The story of Ashab Al-Kahf (the People of the Cave) is one of the most powerful lessons of faith, courage, and trust in Allah, narrated in Surah Al-Kahf.

They were a group of young believers living under the rule of a Roman emperor who enforced pagan worship and punished anyone who refused to declare allegiance to false gods. These young men stood firm on Tawheed, openly rejecting idol worship despite the danger to their lives.

According to narrations, they were summoned before the emperor and given time to reconsider their stance. Faced with persecution, they turned to one another and asked: Where do we go now? One of them suggested seeking refuge in a cave—a place they likely already knew, much like the Cave of Hira was known to the Prophet ﷺ.

When the emperor sent soldiers after them, Allah placed a barrier—they could not cross the cave’s threshold. Eventually, the cave was sealed, and by Allah’s command, the young men were put into a deep sleep. They remained there for 309 years, protected by Allah alone.

The cave was finally reopened centuries later when a shepherd, seeking shelter for his sheep, unknowingly uncovered one of the greatest signs of Allah’s power—that He protects those who stand for faith, even when the world turns against them.

This timeless story reminds us that youth with strong iman can change history, and that when believers take a step toward Allah, His help comes from places they could never imagine.

Anas bin Malik RA narrated that Rasulullah [Saw] spoke about four forerunners. He said: “I am the forerunner of Arabs; Suhaib Ar-Rumi is the forerunner of Romans; Bilal is the forerunner of Habsha and Salman is the forerunner of Persia.”

The Story of Dhul-Kifl is a bit of a mystery. There is not much information known or recorded and a lot of debate as to whether he truly is a Prophet. What we know about him is that he was a righteous man and a ‘company of the good’ who was also extremely patient. As Allah says in Surah al-Anbiya’ after the story of Ayyub, “And Isma‘eel, Idris, and Dhul Kifl, all of them were among the patient ones. And We admitted them to Our mercy, verily they were among the righteous.” (Qur’an 21: 85-86).

So, Ayyub (A) had everything, he was strong and healthy, he had large plots of land, abundant livestock, and a righteous and beautiful family, and then suddenly, Ayyub (A) lost his family, lost his wealth, and he lost his health, and this did not happen gradually, it happened suddenly, he lost everything, he lost everything that a person loves in the dunya. Ayyub’s AS steadfastness in the face of the most awesome trials originated the well-known expression, “the patience of Ayyub”.

The life of this world is just like rain We send down from the sky, producing a mixture of plants which humans and animals consume. Then just as the earth looks its best, perfectly beautified, and its people think they have full control over it, there comes to it Our command by night or by day, so We mow it down as if it never flourished yesterday! This is how We make the signs clear for people who reflect. Quran 10:24.

It doesn't take much to realize how blessed we are as Muslims. Allah SWT has allowed us to have a direct and open relationship with Him 24/7, with absolutely no middle-man in between. As Muslims, we have two main ways of communicating with Allah SWT. The first way is through our five daily prayers, which are an obligation upon us. The second way of communicating with Allah is, by making dua (supplication). In contrast to prayer, there is no fixed time or place for making dua. Wudu is not obligatory for dua. We don't even need to have wudu to make dua. We are allowed to put our hands up and ask Allah for what we need - at any time and any place. This is a huge mercy from Allah SWT.

To Heraclius the Arabs were a backward people living in a desert wasteland. The Arabs he knew were an unsophisticated lot in constant conflict with each other, just barely eking out an existence under the unforgiving desert sun. The Arabs were not a military threat let alone a military power they were just a thorn in his side, But united for the first time under the banner of Islam, the Arabs unleashed a gale force wind that would sweep across the Middle East and blow as far East as China and West across North Africa.

The prophet said, “Our Lord, the Blessed, the Superior, comes every night down on the nearest Heaven to us when the last third of the night remains, saying: “Is there anyone to invoke Me, so that I may respond to invocation? Is there anyone to ask Me, so that I may grant him his request? Is there anyone seeking My forgiveness, so that I may forgive him?” [Bukhari].

