Originally starring Jack Lemmon as Stanley Ford, a happily single comic-strip artist whose carefully ordered bachelor life gets turned upside down when a drunken night ends with him married to a woman he barely knows. Naturally, Stanley handles the situation in the healthiest way possible: by turning his marital frustrations into material for his comic strip... including a very detailed plan for murdering his wife.

So, naturally, we're bringing it back for 2026.

Who takes over the Jack Lemmon role? What survives the jump from 1965 to today? And what probably really shouldn't?

Then, as a little bonus for the audience, Freddie shares something considerably more romantic—a song he wrote for his wife, produced by previous Recasting Call guest CJ Plain.

In this episode, chaos and questionable decision-making take center stage as the party’s misadventures escalate in classic fashion.

Things kick off with a spectacularly clumsy moment when Flinth quite literally crashes the scene—falling directly onto Varulle and Drakhan in a pile-up that’s equal parts painful and hilarious. Whether it was poor footing or worse luck, the incident sets the tone: this is not going to be a smooth journey.

Shaking off the impact (and their dignity), the group presses on, drawn deeper into the sewers by an eerie, echoing moan. What starts as curiosity quickly turns into tension, an oppressive and unsettling sound hints that something is very wrong beneath the city streets.

That tension comes to a head when the party discovers a goblin trapped in a brutal torture device. What follows is less a heroic rescue and more a drawn-out moral debate. Can the goblin be trusted? Is freeing it the right thing to do—or a terrible mistake waiting to happen? As opinions clash, the group reveals more about themselves than they might expect, blurring the line between pragmatism and compassion.

From November 2021 to March 2026, this show never missed a week. Not one. And for the final episode, we’re going out the only way that makes sense for this show:

Arguing about movies.

This time, the Bastards gather one last time to debate Movies That Need Remade. Some films had great ideas but terrible execution. Some were victims of their era. And some… well… Hollywood just flat-out owes them another shot.

The shadows lengthen over the Dessarin Valley as the siege of Red Larch reaches a fever pitch. In this pulse-pounding episode, the party is forced to split their strengths to survive the night. Drakhan and Varulle stand as a final, bloody line of defense, holding the barricades against a relentless tide of snarling lycan forces. Their steel and sorcery are all that keep the village from being completely overrun, but as the screams of the pack echo through the streets, it becomes clear that even their bravery has a limit.

Varulle’s "friendship" with the serpent-tattooed cultist was a masterclass in lethal charm—a calculated dance of shared flasks and whispered lies designed to map the path to their inner sanctum. The ruse was working perfectly until the air shattered with the unmistakable roar of Renzor’s steel and Belladonna’s jagged incantations. Their "rescue" attempt, though noble in its misguided fury, instantly vaporized Varulle’s cover, turning a subtle infiltration into a chaotic bloodbath. Now, the trio finds themselves backed against the soot-stained walls of a crumbling tavern, the deceptive warmth of friendship replaced by the searing heat of a village in flames.

As Redlarch burns around them, the "mysterious friend" has vanished into the smoke, replaced by a tide of hooded zealots emerging from the shadows. Survival now demands a frantic, unscripted synergy: Varulle weaving through the embers to parry lunging blades, Renzor acting as a bulwark against the mounting cultist press, and Belladonna desperately channeling magic to hold back the encroaching inferno. Drakhan Drakekin, Varulle, and Flinth try to officially meet their new allies—including the late arrivals Renzor Anar and Belladonna Fiendspring—but the meeting is anything but smooth. It's quickly revealed that Tace of Thunderford was already possessed by a body-snatching demon of the Cregan, leading to a brutal and tragic battle that results in the first casualty: Marvina Morwende.

The party faces their devastating failure, but they must quickly pivot when a legendary enemy thought banished 150 years ago, The Lycan, makes a terrifying appearance. Can this fractured group survive long enough to avenge their fallen comrade and face down a centuries-old foe?
