- 248 - Byron Katie: The Simple Practice That Ends Emotional Suffering
In honor of Mother's Day, we invite you into this deeply heartfelt conversation between Byron Katie and Sage Robbins — a moving exploration of motherhood, presence, healing, and the complicated, beautiful love shared between mothers and daughters.
Introduced by Tony Robbins, this episode is more than a conversation — it is a living experience of "The Work," Byron Katie's transformative method of self-inquiry that has helped millions of people find freedom from anxiety, grief, fear, stress, and emotional suffering.
After spending nearly, a decade trapped in severe depression and despair, Byron Katie experienced a life-changing awakening in 1986 that completely transformed the way she understood suffering. From that experience came "The Work," four simple yet profound questions designed to help people question the stressful thoughts that keep them stuck.
In this deeply personal episode, Sage vulnerably shares how discovering Byron Katie's work transformed her own life during a painful season marked by repeated miscarriages, fertility struggles, grief, and being told she had less than a one-in-a-million chance of ever becoming a mother.
But at the emotional center of this conversation is Sage's relationship with her mother, who is currently living with dementia.
Rather than simply discussing "The Work," Byron gently guides Sage through a real-time inquiry surrounding an emotional experience with her mother — unpacking fear, sadness, guilt, projections, and the pain so many people experience while caring for aging parents or witnessing someone they love slowly change.
What unfolds is raw, heartbreaking, beautiful, and ultimately freeing. As Byron guides Sage through the process, pain begins to give way to presence, clarity, grace, and even joy — revealing how much love and connection can be missed when we become trapped inside fearful thoughts.
For anyone navigating caregiving, grief, aging parents, anxiety, loss, or the emotional complexity of family relationships, this conversation may feel deeply personal.
And for anyone celebrating, missing, grieving, honoring, or reflecting on a mother this Mother's Day — this episode is a reminder to slow down, become present, and truly see the people we love.
It is also a beautiful tribute to Byron Katie's extraordinary legacy and the decades-long friendship she has shared with Tony and Sage Robbins.

Sun, 10 May 2026 - 59min - 247 - You're Not Stuck. You're the Problem. | Tony Robbins Full Intervention
What if the real reason your business isn't growing… is you?
In this powerful Business Mastery intervention, Tony Robbins works with Pixie, an entrepreneur who believes her biggest hurdle is a lack of working capital but Tony quickly reveals the real issue has nothing to do with money.
What starts as a conversation about growing her business becomes a deep dive into the hidden emotional patterns holding her back: fear, control, loneliness, and unresolved wounds that are affecting both her leadership and her life.
While this begins in a business setting, the truth is this conversation applies to anyone who has ever felt stuck personally or professionally. As the intervention unfolds, it becomes clear that the real chokehold on growth isn't capital, it's psychology. Tony challenges the fear of losing control, the struggle to trust others, and the constant need to prove your worth that silently sabotages even the most successful leaders.
This isn't just about entrepreneurship. It's about identity. It's about relationships. It's about letting go. It's about becoming the person capable of building the life and business you want. Tony breaks down the belief systems and hidden fears that keep leaders from reaching the next level. Please enjoy!

Wed, 06 May 2026 - 1h 08min - 246 - Why the Person You Love Feels Impossible To Reach Sometimes | Donna Eden & David Feinstein
Why does the person you love most suddenly feel impossible to reach? In this powerful talk from the Tony & Sage Robbins 2025 Platinum Partners Relationship Event in Tulum, Mexico, renowned energy medicine pioneer Donna Eden and psychologist David Feinstein explain what's really happening in your body during conflict and why you can suddenly feel like you're on completely different wavelengths than your partner.
It's not just communication.
When stress hits, your body shifts into a survival response, and in that moment, you lose access to the part of your brain that helps you think clearly, listen, and connect. That's why small moments can escalate so quickly… and why connection can break down almost instantly.
What makes this different is their lens of energy, how your internal state directly shapes the way you show up, react, and communicate in real time.
Throughout this session, Donna and David share simple, practical ways to shift that state, so you can interrupt the pattern, regulate your response, and reconnect even in the middle of conflict.
If you've ever felt stuck in the same arguments or patterns in your relationship, this will change the way you understand what's going on, and give you tools you can use immediately.
Please enjoy!

