On April 22, 2018, a partially naked young man named Travis Reinking opened fire with an AR-15 rifle at a Waffle House in Antioch, Tennessee, killing four innocent people and injuring others. Abbess Mariam, better known as “Mother Rasputin,”  has been described as one of the most prolific female serial killers in modern history.  She cloaked herself in the authority of a Greek Old Calendarist Orthodox abbess while running something far darker than a monastery. He fancied himself a poet, but in reality, was a murderous cannibal. José Luis Calva Zepeda, dubbed the Cannibal Poet, murdered at least one woman in 2007 - his girlfriend, Alejandra Galeana - and dismembered her body inside his home. When police entered his Mexico City apartment, they discovered body parts stored in plastic bags and human meat simmering on the stove.  Further investigation linked him to additional murders of even more women, marked by extreme violence and post-mortem dismemberment. On Friday, April 13, 2012, 22-year-old Brittany Killgore lost her life in a sex dungeon.  She disappeared three days after filing for divorce from her husband, Lance Corporal Cory Killgore, who was deployed in Afghanistan, and was ultimately discovered days later near a lake in Riverside County, California. The autopsy revealed neck injuries consistent with strangulation, and marks on Brittany's wrists and legs suggesting attempted dismemberment with a saw. But the physical evidence was only the beginning of what investigators would uncover, as the trail led to a home with a fully equipped sex dungeon in the basement. For Marius Gustavson, a Norwegian man in London, it began with self-castration. From there, his obsession metastasized into a full-blown operation whereby he performed extreme body modifications on dozens of vulnerable men. Marius filmed the mutilations and streamed them on a pay-per-view website, where he also sold severed genitalia to paying customers. His hunting ground was the “nullo” community, composed of individuals seeking genital removal as a radical form of body modification. Many struggled with Body Integrity Identity Disorder (BIID) and turned to Gustavson for help. Instead, they got mutilation, exploitation, and a predator who feasted on their vulnerability — sometimes literally - as Gustavson went on to cannibalize some of the very testicles he cut off. In July 2022, a 27-year-old single mom from England named Shaye Groves, was convicted of murdering her boyfriend, 25-year-old Frankie Fitzgerald.
