The pipeline is key to minimising the impact of the closure of the Strait of Hormuz on the world’s global oil supply. Today, MPs have voted against a fresh move to legalise assisted dying in England and Wales. The bill would have allowed adults with fewer than six months to live to apply to be given help to end their life.

Today, Foreign Secretary Ed Miliband has told Parliament the UK would ban the import of goods from Israeli settlements in the illegally occupied West Bank.

Today, two senior officials have stood down from Reform UK after a Channel 4 News report prompts the party to investigate claims about funding.

Nigel Farage's senior aide Dan Jukes and Reform's head of policy James Orr have both stood down pending the outcome of the internal probe. The undercover filming was done by Verbatim Investigations and broadcast by Channel 4 News. Reform UK has denied wrongdoing and Nigel Farage describes the operation as entrapment.

The footage appears to show an attempt to secure funding from someone they believed to be a foreign donor. Electoral law prohibits UK political parties from receiving financial contributions from people who can't vote here.

Reform denies any wrongdoing and says it has "been the target of a hoax perpetuated by foreign-funded climate change activists". Adam and Chris discuss. This episode was recorded at 11.30am on Friday.

Today, Russia has warned of "consequences" for the UK, after is was confirmed that British-made drones were used by Ukraine to strike Russia.

Today, a major incident has been declared in Suffolk where a wildfire the size of 140 football pitches is burning.

The fire is not yet under control, but Suffolk’s chief fire officer says it currently poses no risk to nearby nuclear power station Sizewell B. And, in the rest of the UK, drought has been declared in Wales and more than half of England.

Today, counter terrorism police are now leading the investigation into Ann Widdecombe’s death. A 28-year-old man who was arrested on suspicion of murder has been re-arrested on suspicion of commission, preparation or instigation of acts of terrorism.

Today Nigel Farage resigns as an MP, triggering a by-election in Clacton which he says he plans to stand in. He is currently facing an ongoing parliamentary standards investigation into whether he should have declared a £5 million gift he received from the cryptocurrency billionaire Christopher Harborne.

Today, King Charles has become the first monarch ever to reveal their tax bill: £12.9 million.

The King has broken royal precedent by publishing some of his finances, revealing that he is in the top 100 of UK taxpayers. Today, the largest review of it's kind in NHS history has found major failings in maternity care at a hospital trust in Nottingham. The report found that hundreds of babies and mothers died or were harmed due to the “deep-rooted, systemic failures”.

Marines, joined by National Crime Agency officers, with the support of the RAF, intercepted and boarded the vessel in a six-hour operation - the first operation of its kind by UK armed forces.

The vessel, Smyrtos, will be held and monitored off the south coast of England as investigations continue, the MoD said.