In this episode of The Holy Grail of Investing, Christopher Zook and Mark Wade sit down with former U.S. Secretary of Homeland Security Michael Chertoff and Co-Founder of The Chertoff Group, Chad Sweet, for a conversation on risk, global security, and the shifting investment landscape.
They share firsthand insights from leading through moments like 9/11, how governments and organizations make decisions with incomplete information, and why "connecting the dots" is critical in both national security and investing. The discussion also explores how geopolitical tensions, cybersecurity threats, and emerging technologies like AI are reshaping where capital is flowing and why the line between government and commercial risk is disappearing.
Wed, 08 Apr 2026 - 1h 07min - 244 - Tony Robbins Saves A Relationship in Under 1 Hour | Full Intervention
Have you ever loved someone deeply… but still felt like you were drifting apart? At Tony and Sage Robbins' 2023 Platinum Partners Relationship Event in Maui, Jacquie and Fabio stepped forward after nearly 10 years together, a shared daughter, and a relationship on the edge of collapse.
Jacquie felt disconnected and afraid of losing the future she wanted. Fabio felt trapped in what Tony calls "the tunnel", the place where a man feels like he's failing in every area of life.
Tony reveals a truth many couples never understand; when fear takes over, love doesn't disappear, it gets buried beneath pain, past experiences, and self-judgment. Through a raw and emotional intervention, Tony and Sage help them see the deeper truth behind their struggle and rediscover the love that brought them together.
Because the strongest relationships aren't the ones without problems… they're the ones where two people choose to fight for each other through the tunnel.
This isn't just a relationship intervention. It's a lesson in emotional courage, devotion, and what it means to truly love another human being.
Watch the moment their story changes forever.
Tue, 24 Mar 2026 - 56min - 243 - Meet The Woman Who Built A $3B Beauty Brand from $0 | Anastasia Soare
In this powerful Business Mastery conversation, Tony Robbins sits down with Anastasia Soare — founder of Anastasia Beverly Hills — to break down what it really takes to build a billion-dollar brand from nothing.
Anastasia escaped Communist Romania in 1989 with no money, no English, and a three-year-old daughter. She arrived in Los Angeles at 31, started her business at 40, and went on to build Anastasia Beverly Hills into a $3 billion global company while creating an entirely new category in the beauty industry.
In Part 2 of this conversation, Tony and Anastasia go deeper into the mindset behind that success — the 12 years she spent traveling to Nordstrom stores every weekend to prove her concept, the Golden Ratio technique that revolutionized eyebrow shaping, and the relentless commitment to quality that allowed her brand to stand out in a crowded market.
They also discuss how to survive market shifts, adapt during crises like COVID, compete when others copy your success, and why the problems you face as an entrepreneur are often proof that you're growing.
The episode concludes with a powerful live Q&A where Tony is joined by both Anastasia and Spartan founder Joe De Sena. Together they answer raw questions about grit, leadership, raising resilient children, and staying hungry even after you've achieved success.
This isn't just a beauty story. It's an immigrant story. It's a story about starting late — and refusing to quit. As Anastasia says: "If you believe in your product, don't you ever give up."
If you've ever thought, it's too late to build something extraordinary — this conversation will change your mind. Want to experience transformational growth for your own business? Joe shares how nearly losing everything during the pandemic reshaped his leadership, why "fire, ready, aim" beats waiting for the perfect plan, and how deliberately choosing discomfort builds the mental toughness required to lead at scale. Together, Tony and Joe explore why most people quit before they ever begin, how to iterate your offer until the market responds, and why mission-driven leadership outperforms motivation when the pressure is on.
This is a must-watch for entrepreneurs, founders, and leaders — and for anyone who wants to build something meaningful without waiting for ideal conditions! *Want to experience transformational growth for your own business? Tue, 10 Mar 2026 - 32min - 241 - Inside America's New Defense Tech: Drones, Data and AI with Joe Lonsdale
In this episode of The Holy Grail of Investing, Christopher Zook sits down with Joe Lonsdale, a leading investor at the intersection of AI, defense, and national competitiveness, for a timely conversation on what is real (and what is hype) in the AI revolution. He breaks down the AI value chain, from energy and chips to data centers, models, software infrastructure, and the applications delivering real economic value, along with where he sees the best risk-reward opportunities. The conversation expands into the strategic stakes of the AI race, including how defense, space, energy, and critical minerals fit together and what it takes to build world-class companies in sectors shaped by both innovation and policy. In this powerful intervention from Date with Destiny 2024, Tony Robbins works with tech entrepreneur Josh—whose journey took him from washing dishes in college to building software used by hundreds of millions. He's achieved incredible success—and endured painful setbacks—but even with everything he's built, something feels off. The fire inside him has burned out.
Josh has embraced the spiritual, laid-back "hippie" within—the side of him that no longer chases external wins. But that identity conflicts with the ambitious, relentless entrepreneur he used to be... and that internal battle has left him stuck.
Tony helps Josh uncover how his unconscious mind has kept these parts of himself at odds—and how to bring them into alignment to unlock his full potential. Using tools like the Psychology of Human Needs and Collapse Anchors, Tony guides Josh to create a new story: one where he doesn't have to choose between sides but can rise as something greater.
This isn't just one man's breakthrough—it's a reflection of the journey we all face. Because when we create harmony within, we awaken the power to become who we're truly meant to be.
We hope this serves you—and we'd love to hear what insight you take away.

Thu, 21 Mar 2024 - 1h 21min - 207 - "Forgiveness Is Not for Them, It's for You" - Immaculée Ilibagiza
How large is your capacity for forgiveness? Author and motivational speaker Immaculée Ilibagiza grew up in a small village in Rwanda, Africa. With her loving parents and three brothers, Immaculée excelled in school and eventually went on to study electrical and mechanical engineering at the National University of Rwanda. However, her life took a dramatic turn in 1994.
On April 6 of that year, the assassination of the Rwandan President ignited months of massacres targeting Tutsi tribe members across the country. To protect his daughter from rape and murder, Immaculée's father instructed her to seek refuge at a local pastor's house. There, she hid with seven other women in a cramped 3 x 4-foot bathroom for the next 91 days. Amidst the genocide raging outside, Immaculée battled anger and resentment, which threatened to consume her mind, body, and spirit. It was in this desperate state that she turned to prayer, clutching a set of rosary beads her father had given her. Through prayer and faith, she found the strength to resist hate, even using this dark time to teach herself English using only a Bible and a dictionary.
Emerging from her hiding place after 91 days, Immaculée faced a harrowing reality—her entire family, except for one brother studying abroad, had been brutally murdered. She also discovered the massacre of nearly one million extended family members, friends, neighbors, and fellow Rwandans. Despite unimaginable suffering, Immaculée shocked the world by forgiving the man who had killed her mother and brother.
Immaculée Ilibagiza's story offers profound insights and actionable steps to strengthen emotional resilience, release burdens through forgiveness, and contribute to a greater shift in collective consciousness. To share Immaculée's message of healing and forgiveness, Sage and Tony Robbins are honored to present this powerful moment from a private event with their Platinum Partners in Mexico. Please enjoy!

