For this edition we’re joined by Berlin based, Spanish DJ + Producer, Alienata, a veteran selector with nearly 20 years under her belt, Elena established herself in her native Spain and moved to Berlin in 2011, she has played sets at pretty much every credible and respected club or party on the circuit (including fabric, Berghain and Dave Clarke's ADE bashes at Milkweg), she’s also a regular at Machine parties, doing back to back sets with Tasha and Bloody Mary plus many solo sets, including a killer at last month's E1 party, alongside Anthony Rother and the Zenker Brothers Alienata runs the Electro and Machine Funk focused 'Discos Atonicos’, releasing music by the likes of Dez Williams and Cosmic Force and as a producer has released on Cultivated Electronics and Killekill plus contributed to the Tribology compilation a few years back on Machine. As a DJ, Alienata is a tight, energetic mixer and regularly fires through different genres and styles to get the party jumping, Here we have a Hardgroove and Machine Funk flavoured session that i’m sure you’ll love..

The Hardgroove Mixtape is back with George Tounisidis in the hot seat this time. Whether on Symbolism, Machine or Hardgroove, I’ve been putting out George’s music for a while now, and with his current ‘We Don’t Leave Our Dead Behind’ EP fresh in the stores, it seemed like the perfect time to drop his mixtape. This time around, we’ve got a sweet mix from Spain’s Pushmann, aka Victor M. Villa, a producer I've been supporting for the past few years. He featured on the Synchronicity compilation back in 2021, released a full EP on Hardgroove late last year, and we’re currently finalising a forthcoming EP for Symbolism.

In addition, he’s released music on legendary labels like Axis and KMS, also on solid imprints like Be As One, Matterwave and End of Dayz, plus runs his own N&N label.   As a DJ, his style is not too dissimilar from my mine own tbh, energetic, fast-moving, multi-layered, varied styles and rhythms but always focused on the funk (perfect for the Hardgroove mixtape!). His DJ schedule has seen him drop sets at famed clubs like Florida 135 and Tresor, plus the immense Monegros festival in Spain. Enjoy!!

This time we have a special session from Private Press, one hour of unreleased and forthcoming gems from the duo who dropped their 'Busy Body EP' on Hardgroove in Aug last year. The guys focus on producing high energy dubbed out techno cuts with elements of UK hardcore and hip hop. They are currently working with Earth Trax on their collaborative label Ziemia and have previously released records for Indigo Aera, Oblique and Rekids.

Welcome to the first Hardgroove Mix Tape, a new series of occasional sessions from djs and producers I’m digging. I work with a large number of acts on my record labels, so I thought why not create a podcast to showcase their talents more and get some killer mixes out there.

First up, we have Trackmaster Dre aka Andre Guyvoronsky, a Russian dj and producer who for many years has been big on the house scene with his Tripmastaz alias. Releasing for the likes of DJ Sneak on Magnetic Records, Josh Wink's Ovum and D'Julz’s Bass Culture plus his own self titled imprint.

Trackmaster Dre is his techno-leaning and Chicago influenced side project and as the name would suggest, he’s a master of a tracky dj tools, I’ve been playing lots of his material over the past couple of years and a month or so ago, his EP ’entitled ‘Sixth’ dropped on Hardgroove, so he’s the perfect choice to launch this series.