6 ways to earn deeds after death:

1) Give a copy of the Qur'an to someone. Each time one reads from it you gain.

2) Donate a wheelchair to a hospital. Each time a sick person uses it you gain.

3) Participate in building a masjid.

4) Place a water cooler in a public space.

5) Plant a tree. You gain whenever a person or an animal sits in it's shade or eat from it.

6) And the easiest of all, share this message with people.

The first people to enter, their faces will be glowing like the full moon. The next people will have faces shining like the stars. People will never have to use the restroom, spit, blow their noses. Their combs will be made out of gold. Their sweat will smell like musk. They will be in the physical form of Adam (PBUH)…60 feet tall. They will never disagree with one another, they will never hate one another.

There is a matrix that is around us, there’s a matrix on the good side and there’s matrix on the bad side, there’s a way of looking at the world, which makes you a true Muslim, and one that can see with the help of Allah SWT, the prophet S said, beware of the insight and the ability of a believer having an inner look at thing.

According to Imam Al-Ghazali, who wrote in his Mukhashfa al-Qulub, Umar ibn Al-Khattab (RA) was asked why the day of ’Ashura was considered so noble. Umar (RA) listed a few events which had taken place on ’Ashura, including Allah, who created the skies and earth on this day, along with the Preserved Tablet. Allah created Angel Jibril (as). Allah created Adam (as) and Hawwa (as). Allah created Jannah. Allah enabled Adam (as) to live in Jannah. The first rain to fall on earth was on ’Ashura. Therefore, since before the beginning of human history, ’Ashura has been filled with significant events.

Everything in this universe is a definite proof of the existence of a Creator [Allah] who created it. Those who have sound intellect and natural disposition will understand this fully. Those who reject the existence of Allah do so because they seek tangible proofs which they can perceive through their senses. They contradict themselves, for they believe in intangible things within this universe by observing their signs and effects.

This story is about Luqman Ibn Anqa Ibn Sadun, who was from among the people of Aylah, He was a pious man who exerted himself in worship and who was blessed with wisdom. Also, it is said that he was a judge during the lifetime of prophet Dawud (AS). And, Allah knows best.

And this is a hadith of three individuals from Bani Isra’il, these three individuals, they went out for the purpose of maintaining their family, and while they were walking, it started raining heavily, and then they said to themselves: it’s raining so hard, we can no longer continue with our journey, let us find a shelter for ourselves, so they went to this cave, see what happened next.

We relate a story of a pious man who was tricked by Satan and made him commit few major sins. The Shaitan later deceived this monk into committing Kufr, He was, what you call, a monk but he was a true Christian, who believed in the oneness of god.

This story relates to a small fishing community of Bani Isra’il, during this time, because of their persistent disobedience and stubbornness, Allah decreed many injunctions against them, one of these injunctions was the observance of the sabbath where they completely prohibited from doing any work, it meant that they were not allowed to fish on Saturdays.

A story of a man who had two gardens which produced the best of fruits, he became haughty and arrogant and told his friend, I think this will never perish, while his friend said: praise god for the bounty he has given you, one should whole-heartedly accept the advice of his compassionate brother, as in rejecting his counsellor advice there rests complete destruction and perfect ruin.

The protagonists in this story are a small number of youths, who were the sons of rulers and noblemen. They were of the elite class, and accustomed to lives of comfort and luxury. Even so, they realized that their townspeople were immersed in wrongful practices, Allah caused them to enter into a slumber in the narrow chamber of the cave, a miraculous sleep that lasted for centuries.

Their father had a garden and used to give a portion of his harvest to the poor. When he died, the children did not want to continue on that path so they decided to wake up early and pack up the harvest while the rest of the world slept to prevent the poor people from getting the harvest. One of them tried to make a point but he was shut down. See what happened next.

This video is about the great king Dhul-Qarnain, Allah says in the Qur’an: they ask you about Dhul-Qarnain, verily we established him in the earth and we gave him from everything single matter a way and a path, we eased his affair in every matter, Dhul-Qarnain was establishing justice in a society that was living in chaos and confusion until when he reached the land of the rising of the sun, he found it rising on a people to whom we had given no shelter from it.

