Seth Morrison is the ski icon that I wanted to launch this podcast with 10 years ago, but Seth doesn't do interviews. He told me no for 3 years and I stopped bothering him. I gave it one last shot a few months ago and Seth said yes! Now, I'm able to end the 500-episode run of The Powell Movement with my favorite, every pro's favorite, every fan's favorite, and every industry person's favorite pro skier, Seth Morrison. This is the Sid Vicious looking ski pioneer that brought high consequence tricks to the backcountry, went bigger than everyone, and got the loudest cheers at all the movie premieres. Markus Eder is the final European skier on the podcast and he's arguably the most important. Markus's career took off after he won an internet wild card to Nine Knights in 2010, then it exploded even more at Red Bull Linecatcher, and if that wasn't enough, he lit the web on fire with his 2021 "The Ultimate Run" release. Honestly, Markus may be the most versatile skier I've ever had on the podcast. A bold statement but the guy was a slopestyle athlete on the Italian Olympic team in Sochi in 2014, he's a film skier that consistently puts out segments, he was a Freeride World Tour athlete who won the whole tour in 2019, and he's spent the past two seasons standing on the podium at Travis Rice's prestigious Natural Selection events. Eric Pollard has had a bigger impact than almost anyone in skiing over the last 25 years. Errol Kerr's professional ski career is actually two ski careers. A race part, where he was so close to making the World Cup and the US Alpine Ski Team and the other was his ski cross career, which was kick-started when he became a fully funded member of the US Ski Cross Team in his first race. Josh Berman was an Ivy Leaguer on his way to becoming a professional skier when a catastrophic knee injury derailed his chances of becoming pro. But Josh's passion for skiing was as strong as ever and pre-surgery, Josh strapped up his leg, headed up the mountain and went out and shot for his first Level 1 Production. What was supposed to be a 3-year adventure in filmmaking turned into an award-winning 25+ year career in snow. Kevin Quinn, the founder of Points North Heli and a true Alaska pioneer, has done more rad stuff than almost anyone I've had on the podcast. He went from pro hockey player, to ski instructor, to pro skier, to entrepreneur, to famous pilot, to coach, and that's just some of what Kevin has done. He also did time in Tahoe with folks like Kreitler, McConkey and so many more; when life was all about shredding, jumping off things and shenanigans. But Kevin didn't ski bum forever though, he started a heli ski business- with no idea how to manage the books, then he figured it out without going bankrupt, and eventually, lived the American Heli Ski dream life. Not too bad for a kid that dropped out of high school and made a name for himself in team sports by using his fists.

Jaren Grob, aka "The Monster" won two X Games Gold Medals, was featured on the cover of the Aggressive Inline video game, and had the world in the palm of his hands. Kaya Turski grew up in Montreal and was the little rollerblader who was blowing everyone's collective minds. While Kaya went ASA Pro at 14, she was known for being a gnarly street skater. Shawn Robertson is up there with the most naturally gifted athletes I've ever worked with. At 13, he was throwing an 80 mph fastball and dominating team sports, then he found inline and rode that rocketship. Scotty Bob Morgan is different than most athletes I've had on the show. His focus on Proximity Flying, one of the most high-risk activities on the planet, creates a life that is different than your traditional action sports athlete. There are no huge paydays, organized ways to get exposure, or even a good way to learn. You need a heavy dose of sky, BASE, and wingsuit experience combined with huge balls in order to live to tell these tales. With a background as a combat photographer and dude that jumps off of everything, Scotty Bob has both. Cesar Mora was born to become a professional soccer player and he was on track to make that happen. He moved from Australia to Spain and began training with Rayo Vallencano before visa issues forced him out of Spain. When he returned to Australia, he worked at a skateboard shop, found rollerblading, and within two years, was on top of the sport. He dominated vert from 95 to 99 and then he broke his arm. While Cesar continued to compete, he was never the same. It's an interesting story with one of the best.

By the time Jim Rippey made it to high school, his goals were clear, he was going to punt in the NFL. When football didn't work for Jim, he found snowboarding. Within a couple years on a board, Jim was a sponsored rider with Burton, eventually had 7 pro models, and was the first to back flip a snowmobile. Gnarly Charley Ager is one of the biggest mysteries in skiing. He came up from no-where to set the ski world on fire with his loose, sometimes scary style and switch landings that were way ahead of his time. Chris Booth's career started as a competitive skier from Australia who was ready to take North America by storm. But doing that is next to impossible while you are focused on your studies and don't spend a ton of time training. Eventually, Chris graduated from contests to the backcountry, became a lawyer, and realized that the law life was not for him. He went on to become one of the most important behind the scenes players in skiing, helping build the Black Crows brand into a global force. Aaron Blunk has been competing since he was 8 years old. Kye Petersen was born to be a skier. His father, Trevor Petersen, was the ski mountaineer that all the skiers were talking about and whistler was home.
