- 850 - Day 120: Joshua divides the conquered lands to the remaining tribes | Jesus begins his ministry
In Joshua chapters 17 and 18, the Israelites continue the division of the Promised Land under Joshua's guidance. Chapter 17 details the allotments for the tribes of Manasseh and Ephraim, highlighting issues such as gender in inheritance rights and territorial disputes. By chapter 18, seven tribes had not yet received their land, prompting Joshua to urge them to define their territories through a surveying process.
As the land is meticulously divided and the remaining tribes stand ready to claim their inheritance, tension mounts: Will the unresolved territorial disputes disrupt the unity of the Israelites?
In John 1:29-51, John the Baptist identifies Jesus as the "Lamb of God," asserting that Jesus will take away the sin of the world. As Jesus begins to gather his disciples, he calls individuals like Andrew, Peter, Philip, and Nathanael, each following after recognizing him as the Messiah. Jesus impresses Nathanael by revealing his supernatural knowledge, promising even greater signs to come.
As Jesus's group of followers grows, revealing his divine knowledge and identity, one must wonder: What extraordinary signs will Jesus show them next?

These chapters detail the specific boundaries and cities encompassed within these tribal allotments, reflecting God's promises and the fulfillment of Israel's inheritance. As the tribes settle into their new homes, questions arise: Will they remain faithful in the lands marked by their forefathers' struggles? In John 1:1-28, the Gospel begins with the profound declaration that "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God," establishing Jesus's divine nature and eternal existence. John the Baptist appears as a pivotal figure, testifying to the Light coming into the world, preparing the way for Jesus among the people of Judea. In Luke 12:1-34, Jesus warns his disciples against hypocrisy, using the Pharisees as an example, and encourages them to fear God rather than man. He speaks of God's intimate knowledge and care for His people, illustrating this with the value of sparrows and the numbering of hairs on a person's head. Jesus also tells the Parable of the Rich Fool to caution against greed and the reliance on earthly wealth, and he urges his followers to seek God's kingdom above all else, highlighting God's readiness to provide what is needed for those who prioritize His kingdom.
Will the disciples truly understand the depth of God's care for them and shift their focus from earthly anxieties to the pursuit of His kingdom?

In Job 22-24, Eliphaz accuses Job of great wickedness, suggesting his suffering is a direct punishment from God, while Job maintains his innocence and questions why the wicked often prosper despite their sins. Job longs for an audience with God to present his case, expressing frustration over the apparent absence of justice in the world where the wicked thrive, and the innocent suffer. Will Job's faith endure as he seeks answers to the profound injustices of life?
In Matthew 21:18-32, Jesus curses a fig tree for bearing no fruit, symbolizing the judgment on spiritual barrenness. He then enters the temple, overturns the tables of the money changers, and heals the blind and the lame, challenging the religious leaders' authority and priorities. The parable of the two sons illustrates the value of actions over words in serving God, questioning the religious leaders' sincerity and obedience. Will the religious leaders recognize their failure and turn back to God, or will their pride lead them astray?