The story of the great, pious and righteous prophet and messenger of god, prophet Uzair one time went passed a village that was destroyed, and the inhabitant of that village were no longer there, so he said to himself how would Allah revive this village and bring it back to life, Allah [S] wanted a miracle to appear in the hands of Uzair.

One day Sulaiman [as] was reviewing his army when he noted that the hoopoe bird was absent without permission. It was the job of the hoopoe bird to look for water when the army needed it, the bird had been traveling in the country of Saba and it returned and declared to Solomon: i found a woman ruling over the people, she has been given many blessings and has a mighty throne! I found her and her people worshiping the sun instead of Allah …

There was a man from among Bani Isra’il who was impotent, he had substantial wealth, and only a nephew who would inherit from him. So, his nephew slayed him and moved his body at night, placing it at the doorstep of a certain man. The next morning, the nephew cried out for revenge, and the people took up arms and almost fought each other. The wise men among them said, `Why would you harm each other, while the Messenger of Allah is still among you?' So they went to Musa and mentioned the matter to him.

Iblis was proud and arrogant and considered himself superior to Adam, since Adam was made from clay and Iblis from smokeless fire. For this act of disobedience, Allah cursed him but gave him respite until the Day of Judgment, after Iblis requested it. Iblis obtained permission from Allah and vowed that he would use this time to lead all human men and women astray.

The following story was narrated by Imam Ibn Al Jawzi in one of his books ('Sifat us-Safwah') and Imam Ibn An-Nu’aas in Mashari al-Ashwaq, a heart wrenching story of Abu Qudamah and the youth Muhammad.

'The living go on and the dead do not.' What an extraordinary expression and what an even stranger position to take. When somebody dies, our sorrow and tears, our weeping and mourning soon cease. The funeral rites are held and then all is forgotten. But what is happening to the dead?

It's not our deeds it's Allah's Mercy that's causes us to enter Jannah

Al-Isra’ Wal-Mi’raj (the Night Journey & Ascension) is a miracle second only to the revelation of the Qur’an, and it is therefore important that we don’t let this night slip by without reflecting on its lessons and its significance. The Prophet (saw) said, ‘I was then brought a white beast which is called al-Buraq [from the Arabic word barq, meaning lightning], bigger than a donkey and smaller than a mule. Its stride was as long as the eye could reach’. [Muslim].

There are nearly one thousand miracles of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) which prove his messengership. These miracles were witnessed and they have been narrated till this day by many people who are so trustworthy that it is impossible for them to lie.

Ya Allah forgive our sins

And the judgement starts in a majestic scene and the angels will come in rows, when the account of man ends he goes either to Jannah or Jahannam

"Jannah"—also known as paradise or garden in Islam—is described in the Qur'an as an eternal afterlife of peace and bliss, where the faithful and righteous are rewarded. The Qur'an says the righteous will be restful in the presence of God, in "gardens beneath which rivers flow."

The prophet Muhammad (S.A.W.) said: “The son of Adam will not pass away from Allah until he is asked about five things: how he lived his life, and how he utilized his youth, with what means did he earn his wealth, how did he spend his wealth, and what did he do with his knowledge.”

Prophet Muhammad [SAW] was asked many times by many people about when this Day would arrive.  The answer now, even though we have made remarkable advances in all forms of knowledge, particularly technology and science, is still the same. Allah alone knows when the hour that starts the Day of Judgement will be.

Pertaining to the arrival of the month, it is imperative that a Muslim prepares for it before hand and be reflective of all that the month carries and how one can extract the maximum blessings and mercy from it.

It is reported that Prophet Muhammad [SAW] said: ‘The better ones of you in the Days of Ignorance are the better ones of you in Islam when they understand (the religion).” These wise words of Prophet Muhammad [S] were best proved in the case of our hero Khalid ibn AI-Walid [RA].

