In this episode of Ancient Roots of Life, JT and Josh Truex dive into one of the biggest mysteries in Genesis: what happened to the giants after the Flood?

We start with the recent buzz surrounding Mount Ararat and reports of new scans that appear to show a massive boat-shaped structure beneath the surface. Could this be evidence of Noah’s Ark, or are we looking at something else entirely? From there, the conversation goes deep into the strange traditions surrounding Noah, ancient anchor stones, Og of Bashan, the Rephaim, and the possibility that the Nephilim survived—or returned—after the Flood. We also explore Genesis 6, the “sons of God,” the idea of a second incursion, and why giant tribes appear again in the biblical record long after the Flood. JT and Josh compare the biblical account with ancient traditions from Sumerian, Greek, and other cultures, while asking how much of these stories may preserve distorted memories of real events.

Across America, enormous courthouses, capitol buildings, cathedrals and other elaborate structures are attributed to relatively small 19th-century communities—often during an era we picture as horses, wagons and westward expansion.

Av has been traveling to these places and documenting them firsthand.

We get into the strange construction timelines, buried levels, forgotten buildings, Greco-Roman imagery, the rediscovery of ancient statues, the World’s Fairs, Nero's colossal image, the “image of the beast,” biblical prophecy and the possibility that our understanding of Revelation's 1,000-year reign and Satan's “little season” needs another look.

Did Daniel actually kill a dragon? And why isn't this story in most modern Bibles?

In Episode 54 of the Ancient Roots of Life Podcast, JT and Josh dive into Bel and the Dragon, the fascinating addition to Daniel preserved in the Septuagint tradition. What happened when Christ descended into Hades?

What happened after Jesus died on the cross—and before the resurrection?

What happened to the old world?

In Ancient Roots of Life #49, JT and Josh continue digging into one of the most overlooked biblical concepts: the ages.

If Scripture speaks about ages before us, the end of the ages in the apostolic generation, and ages still to come, have we misunderstood what phrases like “the end of the world” actually mean?

We examine Ephesians, Hebrews, Corinthians, Genesis 1 and Job 38, asking what may have existed before the world was prepared for mankind and whether the sons of God were already present when the foundations of the earth were laid.

Then we turn to Revelation 12 and challenge the traditional idea that Satan and one-third of the angels were cast from heaven before Adam. Could Revelation 12 instead describe events connected directly to Christ's birth, ascension and the first-century tribulation?

We also examine the Olivet Discourse, AD 70 and the common argument for “dual fulfillment” before continuing our study of the Gospel of Nicodemus / Acts of Pilate. That text brings us into Pilate's trial of Jesus, accusations that Christ was a sorcerer, Nicodemus defending His miracles, Jannes and Jambres, and eventually a fascinating discussion about Hades, Tartarus and the biblical underworld.

This one connects Genesis, Revelation, Greek mythology, apocryphal literature and the words of Jesus in ways you may not have considered before.
