    We’ll have the latest from Parliament, where the Health Minister has been fielding questions from the Opposition this morning.


    Gibraltar picked up a point in Malta last night in the Nations League. Robin Sheppard Capurro will be joining us with reaction to the draw and all the latest from the world of sport.


    A film exploring the impact Alzheimer’s and dementia can have on families is the latest installation in the Memory Project series. Filmmaker Dale Moreno will be here with GADS Chair Jeanette Ochello to tell us about Fading.


    Mrs Gibraltar First Princess Gabriella Luque has repeated her success on the international stage at Mrs Europe 2026. Gabby will tell us about her experience representing Gibraltar at the pageant in Estonia.


    And local artist Rima has a new song out today, inspired by Rosario. We'll be joined by Rima - and hearing a taster of her latest release.

  • 884 - Nations League, Breast Cancer Awareness, EV Bursaries, Sewer Treatment Plant

    In international football, it's all to play for this evening as Gibraltar prepare for their Nations League clash with Malta. Jose Mari Ruiz is in Malta, we'll be hearing from him ahead of the game, which kicks off at 8:45, with coverage on GBC as from 8:15.


    October is Breast Cancer awareness month: an opportunity to promote early detection and support research into the most common cancer in women worldwide. We'll be hearing from chair of the Breast Cancer Support Group, Heidi Jeffries, as well as GHA nurses, Gabriella Gilbert and Hayley Stevens.


    The EV Foundation is providing bursaries to a number of students, providing them access to higher education. Nicole Jones will be here to discuss the bursary scheme which is now in its fourth year


    And works on the wastewater treatment plant continue with the DPC giving full planning permission for excavation works to proceed. Project Director, Carlito Buhagiar, will give us the latest updates.

    It's matchday tomorrow as Gibraltar continue their Nations League campaign away from home in Malta - against the group favourites. We spoke to our sports reporter Jose Mari Ruiz live from Malta who told us how are preparations were going.


    Tomorrow also marks International Day of Older Persons: it's an opportunity to celebrate their contributions and to examine what can be done to help improve the quality of life of our older generations. We had a discussion with Principal Secretary at the Ministry for Equality, April Smart Devincenzi, Chair of GADS, Jeanette Ochello, Gibsams Trustee, Dr Aaron Dehghan and Gibsilver volunteer Bev Owen.

  • 882 - Ukraine Conflict, Supreme Court, Miss Gibraltar, Nations League

    With the war between Russia and Ukraine now in its fifth year, we’ll be hearing from political analyst, Peter Zalmayev. Peter is travelling internationally as he offers his perspective on the war and the wider implications of the conflict for rest of the world.


    We’ll find out about this year’s Miss Gibraltar pageant following last week's announcement of the seven contestants who will be taking part. Organiser, Kelvin Hewitt, will be here alongside Andria Olivares who will be hosting the show.


    Court reporter, Melanie Guilliano Chipolina, gave us the latest updates from the Supreme Court.


    And we also spoke to Jose Mari Ruiz from Malta. Jose Mari has traveled with the Gibraltar squad ahead of their Thursday evening clash with Malta in the Nations League.

  • 881 - Sports, Commonwealth Parliamentary Conference, Functional Nutrition

    We'll begin today's episode by catching up with the weekend's sport with Robin Sheppard-Capurro.


    A local delegation represented Gibraltar at the 69th Commonwealth Parliamentary Conference in Cape Town. The conference is made up of meetings and workshops on subjects including human rights, climate adaptation and disability inclusion. We'll speak to our representatives at the conference, Minister Leslie Bruzon; Gibraltar Parliament Clerk, Phillip Borge McCarthy; and MP Craig Sacarello


    And we're also looking at health, talking to functional nutrition and eating psychology coach Karen Jacobson. She's recently returned from a Health Optimisation Summit, and we'll be finding out more about the event, as well as touching on biohacking and how it optimises brain and body functions.