The life of Umar ibn Al-Khattab (R.A.) is a shining page of Islamic history, which outshines and supersedes all other histories. The history of all nations put together does not contain even a part of what his life contained of noble conduct, glory, sincerity and calling others for the sake of Allah.

Abu Bakr [Ra] was always a very close Companion of the Holy Prophet [Saw], he knew him better than any other man. He knew how honest and upright the Prophet was. Such knowledge of the Prophet made Abu Bakr [Ra] be the first man to follow the Message of Prophet Muhammad [Saw]

we look at some of the highlights of the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ [peace and blessings be upon him], Muhammad ﷺ was a man that came 1400 years ago, in an environment where there was injustice, he came and brought peace and tolerance and justice not only to the seventh century arabia but to the whole world. صلى الله عليه وسلم

Muhammad Saw was born around 570 AD in Makkah, His father died before he was born and he was raised first by his grandfather and then his uncle. He belonged to a poor but respectable family of the Quraysh tribe. The family was active in Meccan politics and trade. Many of the tribes living in the Arabian Peninsula at the time were nomadic, trading goods as they crisscrossed the desert. Most tribes were polytheistic, worshipping their own set of gods. The town of Makkah was an important trading and religious centre, home to many temples and worship sites where the devoted prayed to the idols of these gods.

Incidents and situations from the Prophet's life are real life lessons to help us. Seerah is more than studying biography of a person, it is biography of our most beloved's life and the history of our religion. Michael Hart wrote a book called "The 100: A Ranking of the Most Influential Persons in History" and he listed Muhammad S as number one. Of course this ranking means nothing to us, we already know without a doubt that our Rasul cannot be compared to any other human. But it just shows that even Non Muslims who have truly studied the seerah admit without hesitation that his life was the best life.

The story was told by Layth ibn Abee Sulaym, a follower of the students of Ibn ‘Abbaas. The story is most likely based on things heard from the Christians and their stories about Jesus. We have no way to confirm this story as being correct or accurate, while there does not seem to be anything inappropriate in it. Thus, we are allowed to tell it as a story told by the Christians.

Muslims respect and revere Jesus (peace be upon him). We consider him one of the greatest among God’s messengers and prophets. We believe Jesus is a prophet, messenger, word, spirit, sign and slave of God. The religious texts of Muslims, The Quran and Sunnah (teaching of Muhammad PBUH) have a lot to say about Jesus, his mother, his birth, his mission and trials and tribulations, his ascension and his return. The Prophet Zakariyyah kept the torch of Mosaic law burning. He used to pray devotionally and preach zealously. His wife and he were the symbols of piety and righteousness. The family tree of Zakariyyah, Yahya, Maryam and Esa AS is closely linked. Yahya AS would later be related to Esa AS, as his mother, the wife of Zakariyyah AS, was the maternal aunt of Maryam AS.

Sulaiman (as) was born and raised in Jerusalem, Palestine. He was the son of Prophet Dawud (as) and, just like his father, Sulaiman (as) was greatly loved by Allah, Allah gifted Sulaiman (as) with miracles that no other Prophet had: Sulaiman (as) could understand and communicate with all kinds of animals, and he could command the wind. The jinn are unseen beings created by Allah, and Sulaiman (as) was given the power to command them too. Here’s his full story.

The story of Dawud AS started with the story of Talut and Jalut. After Daud AS finished off the tyrant Jalut in single combat, with his sling, the Israelites achieved victory and were freed from the subjugation of Jalut’s rule. Dawud AS, previously an unknown young lad, became famous overnight. Here’s his story.

When Musa AS passed away, the leadership of Bani Isra'il passed to Yusha ibn Nun. Yusha ibn Nun is not mentioned directly in the Qur'an but he was the servant of Musa AS, Under the leadership of Yusha ibn Nun, Bani Isra'il is made victorious and they return to the Holy Lands, an event which did not occur under Musa or Harun (who both passed away whilst Bani Isra'il was still in the wilderness). The story of Al Khidr occurred during the prophethood of Musa (AS). By all accounts, Al Khidr was extremely wise and pious, and was granted knowledge from the Kingdom of Allah. Some scholars speculate that he was a prophet, however, there is no conclusive evidence in the Qur’an or Sunnah on this. The story begins with the assertion by Musa (AS) to his people that he was the most learned amongst them. As a result, he was immediately reprimanded by Allah, and in fact Allah corrected him and told him that there was someone more learned.