Thu, 29 Feb 2024 - 56min - 206 - Watch Your Language! The Power of Spoken Word
Welcome to another family edition of The Tony Robbins Podcast. In this intimate conversation, you'll hear from Tony Robbins, his wife Sage Robbins, and their surrogate and family podcast host, Mary B., as they explore the profound POWER of OUR SPOKEN WORDS. In a world where words carry an invisible but undeniable currency, our emotions and therefore the quality of our lives are sculpted by the meanings embedded in the words we choose.
There's power and responsibility within the words we attach to our experience of life – whether in the boardroom, family room, or across the airwaves. If you're feeling "stuck", "anxiety," "enraged," "delighted," "curious," or even "depressed," Tony shows us how to take inventory of the words we consistently use to describe our experience, and how we can consciously select our words to alter our experience of life.
This isn't your typical self-affirmation exercise; it's a powerful exploration of incantations, decrees, prayer, conversation, internal dialogue, and a practice that transformed Tony's life during the challenging times of his early years.
Listen to Tony's personal testimony as he shares -- during despair and uncertainty -- how he turned to incantations as a source of strength and transformation. From being broke and sleeping in a Volkswagen to who he is as a leader, husband, and father today, Tony's incantations have been a constant companion on his 46-year journey of growth, contribution, and impact. As a modern family constellation, Sage, Mary, and Tony also shed light on the transformational vocabulary and the language ratios they work to implement in their home, as well as the contemporary relevance of the power of spoken words, when it comes to the timely topic of freedom of speech and expression. It's an important reminder that our habitual words hold weight in contributing to the broader dialogue that's shaping our world and our collective relationship with humanity.
Join us for more than just a chat – it's a journey into the power of language. Every word carries the ability to shape, transform, and awaken something within you and NOW is the time to harness this power and use it as we move forward into a new year!

Mon, 23 Oct 2023 - 1h 23min - 204 - SEE THE WORLD THROUGH A STORY! The Wisdom of Dr. Jordan Peterson
DR. JORDAN B. PETERSON is a renowned psychologist, globally acclaimed author, podcaster, Professor Emeritus at the University of Toronto, and one the most influential contemporary voices in our world today. For twenty years, Peterson has taught some of the most highly regarded courses at Harvard and Toronto, as well as authored books that have changed international discourse -- including "Maps of Meaning" and the bestsellers "12 Rules for Life" and "Beyond Order". With a magnetic and brutally honest speaking style, and a fiercely devoted following, Peterson continues to leave his mark on the culture at large.
In April of 2023, Tony & Sage Robbins hosted an intimate gathering at their home for their Platinum Lions members. The event featured an elite roster of speakers who delved into the pressing issues of our time: Foreign relations, how AI will reshape global order, the new economy in a post-pandemic world, the impact of Chat GPT, international politics, and cultural revolutions.
Closing the special event was this extraordinary lecture from Dr. Jordan Peterson. In this provocative presentation, Peterson explores the profound question of why we -- as individuals -- hold the beliefs we do, while teaching us how to intricately weave the concept of storytelling into our narrative. He also embarks on a discovery to uncover order amidst chaos, as well as touches on the importance of overcoming external predators by confronting them head-on.
Courtesy of Tony and Sage Robbins, prepare to be enlightened by the singular Dr. Jordan Peterson. Please enjoy!

Sat, 01 Jul 2023 - 51min - 202 - Secret Recipe for Success | Chik-fil-A's Dan Cathy on Family, Faith & Exceptional Service
In this special 3-PART MASTERCLASS, we drop you inside a Tony Robbins Business Mastery seminar to learn HOW TO BUILD A BRAND, SHOWCASE YOUR X FACTOR, and BRING YOUR UNIQUE PRODUCT or SERVICE to a COMPETITIVE MARKET.
In PART TWO, you'll hear Tony Robbins in a one-on-one interview with DAN CATHY, the dynamic Chairman of Chick-fil-A, Inc., the iconic family-owned fast food chain specializing in chicken sandwiches.
Under Dan's leadership, Chick-fil-A has become the 3rd largest fast food chain in America, behind McDonald's and Starbucks. Since 2013, the company has expanded to over 2,600 restaurants in 47 states and the District of Columbia, as well as new ventures into the Asian market. However, it's Dan's unwavering commitment to customer service that has been the real key element to the company's immense success. With an emphasis on family and community, and a tireless dedication to maintaining a positive workplace culture, Chick-fil-A is more than just a fast food dining experience – it's a model for how businesses should inspire their employees and treat their customers.
*Fun fact: Chick-fil-A has been closed on Sundays since 1946. While it's estimated the chain loses over $1 billion in potential yearly revenue, the family continues to honor this tradition – which encourages employees to rest, spend time with family and worship (if they choose).

In PART ONE, you'll hear Tony Robbins in a one-on-one interview with GAIL BECKER, Founder and CEO of CAULIPOWER, a wildly successful brand that has revolutionized the frozen food market by introducing healthier and innovative alternatives. And the best part – Gail didn't launch this company until the age of 52.
Becker started her career in public relations, working for prominent media companies such as Warner Bros. and the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation. In 2001, she co-founded "Strategic, Inc.," which specialized in providing strategic communications and media relations services to clients in the entertainment, media, and consumer sectors.
However, following the death of her father in 2015, Gail needed a change. Emboldened by her two sons' diagnosis of Celiac Disease, Gail embarked on a mission to find both healthy and delicious alternatives to gluten-containing foods. She began experimenting with cauliflower as a substitute. After countless trial and error, Gail succeeded in creating a recipe that her family actually adored. It was at this moment that CAULIPOWER was born.
Thanks to Gail's vision and perseverance, CAULIPOWER has become one of the fastest-growing food companies in the United States -- and a $500M brand. Gail has also proven that it's never too late to become a successful entrepreneur.

