In this epsiode we speak to Oli Gordon who is the Professional Licensing Manager at Concord.

Concord Theatricals provides the UK arts sector with theatrical licensing with a huge catalogue of works including scripts by Lin-Manuel Miranda, Harold Pinter and Rodgers & Hammerstein. If you want to put on an existing piece of work, at an amateur or professional level, then you'll need to get permission to do this from a company like Concord. Oli helps us to undersand the best way to approach this and addresses some common misconceptions. It was great to break down the mystique of theatrical rights (and wrongs),

What's the Camden Fringe pod? Is it about the Camden Fringe? Who is it for? All these burning questions answered in this lovely little trailer.

We don't actually explain what the Camden Fringe is though (for reference it's a theatre and comedy festival that has run in North London each August since 2006 (pandemic permitting.) This podcast is about that.)

In this episode Michelle and Zena talk to Alice Hargreaves and Annie Chadwick from SIC https://sicofficial.co.uk/ about access and inclusivity in Fringe Theatre. We discuss small, and often free, things that can be done to open up access to a show for people with disabilities and different needs, including access riders and relaxed performances.

SIC will be running some in depth Workshops on Access in Theatre during April 2023 which are available to book now: http://bit.ly/sic-access-in-theatre-workshops

We get technical on this episode as we chat to Alyssa Watts who has 20 years of backstage experience including numerous fringe festivals and as a touring stage manager on mid to large scale theatre. She offer advice on preparing the technical side of performances and all the things companies need to consider before embarking on a run at a fringe festival.

We had lots of fun recording this episode in person, but the sound quality suffers slightly, and sometimes Heidi the dog chips in. Fortunately Alyssa's wise words can be heard nice and clearly, it's just Zena and Michelle that let the side down.

We chat to Rhiannon Jenkins about her forthcoming show Good Girl which will be on at the Museum of Comedy 12-13 August https://camdenfringe.com/events/good-girl/

Rhiannon is a UK performer who is bringing her solo show to a few different fringe festivals whilst also relocating her life to the US. The discussion covers the classic subjects of spreadsheets and porn (but not spreadsheet porn.)

Worh noting here that there is a San Franscisco Fringe already in existence.

In this episode we celebrate the first confirmed Camden Fringe show of 2023, discuss shows having Award success at the moment and The Vaults Festival.

We also take a look back in time at festivals gone by - most specifically Edinburgh 2000 and Camden 2008.

We do some swears in this one, but mostly when mentioning rude show titles, so it's not our fault.
