It's the final game of the season, and the last time Martin Rutherford will take to the pitch in a long, respected, and professional career as a football referee. There's a lot riding on this game between Rovers and United. United are playing for promotion, and Rovers to avoid relegation.

With a good clean game with plenty of flow and the focus on the football, all played within the laws of the game, there's no reason they can't have a fitting, dignified, trouble-free end to the season...

On a sleeper train from Paris to Bourg St Maurice, 6 passengers enter cabin number 9 in an effort to get some sleep. We meet quite the collection of characters, all confined to a tiny space. And when a dead body falls from the sky, the journey gets pretty interesting as they try to work out the best way to respond.

Tony owns the role of Macbeth at the Duke of Cambridge Theatre. He never takes a day off. Jim is the understudy. But he just doesn't seem to want the success he is destined for as much as other people in his life. The story of a fallen king on the battlements that mirrors elements of the plays they are performing in.

We muddle our way through this one with limited background in Shakespeare, fuelled by a deep appreciation of the performances.

Tom is a teacher. He wants to be a writer. He lives with his girlfriend, Gerri who has just got a new job playing a WW2 character called D Day Dorris. While she is out, a homeless man called Migg find's Tom's wallet and returns it. Wanting to repay his honesty, Tom, gives him some money. Wanting to repay his generosity, Migg, buys Tom a bottle of whisky. Tom invites him in for a quick drink, he then ends up moving in, as Tom embarks on a downward spiral into the life of an alcoholic author...much like his hero, Charles Bukowski.

'A Quiet Night In' is the second episode of the first series of Inside No 9. Almost completely free of dialogue, it's the slapstick story of a domestic art heist, which takes place in the home of a couple experiencing some challenges in their relationship.

In this podcast we get into the nuts and bolts of the episode, and propose that beneath the simple exterior, there is a lot going on.

This is our first peak into the worlds that Steve Pemberton and Reece Shearsmith have created for Inside No. 9. It's bizarre, it's weird, but it also seems to make a lot of sense.

We take a fresh look at Sardines; the ultimate 'bottle show', set in a wardrobe, inside a room, in a big country house. At an engagement party there is a game of Sardines being played, and as guests cram into the closet, past traumas have been reignited.