Tue, 20 Dec 2022 - 1h 41min - 196 - Expand Your Identity | Featuring Tony Robbins, Sage and Mary B.
In this special podcast episode of The Tony Robbins Podcast, you'll hear from Tony Robbins, his wife Sage Robbins, and podcast host Mary B., as they discuss the most important tool for creating lasting change: IDENTITY.
Have you ever asked yourself, why did I try to make a change but not succeed? Often, it's "how" we define ourselves that can lead to either our success or stagnation.
As Tony notes, "The most powerful force in the human personality is the need to stay consistent with how we define ourselves." In fact, after 45 years of working with people in 195 countries – from the most successful to the most challenged – Tony believes that the single most important element in understanding what drives a person is to understand how they identify themselves.
Identity is simply the culmination of the beliefs that shape how we perceive ourselves. These beliefs control how we think, feel and interact with the world around us. They also influence what we decide to do (and not do) in our own lives. Therefore, as Sage Robbins explains, what we put after "I am" is something we must always be mindful of.
By the end of this conversation, we hope you'll have the tools and inspiration to update – and upgrade – your own sense of identity. Maybe it's time to expand it as you move toward a life of growth. Or perhaps remove some of those labels that might be limiting you.
Note: In case you'd rather watch the video version of this conversation – which includes behind the scenes footage with Tony, Sage and Mary B – click on the "Expand Your Identity" video that's on Tony's YouTube Channel, found at youtube.com/TonyRobbinsLive.

Tue, 22 Nov 2022 - 1h 03min - 195 - Boom Chicka Mom & Pop! | One Couple's Road to a $250M Acquisition
In this podcast, we drop you inside a Tony Robbins Business Mastery seminar for a 1-hour masterclass in how to build a brand that not only changes the game but empowers your customer base.
You'll hear Tony Robbins in a dynamic interview with the co-founders of BOOMCHICKAPOP, a wildly successful natural and organic popcorn brand that completely disrupted the snack industry.
Angie and Dan Bastian were looking to put aside some money for their kids' college fund when they started a small kettle corn business out of their garage. Initially selling popcorn at outdoor events, including Minnesota Vikings games, the couple soon took their popcorn to Trader Joe's, Target, and Costco – gaining a crash course in how to operate a business along the way. The real game changer took place when the then-named Angie's Kettle Corn embraced a bold new identity: BOOMCHICKAPOP.
Angie retired from being a nurse practitioner and Dan from a history teacher and baseball coach to run their company full time. And after years of commitment and sacrifice, the Bastian's sold their business in 2017 to Chicago-based Conagra Brands for $250 million.
In this candid conversation, the couple reveals how facing their fears and connecting to their customer base in a fresh and empowering way led to their ultimate success.

Thu, 07 Jul 2022 - 1h 33min - 191 - What does it mean to be a father? | An exclusive conversation with Tony, Sage, and Mary B. on the difference between a dad and a father
As we approach Father's Day, join Tony Robbins, his wife Sage Robbins, and host Mary B. as they discuss their fathers, their modern family, a 14-month-old daughter, and the distinction Tony draws between a father and a dad.
An archetype is just a fancy word for pattern and the universal father energy is within us and around us all, regardless of your relationship with your own father, whether you have children, or your gender. Our experience of father(s) shapes our life and influences who we become.
Fathers, brothers, grandpas, godfathers, uncles, and father figures hold the powerful possibility to affect us in meaningful ways. By also recognizing these energies within us and calling upon them in different circumstances and contexts, we are able to live life fully, with access to a multitude of gifts, abilities, experiences, and emotions.
We invite you to notice, honor, and appreciate the father figures in your life as we commemorate Father's Day with this exclusive conversation.

Sat, 18 Jun 2022 - 1h 06min - 190 - Your Success is 80% Psychology | How to Use Mindfulness and Meditation to Prime Your Nervous System for Peak Performance
Mindfulness and meditation aren't just about spirituality or stress relief.
In today's world of constant demands and digital distractions, mindfulness is about making your moments truly matter and living up to your full potential. It's about your power to put your attention where you want it to be and not on what someone else dangles on a screen in front of you.
This is just one reason why Tony Robbins incorporates a gratitude meditation into his daily morning routine to prime his mind every single day.
If you're familiar with any of Tony Robbins peak performance strategies, you know that your ability to maintain a peak state is a key component of living the life you desire. Your state is affected by the way you use your physical body, your ability to direct your mind's focus, and the language or meaning you give to your experiences.
Knowing this, it's no wonder that we aren't able to be the best version of ourselves when we are in a stressed state. The incoherence of our head and heart, the jitters in our nervous system and body makes us less effective and less resourceful.
In this 1-hour episode you'll hear from Tony Robbins, his wife Sage Robbins, and podcast host Mary B. as they discuss one of the most valuable skills to maximize your mindset and prime yourself for power, clarity, concentration, and focused attention.

Tue, 24 May 2022 - 1h 17min - 189 - The Power of Unconditional Love | An exclusive conversation with Sage Robbins
We're all here together in this Earth School learning, doing the best we can, making mistakes, picking ourselves back up. The soothing balm that keeps us going is often another's kindness, caring, connection, and love. Its power is truly transformational.
If you think of any great mother, real or archetypal, they have a capacity to love unconditionally – to accept, to allow, to give, to understand, to listen, to nurture. A mother's love brims with compassion and mercy. Even when their beloved has behavior that may be less desirable, there's still a universal knowingness and a loving essence for the human heart before them.
That unconditional aspect of love is what is discussed in this one hour special edition episode. Hear Tony, Sage, and Mary B converse on what it means to sponsor life.
There's a beauty to life. The mess of it, and the sweetness of it, and the pain of it. And so, it's not to say that there aren't challenges and that there isn't pain in moments like right now with what's happening on the world stage. But we can contribute to the schism, or we can be a balm. We can be a balm of kindness, and goodness, and look to bring love, light, illumination, presence, connectedness, to be an ear to listen. It's amazing how that can shift another's world. I know what it feels like for me to receive that. I know what it feels like to offer that. And I think that's a beautiful reality that sometimes in the busyness of life, we can forget how impactful in a moment we can touch another. That we can reach another. That we can move another. That we can remind each other because we're mirroring each other and as we're offering that we're experiencing that. Everything that I'm saying to you in this moment, it's really all selfishly for myself. Life is such a beautiful house of mirrors. We're all reflecting each other.

