Tim Alberino traveled to the jungles of Peru to investigate the attacks on villagers that went viral online. In a remote part of the Peruvian Amazon, villagers have reported being attacked repeatedly by what they call the Face Peelers. Tim's expedition to the jungle was made possible by the help of a group of our listeners and served both as a vehicle to investigate the story and also to provide food, medicine, and supplies to the villagers in need. Author and explorer Tim Alberino is headed to Peru to meet with the villagers who have reportedly been attacked by "face-peeling aliens". These encounters have been ongoing since this shocking story first hit the wire in July.  Reports of 'Los Pelacaras' or 'The Face Peelers' --said to be seven feet tall, have been emerging from the small jungle community of Loreto since the beginning of the summer. The fear around these encounters is such that the Peruvian National Police and Peruvian army have been called in to investigate. With the support of some members of the Blurry community, Tim and his team are headed into the jungle to investigate these encounters and also on a humanitarian mission to supply the people and villages with food and medicine. Something is lurking in the wilds of South Dakota. Our story takes place during a family cross-country RV trip. While driving through the Badlands of South Dakota, this family of seven took a much-needed pitstop at dusk. Standing on the hillside watching the sunset, the family noticed something large and out of place lurking in the shadows. Mysterious geometric patterns appear in crop fields around the world. Are there giant tracks in Texas? Recently we discovered a book published in 1971 called "The Valley of Giants" that contains photographic evidence of giant humanoid tracks left in stone in what is now Dinosaur Valley State Park. Dr. Cecil Dougherty meticulously logged and photographed these fossilized tracks that were in the same area as the famous fossilized dinosaur tracks of that area. In fact, the giant tracks and dinosaur tracks were found side by side. In order to get boots on the ground, we sent the evidence to Travis Roy of Giants of Ancient America and asked him to track them down. Travis is a historian who combs through the archives and microfiche to preserve newspaper articles from 1850-1940 that report the findings of giant skeletons. What started out as two friends sending memes, quickly devolved into something right out of a nightmare. Tim Alberino is back to take us on a fascinating journey into the blurry history of Peru. Zach Bell from veteranwithasign joins Blurry Creatures as we cap off a month or more of military accounts and stories from the Blurryverse. A former marine, he did multiple tours in Afghanistan before coming home to work on behalf of the veterans of our armed forces. While never planning on being a voice for the military and veterans community, there were glaring issues in that space he cared deeply about, and it all began by holding up a cardboard sign on the side of the road that read: “Take Motrin, drink water, change your socks.” Now a massive movement for veteran health and well-being, Zach is using humor and handwritten signs to bring awareness to the struggles of those who served us both domestically and overseas. While on deployment, Zach had some encounters in the wilds of Afghanistan with the unexplained. It's the unofficial military month on Blurry Creatures, and it continues with an incredible encounter from the wilds of Afghanistan. The most famous modern-day giant account is the Kandahar Giant--which set the internet on fire with its release in 2016.  Since then, whispers and stories of other military operations encountering giant humanoids have trickled in, many finding their way to outlets like Coast to Coast Radio. This week, we speak to a US military operator who had an unforgettable encounter while on watch, one fateful night near the border of Afghanistan and Pakistan. Sitting on a ridge, this soldier spotted something on his thermal that he could not explain. The new night vision technology the army was testing out at that time had the capability to see ripples in clothing from 500 yards and what he saw, he'll never forget. Across an expanse, a massive human-like heat signature stood up and it was at least as tall as the 14ft tree it stood next to. In 2004, an American fighter plane from the aircraft carrier USS Nimitz encountered and engaged with a UFO over the open ocean. The official U.S. government video of this encounter is possibly the most popular "official" UFO video ever released to the public.