Moses had been gone for forty days and his people were becoming restless, for they did not know that Allah had extended his time by a further ten days. Samiri, a man who was inclined towards evil, suggested that they find themselves another guide, as Moses had broken his promise. He said to them: "In order to find true guidance, you need a god, and I shall provide one for you."

Allah revealed to Musa that he should strike the sea with his rod. Upon this, “it divided, and each separate part became like the huge, firm mass of a mountain.” at the moment when Fir’awn saw such a miracle, he should have understood that there was something extraordinary about the situation, and that he was seeing Divine intervention. But what did fir’awn do?

The dialogue between Musa AS and Pharaoh - Musa AS wanted his brother to be his companion in prophethood and on this unsafe mission to confront Pharaoh because Harun AS was strong and trustworthy, he was also an articulate, persuasive speaker.  Whenever a person stands with his brother united in a common sense of purpose, united in their worship of God, united in righteousness they are unbeatable against even the most formidable enemy. Our story now begins sometime after Musa AS had completed his contract with his father-in-law. He was traveling somewhere with his family when he saw a fire in the distance. He went to explore in the hope that he might get information or be able to bring back a firebrand for his family to use. When Musa AS approached the bush that was burning, he heard a voice coming from it. The voice commanded Musa AS to remove his shoes because he was in a sacred valley. The voice identified itself as Allah and reminded Musa AS to serve Him and to keep up his prayers. The voice told Musa AS that Allah had made him one of the chosen ones. See what happens next.

When Musa’s mother become pregnant, the normal signs of pregnancy did not show on her. When she gave birth, she became fearful. So, Allah the Highest stated: “And We inspired to the mother of Moses, ‘Suckle him; but when you fear for him, cast him into the river and do not fear and do not grieve. Indeed, we will return him to you and will make him [one] of the messengers. (Al-Qasas 28:7).

Pharaoh [Firoun] was an Egyptian king, the Egyptians believed pharaoh to be intermediary between the gods and the world of men. As a divine ruler, the pharaoh was the saviour of the God-given order, he was responsible for his people’s economic and spiritual welfare and disburse justice to his subjects.

Prophet Shuaib, known in Biblical literature as Jethro, is one of only four Arab prophets mentioned by name in the Quran. The Quran tells us that Prophet Shuaib was from the people of Midian, and it was there that Moses found refuge. For the most part they led a happy and prosperous life due to the bounties from God.   However instead of being grateful they wanted to accumulate more and would lie and cheat in order to do so. They moved far away from the religion of God.

Almighty Allah called Yunus to preach to the people of Nineveh. Nineveh was a great city, the capital of Assyria, and it had become a very wicked place. Yunus went to the people there and told them to give up their bad ways and to turn, instead, to Allah. But they wouldn’t listen to him and so Yunus left them. This is the first very human touch in the story of Yunus. Even though he was a prophet, Yunus was still a man and he stormed off out of the city when he didn’t achieve what he had hoped. Dhul-Kifl is considered by Muslims to be a prophet of Islam. But there are also a number of Muslims who believe that he was simply a righteous man mentioned in the Qur'an but not a prophet. It is believed that he lived for roughly 75 years.

Despite all the difficulties, Ayub (AS) was patient, persevering, and grateful. He was also constantly engrossed in the remembrance of Allah Taala day and night. It was after years of forbearance and difficulty that Ayyub (AS) wife told him “Oh Ayyub why don’t you ask Allah to help you”. He replied “I lived for seventy years in prosperity why shouldn’t I be patient for the sake of Allah for seventy years.” Watch to see the full story of Ayyub [AS].