ClassPass users around the world have logged more than 100 million hours of workouts, while Dave's Killer Bread is flying off shelves at a record pace. What do their founders attribute the success of their brands to?
At a recent Business Mastery event, Tony Robbins hosts an in-depth conversation with both Payal Kadakia, the founder and CEO of ClassPass, and Dave Dahl, the founder of Dave's Killer Bread.
ClassPass is this decade's first unicorn, a start-up that reached a billion dollar valuation. But it is Kadakia's passion for and dedication to her company's mission of providing soul nourishing experiences to its community that drives her daily.
After spending 15 years in prison, Dahl seized his second chance by creating healthy, great-tasting bread recipes that became Dave's Killer bread. He sold his company a few years ago to the second-largest bakery in the nation for $275M.
While Kadakia and Dahl have very diverse backgrounds and entrepreneurial stories, they both harnessed challenges, obstacles and disappointments to drive them, rather than destroy them. They became servant leaders, dedicated to the needs of their raving fans, which translated into incredible opportunities to change the world through innovation and inspiration.

Thu, 27 May 2021 - 1h 25min - 181 - A new approach to wellness | Chris Kresser explains the keys to a healthy diet and why Western medicine is failing us
Heart disease, stroke, cancer, type 2 diabetes and obesity are plaguing the country. Nearly half of all adults in the United States have one such health condition, while 25% have two or more of these chronic illnesses. And as of now, we are spending close to 20% of our nation's GDP on disease management. But here's the thing - chronic diseases are also among the most preventable of all health problems.
In this episode of the Tony Robbins Podcast, we sit down with Chris Kresser - a globally recognized leader in the fields of ancestral health, Paleo nutrition, and functional and integrative medicine. Chris has been studying, practicing, and teaching alternative medicine for more than fifteen years. He has trained with world-renowned healers and educators in a variety of disciplines throughout the U.S., Thailand, and Indonesia. His website, ChrisKresser.com is one of the top 25 natural health sites in the world, and his book, Your Personal Paleo Code, was a New York Times best seller.
Chris helps us explore the practice of functional medicine and how environment and behavior can have serious implications when it comes to some of the most chronic health issues. He delves into gut bacteria, diet myths, sugar, and carbs. And he discusses just why the current system of health care is focused on treating symptoms, when the focus should really be on addressing the underlying causes of the problem. There is a profound connection between diet and disease, and Chris helps shed light on what we can do to and the changes we can start making right now to achieve a better sense of health and well-being.

Tue, 16 May 2017 - 39min - 179 - Airbnb & The Art of Resilience | How a flexible strategy and strong perseverance built a $30B company
In this episode of the Tony Robbins Podcast, we are bringing back to Business Mastery one more time, where Tony recently led a panel discussion with the business leaders behind some of today's fastest growing companies. And for this episode, you're going to hear from one of the founders of a company that change the travel industry forever.
When is the last time you booked a trip somewhere? Where did you stay? Was it a hotel? Or did you opt for the alternative and rent a room, or maybe an entire house, from a local?
The idea of staying in a stranger's home may have blown your mind a few years ago, but today it's not just a standard practice, it's actually the preferred accommodation for tens of millions of travelers across the world. And there's one company to thank for that – Airbnb.
Airbnb started as a simple solution to a pressing problem; co-founders Joe Gebbia and Brian Chesky couldn't afford rent, so they opened up their San Francisco apartment for guests to stay in. They soon realized they may be onto something bigger than just a way to avoid being evicted. So, along with their old roommate, Nathan Blecharczyk, they started to build it into a business. But that was nearly 10 years ago.
Airbnb has evolved substantially since then, though it was by no means a straight path to success. In fact, they launched and relaunched a number of times. They found themselves up to their ears in debt, rejected by investors over and over and were very close to flatlining on more than one occasion.
You will hear their story of perseverance, and how they were able to find opportunities for massive growth where there were seemingly none. You will also hear about the importance their design background played in creating trust amidst strangers and giving customers the experience they wanted. And you will hear how they transcended cultural boundaries and were ultimately able to turn a floundering idea into a global business that operates in more than 34,000 cities in 91 countries, and is now estimated to be worth $30 billion.
Wed, 03 May 2017 - 50min - 178 - The Ultimate Customer Experience | Warby Parker Co-Founder Neil Blumenthal on giving customers everything they didn't know they need
In this episode of the Tony Robbins Podcast, we are bringing you back to Business Mastery, where Tony recently led a panel discussion with the business leaders behind some of today's fastest growing companies. And this time, you're going to hear from one of the founders of a company that changed the eyewear business forever.
If you have ever worn eyeglasses, then you know that the traditional process is expensive and inconvenient. On average, a pair of glasses costs nearly $300. And the trips you have to make to the retailer to sift through the pairs, try them on, and order your final choice can really stack up. It's a real pain point for a lot of people. But that is exactly why four friends at Wharton Business School decided to start a business that did something about it.
Neil Blumenthal, Dave Gilboa, Andy Hunt and Jeff Raider launched Warby Parker in 2010. The premise was simple - offer customers high-quality eyewear at affordable prices, and establish a convenient, direct-to-consumer model so that customers could get eyeglasses anytime and anywhere. But what made this company so special was how focused they were on perfecting the customer experience and the massive amounts of research and experimentation they did to find that sweet spot.
In this episode, you are going to hear from Neil Blumenthal on the vision behind Warby Parker, why it was so critical for them to optimize every single dollar they put into the company and the tools and strategies that helped them build Warby Parker into a billion dollar business.

