A PASHUT YID

In this episode, I'm joined by my dear friend and chavrusa, Shaya Kletski, who opens up about his upbringing in the "Yeshiva World" and the triumphs and challenges he faced along the way. Hailing from Cleveland and now living in warm Boca Raton, Florida, there are many steps to explore in the saga of Shaya Kletski. We dive into the importance of translating Torah messages in a way that's uniquely suited to each individual. Our conversation also explores IFS (Internal Family Systems) therapy, the concept of the Self, and its connection to the Neshama. Shaya shares how the teachings of Rav Kook and Rav Shagar have deeply impacted him, offering a fresh perspective on various ideas in Yiddishkeit. This is a beautiful conversation with a deep, thoughtful yid. Enjoy!

We discussed his childhood and his struggles in school. Highschool brought many new challenges, emotionally, socially, and religiously. Mel shared how much he's grown from his struggles. He cautions us not look at people we think are successful and attempt to become them, rather be inspired from the fact they are on their own journey. This will give us the strength and courage to follow our own path, the path that Hashem is slowly revealing before us.
