference). And Reese and Malcolm sneak out. All in a days work of another RIPPER of an episode. Hey... we love you.
Mon, 02 Mar 2026 - 52 - 305 - Charity
After a brief hiatus, we are BACK and arguably better than ever as Willa and Ryan cover season 3 episode 5, "Charity." In this soon-to-be-classic episode of the pod, your favorite siblings catch up with Francis as he finally makes his way to Alaska and recoil in horror as Malcolm, Reese, and Dewey steal from God and the poor. Additionally, we go deep on "justification music," a term we coin this episode but will no doubt resurface in future episodes. We're happy to be back! Enjoy the ep!
Mon, 23 Feb 2026 - 51 - INTERVIEW: Ken Kwapis (Director)
Ken. Kwapis. Director of classic Malcolm episodes like Rollerskates, Water Park, Family Reunion, If Boys Were Girls, Hal Quits, New Neighbors... WE COULD GO ON!! Ken also directed all four episodes of the REVIVAL series "Life is Still Unfair" airing on April 10, 2026. If you heard us call it a reboot in the past.... no you didn't. We were beyond thrilled to talk to Mr. Kwapis about his directing style, his take on Malcolm as a show, and how he felt directing the newest iteration of the series. We can't thank him enough (though we do many times this episode) for coming and talking to two absolute dorks like us. We hope you enjoy this interview as much as we did <3
Mon, 09 Feb 2026 - 50 - 304 - Malcolm's Girlfriend
Whether you like it or not, Malcolm has a girlfriend. On today's episode of Yes No Maybe, Ryan and Willa discuss a (at risk of diluting the term) CLASSIC episode of Malcolm in the Middle. Malcolm is head over heels in love, Dewey hijacks a surprise party and tarnishes his relationship with the only friend he's ever had, and Francis finds himself absorbed in a small-town conspiracy that he glimpses through the bars of a local jail. Maybe a top 5 episode of Malcolm in the Middle. Just firing on all cylinders. This is why we do the podcast, folks. Man. What a ride. What a show! Ours and theirs.
Mon, 02 Feb 2026 - 49 - 303 - Book Club
On this standout episode of Yes No Maybe, your favorite sibling duo spend the first ~2 minutes of the episode talking about Christmas because they recorded this episode over a month ago. BUT THEN! They get into a fun ep that finds Lois joining a book club with a couple of alcoholic women, Hal and the boys caught in a standoff, and Francis encountering a sadistic, power-hungry trucker named Roy who makes helpless Francis play sick games for his own twisted enjoyment. It's a fascinating, psychosexual (not sexual) ritual that the siblings have fun deconstructing. Anyway, you know what you're getting into. We're brother and sister. We talk, we laugh, we usually peter out towards the end... it's all according to plan. Please enjoy this episode! Fun to record. Fun to do this podcast in general! Except when I have to write descriptions. Who's even reading this?
Mon, 26 Jan 2026 - 48 - 302 - Emancipation ft. Kevin (Victor Z. Isaac)
We're joined for a discussion of this barn-burner by Victor Z. Isaac, aka the iconic krelboyne Kevin, who makes his Malcolm in the Middle debut in this classic ep. Victor takes us behind the scenes of life on Malcolm, and along the way we go deep on the themes and craft of 302. And yes, we talk reboot. Come on. You think this is our first rodeo? A HUGE thanks to Victor for being on the podcast. It was a huge deal for us and we had a really great time. Please enjoy!!
Tue, 20 Jan 2026 - 47 - YES NO MAYBE 1 YEAR CHECK-IN
We interrupt our regularly scheduled programing for this special 1 YEAR CHECK IN, where Willa and I talk about where we started, where we are, and where we're going. We also give a lot of fun tidbits of BTS given to us by various crew members who worked on Malcolm in the Middle. What is this episode? Good question. Technically it's a buffer episode before our interview episode with Victor Z. Isaac next week, but also it's just a way to say hello and thank you guys for sticking with us through this amazing year.
Mon, 12 Jan 2026 - 46 - 301- Houseboat
Let Season 3.... COMMENCE! Hi everybody, we're back with Season 3 Episode 1 Houseboat which features, you guessed it, a houseboat! Wooo! Dewey on a buoy, Hal and Malcolm on a dingy, Kitty and Abe in a tizzy, Stevie and Reese gettin busy, and Lois? Hell, she's doin just fine. And, FINALLY, Francis is heading to ALASKA! The next step in his horrific life. Guys.... really exciting stuff coming for 2026... next week we will update you in a lil' bonus episode! Stay tuned....