Fri, 24 Mar 2017 - 27min - 175 - Amplify Your Strengths | Todd Herman on alter egos, secret identities and how to get out of your own way
There are critical moments in all of our lives that could potentially be great opportunities for growth and expansion -- any high stakes situation such as an interview, a pitch, an important meeting. However, so many of us aren't prepared to take advantage of those opportunities because we lack the tools and skills necessary to execute when we need it most. And ultimately, we miss out on what could be life-changing moments, and we end up not living up to our potential.
In this episode of the Tony Robbins Podcast, we sit down with performance coach and advisor, Todd Herman. Todd is the Founder of The Peak Athlete, a mental toughness training & sports science research company, advising Pro & Olympic athletes for over 18 years. Because we have the capacity to create who we want to be, in any situation, and we have the potential to reach any of our goals - as long as we learn how to get out of our own way.
Fri, 24 Feb 2017 - 49min - 174 - Becoming an extraordinary leader | General McChrystal and Chris Fussell on shared consciousness, empowering employees and building a cohesive team
Abraham Lincoln, Nelson Mandela, Steve Jobs, Oprah Winfrey – some of the greatest leaders of all time. But what makes each of these individuals such a remarkable leader? And how do we define great leadership?
We may be apt to hold on to the traditional notion that leadership is defined by rank and order. But your position or title alone does not qualify you as a veritable leader. Think about it, how many CEOs are there in the world that hold a position of great power, but have a nominal impact on their employees? How many managers aren't even respected by those that they manage? Even brilliant and innovative individuals can stumble when it comes to finding their voice. Because leadership is not defined by a position, nor it is even defined by intellectual prowess or natural talent – leadership is the skill of influence, something that you can use to impact the thoughts, feelings, emotions and actions of others. And it is the most important skill that anyone of us can master.
Yet as important as leadership is, in today's world, it's a rarity. And that's not because there is a scarcity of natural born leaders. In fact, leadership can be cultivated. Many of us suppose it's an innate talent, but anyone can become a leader in something that they decide to become masterful in. You could be the leader in your business, the leader in your class, the leader in your own family. You could even decide to become the leader of your own life. There are different types and different styles of leadership. But real leadership starts with the capacity to discipline your disappointment. Because along any journey worth taking, you are going to encounter obstacles, and odds are, you are going to fail. But if you can find a way to connect to yourself, and connect to others, and if you can find a way to break through those challenges, you can become a true leader. And when you strive to serve the greater good – something greater than yourself – that's when you can become a truly great leader.
Tony and Mary Buckheit recently sat down with General Stanley McChrystal and Chris Fussell to discuss what great leadership looks like today and how to cultivate an infrastructure for success in any organization.
General Stanley A. McChrystal has been called "one of America's greatest warriors" by Secretary of Defense Robert Gates. A retired four-star general, he is the former commander of U.S. and International Security Assistance Forces (ISAF) Afghanistan and the former commander of the premier military counter-terrorism force, Joint Special Operations Command (JSOC). He is best known for developing and implementing the current counter-insurgency strategy in Afghanistan, and for creating a comprehensive counter-terrorism organization that revolutionized the interagency operating culture.
General McChrystal now serves as a senior fellow at Yale University's Jackson Institute for Global Affairs where he teaches a course on Leadership in Operation. And he co-founded the McChrystal Group in January of 2011 where he is currently a partner. McChrystal Group's mission is to deliver innovative leadership solutions to American businesses to help them transform and succeed in challenging and dynamic environments.
Chris Fussell is a former Navy SEAL Officer, where he spent 15 years leading SEAL elements in combat zones around the globe. He served as Aide-de-Camp to Lieutenant General McChrystal during McChrystal's final year commanding JSOC, becoming an integral part of the team that made the Special Operation's transformation into a successful, agile network possible. Fussell is also a partner at the McChrystal Group, where he leads the McChrystal Group Leadership Institute, where he brings his Special Operations experience and his expertise in leadership development to organizations of all sizes. In addition to being a New York Times bestselling author, he regularly does media interviews, gives keynotes speeches, and speaks to business leaders at roundtables and panels.
In this episode of the podcast, you will hear Tony, General McChrystal and Chris delve into the reasons that leadership no longer comes from a command and control model, but from creating relationship-based change throughout the entire organization and by empowering every single person that is part of your business. And they examine the importance of building trust, remaining flexible, practicing empathy, and creating a culture of shared consciousness. By breaking out of the traditional sense of leadership, business owners can create a more cohesive and more powerful team that is not only more unified, but more efficient, and ultimately, more effective.
Thu, 02 Feb 2017 - 1h 32min - 173 - Jordan Harbinger on social influence | How human behavior and social conditioning influence our actions and reactions
Building a better business starts with building better relationships. The relationships you have with your employees, with your customers, with your vendors, colleagues, contacts and investors – these can all help you build social capital. And social capital can become one of the most powerful tools in your arsenal, as it creates a level of trust, understanding and even loyalty that will allow your business to thrive, even in uncertain times. In short, social capital is power.
In this episode of the Tony Robbins, we speak with Jordan Harbinger. A Wall Street lawyer turned talk show host, Jordan is widely regarded as an expert in social influence, interpersonal dynamics and social engineering.
He's the owner and co-founder of The Art of Charm, a consulting and coaching company, as well as a top 50 podcast on iTunes – which he's been hosting for over a decade.
Jordan's company, The Art of Charm, holds boot camps and training sessions for companies and individuals that want to learn the elements of emotional intelligence to become more persuasive, confident and charismatic.
Jordan delves into the role that communication plays when it comes to building social relationships, and the importance of understanding nonverbal cues and gestures. From your facial expressions to the way you carry yourself, every single non-verbal notion has the potential to communicate specific attributes about who you are as a person – whether you are insecure or confident, approachable or aloof, curious or disinterested. Because human beings are wired to subconsciously interpret these signals. And we are innately inclined to make sweeping judgments and inferences from body language. These judgments can ultimately influence meaningful life decisions; like who we choose to employ or engage with. And Jordan helps us understand how these nonverbal signals influence our relationships, our interactions, and our abilities to get what we want in life.
Fri, 13 Jan 2017 - 55min - 172 - Talking with Titans: A visit with Tim Ferriss reveals the tactics, routines, and habits of billionaires, icons, and world-class performers
If you're going to succeed in anything, if you're going to take your life to another level and make a real breakthrough, then you need strategies. Whether it is in your relationship, your career, your health, your finances, your happiness – you need to know how to make the shift. Tony Robbins has spent the majority of his life looking for the strategies that bring the quickest results, in the shortest amount of time with the most enjoyment and the least amount of pain. And one of the most powerful strategies he has discovered is modeling.
Success leaves clues. If someone is consistently successful, they aren't just lucky, they have a strategy that works. And if you study them, you can figure out what it is, and you can learn and adopt their patterns and save yourself decades of trial and error. This modeling strategy is so powerful, that it has become the lifeblood of some of the most accomplished people in the world, including Tim Ferriss.

