Tue, 25 Sep 2018 - 21min - 56 - Hundred Suns - Prestaliis - A/side B/side
Whats going down Cantina Crew? We are excited to dive into the debut album from Hundred Suns called "Prestaliis". This band band is a rocking trio comprised of members from established acts Norma Jean and Every Time I Die. Although, a bit of departure from the hardcore sound of the aforementioned acts this record still pumps out some heavy riffage and serious grooves. It's all wrapped up with some strong vocal performances and serious drum work, this album definitely delivers. What did the guys think about it? What was the Six Pack Rating? Check out the episode for that and more.
Just The Wheel was feeling friendly this week and delivered our favorite game A/side, B/side. You know our questions can be ridiculous so definitely check out those answers and let us know what you would choose!
Thanks for listening. Please subscribe, rate and review!!

Tue, 04 Sep 2018 - 25min - 53 - The New Ethic - Cop/Out - Special guest Leo Nardo
Whats up Cantina Crew? This episode is jam packed with awesomeness. We bring our good friend on the show, Leo Nardo. He is involved heavily with Animal Rights and Animal Liberation and we get some amazing insight in the movement, what motivates him and how you can help! For example, the Animal Rights March thats taking place this saturday, September 1st in NYC.
He also brought two demo's for us to check out, first is NYC punk "super-group" Cop/Out. This is an old school 3 song demo that was recorded by the band. It's a fresh take in todays polished music world. Second, is the band The New Ethic. This demo is 5 songs and is a blistering assault on the ear drums. Like this episode, both bands deliver strong messages with just the right amount of punk aesthetic. Listen in to the episode for our Rock Hard Tracks and what we scored each demo.
We also get silly, when "Just The Wheel" decides to give us Celebrity Pool and we are tasked with making our starting Hockey Players out of celebrities. Betty White anyone?
Cheers!
Tue, 28 Aug 2018 - 48min - 52 - Rocky gets Ambushed - Boys Night Out Playlist
Whats up Cantina Crew? If you've been listening for a little while you know that in past episodes Jay Bray and Davis have both been ambushed in episodes they thought were for one specific band or playlist and had the tables turned on them. Well, now its time for some revenge on the man orchestrating such shenanigans. Our very own Rocky. Davis and Jay break down a night on the town with just the guys through an extensive playlist capturing the best moments of the night. Which list will reign victorious? Listen to find out.
We also recap our adventures at Fear The Riff 2, so don't miss that, as we go into all the stories and great gear from the convention. And last but not least we consult with "Just the Wheel" who throws trivia our way, and we struggle throwing it back.
Thanks for listening

Tue, 14 Aug 2018 - 34min - 50 - Nirvana - never mind - Hall of Awesome, Trivia and its our 50th Episode!
We celebrate our 50th episode by getting into one of our favorite albums ever and nominating it for the Hall of Awesome. It's non other than Nirvana's mega-hit, Nevermind. This album shattered the earth on its release, and is credited with starting the grunge movement as well as destroying hair metal. Although, we do love our hair metal here on the Cantina.
It's only fitting that 50 episodes in we try out something new, thanks to our friend "Just the Wheel". Check out the brain power of Jay Bray and Davis when they try some trivia.
50 episodes is a whole lotta music and beer (and sometimes wine..Davis). We just wanna say thank you for the support and keep on listening!
Cheers!

We also break out "Just The Wheel". We got tired of picking games for the episodes and now we got a wheel to do that job for us! No preparation, no scripting, this is podcast awkwardness at its best.
Cheers!

Our inaugural nominee comes from Jay and he went back to the late 90's with an album called "My Own Prison" by Creed. A truly polarizing band that was uber succesful as well as having a bright but short stay on the charts. Did the album make it in? Listen to find out.
