Armani fell sound asleep, and, after an indescribable darkness, a flash of light shook her reality. She was standing in what appeared to be Ekon's training yard, in front of her were about 40 women equipped with armor, (some leather, some plate, and some chain mail) swords, and shields. The women in only one of the training lines were dressed in robes and held a staff.

"I know I look like the enemy to you, but I am not. The enemy is my people, my family who also became my target for reasons too momentous to explain right now. There is no time, the attack has been preempted, the entire rebel army of Ebom is headed here right now. Wolves, vampires, lesser demons, and multitudes of ravens will flood the interior of this realm shortly. So the question is, will they let me fight alongside them?" asked Jake firmly as Armani raised his guard and looked every which way.

"When will you be ready to leave for the palace?" Roman, Jake's roommate asked, as he prepared himself for the occasion.

"In a few moments," Jake replied, not moving an inch from where he laid.

"Want me to wait for you, so we can go together?" Roman suggested.

"Nah, don't worry about it. Wouldn't want to delay you." Jake protested.

Roman could tell Jake wanted to be alone, so he didn't push it. He had always found Jake weird. He hardly spoke about himself, and while others spoke, he didn't look like he was paying attention, but still could recollect everything said. Roman gave Jake a long stare before eventually putting on his robe and began staring at his reflection in the mirror instead.

Armani sighed, the last thing she needed at the moment was to go meet Jake. She had enough on her plate to also deal with his stuck-up self. She wondered if she would be able to go all by herself. Though Venus had warned that they should go with their partners, Armani felt the magic garden being within the school premises couldn’t be all that dangerous and decided she would be going alone.