When Prophet Yusuf (as) was a young boy, he had a dream in which he saw the sun, the moon and eleven stars bow down to him. Prophet Yusuf (as) told his father, Yaqub (as), about his strange dream. Yaqub (as) told him to be careful and not to tell anyone else about the dream. Prophet Yaqub (as) loved all of his sons. But they all, except Binyamin, felt jealous of Yusuf (as) because they thought their father loved Yusuf more than he loved them. See what happened next?

Prophet Yaqub (pbuh) was born in Palestine and was the son of Prophet Ishaq (pbuh). He is known for leading his life in the footsteps of his father and grandfather, spreading the message of the Oneness of God, and advising followers to pray and give in charity. During his lifetime, he travelled to the north of Iraq, returned Palestine and eventually settled in Egypt where he passed away. He was buried in Hebron, Palestine, along with his father, according to his final wishes. Here's his story.

Prophet Abraham AS left Egypt accompanied by his nephew Lut AS, who then went to the city of Sadum, which was on the western shore of the Dead Sea. This city was filled with evil. Its residents waylaid, robbed and had indecent behaviour,  It was at the height of these crimes and sins that Allah revealed to Prophet Lut AS that he should summon the people to give up their indecent behaviour, but they were so deeply sunk in their immoral habits that they were deaf to Lot's preaching.

During their old age, Ibrahim (AS) and his first wife Sarah (AS), the angels came in the form of humans to announce to them the good news that the couple will beget a son, whom they named Ishaq AS. He was sent in the Sham area, when Ishaq (AS) grew older Prophet Ibrahim (AS) told Ishaq (AS) to marry someone from his relatives, so Ishaq (AS) married his cousin, the cousin he married was Rafqah, she was the daughter of Batwil. From Rafqah, Ishaq (AS) had twin sons Isa and Yaqub (AS).

Isma’il is the son of Abraham, and the father of the Arabs. His stories hold many insights and inspirations and show in many parts the meaning of being a Muslim, Isma’il became part of the Arabian tribe. He lived with them in Makah his whole life. Moreover, later in history his descendant will become major tribes of their own and become most Arabians. Making them Sons of prophet Isma’il and his Father prophet Abraham, and proud of their lineage. Watch to find out more.

Ibrahim was born in a house of idolaters, in the kingdom of Babylon. Ibrahim used to watch his father sculpting these idols from stones or wood. He began his uprising against this from the least expected of places; his home. The Qur’an goes on, in its miraculously eloquent and concise expressions, to depict Ibrahim’s struggle against his community where all the odds were against him. It tells us of his debate with them, his flattening of their idols, his community’s reaction of anger, see what happened next.

The people led wealthy excessive lives, built grand buildings, both on the plains, and carved into the hills. Unfortunately, with their extravagant lifestyles came idol worship and wickedness.  Prophet Saleh was sent to warn the people of Thamud, that God was not pleased with their behaviour, Saleh was a pious, righteous man who held a position of leadership in the community, but his call to worship God alone infuriated many people, see what happened next.

Hud was born five generations after Nuh AS. In that time, his people had completely forgotten about The Flood that had struck generations past and had begun worshipping idols made of stone. Despite Hud's warnings and admonitions the people persisted in their idolatry.

Nuh was called as a Prophet to his people, sharing the universal message of Tawhid: believe in One True God (Allah), and follow the guidance He has given. He called upon his people to give up their idol-worship and embrace goodness. Nuh preached this message patiently and kindly for many, many years. As was true of so many of Allah's prophets, the people rejected Nuh's message and ridiculed him, see what happened next.

we will learn about Idris AS, God praised him and attributed to him prophethood and truthfulness. He is Enoch. He was the first descendant of Adam to whom prophethood was given after Adam and Seth. There was a span of 380 years between him and the life of Adam. Thirty scriptures were revealed to him. He was the first to write after Adam, to exert himself in the path of God, to cut and sew clothes, and the first to enslave some of Cain's descendants. He inherited from his father Jared that which his forefathers had bequeathed upon him and had bequeathed to one another. All of this he did during the lifetime of Adam.
