Victor L. Vescovo is a private investor with over thirty years of experience in a variety of complex business situations. Pete Scobell is a former U.S. Navy SEAL Lieutenant with 17 years of service, including six combat deployments, best known as the real-life member of the SEAL team that rescued Captain Richard Phillips from Somali pirates in 2009, inspiring the film Captain Phillips. As a pioneering pediatric neurosurgeon at Johns Hopkins Hospital, Carson performed groundbreaking surgeries, including the first successful separation of conjoined twins joined at the back of the head, the first successful neurosurgical procedure on a fetus inside the womb, and developed new methods to treat brain-stem tumors. He retired from medicine in 2013 after a distinguished career that included over 100 neurosurgical publications and numerous awards, including the Presidential Medal of Freedom. As HUD Secretary, Carson oversaw initiatives such as the expansion of the Rental Assistance Demonstration program, the establishment of the White House Opportunity and Revitalization Council, and efforts to reduce veteran homelessness. Following his departure from HUD, Carson founded the American Cornerstone Institute (ACI) in 2021, a conservative think tank centered around advancing policies that promote faith, liberty, community, and life. He also founded Carson Scholars and Little Patriots Learning to directly support excellence in education for young thinkers.
