- 59 - Balancing Entrepreneurship and Motherhood
Welcome back to another episode of the podcast. I’m so excited that you’re here. In today’s episode, I’m peeling back the curtain and getting a little more personal. I am excited to dive deeper into the topic of balancing motherhood and entrepreneurship because it certainly is a balance and while it is rarely a 50/50 split, we all are doing our best to make sure both our business and children thrive.
I only have one child and he’s almost three years old so I’m definitely not claiming to be a parenting pro by any means but I have had experience running my business pre and post children which not everyone has so I feel like I have some insight to share.
Just a disclaimer, everyone’s businesses are different even though we’re all service providers and if you’re listening to this you’re likely thinking about or already offering some form of podcast management services.
Some of us might have more time and resources than others and that’s completely okay. This episode is meant to inspire you to make the most of what you have instead of playing the comparison game because that can be so easy to do with social media. So no matter what, you are doing great mama, and if you’re feeling overwhelmed juggling both motherhood and entrepreneurship, then just know you are not alone and it is only a season.

In today’s episode, we’re covering why podcasters need podcast managers.
In 2020, so many people decided to try their hand at podcasting and so many people stopped after 7 episodes. In fact, about 75% of podcasters experience something called podfade which means they start and then basically fade into oblivion after releasing a handful of episodes.
I think that a lot of this podfade could have been prevented had everyone had a podcast manager on their side to help them meet and exceed their podcast goals, however, I know that hiring on support isn’t always feasible in everyone’s budget especially when they are first starting out.
So let’s dive into why podcasters need podcast managers.

So I’m going to preface this by saying that everyone has different versions of being booked out because it really depends on a variety of factors like your availability, income goals, and more.
Someone who doesn’t have kids or a family yet will probably have more time to dedicate to their business than a work from home mom without any childcare so I want you to keep in mind that everyone’s version of being booked out will vary.

Welcome back to the podcast. I’m so happy you’re here. In today’s episode, we’re talking all about discovery calls.
This is something that isn’t talked about too much in the online space so I want to kind of demystify the discovery call process and give you some tips and tricks on how to make selling yourself on a discovery call easier because it definitely can be a little stressful when you’re first starting your business, especially if you’re an introvert.

This is something that is always a work in progress so if you don’t feel like your client experience is where you want it to be quite yet, that is completely okay. In today’s episode, we’re talking about the super important topic of boundaries.
I’m not going to lie, I haven’t always been the greatest at setting boundaries in my business. I actually feel like I struggled with this up until I got pregnant with my son in 2019. And now, I have no issues setting boundaries with my clients, team members, and just anyone in general in the business realm.

FacebookWed, 26 Jan 2022 - 6 - Creating SOPs in Your Business
I don’t know about you but I am a total systems junkie. I love a good business tool that allows me to automate portions of my business and have streamlined systems and processes for myself and my team to follow.
So if you’re wanting to spruce up your systems this year and get really streamlined, then this episode is for you.
Today we’re chatting all about creating internal SOPs in your business because if you ever want to hire help in the future, you’re going to need well documented SOPs so why not create them now as you go versus being overwhelmed and having to create them in the future when you’re trying to hire someone onto your team.
So if you’re listening to this and you’re like, what the heck is an SOP? Don’t fret. I’m definitely starting with the basics.

FacebookWed, 19 Jan 2022 - 5 - How to Prepare for Your First Client
Getting your first client is a really exciting time so it’s important to be fully prepared so that you can maximize your efforts going forward and hopefully start generating referrals in your business.
So while I think it’s important to be prepared, we don’t need to have all the bells and whistles before we even land our first client so I want to hone in on the bare minimum you need to set yourself up for success.