Wed, 07 Dec 2016 - 1h 13min - 171 - The 3 steps to a breakthrough | How taking control of your strategy, story and state can fuel lasting change
We've all had some area in our life that we said we are going to change. Whether it's our relationship, our business, finances, career, health -- we all have something that we want to take to the next level, but for one reason or another, we just never made it happen. Maybe we pulled back too soon, or didn't follow through. Maybe we made an excuse or even sabotaged it before we had a chance to start. Whatever the reason, we just couldn't break through.
In this episode of the Tony Robbins Podcast, Tony delves into the three key components to creating a breakthrough: strategy, story and state. The way you approach a goal, your beliefs about your life, and your mental game form the foundation for any success or failure. But by learning how to take control of these forces, you can take massive action and can create the quality of life that you've always wanted.Fri, 18 Nov 2016 - 39min - 170 - The Unhealthy Truth | Robyn O'Brien on how food is making us sick – and what we can do about it
Every single day, it seems that we are inundated with programs, products, books and ideas about how to prevent disease, lose weight, and improve our appearance. And we respond to it. So much so, that an estimated $100 billion is spent worldwide searching for that magic formula that will yield amazing fitness and alluring physical beauty. But, in the United States alone, a staggering two-thirds of the population are still overweight, with 25 million suffering from diabetes and half of the population on some type of prescription drug for health problems.
Why is that? Because the solution to these challenges does not lie with any trend or fad diet, nor any pharmacological or technological fix. There are no shortcuts here. Rather, the solution to these issues is not about following a new diet fad or experimenting with a trending workout regime. There are no shortcuts or hacks. The real answer lies in adopting a lifestyle of health, and taking a more conscious and proactive approach to taking care of your body. And a big part of that is becoming more aware of what you are putting in your body.On this episode of the Tony Robbins Podcast, we are speaking to the acclaimed food expert that the New York Times and Bloomberg have dubbed "food's Erin Brockovich" – Robyn O'Brien.
You may have seen Robyn's TEDx talk on the evolution of food allergies – questioning whether we are allergic to food or what's been done to it. Or read her best-selling book, "The Unhealthy Truth," that reveals the alarming relationship between the manipulation of our food and both the increase in dangerous allergies in our children as well as the increase in disease across the country.
And in this interview, you will hear Robyn discuss what it takes to make the commitment to health, what it means to truly eat clean, and what the transformative impact of diet means for not only our physical well-being, but our mental and emotional states as well. You will also hear Robyn dive into GMO safety, antibiotics in meat, organic diets, and, of course, what causes food allergies – all issues that Robyn has dedicated herself towards bringing awareness to over the past decade, working with consumers, corporations and politicians to expose the truth and set real change into action. So we can all have a real roadmap to healthier living.Sat, 29 Oct 2016 - 47min - 169 - The Legendary John Wooden (an interview with Tony Robbins) | Part 2: What it means to build character, be a true leader and win the game of life

Thu, 13 Oct 2016 - 59min - 167 - Why We Do What We Do | Tony explains the 6 Human Needs – an update of his famous 2006 TED talk
Whatever emotion you're after, whatever vehicle you pursue — whether it's building a business, getting married, raising a family or traveling the world — there are six basic, universal needs that make us tick and drive all human behavior. Every single person in this world has these same six needs, but each of us value these needs in different ways, and each of us have varied beliefs about what it means to satisfy those needs. And this is what becomes the driving force behind everything we do, and determines the direction of our lives.
Tony introduced the 6 human needs over 10 years ago, in 2006, at the famous TED conference in Monterey, California. That talk, which was called "Why we do the things we do," was one of the first 6 TED talks ever, and is now the #6 most viewed TED talk of all time.
In this episode of the Tony Robbins Podcast, you will hear Tony delve deeper into the 6 human needs – certainty, significance, variety, love/connection, growth and contribution – and how each influences our thoughts, feelings, behaviors and actions. It's a taste of what you will experience at his signature event, Unleash the Power Within. And it's one of the most important skills that you ever acquire. Because by understanding the needs that shape your behavior, you will be able to take back control over your life, and even learn how to create new patterns that lead to lasting fulfilment.

Fri, 16 Sep 2016 - 33min - 166 - How To Make The Decision To Do The Impossible | Siri Lindley on overcoming failure, moving away from fear and learning to love herself
Where do you go from failure? The most successful people in the world have recorded massive failures, and for many of them, failure was the greatest influence in their ascent to greatness. Why?
It comes down to perspective; failure is only the end if you choose to see it that way.
Step 1: Make the decision. We all have the power to choose. We can't control events, but we can choose what to focus on, we can choose what those events mean, and we can choose what to do now. These three decisions control our lives. So it is not the conditions of our lives, but rather the decisions that determine our destiny.
In this episode of the Tony Robbins Podcast, hosts Tony and Mary B. shift the focus to being true, bouncing back, and being all of who you are.
They speak to friend and hero, Siri Lindley. The former 2-time ITU World Champion who just this year was inducted to the USA Triathlon Hall of Fame. She is a Brown University graduate.
Siri has coached a number of Olympic and Ironman athletes to championships, including Miranda Carfare but why we really wanted to have Siri on the podcast was for the chance to listen to her unique life experiences.
In this episode, Siri opens up about fear, suffering, training, triathlons, coaching, recruiting, Neighbors, and love. She explains to Tony and Mary B. how these life challenges ultimately became her greatest gifts.
Siri and Tony help us to understand that to be truly great at anything, you must always start with yourself.
Listen to the podcast and get the message: Be true. Be you. Be brave. Be relentless. Love is love.