Mon, 05 Jan 2026 - 45 - **REBOOT TEASER REACTION**
THIS IS NOT A DRILL. I REPEAT: THIS IS NOT A DRILL. A 40 second teaser for Malcolm in the Middle: Life is Still Unfair has just dropped, and your two favorite sibs are here to unpack it in excruciating detail. How much can we say about a 40 second teaser, you ask? Evidently, enough to fill 20 minutes! Malcolm in the Middle: Life is Still Unfair drops April 10 on Disney+ and Hulu. Holy crap. It's happening. Season 3 starts next week!
Mon, 29 Dec 2025 - 44 - SPECIAL EPISODE: A Look back at Season 2...
Well folks, we did it. We finished season 2. To celebrate, following the blockbuster success of our season finale episode "Flashback," we decided to look back at the season and talk about it as a whole. We talk favs, least favs, character arcs, surprises, you get the drill. We talk about all sorts of things. It's an audio medium! We can't thank you all enough for your support this season. Your comments, your follows, your DMs, it really means a lot to us. This is a real labor of love for Willa and I, and so far the podcast has been more of a success than we thought it would be 2 seasons in. We'll be taking most of (all of?) December off to celebrate the holidays, but we'll be back before you know it for season 3. Stick around! More great things to come. Love to all.
Wed, 03 Dec 2025 - 43 - 225- Flashback
SIBLINGS UNITE. This is the finale of Season 2 and buddy we got the big one for it: our older sister Olivia. She also grew up with a love for MitM, but perhaps didn't have the same drive to create an entire podcast about it... strange... We cover this fantastic episode in incredible detail, stopping along the way to tell some good 'ol anecdotes, and the whole thing is really just a delight. This episode hits hard with Hal and Lois at their wits end once again, fearing another pregnancy that would upend their lives. Bryan and Jane... I'm in love with you both. You guys think they read this? Yea, me neither :( Thank you all so much for listening this season, we're got some awesome stuff planned for Season 3, plus some content to prep for the reboot. Next week will be our ranking of Season 2 and then we will take a short break for the Holidays but be back SOON for S3. Eff the mods <3
Mon, 24 Nov 2025 - 42 - 224 - Evacuation
Well folks, season 2 winds down with this penultimate episode EVACUATION which finds Hal and Dewey threaten the lifeblood of their town and all its inhabitants. Also, Francis goes on a date with a 12 year old girl. Fun! Willa and I talk about all sorts of stuff, you'll love it. I feel particularly bad because I feel like I was pretty mean to Willa this episode. Even more than usual! Anyway, some personal reflection going on over here. Love you Willa. Please enjoy this episode and be sure to come back next week for the SEASON FINALE of season 2!
Mon, 17 Nov 2025 - 41 - 223- Carnival
Oh buddy do we have another guest for you who is a total stranger! This week, Ryan's roommate Tavi joins the sibs to talk Carnival. You may remember Tavi from the infamous "Piglet gets washed by Roo without her knowing it's not her son" anecdote (s2 e6 'Convention'). This episode is full of Stevie sass, Hal/Lois lust, and the ever cool headed Gorak. Oh, and the cuteness meter is back... and this time it's controversial. Thanks so much for listening! Love you Linwood <3
Mon, 10 Nov 2025 - 40 - 222- Minibike
You guys aren't gonna believe how small this bike is. Or how much we got to say about it. Willa and Ryan are BACK with a special (and super cute) guest: Leo aka Willa's boyfriend! He gives his insight into the show as a more casual viewer and raises questions even the siblings don't ponder like, "When did Lois discover the Minibike in the sandbox?" Good stuff. As always, we love you and thanks for listening <3
Tue, 04 Nov 2025 - 39 - 221 - Malcolm vs Reese
Folks, our favorite sadist Francis Wilkerson has pitted his beloved brothers against each other. Ryan and Willa chop it up about this CLASSIC episode of M in the M -- it's got everything: Dewey putting cat medicine in his ears, Lois burning down a house, Reese and Malcolm debasing themselves for approval, etc. Worry not: we do discuss in detail the blooper reel that plays at the end of this episode, which left Ryan shaken to his core (I'm trembling now as I type this!). Enjoy!!
Mon, 27 Oct 2025 - 38 - 220- Bowling
This is it. The two-time Emmy winning episode of Malcolm in the Middle: Bowling. Our episode on this episode is sure to win the Podcast Awards equivalent. And you can take that to the bank. Ryan and Willa watched this episode together and Ryan was quite literally mouthing the lines aloud as they watched. What an absolute freak. We compare Hal and Lois's parenting styles, dissect Dewey's mind-games, and call Francis a prick in this edition of Yes, No, Maybe. Enjoy!!
Mon, 20 Oct 2025 - 37 - 219- Tutoring Reese
Another Reesed up episode this week folks. Ryan and Willa dive into Season 2 Episode 19, Tutoring Reese, where the titular character is at risk of joining the lowest of the middle school caste system: the remedial class.