Thu, 28 Jul 2016 - 164 - A Look Inside Date with Destiny | How masculine and feminine energies impact relationships
One of the most fascinating subjects at Date with Destiny is polarity – the masculine and the feminine. It's the key to creating lasting passion in a relationship, and to establishing not just love, but a deep intimate connection with your partner.
For many couples, the passion and excitement that was once present in the beginning of the relationship fizzles over time. So while they may still have plenty in common, and enjoy doing things together or even share loving moments, they don't have the electricity and magnetism that they desire.
Why is this story so familiar? In many cases, it comes down to polarity. Because under certain circumstances, men and women will put on the mask of the opposite energy. For example, when stressed, women put on masculine energy as a protection source. And if she is with a masculine male, then the opportunity for passion and connection is non-existent.
To help you understand the role of the masculine and feminine energies, and how to break out of the masks and help yourself and your partner get back to the true self, we are sharing an exclusive look at a previous Date with Destiny event. In this episode, you will witness Tony's work with a couple struggling to regain the polarity in their relationship, and how a few simple shifts in perspective and beliefs help them achieve an intimacy and connection that brings true fulfillment and happiness to their lives.

Mon, 25 Jul 2016 - 44min - 163 - The Making of "Tony Robbins: I Am Not Your Guru" | An interview with documentary filmmaker Joe Berlinger
Hundreds of thousands of people have attended Tony Robbins programs, but there's an event that only takes place once a year in the States, where 2,500 people from all over the world come to Florida to experience one of his most intimate and intensive seminars — Date with Destiny.
It's six days of total immersion, and the people who take that journey discover who they are, what drives them, and their ultimate purpose, and they dive deep into how they interact and relate with others. In short, this is the place where they deal with the hard stuff. And with thousands of people in a room, digging into their pasts, envisioning their future, you name it -- you can imagine how emotionally charged the room gets, and how personal of an experience Date with Destiny is.
So it's not hard to understand why Tony never allowed cameras in to document the event. But that all changed when he met acclaimed documentary filmmaker, Joe Berlinger.
Tony and Joe were first introduced to each other by two other heavy-hitters in the entertainment industry -- Brian Koppelman and David Levien -- who themselves had attended Date with Destiny and ultimately went on to executive produce the documentary.
For those of you familiar with Joe's body of work, you may be surprised that Joe would have pursued a subject like Date with Destiny in the first place. And you may be especially curious as to why he felt so strongly that he pressed Tony for years to say agree to it.
After all, Berlinger is known for investigative films like the Paradise Lost trilogy about the West Memphis Three, exposing cracks in the criminal justice system, and "Crude," which is about pollution in the Amazon from giant oil companies. His work, for the most part, has been geared toward taking us into the issues of the world that are often obscured by media or politics, and the uncovering disturbing truths.
So for this film, it's a bit of a departure in subject. But the motivation, the storytelling, and the deep dive into parts unknown — that's all there. And that's what made the endeavor a clear choice for Joe.
The film is called "Tony Robbins: I Am Not Your Guru" and it premiered at South by Southwest in March, followed by a string of showings at film festivals. The documentary has been picked up by Netflix and will premier to members worldwide on July 15th.

An NFL game from the 50-yard line. The PGA Masters up close and personal. The heavy-weight boxing match from ring-side. The World Series from behind home plate. Virtual reality is poised to disrupt the entire athletics and entertainment industry as we know it
In this episode of the Tony Robbins Podcast, you will hear from Chairman of NextVR, Brad Allen, about how NextVR anticipated this enormous opportunity in the marketplace and strategically innovated to meet consumers' needs in a way that no one else ever has.

When a business is struggling, most business owners shift their entire focus to strategy. But 80% of the time, the chokehold on your business is actually your psychology. Yes, the strategy, the skills, the tools — these are all critical components to creating real and sustainable growth, but knowledge alone is not power, it's simply potential power. Execution will always create greater results than theory. And execution starts with your psychology.
In this special episode of the Tony Robbins podcast, marketing expert Joe Polish speaks to Tony Robbins and Peter Diamandis about their core beliefs, their approach to challenging times, and their path to achieving an extraordinary life.

Fri, 27 May 2016 - 54min - 154 - Are You a Wantrapreneur? | Noah Kagan explains the 3 ways you can become a real entrepreneur
For so many aspiring entrepreneurs, the road stops at an idea. Sure, they may build a website, design a logo, maybe even create a comprehensive business plan. But until they make that first sale, they're still just a wantrapreneur – that is, someone who spends their time and money on everything else except creating a real business. Real entrepreneurs, on the other hand, care about one thing: building a product or service that people want and making that sale.
In this episode of the Tony Robbins Podcast, appSumo CEO and serial entrepreneur Noah Kagan shares his personal tips for building a business, and talks about what it really takes to be a successful entrepreneur. Because the road to startup success is anything but clear, leaving plenty of room for creative ingenuity. But if you don't have the right tools and mindset, then the only guarantee you have is that your road will stop short

Wed, 11 May 2016 - 30min - 152 - The #1 Secret to Productivity | Lessons from Pulitzer Prize winning journalist, Charles Duhigg
Why do habits exist? How can they be changed? And how can they transform our lives and our businesses?
Our habit-making behavior stands at the core of how we live our lives and how we run our businesses. As many as 40-45% of our daily activities are habits, which means that if you don't get your habits right, you won't reach your goals. This is why it is so critical to understand the evolution of a habit – how it is formed and how it emerges – and how to use that to your advantage. This will not only help you achieve more in your personal life. It is how your business can figure out how to get customers to change their own habits and form new ones associated with your product or store.
In this episode of the Tony Robbins Podcast, you will hear from Charles Duhigg – pulitzer-prize winning reporter for The New York Times, and author of the NYT best-selling book The Power of Habit and the recently released, Smarter Better Faster – as he discusses how harnessing the power of habits can transform our businesses, our communities and our lives.
